Il proprietario è stato gentilissimo e flessibile: siamo arrivati la sera tardi e ci ha accolto calorosamente, mostrandoci la struttura e facendoci scegliere una camera con una vista bellissima. Le camere sono pulitissime e accoglienti, immerse in un contesto meraviglioso. A colazione, preparata da lui, abbiamo perfino trovato fiori freschi in camera, raccolti nei dintorni. Tutto è stato curato e organizzato con attenzione, e il check-out è stato flessibile. Consigliamo vivamente questa guesthouse e sicuramente torneremo!

We were spoilt for choice and our four kids had plenty to choose from! They were kind enough to make us pressed apples for our 1 year old! Could not recommend a lovely getaway here enough

The bathroom could do with a bit of updating but in a guest house of this age not unexpected.It was very clean and there was plenty of hot water.

Sur les conseils du propriétaire nous avons pu nous rendre à l'endroit où on peut apercevoir des saumons qui remontent le courant et nous avons eu de la chance!!

The breakfast was really good and the owner made few changes to the food as per my daughter's liking. There is a small river in front of the guest house and we had a dip init as well. We will definitely going back there soon. View from the room was fabulous. Nothing to dislike.

• Nicola (5/5): - The owner was lovely and very hospitable. We were staying in Banchory to attend a concert and were unable to get a taxi, so the owner kindly dropped us off. Bit lacking in facilities, no drinks licence so BYOB, and no evening meals. However a lovely breakfast. Beautiful location, bit of a trek into Banchory so if going for a night out I'd suggest pre booking a taxi well in advance. Nice little escape for the night. The lack of taxi services

• Alexander (10/5): Perfect Stay for the Highland Games in Aboyne - It was the best guesthouse we stayed in during our Scotland roundtrip. The room was big and elegantly decorated, in Scottish tartan colours, with a view to the river. The owner was very kind and told us a lot about the clans and the Highland Games in Aboyne we wanted to visit the next day. We actually met Mr. Strachan at the Games again and leant a lot about the Strachan clan where he is the chief. The breakfast was beautifully arranged and delicious. In the evening we could choose what we would like to have but there were also cereals, yoghurt, fruit, toast and marmelade on the table. Everything was perfect.

Il proprietario è stato molto gentile e ci ha fatto fare check-in senza problemi anche se eravamo in ritardo. La stanza da 4 era grande, molto pulita e davvero curata con una bellissima vista. C'è un locale molto curato con un biliardo a disposizione per il gioco e ci siamo divertiti tantissimo, passando tutta la serata. Ambiente molto di relax. La colazione del mattino assolutamente ricca, abbondante e cucinata al momento. Davvero tutto perfetto, lo consigliamo. Nel caso il vostro giro passi da queste parti ne vale assolutamente la pena
• Cornelia (10/5): Schön gelegenes Guesthouse mit ganz besonderer Atmosphäre - Schon der Empfang durch den Eigentümer Rob war so nett, dass wir uns dort direkt wohlfühlen konnten. Unser Zimmer hatte alles, was man braucht, auch ein eigenes Badezimmer, und war gemütlich eingerichtet. Sogar frische Blumen standen im Zimmer, wie auch sonst überall im Haus :-) Das Frühstück war wunderbar, der Service sehr, sehr freundlich und bemüht, und der Blick aus dem Fenster des Frühstücksraums eine Freude. Rob hat uns viele Tipps für Ausflüge gegeben, und so hatten wir eine großartige Zeit dort mit Wanderungen, Fahrradtouren und Schlossbesichtigung. Kamen wir erschöpft zum Guesthouse zurück, konnten wir auf einer Bank am Flussufer wunderbar entspannen. Durch Rob bekamen wir auch eine sehr unterhaltsame Einführung in schottische (Clan-) Geschichte. Zum Glück konnten wir unseren Aufenthalt spontan noch verlängern... Ganz herzlichen Dank für die schöne Zeit an diesem besonderen Ort!!
• Michael (9/5): Great Hospitality in a Great Area - We received a warm welcome. Our room was clean and spacious. Towels and bedding were good quality. Breakfast was tasty and well presented. Feughside is a good location to use as a base for the beautiful area, or as a place to rest for a night.

• Alan (8/5): Peace, quiet and tranquility with beautiful views from the main spacious main lounge. - Very smart accommodation. Our room was really comfortable and we had the best nights sleep of our whole week of travelling at Feughside. Breakfast was nicely presented with plenty of choice (order the evening before) serving local produce. Advice to eat out locally before arriving would have been helpful albeit we did arrive with evening snacks and drinks as we had, had a decent lunch en route.

• Marcus (8/5): Greta location, excellent host, comfy room & fantastic breakfast! - We had a great stay at Feughside, ideally located for our recent trip to Tarland Trails & Knockburn Loch. Rob is a superb host, incredibly accommodating, especially as we arrived a lot later than expected. Lovely ensuite room with a great bed, very restful night & a super breakfast in the morning - all in all a perfect place to stay in a beautiful location. Recommended! There was nothing I didn't like

• Lee (1/5): Terrible - The guy who I think runs the place couldn’t be any nicer I was having dinner at the table in the room and the tv fell off the wall onto my back. I paid for 2 double room so I got changed to another room upstairs and it was a single bed but due to it being late I had and being up early I had no choice but to try get some sleep so unfortunately I am unhappy about this stay as cost a lot for 2 people for 2 rooms. I also had breakfast as was really quiet so I put the radio on but very low to only myself and the other guy could listen to having breakfast to be told to turn it off so I left breakfast also and never ate so can’t rate.

• fabio (10/5): Ottimo hotel da non perdere. - Ottimo hotel di campagna dove passare una breve vacanza o una sosta di viaggio. Camere abbastanza spaziose, letti comodi e parcheggio privato. Con tempo buono è possibile avere la colazione all'aperto in un giardino privato. Colazione abbondante, servita al tavolo dai proprietari. Abbiamo avuto una interessante conversazione col proprietario, fiero capo del Clan Strachan; ci ha spiegato molte cose che non conoscevamo sulle tradizioni scozzesi ed è stato veramente molto bello. La posizione dell'hotel è errata sui navigatori, all'avvicinarsi è meglio chiedere delucidazioni. provenendo da Aberdeen si trova 2 miglia oltre il punto su Google map.

• Lois (7/5): Was looking for a character inn in the Scottish countryside and this was it. - Quiet peaceful country-side location. Great host who gave us great tips for where to eat and sights. Breakfast was our first real experience of a Scottish breakfast. Lovely, served in a bright breakfast room. • Béla (10/5): Great stay in the Aberdeenshire - Great remote place in the Aberdeenshire. Rob (Owner) made sure we had the most pleasant stay. Great breakfast whilst having a beautiful view of the mountain range.
• Gail (10/5): Relaxing - Great breakfast, helpful owner and fun slopy pool table! We had trouble finding it but that was our problem, not theirs. The name is actually painted on the roof so hard to miss!
• Adam (9/5): Great place in Cairngorms - Amazing location set in beautiful Cairngorm valley. Staff was friendly helpful, went out of his way to help us with a few things. Breakfast was amazing!!!! Cooked eggs sausage, bacon, Greek yogurt and fruit, croissants…. And even had gluten free options. Simple room, not bad just simple.

• Petra (9/5): Außergewöhnlich toller Gastgeber! - Rob, der Hausherr, und seine Freundin haben den Aufenthalt so außergewöhnlich gemacht. Mit deren Empfehlungen rund um die klassischen Tourispots, hatten wir schöne fünf Tage. Wir konnten den Kühlschrank nutzen und sogar Billard spielen. Schön ruhige Lage-kurze Strecke zu Banchory! Danke nochmal für alles :)

• Marcin (10/5): Rodzinne wakacje - Przepiękna lokalizacja. Gospodarz bardzo miły, przepięknie opowiedział nam historię swojego Klanu oraz Szkocji. Mini muzeum poświęcone Klanowi Strachan jest czymś niesamowitym. Historia na wyciągnięcie ręki. Rozmowa mogłaby trwać całą noc. Gdyby można było przyznać 11 punktów bez wahania bym dał. Rob dał nam wskazówki na temat atrakcji w okolicy których sami byśmy nie odkryli. Nie można przyznać wyższej oceny :)

• Gio55 (7/5): Atmosfera Shining - Struttura pulita ma non modernissima. Non si discute assolutamente la tranquillità della location, a circa 3 miglia da Strachan, nel vuoto più assoluto. Rientrare alla sera con il buio evocava l’atmosfera di Shining……Sala biliardo e sale comuni deserte avvolte da silenzio e buio….fuori il buio della campagna…..Comunque colazione ottima ed abbondante, prodotti da bagno molto buoni. Camera molto piccola come pure il bagno e un po’ fredda la temperatura degli ambienti, peraltro non regolabile Camera e bagno piccoli e freddino
• Günther (9/5): - We were greeted by the host extremely friendly and competent. The room on the top floor was clean and had 2 single beds. Excellent breakfast with many choices. There is no restaurant in the house, but in the next village (10 min) there are several places to choose from. We were traveling with the motorcycles and can highly recommend this house.

• Lilie Kay (10/5): Amazing - L’accueil de l’établissement est bienveillant, il suffit de sonner et le Monsieur vous explique tout ! La chambre Dunottar est très jolie, la vue magnifique! La salle de bain et les toilettes étaient l’étage en dessous mais très proche de la chambre. Le sol des couloirs est tout doux avec ses carreaux traditionnels Écossais, et il était facile d’aller d’un espace à l’autre sans se perdre. Le petit déjeuner est copieux et délicieux ! Nous avons eu de précieux conseils sur nos visites à suivre ! C’était magique !
