It was turned off n then lot long after went back on albeit lower it’s not necessary to have music on early when no guests in til 8am earliest and it’s not the restaurant music it was the kitchen staff stereo so totally unacceptable and u fair. We’ve stayed here many times and have bookings later in the year. Always our go to when. Visiting Norwich. Hoping noise was a one off and now aware can be heard in bedrooms they will be more considerate

- Rachel (9/5): Taking into account all the above I found the rooms to be comfortable, aesthetically pleasing - Breakfast is provided at additional cost for people that book with booking.com. I think for the cost of the room this should be included as other hotels do provide this. The location was very beautiful and peaceful with the pub positioned in a quiet location. The rooms were very tidy and clean with beautiful interior. I think a small fridge should be in the room for water and milk especially for families as the bottled water provided was very warm. Could not get onto free internet despite following the instructions provided, the password included within the instructions booklet did not work. The Staff were very warming, pleasant and helpful. If you require a taxi due to the location staff would help you with this. It is a very friendly and relaxing environment. I stayed there for work purposes only meaning my stay was short but very pleasant indeed will stay again. i arrived on Monday evening. Just be aware there is no food or kitchen open on Mondays only meaning you would either have to eat out before getting to the hotel or ensure you have brought plenty of snacks with you. Again, this was not a problem for me as a single traveler. However, for families especially with children this could be an issue. The rooms were very hot despite there being a fan in the room it did not provide the air to circulate around the room sufficiently.
- Station (8/5): Great accommodation let down by lack of storage and confusing information about breakfast - Breakfast was very good, but expensive. I had the granola with berry compote which was beautiful. The coffee maker was amazing, and the best thing in the room. Storage in single bedroom was non existent: two clothes hangers and drawers big enough for socks but little else. The bathroom mirror had lights around it but not on the mirror where they were needed. I have numerous emails from Booking.com saying breakfast was included; the hotel also emailed to say it wasn't but I also had an email from them saying it was. The lady who checked me in said she was aware of the problem and was adamant it was NOT included.

Our bedroom was very very close to the road which becomes a commuter cut through in the mornings. This did lead to some unwelcome traffic noise from around 530am.

I had large single room which was extremely cramped.....would have preferred a smaller bed and more room to move about and hang clothes. Bathroom spotless but slight level change that I tripped over a few times. Also would have preferred a normal kettle with larger cup instead of tiny little cup with fancy coffee machine. Weather was very hot and room was provided with a fan.. I would definitely stay again but next time in bigger room.

The accommodation was a superb; spacious, comfy, beautiful apartment with space for our 4 bikes, which we travelled on. The breakfast was 10 out of 10 and a delight. The staff member I met was very polite and efficient. The area was beautiful and near many amenities. The bathroom was spotless clean and the bath was luxurious. I liked all the steps in the room as found it kooky but could see how this could be an issue for others. The bed was the best it was huge and so comfortable, the quilt and pillows such good quality wanted to bring bed home with us. Overall our stay was a relaxing retreat from our very stressful lives. Firstly the room was not what I would call a suite and that’s what I was expecting, it was more a bedroom with a large entranceway. There were beams everywhere which gave lovely character but not dust free or spider web free and while we stayed there was a big spider which my husband took care of. The coffee machine was difficult to use and acted as the boiling water source for tea and just did not work for us. Two of the towels provided had some orange gunk on them luckily we had our own. The room gets very hot and could do with a fan and room did not have a fridge which would have been brilliant to have. Please don’t get us wrong though we had a lovely stay it was just little things really.

- Angela (9/5): The location is lovely in a quiet picturesque village , a lovely country pub and very comfortable - I loved the location and the age of the building, very comfortable and the staff were friendly and very helpful during my stay. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean and tidy. Travelling as a lone female, I felt safe here and loved every minute of my stay. The food was delicious and was worth every penny. I will definitely stay here again. I had snotty poached eggs for breakfast, I advised the staff at the time and was offered another but I had to get off to work so I declined otherwise the food was delicious. The room although it was for one person, was very small and there was no where to store my luggage and clothes. There was a coat rack attached to the wall with 4 hooks and two coat hangers. There is a bed side table which, if it had drawers would give me room to put some of my clothes away rather than having to keep them in my suitcase squeezed down the side of the bed. Having some shelving to put my clothes away or some small drawers at either side of the bed would have been useful, the TV in the room was very small a larger TV would have been better with my dwindling eye sight.
- A (10/5): Beautiful room! - A great one night stay! We didn't venture outside of the hotel much but it was really nice having our own external front door. The room was amazing with a lovely bathroom. One thing to note... No radiator in the bathroom, just a heated towel rail. So the bathroom was cold. But plenty of radiators in the rest of the room. We were also lacking a kettle in the room and found the coffee machine a bit of a faff to use. Oh... And the smallest TV in the world. Made watching 1% Club almost impossible 😂 but still a lovely comfortable room.

Service was friendly and efficient, Food was well presented and very well prepared. Menu was varied with good options. We enjoyed both our evening meal and breakfast. The stairway to our upstairs room could use a handrail.

Plenty of parking available on site. On arrival I went to check in, inside the main pub/restaurant area. What an absolutely beautiful place, very warm at home feel. I was greeted by a lovely lady at check in who was so kind, caring and helpful. She checked me in, explained everything to me, showed me to my room and explained everything inside. Before booking and after booking i was made aware that the single bedroom was small, they were very up front and honest regarding this. When I got there, the room was a perfect size just for one person. The bathroom was a nice size too. The room was beautiful, clean and tidy. There was a welcome book, a posh coffee machine with a selection of pods and complementary water. The bathroom was well equipped with fluffy white towels that smelt lovely! Hand soap and moisturiser, body wash/shampoo, and small jars beneath the basin containing cotton buds and cotton wool. The bed was lovely and comfortable and I slept really well! Both nights I returned late, due to work so I never ate inside the restaurant (I was very kindly offered a table booking). I did meet a friend for a drink on the first night and the staff were really polite and helpful and it was a really lovely place to sit and have a drink on the sofas. We were made to feel very welcome. Although I didn’t eat, the food being brought out to other customers looked amazing, it was so busy so it’s definitely a popular place. Overall, a 5 star experience. I would really recommend this as a place to stay. Thank you! There honestly wasn’t a single thing I didn’t like! It was perfect. Just one thing as a suggestion, a light above or next to the bathroom mirror would be beneficial for guests like myself. Just for make up purposes. If there was one and I missed it, I apologise!

- Williams (9/5): A luxurious base from which to explore Norfolk. - We loved the original old building on the green in Bawburgh overlooking the river Yare. The staff were welcoming and friendly and could not do enough to help us. The food was excellent throughout our four night stay. The lighting in the bedroom was too dim. Brighter lights by the bed would have been useful for reading.

- Kevin (7/5): Beautiful Wonderful Hotel, atentive Staff, beautiful and well presented food but let down by inedible steak and cold bre - Beautiful property set in an idyllic part of Norfolk and yet so close to the Norwich itself, staff were wonderful and attentive and do enough to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Food was wonderfully presented and generally of a very high standard however I had to complain about about the Rib Eyed steak which was grisly and so tough that even the steak k life wouldn’t cut it, when I complained I was told that they had already had several complaints about the steak this weekend! Would it have not been better to take this cut off the menu knowing that complaints had already been made. Breakfast again was well presented, however after waiting 50 minutes for it to appear we were served a completely cold eggs Benedict and Luke warm full English. The staff were wonderful and took the costs of these elements of food off our final Bill but with a little thought and checking our food would have been wonderful.

- Teresa (7/5): Lovely weekend visit would come back to Norfolk again. - The location was great, near a choice of Park and Ride car parks to get easy access into Norwich. There is plenty of parking onsite, either in the pub's general car park or closer to the studio apartment. The staff were very pleasant at check-in and check-out. The apartment was extremely spacious, in a separate building from the pub. We stayed in the upstairs 2 bedroom apartment with lounge, kitchen and one bathroom. There was plenty of lovely hot water for showers. The village itself was very pretty. Surprised by how many cars went through the village in the evening through to the early hours of the morning on Harts Lane. We thought it would be a lot quieter than it was. It was okay for a one-night stay, but I personally found the sound of car noise annoying and surprising. The apartment building was directly next to the road, with bedroom windows overlooking it. Shame the village is used as a short cut by other drivers in the area.
