• Lindy (10/5): Book here. You won’t be sorry. Perfect if you’re coming in on Amtrak. - My sister and I stayed at Mason Beach Inn. It was fabulous! The location was perfect. We walked from the train station without any trouble. We walked to the ocean and the piers in no time. The next day, we walked all over Santa Barbara. We walked 10 miles in all. The property was extremely clean and decorated beautifully. It was a fabulous boutique inn. The only regret is that we weren’t able to stay longer. We liked everything.
• Anand (10/5): Graduation tour - Excellent location, great ambience, welcoming staff, nice pool, a small but sumptuous table of cookies and coffee. Rooms were very cozy. Sauna was great. Parking was extra, however free parking was available just outside the street. They don’t have any breakfast facility but cookies, fruits , coffee are available 24 hrs.

• Colin (3/5): - Beautiful hotel with clean rooms. Issue with another occupant blaring music in the very early hours of the morning. Called down to the desk twice. Santa Barbara PD had been called earlier in the day to deal with this problem occupant. Not sure where the breakdown of communication occurred between the day shift and night shift. Needless to say my family and I did not get much sleep with a long travel day ahead of us the next day. Very unhappy with how this situation was handled.
• Rolf (8/5): Gut, aber mit Enttäuschung wegen Frühstück - Die Lage und das Schwimbad Laut Booking Zimmer mit Frühstück, aber es gab kein Frühstück. Frühstückraum war auch keiner vorhanden. Lediglich Kaffee, Tee und Wasser sowie Cookies gab es an der Rezeption zum Verzehr im Stehen. Auf Nachfrage wurde uns bestätigt, dass das Hotel kein Frühstück anbietet. Parkplatz kostet 18 EUR/Tag, Fahrräder 10 EUR.

The bathroom desperately needed a deep clean, especially the shower. We requested a new comforter as we spilled a water bottle, and they didn't have any. Instead, we were given a small blanket that didn't fit the bed.

Really appreciated the snack bar with cookies and coffee, that makes a difference for sure. Rooms were spacious and comfortable, very clean as well. Beds and pillows very comfortable as well. The pool and jacuzzi were small, but it wouldn’t be a dealbreaker to be honest. I even ordered from Amazon and they were kind enough to put in in my room. The luggage carts could do some maintenance, since they’re squeaky and shaky.

• Cynthia (9/5): I enjoyed the Mason Beach Inn and will definitely stay there again. - Adrian was very welcoming upon arrival. I was very pleased with the cleanliness and size of the guest rooms. There was very strong water pressure in the shower too. The Mason Beach Inn is conveniently located only a block away from the beach and walking distance to the Funk Zone and State Street. There was a discrepancy in the cost for parking; the online check-in quoted both $18/night and $14/night.

• Alisha (7/5): Pretty and well located but extra charges can add up. - The fact that this property had a pool and jacuzzi was very nice, along with the more newly updated rooms. Located close to the beach and walkable to State Street and Funk Zone. Unfortunately our trip did not start out ideallly. We’d called ahead and arrived in the lobby to ask about early check in. Both times we were told that cleaning staff were unavailable/on break and for us to check back in an hour. (Not a “we’ll call you when it’s ready” or “we can switch you to this room that is ready” but “just come back and check again”.) Mind you, this was a Sunday evening, off season and it was clear there was vacancy. The evening and next morning staff were much nicer and made up for the lack of service in the afternoon/check in experience. While overall nicely done hotel with the remodel, it felt like everything was an upcharge. Parking- fee, bikes- fee to rent, want to join an hour early or leave one hour later- that’ll cost you. Opt for wine instead of complimentary beer- that’s a charge. Nice to have so many options but having to request a (free) mini fridge and microwave sort of seem like standards now, not amenities.

• Emilia (9/5): Lovely modern inn close to the beach - Room was nice and cozy, modern and very clean. Loved the wallpaper and accents. Great location, close to the marina and beach. Complimentary coffee, tea, oatmeal and cookies available at the reception 24/7. They should just include parking fees in the reservation, I hate it when people do it separately. Also would love some fridge space for my stuff, not the mini bar!

• Heidi (7/5): Great location and staff but hot room - The pool was great and staff was really helpful. Loved having coffee and cookies in the lobby. The location is perfect! The room was boiling hot even with the AC on. The AC would cycle on and off and during the 20 mins it was off, the room would get boiling hot. None of us slept.
