• Anne (8/5): Enjoyed the stay and all was good - All aspects were good - room, location and breakfast. The shower cubicle was a but small and I out two extra small hooks in the shower cubicle - hope you don’t object. The corners inside of the shower cubicle should be cleaned better with a brush! TV difficult to navigate and I wasn’t able to get a picture! The toilet paper ran out and there was it another roll in the unit.

• Marna (4/5): - The room where clean and the staff friendly The wall had foot prints on it, in the one corner of the room the wood was rotten. Parking very limited and had to get out of the vehicle to unlock the gate when I arrived back in the evening. This is very unsafe.

• Steenkamp (8/5): Ruime nette kamers en vriendelijk personeel. - De ligging in het centrum van Hermanus op zeer korte loopafstand van de restaurants. De kamers zijn ruim en netjes. Dit de ligging in het centrum is het wel rumoerig tot diep in de nacht. Dat moet je wel rekening mee houden.

Entry gate to property should be automated- also no light at night at the gate. Room didn't have dressing table or any table on which to use laptop. Noise from bathroom next door. Cars driving to within a metre of room - noisy and bright headlights at night.

• Marine (6/5): - It is walking distance to all the main spots, which was very convenient. The Staff was friendly and we received room service every day. Very convenient parking behind a locked gate. The gate is open during the day, but locked after hours. The room was a bit small for two people for a week. It is perfect for a one or two night stay. There is no view. The building is tucked away between other buildings with a lot of street noise during the day. Friday and Saturday evening there was a lot of noise due to racing cars and drunk people in the street until the early morning hours. If you intend to party until 2am on weekends then this is the spot for you. We were unlucky to visit during the hottest days ever and the fan was not enough. This should not be a problem during average summer days.

• Lee-J (9/5): Great location within walking distance of restaurants and pubs. Very friendly manager. - Room had everything we needed as it was just a base for our visit. It was good for relaxing too and the bed is very comfortable! The manager was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast vouchers were included but we did not use them as hubby wanted to go to a specific breakfast spot. Location was very central and everything was within 5 minutes walk which meant we did not have to drive anywhere that weekend.

• Lewis (9/5): Upmarket, central accommodation in Hermanus Centre overlooking the beach front - The room was upmarket and comfortable. The staff were superb at check-inn and assisted with luggage from car to room. Everything was explained well in terms of how the appliances worked in the room. The location was superb as one had walking distance to the restaurants and beach board walk. It was bit noisy hearing sounds of people above our ground floor room.

It was plastic, and stained.Hand soap dispenser was diluted with water. Bed literally against the wall, including the foot side. No place to move. Doesn't warrant the price charged. Absolute rip off.

Having a manual gate with a padlock to lock and unlock everytime you leave the premises. All guests complained. Not safe in this day and age.

The kitchenette had the necessities for our stay. The shower was hot and had good water pressure. The location is excellent because it is so central, you can walk. I felt safe, warm and very comfortable. What more could you ask for?

• Anne (6/5): - L'emplacement est parfait , la qualité de la literie très bonne et le lit nickel . La propriétaire très sympathique au téléphone est très réactive et répond très vite à nos demandes . Le petit déjeuner (ou montant équivalent en "avoir" si on veut autre chose à la carte) chez Candy's à 2 min à pied est excellent simplement, il faut savoir que ça n'est pas ouvert avant 08:00 . Globalement le rapport qualité prix est moyen et ça ne conviendra pas en période de fortes chaleurs ou de froid . L'absence de climatisation (je n'irai pas là quand il fait chaud en été ou froid en hiver) Le plafond étant bas et la chambre petite on a vite la sensation d'étouffer et bien sûr vu la configuration, impossible de laisser les fenêtres ouvertes côté chambre (pour des raisons de sécurité) Le ménage du sol laisse à désirer il y avait plein de saletés, et les tapis de sol ne sont pas propres et quand on les soulève on voit que ça n' a pas été nettoyé dessous . Il vaudrait mieux ne pas en mettre . Une odeur désagréable et persistante dans la chambre . Le vieux pommeau de douche fixe qui ne permet pas de laver/rincer toutes les parties du corps (surtout pour les femmes) Quand aux multiprises électriques noires de saleté quand on veut brancher son chargeur de téléphone 😔 Sans parler de tous ces branchements électriques hasardeux au niveau du frigo/télé... Pas un seul porte manteau, ou crochet nulle part (ni côté chambre, ni côté salle-de-bain) pour les vêtements, une penderie qui ne permet pas d'accrocher des vêtements longs ou robes . Aucun rangement ni meuble de salle de bain et pas une seule étagère pour poser ses affaires de toilette. Enfin c'est un peu limite en terme de sécurité : une serrure simple sur une porte non sécurisée, donne directement sur une cour commune où le portail reste ouvert toute la nuit ...Je n'aurait pas été rassurée si j'y avait été seule . Le wifi est inexistant ou fonctionne très mal .

Le petit-déjeuner se prend à l’extérieur et les explications données par le personnel étaient très vagues quant à son emplacement. Mais au final, le café en question était très bien et le petit-déjeuner excellent et copieux.
• Andreas (8/5): - Wir waren nur einen Tag in Hermanus. Die Kommunikation war gut, das Personal sehr freundlich und bemüht. Die Lage ist perfekt, alles ist in wenigen Minuten fußläufig erreichbar. Für das Frühstück gibt es einen Voucher für das fussläufig 1 Minute entfernte Caffee CanD's Kitchen. Die Unterkunft ist für die Durchreise für wenige Tage sicher sehr gut geeignet, für längere Aufenthalte nur bedingt.

• Denira (1/5): Title: Awful Experience – Cockroach Infestation and Dishonest Management - Proximity to the waterfront and town is about the only good thing about this place Awful Experience – Cockroach Infestation and Dishonest Management I would strongly advise anyone considering a stay at TwentyFour17 Inn in Hermanus to think twice. Our experience was shocking from start to finish. We discovered a severe cockroach infestation in the room — not just one or two roaches, but a clear sign of an ongoing problem. We had to find alternative accommodation first thing and pay for 2 days as we checked in first thing the next day at the alternative accommodation . When we raised the issue with the owner, Marieta Spies, she admitted that the infestation was pre-existing, yet she had still chosen to book guests in instead of closing for proper fumigation. She instead blamed the manager of 2 weeks for not sorting the issue out . She also said that maybe our house was very clean and we are just fussy . Her attitude throughout was rude, dismissive, and condescending, showing no sense of accountability or concern for our comfort or health. Even when we queried around the DSTV she made it sound as if we operated the remotes incorrectly and gave no constructive feedback or help. She also argued that we should pay for the sleepless night we had in the room killing roaches and regretting why we booked at this horrible place . To make matters worse, she later falsely reported to Booking.com that we didn’t show up, instead of disclosing the real reason — the unacceptable state of the accommodation. This kind of dishonesty is deeply concerning and completely unprofessional. It’s appalling that a hospitality business would treat guests this way and then try to cover it up. I believe future travelers deserve to know the truth about the conditions and conduct at this establishment. Avoid TwentyFour17 Inn at all costs . There should be verified proof that the infestation has been completely eradicated and that management has changed its approach to customer service and honesty.

Your place is secure, quiet, and welcoming — the gentleman who received us made sure we had everything we needed. We also loved that it’s within walking distance to the beach, which meant we didn’t even need to use the car. The highlight was definitely the breakfast option at the restaurant — absolutely wow! We’ll definitely be back again. Absolutely nothing

Froid en ce mois d'août et aucun chauffage. Petit déjeuner compris, mais pris dans un des bistrots sur la côte (5-10 minutes de marche, accompagné par le réceptionniste). • Riaan (6/5): Good option if all you need is a place to sleep. - The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. The location is a bonus with lots of restaurants in walking distance. The breakfast was really good and the caffe which it was served at was lovely, with very friendly staff. The room we stayed in was VERY small. It is not at all clear that it is that tiny from the photo's. An indication of this up front would have managed our expectation better as the majority of the photo's show big rooms with lots of natural light. The linen can do with an upgrade as the towels were quite tatty and we had a pillow case which seemed to either have had a stain or burn mark from an iron.

• Tsetse (4/5): It was just okay. - It’s close to almost everything. Walls were dirty, it was small and did not have a kitchen. And it’s not a nice place to book for a vacation. It’s not refreshing. It’s just a place to hide your head.

Our car was parked safely inside the gates the whole time as were were able to walk easily to everything around us. The breakfast vouchers were amazing & we loved that we got to try 2 different restaurants for the 2 mornings we spent there - delicious food, great coffee & great service. It was a perfect spot for a little weekend getaway. The noise from the street was pretty loud. Especially on the Saturday night as I’m assuming some people were making their way home & were very very loud outside. I know it isn’t the Inn’s fault & that’s the price you pay for being in the center of the town.
• Hlumelo (10/5): We’ve found our go to place for Hermanus weekends. - The location is great! Especially if you want to explore the town, most places are a walk away meaning you can leave your car at the property so that you don’t have to try and find parking in town. None.
