- Andrew (10/5): - Fantastic property with a beautiful lake and very peaceful
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Really lovely log cabin, and a very relaxing stay. Beautiful lakeside location and the accommodation was pleasant.
Could have done with more detailed check-in and check-out instructions. We had to call the owner to help us find it, but he did come out and direct us straight away.
Would be perfect with some minor improvements to facilities - struggled to connect to the wifi, dishwasher but no tablets, no soap in the bathroom. But these are all small things and it's a lovely place overall.
- Clare (10/5): Amazing weekend break - Absolutely amazing break the cabin was perfect, caught a few fish and Steve was brilliant
- Emma (10/5): - Lovely place
- richard (10/5): comfortable - Great find and very comfortable shop and pub a short walk away
- Brian (10/5): - Very very nice place, highly recommended
- Julie (4/5): Disappointed - Setting was lovely but needs a deep clean throughout
- Jonathan (10/5): Excellent change of pace - The cabin is lovely for a little break from the normal routine. Clean, comfortable and warm (in January) with a brilliant setting on a fishing lake. Will definitely be back
- David (10/5): go - The cabin was and location was perfect for me out the way and quite. Woke up in the morning opened the door and the view was a lake full of ducks perfect
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Lovely log cabin in lovely surroundings. Great for peace and quiet. Pleasant owner. In summary-exactly what we were looking for.
- adrian (10/5): Great sunsets - Lovely setting overlooking the fishing lake, from the hot tub and the sun going down. Cabin was clean and warm. If I could change one thing it would be replace the small bath with a shower cubicle but that is just my preference. I would definitely stay again
- Sarah (10/5): - Overall was good, log cabin was bit dusty n full of cobwebs!!
- Beatrice (10/5): - Had a great time so peacefully and would definitely book again
- Tara (10/5): Lovely lodge and amazing views - Had a fantastic weekend with friends. The cabin is great and had everything you need, its cosy and was nice and warm on the cold nights. The owners were very helpful and on hand if you needed them. The view was amazing, it was so peaceful. It would be lovely to go back in the summer and use the hot tub. We went to relax and go on walks and that's exactly what we did. It's a lovely part of the country and we wouldn't hesitate going back. Highly recommend
- Paul (8/5): Recommended - A lovely cosy hideaway in the middle of nowhere.
Well appointed and comfortable accommodation overlooking a large pond.
A big decked area to enjoy it also (although the frost kept us indoors)
Check in was confusing due to limited signage and no one being about (a working farm) - The door was open for anyone going soon.
The proprietor caught up with us later on and was very friendly and helpful.
Only other slight negative was the shower - electric as it’s off grid.
But all in all a great spot for the Wolds walking or other activities.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Everything you need, clean and quiet. Will definitely be staying again.
- Josie (10/5): Hope to visit again in the future! - We thoroughly enjoyed our escape to the cabin for a couple of days. It was perfectly cosy in the snow and was suited to our needs with our little one. A travel cot was kindly provided and Steve popped by to show us how to use the heating. We hope to visit again one day.
- B G R (10/5): Lovely break - Perfect setting , all the facilities were great and really comfortable - home from home .
