Guest Reviews
- John (10/5): - Our favorite place yet on our UK tour. What a fabulous host Lucy is. Location was beautiful, room was perfect and breakfast was great. Thanks for the great stay!
- Gregory (10/5): Wonderful room and host. - Wonderful place. Great room and wonderful host Lucy. She provided an awesome home cooked breakfast and plenty of suggestions that made our trip better. Don’t hesitate. Book this place!
- Leeanda (10/5): - Such a spacious suite with an additional sitting room viewing the mountains. The views were exceptional. James & Lucy were kind to let us check in early. They were also so helpful with dinner recommendations in the area. Breakfast options were delicious. Lucy was most helpful planning our routes for the next days journey. They were both so kind and full of information.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Wonderful stay - Hosts were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was terrific. Would stay again.
- Jim (10/5): - Thank you!
- Tina (10/5): - Due to the incoming storm, the owner was very nice and allowed us to come very early and check in Since all of the tours and sites were closed for the day.
- Mary (10/5): - Our family (me, my husband and our five year old daughter) had a wonderful stay at Tirindrish House. The location is close to many attractions and restaurants and Lucy is absolutely lovely! Highly recommended.
- Janice (8/5): - We arrived late to Tirindrish House. Our fault, we added a stop at Stirling Castle on our way from Edinburgh. I wish we could have had more time to see the area (hence the “goods”). Our hosts were wonderful, the room clean and comfortable, and the breakfast excellent!
- Ann-Maree (10/5): Beautiful relaxed venue of high quality - Fabulous accommodation. Just 3 rooms let by Lucy and James, who own the local brewery also. Great breakfast cooked to order and rooms are well decorated. Lcuy sells her art at the house if you are interested in Scottish landscapes in watercolour, and some oil. Very quiet, blackout curtains, comfy medium mattress and good pillow selection. Highly recommend and would stay again.
- Kai (10/5): - Wish we could have stayed longer. Host was extremely nice, home was clean and comfy. Breakfast was amazing.
- Sandra (10/5): - Excellent!
- skye (10/5): - Lovely place
- COLBY (10/5): - We loved our stay at Tirindrish House. The room we stayed in was big, which was a nice change! The breakfast was yummy. The hosts are quite fantastic. Upon departure, we were able to purchase a picnic lunch from them which enabled us to enjoy a full day in Glencoe without needing to stop and locate a restaurant. You get great service when you stay at the Tirindrish House.
Incidentally, we needed to do laundry and found a great little laundromat at the Ben Nevis Holiday Park in Fort William. You pay with credit card and soap is included.
- Sidney (10/5): - A truly historic property, it was elegant and beautifully decorated. The hosts were delightful. Definitely worth staying here.
- Sandeep (10/5): - Lucy was a great host, loved the place.
- Megan Luise (10/5): - James welcomed us on arrival and showed us to our room. He gave us a run down of where to get dinner then stayed for a lovely chat. It felt like catching up with an old friend! Tirindrish House is such a beautiful quiet spot my only regret is not staying longer. Would definitely stay here again - for longer!
- stephen (10/5): 10/10 - 10/10 would highly recommend
- Patricia (10/5): - Tirindish House is a historical home converted into an absolutely charming accommodation. The hostess/owner, Lucy, is gracious and goes above and beyond for guests. Delightful accommodation with a great breakfast, clean rooms, and comfortable beds. Just a lovely place to stay!

- Diane (10/5): A lovely stay! - Tirindrish House is a treasure. We only had one night and I regret not staying longer. Lucy is a wonderful host and the grounds and surroundings are beautiful. Do have the full Scottish breakfast!
- Kate (10/5): What a gem! - Absolutely the right choice of first night stay in Scotland! Beautiful location and home and room. Felt really pampered with the bed and bathroom. Comfortable lounge downstairs also to sit in. Lucy was a friendly and caring host. We enjoyed a walk locally in the evening as we did not need an evening meal. We had a great breakfast.
- Janelle (10/5): - Our host greeted us with a smile and showed us around the house. He had a lot of knowledge about the history of the home and helped us book reservations for dinner. The rooms were great!
- julie (10/5): - This property is very quirky and calming it is a perfect retreat. The hosts are amazing.

- Jennifer (10/5): - Lucy was a wonderful host. Room & bath were spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious.
- Bryan (10/5): Lovely house in beautiful location - Had the pleasure of staying here for 4 days to celebrate our wedding Anniversary. The house is in a scheduled spot just off the main rd which made for a very peaceful stay. Location is stunning with many beauty spots very close by. Not been in the area for many years but we certainly wont be leaving it long before we are back.
- Jane (10/5): Perfect Stay - Tirindrish House is a beautiful place. Very well looked after, clean and very comfortable. It felt like the perfect mix between bed and breakfast and boutique hotel. The owner was extremely helpful and made us feel very welcome.
- Rachel (10/5): Lovely - Lovely place with beautiful views. We would love to stay again. We really enjoyed that there was a tennis court with racquets and balls that you could use.
- Aaron (10/5): - Second time staying here - Absolutely fantastic location and Lucy was a great host the whole time - Amazing breakfast each day, very knowledgeable of local areas and incredibly welcoming - We will be staying again for sure
- AM (10/5): - Very nice stay. Helpful lady & did a lot to make us comfortable
- Emma (10/5): Perfect B&B - One of the best B&B’s we have had the pleasure to stay in. Charming old house with fabulous Jacobite history (see the coins and musket balls in the dining room). Ideal quiet location - great for Ben Nevis and to explore Fort William and up to Mallaig - 10/15 minutes walk to Spean Bridge. Wonderful hosts who went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect - lovely home cooked breakfasts with plenty of choice. Massive room and bathroom with great homely touches. Would recommend Tirindrish House in a heartbeat.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The property has a lot of history attached to it. The hosts were very helpful and the rooms were comfortable with a very lovely breakfast.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Loved the wonderful, quirky house and our room ! Hosts were warm and welcoming and had excellent recommendations for dinner. We wished we could have stayed longer!
A minor complaint: WiFi was a bit temperamental in the room.
- Greg (10/5): Lovely B&B for Spean Bridge and surrounding area - Lovely property in a great location for Spean Bridge and surrounding area.
- Andrew (10/5): - A really excellent place to stay. Ideal facilities for me doing outdoor activities as was very comfortable and great facilities both in bedrooms and in house. James and Lucy were great hosts in making sure all their guests were comfortable and welcome.
- Jennifer (10/5): - A charming home in a glorious setting. Our hosts were so friendly and accommodating. We had everything we needed and more. So happy we chose to stay here.
- Verified traveler (10/5): All round excellence - Excellent all round including fridge and fresh juice in room. I arrived late by train and the host was kind enough to meet me at the station
- Junhong (10/5): Perfect little gem in the Highlands - Had a short but great stay at this little gem in the Highlands. Our ground-floor room was clean, well-furnished with comfortable beds and a thoroughly modern bathroom. Breakfast was delicious and filling, a perfect fuel-up for a long day driving and/or hiking. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the owner, Lucy, who also very kindly helped us to arrange dinner reservations nearby.
- Barbara (10/5): Perfect stay - The rooms are on the same property as a castle that is rented for special events. In fact that was where the reception was. Are room was large and beautifull, and they had a shared kitchen, dning room, and sitting room at each building. Top notch place!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - We had a great time. Would stay there again. Bed was a bit short for our liking. But over all a wonderful place to stay.
- Y T (8/5): Quiet place, helpful hosts - Tirindrish House is a nice B&B. It’s about a mile out of town in Spean Bridge in a quiet neighborhood. James and Lucy were kind and helpful. Our beds were comfortable and the amenities in the room were good. Though the temperature setting was a bit lower than I like. The breakfast has a good selection of cold and hot items. Just what we needed to start our day.
- Oliver (10/5): Lovely place - Nice clean and friendly B&B in a lovely location. Only stayed one night but would happily stay longer. Recommend.
- G (10/5): Hidden gem close to Fort William - Rooms are spacious, clean. Owners are super friendly. We got from them nice recommendations of places to eat in the area. Breakfast is well served. Would love to stay here again in the future.
- Douglas (8/5): Spean Bridge - Accommodation was nice but it’s a bit bizarre having a glass window and Venetian blind on a bedroom door and the light switch outside the bedroom. The B&Q itself is not actually in Spean Bridge but about a 20 min walk to civilisation.
- Julie (10/5): Lovely manor house and innkeepers - James and Lucy were wonderful hosts and their property was comfortable and inviting. The location in Spean Bridge was perfect for exploring western Scotland. We will definitely come back.
- Katie (10/5): A wonderful stay - Tirindrish house proved to be a wonderful choice for a weekend away - the room was clean, spacious and well equipped, with stunning views over to the Nevis range, a luxurious bath and a super comfy bed! Breakfast was delicious, and the log fire in the lounge was perfect to read next to in the evenings - we didn't want to leave!
- Kirk (10/5): Fantastic Place and Hosts! - Our stay was wonderful! James and Lucy are wonderful hosts and provide the perfect space for exploring the surrounding area. James gave us some advice about going to a local falls and it proved to be a highlight of our stay! Would highly recommend staying here.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Wonderful host; wonderful property - This was an unexpected treat. We needed a place to stay somewhere near Glencoe and found this very reasonably-priced B&B on Expedia. The room was huge and spacious and had so much character (in a good way, not a bad way - it was spotless)!. The owners were wonderful and answered many questions, even booking us dinner at a nearby restaurant (wonderful recommendation) and directing us to find local highland cows we wanted to see up close! The breakfast itself was wonderful: continental or made to order, both included in the price. Seriously, this seems too good to be true, but it's really fantastic.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - We stayed here for two nights during our anniversary trip to Scotland. The house had historic charm and everything was very pleasing.
- Graeme (8/5): Peaceful, tranquil BnB - We had a lovely warm welcome on our arrival. The BnB was in a peaceful tranquil setting. . Approximately 15min walk to restaurants and pubs. Breakfast was delicious and consisted of fresh local produce.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Favorite B&B of entire Scotland trip - Absolutely beautiful room and house with interesting history. Extremely roomy, especially for Europe, including large bathroom. Bed was amazingly comfortable. Delicious full breakfast. Friendly, helpful hosts, with spot-on suggestions for meals in the area. Short walk to downtown. Really lovely area - wish we stayed longer.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Authentic Beautiful house - Love the house and its rooms .
Very good breakfast and choices
- Hugo (10/5): Brilliant all round - Lovely house, great facilities and tasty breakfast.Top notch!
- Leekiat (8/5): Great stay at historic hotel - Had a lovely stay at a historic house. Tried haggis for the first time. It was better than I had imagined given its notoriety.
- Robert CK (10/5): Highly recommended - Lovely B&B in Fort William area. We were give a fabulous family room with main bedroom and secondary room for our twins, joined by an ensuite bathroom. A bit tricky to find without GPS, and a 10 minute drive to the town, but thoroughly enjoyable and highly recommended
- Christopher (10/5): Great Stay in Beautiful Area! - We weren't sure what to expect since we hadn't travelled through Scotland before. We feel lucky to have found Tirindrish, as the location was beautiful and hosts super friendly. The room was also perfect for our family of 4. Highly recommend the location!
- Purring (10/5): A delightful place to stay - Lovely room, warm welcome, excellent facilities and delicious breakfast. Short walk into village (take a torch ) and lovely dinner at Station restaurant. Would definitely recommend Tirindrish House to friends. We will be back !
- Steve (10/5): Fantastic B&B - Great please to stay, James & Lucy are terrific hosts. Lovely lounge with real fire. Super breakfast. Cannot recommend highly enough :)
- Heather (10/5): - Originally hesitated in booking here because I was looking for a hotel but due to all the nice comments decided to give it a try. So glad I chose here to stay. Owners were friendly and could recommend where and where not to eat. Room was so cosy and comfy bed, quilt was nice and light in weight but ever so cosy. En-suite was really large. Enjoyed an excellent breakfast (great selection to choose from) also the room had a wide selection of beverages which were replenished daily including bottled water in the fridge and also the yummy shortbread. Would def. stay here again.
