Guest Reviews
- Mark (4/5): Stay Away - I booked for two nights but left after one due to the poor hygiene. Apart from fresh bed linen everything else was dirty. There was even food left in the fridge from previous occupants. They advertise that breakfast is included, but they do not offer breakfast. Their advert is not a true reflection of what they are offerring.
- Lauren (8/5): - Property was excellent, clean and very comfy bed! Wifi was poor connection (but we didn’t come away for that anyway) easy to find, rural location. Lovely few nights stay away to visit family.
- Richard (10/5): - The Barn is a fantastic place to get away from the hustle and bustle of a busy life. It is spacious for a couple or single person as the main room doubles up as a bedroom and lounge as well as a separate kitchen and bathroom. The location is ideal as it's remote enough to be totally detached from the world but close enough to visit all of the local sights, attractions and amenities. Thoroughly recommended as a quiet getaway
- Verified traveler (6/5): - This property was in a lovely, quiet location and we received a warm welcome upon arrival. The accommodation was adequate, but not outstanding. In writing a review, we usually compare with other places where the cost is similar and as such we are only able to rate this B&B as simply OK. The breakfast was OK, but it was strange to be asked upon arrival what we would like without much choice. Fresh fruit would have been welcome. The room was fairly basic with just a double bed - a similarly priced B&B we had booked earlier in the week provided a lovely king-sized bed. Not being the step-in bath type you often encounter in English B&Bs, the large shower was welcome. Unfortunately, the black mould on the tiles and all over the shower rose was unpleasant. The cleanliness of shower and room could have better, considering the tariff. I discovered the protruding nail in the floor the hard way, i.e. barefooted, and advised the owner about this. We were assured this would be attended to, but when we returned for our second night after a day of tourist activities, the nail problem had not been rectified, which confirmed a certain degree of indifference displayed by the owner to his guests. We are not sure if we would recommend this establishment to friends or family.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Requires cleaning to all rooms Cobwebs and dust From all of the lamp shades/windowsills don’t looking too good
- Clair (8/5): Lovely B&B - Lovely pet friendly B&B and lovely owner. Great room, quiet location. Only thing I would say is the window in room was fantastic but would need better full length curtains for summer otherwise you would be up at 5am.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great place to stay, very comfortable, would stay there again
- Daniel (10/5): - We were very pleased with our stay overall.
- Andrew (10/5): - Great place, nice owner, great breakfast. Will be visiting again
Absolut empfehlenswert!
- Richard (2/5): DO NOT BOOK, owner/landlord is seriously rude! - DO NOT BOOK! Nothing wrong with the room, just that the owner has a serious attitude problem and doesn't understand the meaning of Customer Service.
After leaving my iPhone charger there by accident and calling the day after he had agreed to send it to me after he got back from his holiday. After a month passing i called to see where it was to be told that he never agreed to send it.
Feeling confused as to how i was ever going to get it back i asked if he could send it to me and was told that its a hassle for him to get to the post office and he can't guarantee as to when i should expect it. I asked are we talking weeks or months and he just said he couldn't give me a time.
He then asked how i was going to pay for it and how i could repay him for the time it would take him to get to the post office!
It was a truly unbelievable conversation with someone with a serious attitude who has no idea of how to treat a paying customer!
I have since had to spend money on another charger and in over a month i still don't have it back!
