- Verified traveler (6/5): Staff does not encourage lift usage - Location is great but facilities - not so much. Lift is next door but the staff asked us to use the stairs instead. I'm travelling with my senior parents and iirc I read that this hotel has a lift and that was one of the key reasons I booked this place. Turns out the lift is out of bounds and we had to climb 3 floors every single time except during check in and check out (because we had luggage). Booked a quad room but towels, bottled water and toiletries were only given 2 sets. Requested for cleaning service after 2 nights and the cleaning staff threw away my interdental brushes (I wear braces) but not my ortho toothbrush (I put everything in the cup they provided😑). The brushes ain't cheap and I'm baffled as to how did the staff decide which items are considered 'trash'. Sound insulation is non existent. you could hear noise from the next room. Thank god everyone were generally quiet. The only good things: Quiet neighbourhood, family mart downstairs, near MRT station. All in all I would not recommend, because of my experience here.

- Yushin (10/5): - 房間整潔度超優，環保房緣故，需自備毛巾、浴巾、牙刷能降低過度的浪費，忘了攜帶也能即時付費購買很方便，服務人員的態度都很佳。 停車部分沒有包含在內，須提前預約車位或者停附近的停車場，其實停車都蠻方便的只是差在費用的多寡。 旁邊是大遠百及ktv、超商，附近也有一些餐廳能用餐，我覺得這個位置真的很不錯。

- John (8/5): Pleasantly Surprised - We were pleased to have clean comfortable rooms. The staff was helpful and friendly. We wish we had known in advance there was not an elevator. It would also to be good to make Sure the guests know to put the key in the slot near the door for the electricity to work.

A unique Family Mart not far away having a self laundry service within the shop. There are nice sitting areas with hot drink service while waiting for your laundry. Otherwise, the room seems average. Don't like the ceiling, too low. Very cooling fridge. Water pressure is strong. There are toys for kids to borrow. Helpful staff.

- Keith (6/5): - the location is good, next to a shopping mall and Train station. nearby also have shops selling movies and attractions, buffet for wholesale price. meaning, u can buy the tickets there and it is cheaper than buying at the ticket booth. they are two retaurants below the hotel worth trying and one burger cafe must try. the room is small and low ceiling. those abv 1.88m may have problems in the room. also accessing the toilet in the room is troublesome as u need to step down and then step up again. the apartments security is more friendly than the owner of this converted homestay.

- Verified traveler (8/5): - I like the location very near to the mrt, shopping malls. The room is big and new with most necessaries provided. The only thing is the lift is at the side of the building, you can't walk from the reception area. Hotel rooms are on level 1,2,3. Family mart(convenient store) is just two shops away. I will stay again.
- 981betya (6/5): Clean but disappointed on 2nd last day of stay - Hi travellers, We stayed in this lovely family hotel 🏨 during our visit. The room and toilet were clean, japanese sorta frame bed. Alls well till our 3rd night, came back and greeted by strong smell of cigarette smoke. Apparently one of the next door room guest was smoking and we shared the same air conditioning vent thus the smell floated over to our room. The hotel claims to have a no smoking 🚭 policy yet they were unable to do anything and only provided us with an air humidifier which only made the smell worse. We attempted to open the windows at one point but shut it close as it was a hot night and we wanted to avoid mosquitos. As a result, we did not sleep well and had to abandon our plans the next morning so that we can rest in the day. In the morning, housekeeping were kind to clean the room and change the bedsheets but the smell lingers still and you guess it, the neighbour continued to smoke. It seems there are no smoke detector in our room too. In a nutshell, not 🛑 advisable for guests with asthmatic issues thus beware.

- kimitakas (6/5): Comfortable room - It is not a luxurious hotel, but there is everything. The most important is that the hotel is clean. The location is excellent. It is close to MRT station and shopping malls. The 65 building is within a walking distance. There was no restaurant in hotel, but there are many eateries nearby.

Location also very near to the train station! The only side back was there was not a single hook in the big shower room to hook our clothes which created inconvenience when we needed to bath.... overall we were still very happy with our stayed with the Travel Young!

- fridaywoo (6/5): Super budget hostel - The southern part of Taiwan has many motels and hostels and so technically getting accomm for a night isn't a challenge. The challenge comes with it fits your budget and is comfortable/safe enough to your expectations. I had thought this was a budget hotel (as in those which operates out of the entire building) but it turned out to be just a hostel operating out of one level of a private housing block. Almost like a scaled up version of AirBnB. So while you check in at a shopfront, you'll get led to the back alley to take the lift to the second floor, to enter a corridor where the space is cut up into many small rooms. Naturally acoustics is bad. I'm glad I had a corner room so while the room is tiny, at least I'm kept away from the noise most of the time. Room didn't have a window so it was quite claustrophobic after staying in the room for 4hours to get my work done. Room had mosquitoes but they also provided electric mosquito repellent so it wasn't that bad and I could sleep well at night. Location wise, it is very convenient, just 5mins walk from MRT and the shopping mall. Near couple of bus stops. No washing machines and the nearest laundromat isn't near too. They have no place for you to wash up after you check out (most of the hostels/hotels I have been have a common toilet for people to refresh themselves pre/post flight), so try not to get yourself too dirty before a long flight home.

Our room was clean and simple and of acceptable size. Hotel staff was helpful. Good location near San Duo Subway, MEGA mall and Sky Tower 85.

- Livetotravel747 (8/5): Cheap, clean and convenient - A great hotel that is clean, cheap and convenient to MRT and shopping centre. My room was of a good size and with a big bathroom. Staff spoke enough english to be able to answer any problems or questions. Rooms are very quiet so a good nights sleep is able to be had. Family Mart next door. A 7 storey Shopping Centre is also next door. Free Wifi. I will return next time when in Kaohsiung

- 高雄熊 (10/5): 交通至便な都会的ミニホテル - ＭＲＴ三多商圏駅だけでなく何本ものバス停にも囲まれていてどこに出かけるのも楽でした。部屋は照明が十分にあり、なんといってもトイレ、シャワーの水回りが清潔で快適に過ごせました。ホテル前のテーブルできれいな並木道を見ながら憩いの時間を持ててこのホテルを選んでよかったと思いました。フロントの方も皆さん誠実に対応して下さり有難かったです。台湾に旅行したときに嫌だなと感じること（大陸の団体客が騒いでいる）がここでは何も感じられなくていい旅行になりました。

- weiduo (8/5): Close to train stn. - Hotel was close to sanduo shopping district train stn - about 5min walk. Staff is helpful and introduced me to the nearby market. Room size is decent for the price paid, clean and has all the necessities i need. Only down side is that the bathtub has no shower curtain.
- MAY (8/5): 高雄租車自駕遊 - 在高雄租車遊台東，墾丁，住宿【輕旅店】是因為較近小港機場，方面清晨趕到機場。 此旅店在大樓三樓佔全層，管理方面感覺安全，整潔，有電梯方便搬運行李
- Verified traveler (8/5): 可以用走的去搭輕軌，前往西子灣 - 距離捷運站很近，走百貨公司的出口較方便；床很舒服。 浴室的乾溼分離門老舊了，無法輕易開關。 如果能提供乳液，以及加一張小椅子的服務就更好了。
- Duenxiu (8/5): 地理位置棒 - 我這次訂的是最基本房型，主要缺點是浴室乾濕未分離需注意滑倒。不過地理位置是最大優勢，東有捷運西有輕軌，過個馬路是三多商圈，往南步行或搭捷運則有家樂福、台鋁、夢時代等，可逛的地方超多。若以逛商圈為主的旅客則強力推薦。

- jennytR6024TI (8/5): Convenient Location at the heart of City center - Convenient Location at the heart of City center, quite a spacious room at a budget price, clean room and comfy bed. The hotel is just minutes away from Sanduo MRT station. and there is a mega mall to shop and catch a movie.

- Pingutraveller (8/5): Super convenient location, great staff - It was my first time to Kaohsiung and I was glad that I chose to stay at Travel Young. The hotel was just right across the FE21 Mega Mall and that's exactly where I could catch the MRT (Sanduo District station) to all other places, including Kaohsiung airport which was just 10 mins ride away. I stayed at their Single Room (without windows), for an overnight stay I would say is defo value for money! Room was decent size, nice bed linen, only thing were walls were a bit tired, but overall it was great for a night stay, oh and the TV had English channels yeah! Their staff was super friendly and always kind to help, my mandarin isn't that great and I would really like to thank Cecilia at the reception for always being there to help me out with her fluent English! (For directions see photos): -From Kaohsiung airport take MRT and go to Sanduo District Station - at Sanduo District Station exit #2, go up the escalator towards FE21 Mega Mall, when u reach the mall's ground floor look for the exit with a Starbucks/Agnes B shop - Go out and turn right, just go straight on (along the way u'll pass by the mall's car park entrance), keep going until u see Family Mart - the hotel is just next to it!

- day (8/5): Very cheap price hotel - The hotel location is good as just few minutes walk to the station. Overall conditions is good but no facilities at all. If you looking for place for sleep only, it is a good choice with the cheap price.

- eclipsa (8/5): Best location for a short trip - Travel Young is a dream come true for budget travellers on a shopping trip to Kaohsiung. It is a few steps away from Sanduo KRT station, five stops and a 15 minute ride from Kaohsiung Airport. Far East 21 Mall (with cineplex and good hall) is in front of Travelyoung above Sanduo KRT Station, while Sogo and Shin Kong Mitsukoshi are opposite FE 21 Mall. Sinkuchan shopping district and Liouhe Night Market are only one or two KRT stops away respectively at Central Park Station and Formosa Boulevard Station (with the famous, colourful dome ceiling). The other hotel with the same super location is the newly opened, high end, five star Cozzi Hotel, with a price to match. Guests at Travel Young can get the advantage of this location but without frills at Travel Young. The basic double room has no windows and is suitable for a short stay for those looking for a comfortable bed and a clean bathroom for the night. Rate is from NT$1000 nett to NT$1500 nett per night (room only), depending on your dates of stay. There's a small tv with many channels suited for Asian viewers though there is CNN and HBO. There's bar fridge, a dressing table, kettle, hair dryer but no safe which doesn't bother me. Two bottles of mineral water are provided at the start if the stay; guests are expected to refill the bottles from the water dispenser near the stair landing on subsequent days. Cleaning services for those staying two or three nights like ourselves are on request basis, though the friendly and hardworking cleaning ladies will always make up the bed, replace the towels and provide new coffee and tea bags. The elevator is shared with other occupants of the building, is under 24 hour CCTV monitoring and guests returning after 10pm must show the room key card to the security guard. Free wifi in the rooms is a boon. The bike rental stand is outside the hotel, making it convenient to cycle along the straight road to Singuang Ferry Pier to go to Cijin Island. Yaletown a cafe next door serves western staples like sandwiches and pasta. Family Mart, a 24 hour convenience store is right next door and super convenient for getting drinks, snacks, supper or breakfast. The quad room with two double beds and windows is a good value choice for families. My only complaint: The bathroom is big for a budget hotel but no glass wall for the shower area causes the whole bathroom to be wet and slippery after a shower. Travel Young is a hotel that I will return to for future visits to Kaohsiung.
