Guest Reviews
- William (6/5): Lovely hotel , spoiled by bad experience in dining room . Waited one hr on ordering breakfast, to be told by staff when - Lovely hotel , good sized clean rooms. Could be doing with maintenance on conservatory . The staff seemed to lack training in customer service
- Derek (10/5): We had a lovely stay and will definetly return. - The staff are pleasant and helpful. The rooms are clean comfortable and well appointed. The food is very good and the breakfast is tasty and plentiful. We would say that it would be really be great if after dinner we could relax in the bar. Unfortunately the seating is limited there and we find it difficult to find seats.
There is comfortable seating in the foyer and we would be happy to sit there but it’s quite chilly. There is a wood burning stove but never appears to be lit. Apart from that it’s a lovely hotel I. The middle of beautiful Perthshire.
- Angela (10/5): - Lovely quiet peaceful sleeps.
Really comfortable beds
Staff are very helpful and friendly 🙂 It's a good uphill walk from the town
- Aaron (9/5): Remembrance day at 100 - Friendly staff and a very nice room. Our room had a bath that isn't suitable for my wife. We could have asked to move but we liked the room.
- Peter Craig (10/5): -
- Andrea (10/5): Beautiful luxury hotel tucked into a quiet village - This is a beautiful hotel tucked away in a quiet little town. It is very luxurious, from the complementary bathrobe to the decorative throw pillows. Our window and our delicious breakfast had a view of a lovely garden. We have a friend who lives nearby and gave us a ride to the hotel. It would be challenging to get there without a car as there is not train station in the town nor do I think public transportation would take you there.
- Bram (10/5): - Very friendly staff and the possibility to use the pool at Crieff Hydro is a big plus!
- Alison (9/5): - Lovely small hotel, friendly helpful staff, comfortable, clean room, great breakfast. There is a lovely outside sitting area, and you can use the facilities at the Hydro. Nothing!
- Lesley (9/5): Very positive experience. Would recommend and return if we were in the area - Friendly greeting from reception staff at time of arrival. Helpful information if local amenities provided. Clean comfortable room. Good breakfast Tea and coffee at breakfast could be a little fresher. Both seemed a little “stewed”.
- Alison (9/5): Lovely hotel and fantastic food. -
- James (9/5): I felt really comfortable and at home. I would definitely return. - Nice room, good food and really pleasant staff. The parking was secluded and safe. I can’t think of anything!
- Russell (10/5): - . .
- YAZ THORNBURY (4/5): Murraypark Nightmare - Nothing The outside definitely lets the hotel down, broken bins culletering the carpark, dirty ashtrays and seating needed replacing.
The inside is very old and not clean.
Staff were inexperienced and Just one lady running the Reception and the bar.
- Tommy (8/5): -
- Geoffrey (10/5): - Great location for touring the area
- Malcolm (10/5): -
- Roger (9/5): - An excellent hotel in a quiet location. Our room was large and the bed was king size. A very enjoyable one night stay
- john (10/5): I really have to thank All staff to make us very welcome and keen to help - Breakfast was very good, big choice . Very hot. Staff very attentive keen to offer more coffee/tea toast etc. Also didn’t feel rushed to finish. A very good experience all round.
- Marian (8/5): Fabulous food and welcoming staff who couldn’t do enough for us. - Lovely staff, great location, fabulous food, plenty of parking, well equipped room and comfortable communal seating areas. Very welcoming to dogs. Unfortunately the room was too warm. We turned off the towel rail in the bathroom, opened the windows, but the radiator in the room wouldn’t turn off. So we were far too warm and didn’t sleep well. Rest of the stay was perfect.
- Danielle (9/5): Highly recommend for location & facilities - Hotel right on the loch, plenty of parking. Lovely room, comfy bed, good shower, spotless. Short, easy walk into Fort William. Nice breakfast. Everything we needed Nothing
- Dennis (10/5): Great Value - Comfortable, friendly, good food and shared leisure facilities with nearby Hydro
- Anne (8/5): Great small hotel with wonderful food . - A very personal hotel, with great food and service . Only a 5 minute walk to the Hydro where you can enjoy lots of activities . We would highly recommend it Only one negative - the main areas were sometimes a little chilly .

- traveller82106 (10/5): Solo Stay - Another incredible stay!! My family and I have stayed at the Murray park and The Hydro since I was very young and the high standard of friendly service and cleanliness has never changed ! I stayed at the Murraypark on my own this time and had a lovely experience. The staff are ever so friendly and work ever so hard. The room was spotless and had great facilities such as a coffee machine a retro style fridge and a modern fan. It was a lovely touch having a
Tunnocks teacake in the fridge. The bed was so comfy and the breakfast was cooked to perfection! I have loved coming back here growing up and can’t wait for more stays in the future
- karen11222026 (10/5): Weekend Away - Great location, made to feel welcome as soon as you went in the door. Lots of choice at breakfast with quality products. Parking available within Hotel grounds.
- llainy (8/5): delightful stay - Stayed at Murraypark, the staff very friendly and helpful. The food in restaurant was really good and tasty also so were the breakfasts. Our bed was very comfy. Bathroom was spotless. The only thing is, its a bath with a shower over it. l have mobility problems so was a bit of an issue for me, but I did not mention this on booking which I didn't think I would need to do. All in all, the food, staff room were very good. I'll stay there again
- Denise (8/5): Enjoyed our weekend stay, no complaints - Perfect hotel when travelling with pets; friendly helpful staff. Nice breakfast & good restaurant food. Accommodation in need of a little TLC, looks a little tired but clean & comfortable.
- David (8/5): Pleasant - Very clean and comfortable! There seemed to a a kind of generator going on and off all night which was a bit annoying!!
Shower not very powerful!
- KnNie (10/5): As good as 2010 - Perfect stay, nice room nothing to complain about. It was as good as we remembered from 2010. Unfortunately just one night.
- Susan (8/5): - The location, the comfy, well-equipped room, and the very friendly, helpful service. Access to the Crieff Hydro facilities. The coffee at breakfast.
- jean (10/5): -
- atempl306467 (8/5): Weekend friends - Amazing stay excellent staff the quality of the food outstanding plenty parking . Spa was amazing Victorian baths so relaxing total chill out zone . Staff in both hotels excellent
- matt (10/5): - Amazing breakfast, friendly and knowledgeable staff, shuttle bus laid on to get us up to a function at the hydro.
A really set up hotel, would happily stay again
- Quest63863199298 (10/5): Perfect place to relax - Great place to relax with excellent food. We have been coming for 30 years and always feel refreshed when we leave.
- sstrat500733 (10/5): Excellent - Had a great time and that's why we keep going back. We were made welcome with our two dogs and everything was lively, room, food and spa great.
- Sandra (8/5): - Welcoming. Dog friendly. Lovely food.
- dwalke859256 (10/5): Excellent Stay at Murraypark Hotel - On our return to the Murraypark our friends who had not stayed there before were delighted with everything on offer as we hoped they would.
- Gavin Marti (10/5): - Staff very polite & helpful, food excellent (we had lunch and breakfast), room & bathroom clean warm & spacious, bed large & comfortable We had no complaints
- Derek (10/5): We introduced our friends to the Murraypark for the first time having stayed there a couple of times before ourselves an - The rooms were very clean. Nothing
- Tararhu (10/5): Shhh it's better than the hydro.... - We stayed here in the October half term. The hydro was full, but this turned to our advantage as I cannot fault this hotel.
You get almost every perk of staying at Creiff Hydro without the chaos! This is a small country hotel with an open fire a.n big heart. We had a lovely little room with bunk beds for the kids. It was modern and Cosy.
The hotel restaurant is excellent. We didn't have a bad meal and the service was great. The hotel manageress was highly capable, a hospitality pro. We couldn't have felt more welcome.
We will be back and I'd probably pick this over the hydro.
- Mrstickytoffee (6/5): Lovely surroundings let down by the kitchen - The restaurant at Murray Park is in a lovely setting and the surroundings are genuinely impressive. Unfortunately, the food did not live up to expectations.
I chose the Stornoway black pudding bon bons as I’m a big fan of Charles Macleod’s Stornoway black pudding, but these certainly did not taste like authentic Stornoway black pudding. They lacked flavour and were very dry. I suspect a standard black pudding — perhaps from Yorkes of Dundee — was used instead.
For the main course, I had the roast sirloin of beef. The accompaniments were excellent and the Yorkshire pudding was tremendous. However, the roast itself, despite being cooked medium-rare, was extremely tough and almost impossible to chew. It felt like a cheaper cut of sirloin had been used, which was very disappointing given that it should have been the star of the plate.
To top it all off, the baked vanilla cheesecake was probably the worst I have ever had — dry, lacking flavour, and served with a stale biscuit base.
All in all, it was a disappointing experience. A beautiful setting let down by food that simply didn’t match the surroundings.
- jeffreyblair (8/5): Overnight Stay at Murraypark Hotel - An excellent overnight stay at the Murraypark Hotel. From check in to departure the staff were excellent. The quality of the food was first class and the room was very comfortable.
- Kimikir (10/5): Friendly and welcoming Murraypark! - We have visited this hotel many times and always enjoy it. Its main strengths are it’s wonderful staff and the food! We had a lovely room, spotlessly clean(thanks Abbie and Anna) and a really comfortable bed.
The Murraypark is so cosy and welcoming you start to relax right away. Beautiful surroundings and use of Crieff Hydro Hotel’s facilities.
Many thanks to Alicja, Zaneta and Michael who are always so friendly to all the guests and made our stay another memorable one.
Highly recommend the fish in beer batter and the chocolate orange tart!
Looking forward to our next stay.
- Elizabeth (10/5): Best little hotel in Scotland! - Ambiance, staff and food
- jamaicafilmsr (10/5): Wonderful Murray Park - Everything from start to finish was amazing and I wish I was still there! great booking, great reception, clean room, fantastic bar and restaurant.
- nieldgail (6/5): Poor service - Breakfast service was very poor. There is buffet service for continental breakfast but coffee/tea and cooked breakfast is to order. After being seated it was 20 minutes before we were acknowledged and our order taken, 30 minutes before we were served coffee and 55 minutes before receiving cooked breakfast.
- liz (5/5): Warm room & comfy beds - Warm room Breakfast was a BIG disappointment, Why serve cumberland sausage & not scottish sausage, Bacon far to overdone almost burnt.
Resataurant very cold when eating breakfast and dinner
Dinner also very expensive.
- lesleyfs04 (10/5): An excellent stay, as usual. - We’ve stayed at MurrayPark several times over the years. Always a warm welcome, beautiful public areas and rooms, and a superbly comfortable bed. Wonderful food and a great atmosphere. We ate in the bar on our first night, in front of the fire. It was so cosy. Loved it.
- Arleen (8/5): - Spacious room, well presented, friendly staff.
- Correy (10/5): - Clean, comfy bed and good location Looks a bit dated could do with a refurb
- Jamie (5/5): Great staff and food, but overpriced room. - Staff where very polite and accommodating Room was very basic and a little dusty. Also we were told that we had a lounging area connected to our room which was for our exclusive use, however, it was used as a cut through by other hotel users. I got the impression that we were only told this to try and justify the cost of the poor room, which I believe was overpriced.
- georgina (10/5): lovely stay in every way -
- Rebecca (10/5): Comfortable, relaxed, good food and great facilities. - The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable, including the bed.
The fact you can use the facilities at the Crieff Hydro is a huge bonus.
Lovely food, relaxed atmosphere, and a nice walks around the corner. I didn't particularly like the soap - that is the only thing I can think of!
- Louise (10/5): -
- Janice (7/5): Comfortable stay - clean and just what we needed - good value for money - Excellent location for us as we had family staying in Crieff Hydro. Didn't have breakfast so can't comment. Room was lovely but found it cold and seemed to take a long time to heat up. Bathroom clean and functional - lovely toiletries As above room was cold on arrival and took some time to heat up. Also the corridor linking our bedroom to main hotel was extremely cold.
- Thomas (8/5): -
- Tyra (10/5): We stayed at the Murraypark overnight, we loved having access to creiff hydro - The staff at Murraypark are so friendly and couldn’t do enough for us! The quietness of the hotel was a nice contrast to sister hotel Crieff Hydro, being able to use the facilities there and walk back. Would recommend the Victorian spa and all of the restaurants!
- Richard (10/5): Visiting family - good choice of accommodation - Location, character, staff Nothing
- jsingle44 (10/5): Mrs Singlehurst loving it in Crieff at The MurrayPark Hotel! - I would like to leave a review for a lovely waitress who is looking after us, especially at breakfast time, with her warm and competent nature - her name is Grace and she is amazing.
Also, the food here is out of this world!
- Adventure713138 (10/5): Staff made the difference at Murraypark Hotel - This was a terrific place to stay, in our journey from Edinburgh to Glencoe. The staff were fabulous. They went well beyond expectations in helping us to recover an item I left behind. The accommodation was nice and breakfast was delicious, catering to varying dietary needs. Enjoyed the nearby Victorian Baths at their sister hotel, the Crieff Hydro. Lovely walks to be had through enchanting streets from Murraypark Hotel.
- Woods (8/5): -

- carol (8/5): Very welcoming and a very comfortable room. - The room and bathroom were lovely. Comfy bed. It was very warm.. although thankfully I was able to open the window, but it was unexpectedly warm outside for a few days.
The burger I had for evening meal wasn't great for the price, but the chips were awesome
- graeme (9/5): We enjoyed our stay in this hotel as the staff, room, food and atmosphere were good. - Nice, clean and comfortable hotel - good value. Pleasant staff. All pretty good really.

- Pauline (8/5): - Good size rooms and ample parking. You can have dinner and breakfast there. Also has a nice, cosy bar.
- W333JUL (10/5): Fantastic dog friendly hotel - This hotel was a great find, it’s very quiet very close to Crieff hydro sister hotel where you can enjoy the facilities if you don’t have a dog with you , Murray park is a 10 min walk to town centre , it’s very dog friendly with good food served , there’s a large restaurant & also a cozy bar lounge where you can dine with your dog , we stayed in a very spacious feature double room which was lovely & very clean nice views , no complaints whatsoever & will definitely be returning soon, staff are excellent & we’re very friendly & welcoming, couldn’t fault a thing with this hotel so a great little find for us 👌
- rhonabubble (9/5): Great, friendly hotel. - Friendliness of staff and food.
- Trevor (8/5): Very comfortable stay in good location. - Well converted traditional building. Comfortable and spacious room and en suite bathroom. Relaxing bar area and well presented dining room and good food The postcode took us to a residential cul de sac so a bit of signage in that area would help. The stairs to the bedrooms were steep and twisty (old building)
- Abigail Lucy (10/5): -
- Janet (10/5): A great place to stay - Friendly and welcoming staff. It was very clean. Lovely comfy beds plus a fridge in the room. A cosy bar with a good selection of drinks.

- Simon (8/5): - Spotless, friendly hotel. We ate the first night in the hotel and was really tasty. Breakfast is part self service, the cooked part is from the menu which arrived lovely and hot. Perfect base for us exploring. N/a
- Deborah (10/5): -
- Jan (9/5): Welcome refuge from the storm - After escaping Mull and a long drive ahead of storm Amy it was a joy to recieve a warm and informative welcome from a lovely guy on reception. He sorted a table for us to eat a half later in the restaurant. The room was warm and comfortable with a functioning towel rail and bathrobes. The staff in the restaurant are all friendly , the evening meal was good as was the cooked to order breakfast. Small thing- could do with more lighting where cereal and fruit are at breakfast
- Neil (6/5): - Very accommodating and pleasant staff. Tasty food. Caught in the storm, last minute booking a well looked after. High price for a very average room. Under normal circumstances this room and service formality was no where near the £200 price tag.
- kgammie (8/5): Great stay. - Enjoyed our stay lovely lunch and breakfast. Would definitely stay again. Welcoming, clean and nice and quiet.
- Steven (8/5): -
- Adri (9/5): - Clean, newly decorated room with everything you need. Friendly, hardworking staff. Intimate bar area for pre - or after dinner drinks.
