Guest Reviews
- suzanne (9/5): Friendly, - Spacious lounge and dining area, great sun drenched patio and staff were very attentive, friendly and helpful. Room was a little small for 2 people with two single beds.
- Giosuè (8/5): Wonderful place - Riad Haraka is a wonderful Riad inside the north part of the Marrakech Medina. Room is big and has everything you need. Breakfast was freshly made every morning and packed for us to take away when we had to leave really early in the morning.
Don’t let the narrow streets scare you, the Medina is a very safe place to walk in even at night.
To conclude, a shoutout to the hosts, wonderful people, ready do accomodate all your needs. Room was a little humid, I recommend to leave the dehumidifier on when you leave for the day.

Ontbijt was eenvoudig.

- Sanges (10/5): A really nice séjour in Marrakech. Very pretty. riad. Parking close by at the yacourt door of Medina. Armediaz and Ibrah - Beautiful oasis in the bustling Medina of Marrakech. Clean and charming traditional deco. Delicious breakfast served by smiling Armediaz!
- marinabJ6644ZS (10/5): Lovely accommodation in great location - Amazing hotel with great facilities and lovely staff. The breakfast was lovely and rooftop terrace is a lovely spot. Thank you!!
- Soumiya (10/5): - Good place
- Konstantina (9/5): Superb - The people working there did their absolute best to accommodate my every need.
- Cátia (9/5): Wonderful stay. I'll be back, for sure! - I loved everything! The tranquility of the Riad, waking up to birds singing. The incredible friendliness, helpfulness and kindness of Amediaz, who made my stay so much better. He was tireless! Great location, a 20-minutenwalk from Jemma El Fna square, close enough, but away from the hustle and bustle of the Medina. Nice breakfast. The only thing i didn't like was the pillow - too high for my personal taste.
Also, if the breakfast included fruit, it would be perfect.
- Gerard (9/5): Very comfortable and an excellent host. - Amdiaz was fantastic. He was very helpful in guiding us to excellent places to visit. Everything was great.
- Daniel (10/5): Something different in a positive way - The accommodation was very nice, clean. The staff was very nice, very caring, especially Amediaz, a 10/10 person. On the first day, even though we arrived after breakfast time, he prepared tea and some snacks for us. Also, another day when we left early on a trip before breakfast, he made us a package with some snacks. We even got to talk a little about life. He is a very open person, very helpful. We made a friend. Thanks Amediaz.
- Gabriel (10/5): The host Brahim made me feel like home - The main thing is the host. Brahim and the rest of the staff were brilliant. They look after us the whole time, making sure that we have a pleasant stay. Always ready to get the breakfast, taxi and tour bookings ready for us, giving us advice where to go and be safe. The riad is lovely, they have a nice patio in the middle, decoration was beautiful, they have a terrace to enjoy the sun. And the location was perfect, 10 minutes from the heart of the Medina, but in a quite area. No noise in the street. Just small things to be honest. The mattress was a little stiff, and there were tiny ants in the toilet. But not big deal. The overrall experience was excellent. I would return to this riad, no doubt.
- Natalia (9/5): Superb -
- Miriam (9/5): Friendly staff - Very clean Riad. Breakfast was good. The guy at the reception was very nice and friendly. The bed was a bit hard tho.
- 499xenian (10/5): Authentic and homely - Staying here felt like a true authentic experience. It is a nice building nestled away in the medina.
Amediaz was very attentive and looked after us extremely well for our four night stay, made us feel at home and special.
Ibrihim was lovely too and gave some good local tips.
They helped us sort out activities.
The bedroom comfort levels are basic. The double bed was 2 small singles pushed together. There is almost no street noise.
It is a very small hotel and there is an atium in the middle, it is generally quiet at night but can sometimes hear guests coming in, sometimes can faintly hear the call to prayer nearby, can hear birds singing inside the hotel from 6amish.
Breakfast is primarily bread and pancakes and jams, and a small yoghurt. And tea or coffee.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay and can recommend it as an authentic experience :)
- Renyanbal (10/5): THE BEST RECEPTION GUY EVER - Amediaz!!!! - The place is beautiful. I recomend this place for couples and families.
The best thing from this Riad, is Amediaz, who is at the reception, he is a lovely and sweet guy, actually he was always there to help us, he gave me his whatsapp, and he was always asking if we needed something. All my experience was great because of him! i will be back to visit him.
- simonbS6890WL (10/5): Marrakesh madness! - We stayed here for 4 nights in the peaceful location of Riad Haraka. Marrakesh is a crazy, vibrant place but this location was an oasis of calm in the middle of it all. Our super friendly host Amediaz was so helpful. Nothing was too much trouble.
- Go06450361465 (10/5): Wonderful stay at Riad Haraka - I stayed at Riad Haraka for two nights while visiting a friend in Marrakech and had a fantastic experience. The riad is in a very safe and convenient location in the medina, making it easy to navigate to Jemaa el Fna without getting lost in narrow walkways—ideal for solo travelers, families, and first-time visitors.
From booking to departure, I felt completely comfortable and well cared for. Amediaz, who manages reception and assists with meals, was an exceptional host—always available, helpful, and accommodating. The riad itself is beautifully presented, clean, and comfortable, with hot showers and heating in the rooms, which was a welcome feature during winter. All the staff were polite and friendly, making the stay even more enjoyable.
I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again—thank you for a wonderful experience!
- neiltwosheds (10/5): Superb - Absolutely brilliant.
First time in Marrakesh, at first we were not sure, but a wonderful host Amadiaz who welcomed us, made us so welcome and during the stay advised us on many things. This is a nice place to stay, especially because they have a special host to look after you. Marrakesh and Amadiaz, thank you
- 14rhysw (10/5): Excellent value for money, Amediaz is great! - Excellent accommodation is a perfect location. The host Amediaz made our experience as he was so attentive and helpful, giving us so many tips, making us lovely breakfasts and arranging our transport. (I would say he definitely deserves a pay rise if he hasn’t got one already!!!)
- Jade (9/5): Superb -
- Amelie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ali (9/5): Great stay and Ibrahim is very good person to guide you and assist - Good place and prefer to stay Direction and access to parking
- asadr769 (10/5): A great experience better then a hotel - I had a wonderful stay at Riad Hakara! The room was impeccably clean, beautifully decorated, and had a charming traditional feel, complete with modern comforts like air conditioning and always-hot water in the shower. The breakfast was filling and delicious, with a great variety of options to start the day. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Special thanks to Ibrahim and Mustapha for arranging taxis and for their helpful advice throughout our stay—they truly went above and beyond. Highly recommend for anyone looking for an authentic, warm, and comfortable experience!
- intrepid-travellor (2/5): Never again - The worst hotel we’ve ever stayed in. The rooms were small, no wardrobe, dirty dining/ sitting area, washing hung up on the roof top area. No alcohol at all even though they said they had wine, television not working although the seats in the so called lounge were like a doctor waiting room. Breakfast ok but the first evening meal was not . Stayed just one night (booked for four)
- Drew (10/5): Comfortable - Clean and friendly staff. Mustafa was always available, warm and friendly. Bent over backwards to help us. Food was delicious and fresh. Happy to go again if in marrakesh - good value for money. Would like the ability to have breakfast in the room but we respected the wishes of the establishment - the breakfasts were excellent.
- Cindy (9/5): Nice simple riad, helpful and friendly staff, it was peaceful and comfortable. -
- Tu (10/5): Great stay in Marrakech! - Ibrahim & Mustafa are gracious hosts. They are attentive and accommodating. Their Riad offers good value in a convenient location within the Medina. We'd stay again the next time in Marrakech. Nothing
- Domantas (10/5): Safe haven in Marrakesh - Mustafa and Brahim welcomed us very nicely with tea and some sweets. The Riad is lovely, with good rooms, towels, hot water, wifi and so on. It felt like a safe haven in Marrakesh. The location is great, next to a famous restaurant; you just need to Google the restaurant on maps, and the Riad is on the next little street in the corner. They arranged a taxi for us straight from the Riad, and Mustafa even waited with us in the street until the taxi arrived at 4 in the morning. Thank you very much. all good
- Saadia (7/5): A beautiful riad, big thanks to Mustapha and ibrahim for their kindness -
- Aaron (10/5): Wonderful stay at the Riad! Staff were 110% helpful and easily contactable via WhatsApp for any questions or recomendati - Super friendly and helpful staff! Google maps location was incorrect so a little hard to find when checking in
- Clark (7/5): Good Riad in Marrakech for an overnight stay! - Nice Riad at a good price for an overnight stay. Mousafa was very good to work with, was accommodating and coordinated an early morning taxi to airport for me with no issues!
- Digby (8/5): Copy traditional riad. - Small riad, warm welcome once check in get sorted. A few people around the house but couldnt help with our check-in until the person-in-charge finally arrived, although they served the comforting morrocan mint tea whilst we waited.
- A.radi (10/5): Exceptional - Breakfast and hospitality were a great 👍
- Ameriga (6/5): basic - unfortunately during my check-in the manager was not around and the maroccan lady didn’t speak any English and she couldn’t get me to connect to the wifi. so I had to wait 2 hrs that the manager came back to get connected to wifi and figure out how to get out of the place (the area is a total labyrinth) my suggestion is that you should have some instructions on how to connect to wifi that the guests can use independently. I wanted to chill in the terrace but it was full of bedsheet drying so the chairs were not usable
- Jacqueline (9/5): Superb -
- Esteball (10/5): Amazing stay in old medina of Marrakesh with a superb host Mustapha!! - Very beautiful and comfortable Riad in the old city center of Marrakesh! The welcome of the Host Mustapha was amazing! He is so sweet and works so hard to make you comfortable. The breakfast was so big and prepared with care. Mustapha will do everything in his power to make you feel comfortable!
- Proszkowska (9/5): Recommend, great value to money! Exceptionally nice owners! - The owners are exceptionally kind, helpful. Breakfast tasty, place squeaky clean. Good location and quiet. The only thing is internet, wifi does not come well up to the room. But it is actually a plus, finally some time offline at the evening 😁🙌🏽
- Elinor (10/5): Exceptional - Great stay. Mustafa was an excellent host and could not have gone more out of his way to help us. Comfortable beds and breakfast was tasty.
- Noor (4/5): Unprofessional team - I chose this riad mainly due to it’s location. The interior was nice and the lady working there “noura” was friendly too. Access to the souq is not easy at all. The received service was not professional too. Upon checking-in, they made me wait for a long time and then asked me to choose which room I want and when i did, they told me that there is no key for this room but it’s a safe place!!!!!! I wanted to runaway from this place as soon as I got in but had a difficulty in finding available riads since it was a high-demand season!
Breakfast was really bad, the butter that I got was already used and the juice was canned juice not even a fresh orange juice!!
I requested to keep my luggage until leaving the hotel by 3 am, they told me yes and when I came back to the riad the manager hanane was there and kept asking me to book a room for a reduced price and kept mentioning that I have to do it since this is a hotel and otherwise i would invite you stay at my house, excuse me?? I could have booked at any other hotel, it was just a matter of transferring my luggage between different riads that I found unrealistic for less than 8 hrs stay!
I accepted the offer (although I should haven’t but it was late night already) When i got into the room, they gave me a master key to use so basically they had it before and simply decided to not give it to me!
They have a wild cat that keeps attacking guests, I do not have a problem with pets at all but that cat was aggressive and kept jumping all over the place!
I spent 10 days at marrakech, at 3 different venues, this last one was the worst experience I have ever had in my life. They kept asking me to write them a review, so here it is!
- James (6/5): Reasonable, wouldn’t go back. Much better value elsewhere with more helpful hosts - Breakfast was good, room was fine wifi didn’t reach the room. The host was unhelpful and couldn’t take our payment as couldn’t use his own card machine, ended up having to walk to an ATM with him at 7.30AM when we were in a rush for a transfer. I tried to call in advance to arrange a transfer and the staff were completely clueless and unhelpful
- Maria (10/5): - Very beautiful and cozy place to stay. Feel like home. Host is very friendly and helpful.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice Riad, a little out of the way. Quiet area. The proprietors are very nice. Made sure we got to the airport even though there was a problem with the transport. The in-house dinner was ok but you're better off going to the restaurant on Riad Larrouse Square a few blocks away.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Otroligt trevlig personal, superfint rum och trevlig takterrass.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - No frills
Easy to find
Located in the Medina
Close to shopping stalls
Staff is helpful and speaks ok English
Tips - wear comfortable walking shoes not flip flops or Moroccan slippers and be prepared to haggle for everything! Especially watch out for anyone that acts like they are trying to be helpful. They will ask you for money afterwards and usually without really helping you. This is common in all of the cities in Morocco.
- paul (8/5): Traditional riad - Despite the property undergoing some renovations, i enjoyed my 3 night stay. It is located right in amongst the narrow streets and alley ways of the old centre. Easy walk down through the bazaars to the msin square. Be prepared for a walk through a maze abd its helpful to havd google maps! Staff were very friendly, breakfast fabulous and juddt an authentic experience.
- Deanne (10/5): - The staff make this Riad, they can’t do enough for you. They made reservations for us, booked taxis, picked us up from the airport, walked us part way to our destination on one occasion as we were worried we’d get lost etc.
The rooms were cleaned daily and had everything you need including a proper hairdryer. Convenient location. Breakfast was great too.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Hi all,
My partner and I stayed here at the lovely Riad Haraka for 10 nights as a central base as we were hiking up Mount Toubkal. We were picked up at the airport promptly which was great because after reading other reviews about the location, we were slightly worried about getting lost. When the door opened, we were welcomed by a great guy who checked us in, took our bags to our room and served us tea on the terrace whilst chatting to us which was nice.
There was a slight issue on the first night. Our room we booked was double booked so we had to stay in another room. This wasn’t a major issue, the temporary room was nice for the 1 night and we moved rooms at 10am the next morning.
The Riad
This Riad is gorgeous. Love the décor and it’s so peaceful. They have a pet turtle and we fed him a few times on the terrace Other guests were friendly. Staff were great. They took us in to Jema El Fena to show us the way which was nice. Breakfast was huge and tasty and served whenever you came down. Rooms and Riad extremely clean, always came back to a lovely made room with fresh towels etc. We had Tagine with them one lunch and it was very tasty and reasonably priced at 150dh pp. Sweet tea is a must, I loved it.
The room
We booked the Junior Suite. Great room!! Bed was fantastic, lovely décor and en-suite with a good shower etc. nothing I can say other than we loved it.
The location
It’s very true – you can get lost walking the streets. One thing I did was select a central
- nik (10/5): Very nice riad - We made a 4 Day Trip to morocco and enjoyed riad haraka during our stay !
- hanna (8/5): Inside Medina lanes, residential crowded - Friendly staff, owner; terrace breakfast included; authentic artistic black African decos; no TV in room; owner also has travel agency can book Local trips to Berber, Safari. Wonderful stay
- raisha (10/5): nice morrocan style hotel - We arrived late to the city and they had a driver waiting for us in the train station, who took us to the hotel. once we arrived they gave us tea and explained us how to move in the city. The room was very nice decorated and clean. the breakfast was not buffet but it was very nice as well. the whole experience was great.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Beautiful Moroccan Riad - The hotel (Riad) was beautiful and tastefully decorated. Management were especially kind and accommodating. Breakfast was really nice.
Touts- Do not ask for directions from any young men on the street. If you do, they assume you want a guide and will follow you for as long as you allow and then demand money from you. The hotel is about a 20 minute walk to the souk and finding your way back is difficult at first. The only hassle free way to ask for directions is to ask a shopkeeper (as they are anchored to their shop) and will give directions freely and without obligation.
- Justin (8/5): Great place to crash - The staff was great. They arranged for an airport pickup even though I didn't get in until 1:30 am. They had the room ready for me.
Staff was helpful with how to get around area and arranged for transport back to airport.
- Tim (10/5): Good Service And Friendly Staffs - This hotel can provide services that can bring you from airport to hotel, and the staffs are patient and friendly, the room is clean and tidy. Strongly Suggest! The only disadvantage is not easy to find the location.
- Ahmed (10/5): Wonderful stay - Amazing stay at this riad, very helpful staff.
Thanks Ibrahim and Catia
- Franchesca (10/5): Would recommend - I traveled to Marrakech with a friend. The riad is located in the centre and we arrived really late so we felt a little unsafe on our way to the hotel but Cathy and the guys who worked there made us feel very welcome and safe. Best customer service I have received was in this riad! I would 100% recommend it, we really enjoyed our stay.
- Rafael (4/5): Very hard to find with GPS and full of touts nearb - The hotel is not located where it shows on the map. We tried finding it with Google Maps, but weren't able to. Some touts got to us and we accepted their "help" because there was nothing we could do. They got us there but, of course, demanded money for it. Thankfully I only had a few coins in my wallet, and gave them about 22dh, which they were not at all happy about and kept asking for more. After we punched the hotel door a few times, the owner appeared and they vanished. The owner's wife said that she sent us a text, she didn't say what she wrote, but we didn't get it since we don't have mobile signal outside Brazil. They should send people emails instead.
The owner was nice and even spoke portuguese. But when we complained about the touts and the wrong location of the hotel on hotels.com, he completely ignored us, and seemed annoyed by our question, so we decided to let it go. We memorized the way to the hotel and thankfully didn't get lost again.
The shower head was broken, we had to hold it while taking a shower. There was only a shower curtain, so the bathroom floor got wet.
It is very hard to sleep past 7a.m., there was a lot of noise of plates and silverware being handled.
Breakfast is plain and the guy who serves it takes a long time to prepare it. We had to wait for over 20 minutes on our first day.
I would not stay there again and would not recommend to anyone going to Marrakech, there are many nicer hotels outside the medina with similar prices.
- siv (10/5): Fantastic hotel experience. A home away from home! - This is the place to stay in Marakech. I can not recomend this hotel enough.
- Melanie (10/5): Amazing riad! - my husband and I stayed at the Riad during our stay in Morocco for our honeymoon. Upon arrival, we were both surprised at how narrow the roads were to get to our hotel and amazed at how cars were passing through it. The hotel was not exactly at the location on google maps, but was not far. You cannot reach the Riad by car but need to walk less than 5 minutes from a parking lot. Even though we arrived late at night, we were greeted by Said, Riad host, and amazing moroccan tea. He was very welcoming and showed us our room which we were so glad had AC because it is hot in Morocco! We both loved our experience in Morocco and at the Riad, the staff were always so nice and very helpful if we needed to go out to get water or food, they would accompany us since it is very easy to get lost in the square. The RIad is beautifully decorated and immerses you in the culture, we both wanted a more authentic experience than staying at a hotel and you get exactly that at the Riad. Having only 6 rooms, you can get to know the other guests and interact with the staff on a more personal level. They make you feel like old friends and like this is your home away from home as well. We would highly recommend the Riad to anyone planning a trip to Marrakech. The people were so welcoming and made sure our stay was amazing.
- Patrice (10/5): Nice Riad - Very nice stay! The place is clean and well situated. The terrasse have an awesome view at night. Mohamed was a GREAT host. The best! The man makes the place.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Buena relacion calidad precio. Buen servicio.
- Hisham (10/5): Brilliant authentic hotel - Brilliant authentic hotel. The staff are excellent and the room was very confortable.
- Jasmine (10/5): Perfect little piece of peace in Marrakech - The hotel staff were super friendly and helpful! Marrakech can be a little overwhelming, but the Riad really was a nice respite. The staff really made me feel at home and it was so nice. I could not have stayed at a better place.
- Shatema (10/5): Best in Marrakech - I absolutely loved my stay at Riad Haraka and I completely understand why it's a fan favorite. Said and company were among the best hosts I've ever encountered. The vibe is so chill, the place is gorgeous and the terrace is sublime. Whenever I'm in Marrakesh and its available, I'll stay here.
Susana y fran
- Verified traveler (4/5): Worst stays ever. Unfriendly behaviour by Owner. - This was the most notorious neighborhoods I have ever stayed in my life in any country. Riad's are just homes converted to a hotel. The owner was a grumpy fellow and not friendly at all. Only cash and no credit card. The only saving grace was the morning breakfast. Not a friendly place to be in. The neighborhood sucks.
- Denyse (10/5): Home from home - Everything about this Riad is first class. Nothing is too much trouble and the standard overall is impeccable, just like staying with family, a real home from home
A beautiful Riad, everything is clean and the food is amazing. All the staff are very friendly and helpful
- Anne Kari (10/5): Kan anbefales!
