Unfortunatly the air conditionning was not working so well. And on saturday night there is a casino bar that goes on until ,around six o clock in the morning.

- Alain (2/5): - Une expérience désastreuse du début à la fin. L’accueil par Yeniffer était sympathique, mais c’est le seul point positif de cet hôtel. Propreté inexistante : ménage visiblement pas fait, présence d’ongles et de restes de nourriture sur la moquette, aération bouchée par la poussière, robinetterie sale et rouillée, douche sans rideau et pression d’eau quasi nulle. Le coffre-fort ne fonctionnait pas. La moquette était pleine de taches et la baie vitrée dans un état lamentable. Niveau sécurité, le gardien passait la nuit allongé sur le sofa de la réception à dormir, porte grande ouverte. L’hôtel est juste à côté de la discothèque du casino, musique à fond toute la nuit, impossible de dormir. Le petit déjeuner était hors de question, la cuisine était dans un état de saleté indescriptible, ce qui en disait long sur l’hygiène générale de l’établissement. J’ai signalé tous ces problèmes, mais rien n’a été fait. Et pour couronner le tout, une souris dans la chambre le dernier matin. Un hôtel à fuir absolument.

- Darcy (4/5): - The tv was not working, we advised the front desk and they never came to fix it. Secondly, there was cockroaches in the room/bathroom. My husband went downstairs to get a product to kill them, and they didn’t have any. The concierge is as left alone and obviously he wasn’t able to change rooms. We almost didn’t sleep all night and couldn’t wait to leave the next morning, we had to leave the lights on “just in case”.

My only suggestion is to upgrade the main entrance's door, as it can be an inconvenient to keep calling with our cellphones every single time we need to enter or exit the facility. Just like the elevator, we should be able to use our room's key to come in.or step out.

There is a casino and a bar at the hotel but is not only for peolpe that are staying in the hotel, everyone from the neighborhood have access to be there too. Its very unsafe. People were so drunk and very rude, I had to get out of there the same day I checked in, I was afraid for my own safety. I do not recommend this place at all.

No shower curtain in the "shower" - Water has a strong smell. I booked for 2 nights, I had to check out after the first night, of course losing my money for 1 night. The place is away from the beach. They charged me for 2 small battles of water that was in the room. Save yourself some trouble, don't go this place.

I started an inquiry and you were supposed to respond in 36 hours and I am still waiting. Please make this right. - Verified traveler (4/5): - The property is beautiful. Great pool and very nice rooms. The staff is great, the owner , not so much. My room smelled very bad. The reception said the smell would leave, when we ran the ac, but it didnt. The rude owner said it always smells like that when I addressed him. BEWARE.. Do not stay in rooms 101, 102, 103, 201, 202, 203, 301, 302, 303. They have a 24/7 casino bar. You will feel like you are in the disco. After a certain time there is no reception to complain too. Just security guards who will tell you wait for reception at 7am. When I addressed this with the owner, he said I should have called reception to lower it and walked away. Its a shame such a nice property has these problems. I travel alot. I believe this is the first bad review I have ever left!

- Boris (8/5): Nice small hotel - Savoy is a very nice place to stay in Las Terrenas. But it is not a sea resort, or a resort as such. It is located in a very quiet place and even a casino/night club that is their sister business doesn’t produce any noise whatsoever. So if you are visiting Las Terrenas for business or excursions in the area this should be your choice. The price/quality is optimal. The hotel itself is not bad at all but the clients are few and the restaurant is open for breakfast only. During our stay we had a few problems but the service is good and all was solved in a very short time, sometimes quite uncommon in The Dominican Republic. Overall I can recommend this hotel for staying in Las Terrenas.

Now if you have a motorcycle it’s ok, or a small car. If you have SUV you have to maneuver like hell. When we asked people how to get there, no one had heard of it. We eventually found it after having gone around for over 30 minutes. The hotel and staff were pleasant.

Some problems in the bathroom, the room is very dark, but the biggest problema is that the hotel does not offer meals or breakfast because it doesn't have restaurant nether close to its. In fact the hotel has a bar of casino that you can order something, but I did once to breakfast and was not good, the place is dirty and the food is not good. To breakfast I suggest to bay something and put in minibar and having lunch on the beach in the restaurant of the hotels, but are expensives

- Angeles (8/5): Hotel was almost perfect - Savoy is centrally located in las terrenas. Close to every beautiful beach. Very up todate. Super clean. The beds were super comfortable and the toom was big enough for my husband and three kids. We had a great pool view. The only thing i didn't like was that there was no restaurant. Sonwe had to go out to the town to hunt for a decent place to eat.

No restaurant at the hotel so we had to walk around to find something for lunch the day we arrive. At the time of check out (12.00M), surprise, no body at the front desk..we had to wait until a maid woman had to help us by calling the person in charge. New method: check out by phone. One more thing, if you pay with credit card, the hotel surcharges US10 additional.

- Juan (6/5): Noisy Room next to the lounge. - The hotel and room were nice and clean. Unfortunately we got a room right next to the lounge. The lounge is supposed to open from 6pm until 2am but they leave it open until 8am with loud music and people talking really loud so it was hard to sleep and rest. The hotel staff didn't had an answer to my concern, the only thing they said was that they were going to call and tell them to turn down the volume and I told them that the lounge is supposed to be closed at 4am, 6am and 8am that were the moments that I call to complain about the loud people and music. Overall really clean, nice room, good AC, nice and clean bathroom. Don’t stay next to the lounge!!!

The rooms were better than most 5 star hotels or even all inclusive resorts. I don't like to compare but I will definitely go back in a heartbeat. Casino, bar, room service, pool and overall magnificent staff.
- Simon (6/5): Nice hotel but not walking distance from beach. - Very new and nicely appointed hotel. Part of a residential complex. No on-site restaurant therefore you need a car to access restaurants and beach.
- Matthew (4/5): Terrible location worse staff - So disappointed, particularly in the location. When we asked about a taxi to alleviate the fact that there was no restaurant and we were in a dangerous area, the staff were baffled. If you are in LT to enjoy the beach the vibrant downtown scene, stay between downtown and Punta Popy, where there are so many cool, locally owned hotels. Avoid this place unless you don't plan to leave the room.

I would recommend to anyone staying in las terrenas. The only criticims i would have, is the options given for breakfast over at the restaurant/bar on the second level.

- Verified traveler (8/5): Modern hotel...but found wanting... - This hotel is very nice. We enjoyed being here, with several rooms booked for our party. Each room had a balcony that opened up to the pool area. AC in the rooms worked great. The only issue we found, was...the casino. Our room was right at the door that went into the casino. All night long there was music! Our family, on the opposite side of the hotel, heard nothing. So I think it was just in our area. Also, the morning "coffee" was not a good experience. The woman behind the check in desk, pointed to the coffee area, but it was cold, and old! When asked if there was more coffee coming, she shrugged her shoulders and said "sometime soon". We were not impressed with this...and went elsewhere for our morning coffee.

The whole experience was better than we had expected. We didn't eat in the restaurant, but the smell of bread baking in the morning was enticing, but we had to leave early. I would definitely recommend it.
