My wife didn’t care for the mattress since she has back issues. All in all we enjoyed our stay there and would consider it again.

• Sophia (10/5): - I didn't like the bath room window did not have a curtain. Made a private room seem not so private. Staff was very kind! They allowed us late check out last minute free of charge. The pool and property were well kept. Its less then a 2 min walk to the beach, food and shops.

• Tamie (10/5): - Quiet little place out of the busy PCB area. Not fancy, but very quaint and great for families. Small, but equipped kitchen and great water pressure. Came for a girls' trip and the only time we left the property was to go snorkeling at the state park.
• Christopher (6/5): Clean but quite run down. - *Warning-avoid the pool steps. See below.* There was some good and some bad. We knew going in that we chose a cheaper place in order to save some money to be spent elsewhere. For the price, it is fairly as expected. When we arrived, there was a small mix up on our reservation but the office lady handled it well and ended up giving us a different room closer to the beach than expected, which was nice. The rooms were clean, however in need of some maintenance and pick-me-up. The hot water faucet in our shower leaked non stop (room 3 at Lolleys) creating boiling water spewing out constantly while you showered. Our first night stay, we took a quick late swim before the pool closed and my daughter ended up slicing the bottom of her pinky toe off on the steps on the shallow end. There are porcelain tiles broken on the edge of the steps creating sharp spots. I did bring it to the offices attention and was told "they've been meaning to fix that". The maintenance gentleman I spoke with was kind and caring and offered any help needed. Overall, an okay place to stay for the lower cost, just keep in mind its pretty run down.
• Stephanie (8/5): Great location, Nice room, a little outdated. - We had a nice stay. We loved that it was a very short walk to the beach and a very short walk or drive to everything we needed or wanted while on our trip. Parts of our room were a little outdated, but functional. There are a few things that could be better with little cost. 1. Add a tall mirror. I am short and the mirror in the bathroom was pretty high. 2. Raise the shower head. My husband is 5'8" and he had to duck to use the shower. 3. Use brighter LED bulbs in some of the lights. Our room was pretty dark. Because our room was on a main floor right in front of the parking lot I did not feel comfortable opening the curtains so we had to rely on the lights, but they were not bright enough. 4. Add a comfy living room type chair. I wanted a comfortable place, other than on the bed, to sit and read a book.
• Virginia (10/5): - This place looks a little worn on the outside, but delightful on the inside. The staff is excellent and helpful. It was quiet at night too. Very family friendly and even had tables chairs and grills to use. The room was very clean and had everything you would need. We were right on the beach with a view to die for. I would definitely recommend this place. I will be booking here again!

• James (2/5): - We knew this was an older property however, we didn’t expect it to be so rundown and in need of repair. Air conditioner was old and so loud we couldn’t sleep. Bathroom light was out, bathtub clogged, so many things not working/broken. Worst part was the beds were so uncomfortable. Flat pillows. Towels had hair in them. We debated whether to leave and go elsewhere because we didn’t get any sleep but we’d already paid in full.
• Verified traveler (4/5): Only good thing was that it was on the beach. - I went in with less than average expectations, because it was a place more on the cheaper side. Which meant I didn’t expect anything fancy. But there was no hospitality. We had to bring your dirty towels to the office in order to get new clean ones. It was required to take your trash to the dumpster by the road, instead of having staff change out the trash. •The kitchen/bedroom/bathroom smelled like mildew the whole time which caused all of our belongings to smell like it as well. •Door leading outside didn’t have a good seal so we could see daylight coming in the room all around the door trim. •Windows were flimsy & moved when barely being touched. •There was rust & stains on the refrigerator. • Johnna (2/5): - This is a motel with no maid service, not even trash removal at the end of your stay, no fresh linens, if you want extra towels you have to take your dirty ones to the office to get new ones. The bathroom was filthy, mold and dirt in the floor tile, we didn't even want to walk on it barefooted. The fixtures and sink were full of flaking rust. Missing screws from outlet covers in the bathroom, no GFCI plugs in the bathroom or kitchen. One light bulb in a light above the kitchen. The lower cabinets smell like musty and mildew. When we asked to be moved we were told it was fully booked, and when I brought up about the corroded sink with flaking rust and the nasty mold in the bathroom their reply was "this is a motel for the 50's and the salt air makes things rust." Trust me, I get a bit of surface rust but this was serious corrosion and flaking rust!! I had to buy a a scrub brush and tile cleaner with bleach to make an area to walk on the bathroom floor but for the most part we just keep our shoes on. Bare minimum of kitchen ware plates and silverware. $200 plus a night for a run down rusty, corroded old motel. Not enough parking for everyone, you have to carry your bags, groceries and anything else you bring in and out from across the street over the raggedy gravel driveway. You can constantly smell the dumpster when you are outside. Late check-in consists of them leaving your room open with your parking pass and keys inside. Yes, top notch security there!!! NEVER AGAIN!!!

• Andrew (8/5): Nice Little Slice of Relaxation - Our stay was exactly how we wanted it… peaceful & beautiful. I believe we booked prior to the pool issue so was unaware that was out of commission until we arrived, otherwise everything was great. The beds are comfy and just mere steps to the sand. Super close to St Andrew’s which was on the top of our To Do list this time as we had never been. Just outside of all the hustle & bustle that comes with PCB. The outside is a little dated at first glance, but a fresh coat of paint would certainly fix that right up! The inside was nice, comfortable, and surprisingly spacious for an older property like this. The staff was so friendly and accommodating, as well which is a huge bonus. We will certainly be back the next time PCB comes across our vacation calendar!

• donald (6/5): - Room is outdated and the floor had soft spots which required my 165lb self to be cautious when walking around. Very convenient to the beach though. I’m going to stop going to Panama after going there for the last 30 years. The price to stay is not worth it anymore.
• Ralph (8/5): - My family and I enjoyed our vacation stay at Colonial Shores. Owner upgraded our room at no additional charge and without me even asking. Would have given 5 stars, but bathroom fan did not work and fold out couch mattress was stained. Asked Manager not to fix during our stay. As nice as they were, I am sure they were not aware of the problem and have since fixed both problems. Will stay here again and would recommend to friends.

• Andrea (10/5): - This is the second time we have stayed at Lollye and it was just as amazing as the first. The staff is so nice and everything is so convenient. Everyone there was so nice and it was calm and quiet.

There is nothing fancy about this hotel but, that’s how we like it! We walked in and were shocked at what we got for the price we paid. It was a little outdated but it was clean and we had everything we needed. We were also able to drive to anything we wanted within 10-15 minutes. We will definitely be back to Colonial Shores!!!

• Brian (8/5): Not bad - This was advertised as a no-frills motel. Although dated, it actually had a small refrigerator, a microwave and and a cabinet with a sink. Again, the decor was dated but the room was clean and comfortable. The motel doesn't offer in room cleaning but it wasnt a problem for us. You take your dirty towels to the office and get clean ones. We were there for a motorcycle rally so we spent very little time in the room but we enjoyed our stay and would stay again. As long as you aren't expecting the Taj Mahal and realize that what you're getting is basic, you should be fine. Again, it was clean and no bugs so it worked fine for us.

• Verified traveler (8/5): Clean! Comfortable! Convenient! - An older "vintage" motel with pool, located across the street from beach. Safe. Quiet. Very clean! Comfortable mattress, fluffy soft towels. AC = window unit and is loud! Didn't bother us much but could be issue for others. Kitchen = microwave, coffeemaker, toaster, motel-sized fridge BUT only had 4 spoons and 4 coffee mugs so bring your own kitchenware. Would like to see more outdoor furniture: for each room & around the pool patio. Have stayed twice - would stay again, would recommend.

• Vickie (10/5): - This place has a heart. You get one on one dealings. They care and do all they can to accommodate their guests. We have been staying for years and feel like it’s family. The pea gravel is iconic. You feel like you step back in the 60s with the two story and wood plank upper floor. The rooms are simplistic but bright. Great AC and heat. I would suggest bringing extension cords and clothing hangers. And maybe a small table if you need a place to put your Knick knacks as counter space is limited. There is a kitchen dinette and most dishes are available. The views from any of the rooms is hard to beat and out does your 23 story condos. The beach is clean and not too chaotic even in the summer. Most attractions are close enough to endure the traffic but once you get back to Lolleye, you feel like your in a peaceful place. The pool is across the little access type road (Surf). We love this place and know LOTB will find its way into your heart too.
• Joseph (6/5): - Kind of outdated and minimum amenities, but good location and okay for the price. Needs better parking and at least have working appliances, sinks that aren't stopped up, and an available iron/ironing board in each room.
• Kelly (10/5): - We honestly enjoyed staying there more than our normal newer condominiums. The pool and beach are so close and the staff is amazing! Rooms are very clean and comfortable. Very quiet and laid back! Our new favorite place and i hate to say it but I'm a hotel/condo snob. We throughly enjoyed our trip and was pleasantly surprised! We will be going back.
• Andrew (10/5): Relaxing stay - Our room was very clean. Staff very friendly. Old school feel about the place. Not many electrical outlets. Bring extension cords and usb ports. Beautiful view, right on beach. Nice pool. Kitchen furnishings not much to brag about. Bring extra silverware, pots/pans, baking sheet, strainer, paper towels, and TP, unless you like sandpaper. etc. Loved my stay. Will definitely go back. Just bring a few things from home to cook with. The town is pretty spread out. Not much within walking distance, except for the beach. Nearest Walmart about mile and a half away for anything you need to buy. Parking is a bit scarce, but not bad. Jet ski rental right next to beach entrance. Wifi available but very weak Overall, it was nice and comfy, very relaxing. And reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend.
• Rachel (10/5): - The check in staff was absolutely delightful. I wish I caught her name but we chatted about Tallahassee (where we were coming from) and she lived in the same area for years. She went over all the rules and regulations in a respectful manner. The hotel itself was very convenient to the beach and had all amenities you could want. It's not the same type of property as the high rises but you know that when you book. The room was spotless and had all necessary items.

• Alicia (10/5): Home Away From Home - Colonial Shores is clean and convenient. Lori was great to work with because we ended up staying an extra day and did not have to switch rooms. I like knowing that no one will be in my room while I am out. I didn’t mind taking out my own garbage and having the towel exchange. However, bring your own coffee and filters. I would definitely stay again.

• Kimberly (6/5): Musty - Our reservation didn't make it from hotels.com to their book. So I was a bit paniced since we had driven down to Florida from Michigan during spring break. After a phone call, they were able to get us a room which looked just like the pictures of the room we reserved. It needed to be cleaned so they wouldn't let us in it for an hour and they wouldn't let us use a restroom which was frustrating because I REALLY had to go. We got in the room and it looked clean but smelled very musty.
• Eric (10/5): Spring Break, P.C.B!!!! - This was our second time staying and it was fantastic. The view of the ocean and short distance to the beach is Amazing. Our kiddos lived in the swimming pool day and night. Staff is very polite and helpful, rooms are clean and comfy. We will be back

I will definitely stay here again as the prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend this place if you're short on money. Plus its right on the beach.

• Michael (10/5): All we could ask for - Loved this place. I am a morel person and this place just felt right. Beautiful views. Great location. Clean room. Comfortable bed. Nice kitchen. Enjoyed our stay here.

• Alan W (2/5): - The staff is very helpful! The rooms was terrible. Everything. I slept, the bathroom worked the door lock. That is about it. Nothing on top of that. The room needed a complete gut and rehab. I was there by myself, otherwise I would have bailed.
