- Verena (10/5): Schönes, zentral gelegenes Haus mit freundlichem Personal im sehenswerten Calitzdorp - Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und bestens beraten von der Managerin. Tolles Personal. Das Hotel ist zentral gelegen und von einem schönen Garten umgeben. Das Zimmer mit Balkon hell und sauber. Die Restaurants und Weinkeller gut zu Fuß erreichbar. Das Frühstück sehr zu empfehlen.

- Claudia (9/5): Die Queen ist ein wunderschöner, großer Baum auf dem Parkplatz - Wenn man abends auf der Veranda sitzt und die verschiedenen Geräusche hört. Das Personal hat uns sehr nett empfangen und betreut. Das Frühstück war sehr gut. Die Zimmer sind etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Ein Restaurant im Hotel wäre schön gewesen. Es gab im ganzen Ort nur eine kleine Snackbar wo man etwas essen konnte.

Room with balcony worth booking for views over vineyards. Very quiet and secure hotel. Great breakfast Not much. Power outage caused by floods that afternoon. Not an issue. Power came on after two hours.
- jeff (10/5): Peaceful Haven - Clean and comfortable room. Good choices for breakfast. Lovely swimming pool. The staff are kind and helpful. Always making sure you have all you need. I did the meerkat trip from here which was about a 25 minute drive at sunrise, it was an experience of a lifetime. We also went on an ostrich safari. We had the best food in the local vineyard, De Krans Wines. Very quiet and safe area. Amazing landscapes and mountains as it’s in the Klein Karoo Wished we had stayed longer.

- Mark (10/5): Top-Tipp für Übernachtungen in Calitzdorp! - Wunderschönes und sehr liebevoll geführtes Guesthouse in einem herrlichen Garten mit Pool gelegen. Am Rand der Stadt gelegen, daher ruhig. Da Calitzdorp aber sehr klein ist, kommt man überall gut zu Fuß hin. Nichts, es war perfekt!

- SIDNEY (9/5): Ladies were friendly and welcoming with and accommodating. - Rooms were very clean and spacious. Bed was comfy and there was a mirror for my wife, many accommodations neglect to put in. Tea, coffee and water as well as a bar fridge was available. Beautiful gardens and settings. We were introduced to the Queen :) huge old tree in the garden. Not a matter of not liking, but the stairs need to be negotiated carefully with luggage. But we were asked at reception if we were okay with the stairs or if we preferred a downstairs unit.

They took care of our heavy bags, booked a restaurant for dinner and customised our breakfast order. Beautiful old house, well-maintained and spacious. Not anything to pinpoint. Nothing to mention here.

The breakfast was 100%.... great choice and nothing was too much trouble. Local knowledge and guidance very reliable... We had everything we needed; found a gem of a place. We will.make sure The Queen is on our itinerary when we return to SA There was nothing to not like.... we had secure parking. Bedrooms were very comfortable with everything we needed, perhqps more on the functional side, beautifully clean and really loved the direct access to the veranda

We felt right at home and really enjoyed our stay. Spacious rooms that are well equipped, excellent breakfast and a very central location. The managers went out of their way to assist in arranging dinner reservations for us in town and arranged a restaurant remained open to accommodate the guests. They were knowledgable, friendly and just great. Can highly recommend this place.

- ElaineAlberts (8/5): Relaxed, easy and comfy stay at The Queen. - Breakfast was a good variety - hot food (mushrooms, tomato, sausages, bacon, eggs) and cold food (cold meats, cheese, gherkins, fruit, yoghurt and cereals) Room was clean and comfortable. Aircon was useful and the whole hotel was very clean and neat. Staff friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay there again if we stay over in Carlitzdorp again. Can easily hear people in the pasage walking and talking. So the sounds in the hotel do echo. I suggest bringing ear plugs with (we always take them when we travel) and it works very well.

- Alberto (8/5): - Hotel localizado em uma região tranquila, com bom estacionamento fechado, muita arborização e passa a sensação de se estar em uma casa e não em um hotel. O apartamento é espaçoso, oferece cama e banhos bons. O café da manhã é saboroso e suficiente. A recepção foi muito amistosa!

We did not make use of the breakfast facilities as we left early in the morning but they did pack us some sandwiches as a take-away. Rooms very well appointed and comfortable. We had a great view over the vineyards.

We loved the personal service from Juanita and enjoyed the property, the tranquil gardens and comfortable rooms. We would highly recommend you visit. We loved everything about our stay.

We had to leave early in the morning the day of check out and they had made us a beautiful breakfast. Communication was great from the hosts also. The hotel itself has clean spacious rooms and a lovely pool.

- Bill (10/5): What a gem - Great location for exploring the area. Incredibly friendly and accommodating staff. Check in and out was a breeze. Well appointed rooms with really nice bathroom. Room was a nice size and very comfortable. Refreshing pool in the heat. As well as the air-conditioned rooms. Definitely going back, for a longer stay. Bed slightly too hard for my liking.
