- Richard Brenda (8/5): Clean - The place is pretty basic, but it was clean and the staff was pleasant.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It was a nice little town and Friendly's no that's enough
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Comfortable, clean. Floors/furniture need updating/renovating.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Pictures shown online are deceiving. Property is dated and could use some sprucing up.
- Jean-Pierre (6/5): - This hotel is old and tired. I would not stay there again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Hotel is dated. Needs painting, etc. Very clean in the meantime. Would not hesitate to stay again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - I thought you might have had seats on the balcony. Everything else was great. We felt like we had our own apartment.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - TrÚs bien équipé dans la cuisinette, lit confortable et unité trÚs grande
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Staff were very friendly and super helpful! Great experience
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Building was old and worn out; not well maintained. Water supply ran ice cold and hot in the shower. Sink and toilet in separate rooms. Light from room next door shining through under the wall. Very noisy.
- Jo (6/5): - It's what you'd expect when staying at a 2 star hotel.
- Mike (8/5): - Staff was less than friendly at check-in. Felt like we were inconveniencing her. In room air conditioner was old and controls were missing. Room was clean and comfortable. Parking is limited, as the lot is shared with the hotel next door. Overall, hotel is a bit long in the tooth, but the room is clean and comfortable.
- Scott (10/5): Love it - A beautiful place, cozy room, within walking distance to stores and restaurants.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Not a good option in Stephenville - This hotel is in need of a serious upgrade/makeover. Rooms are dated, A/C did not work well and everything was at best average! There are not many options in Stephenville and we chose this location as a stop over before catching the morning Ferry back to North Sydney. We wish we had stayed the course and drove the distance to Port Au Basque. Hotel was also well off the beaten path and no where near the highway. We were swayed by some of the other reviews but they definitely overrated this hotel. Also, there is no restaurant on sight, it is closed and we told under renovations but we did not see any evidence of work in process?
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good location; spacious room; front desk staff very friendly
- Kevin (2/5): Stay somewhere else! - We didn't even stay. It was a dive and was NOT what the photos show online. The place is a rathole. We ended up staying e.sewhere.
- Jennifer (8/5): - We are taking a scenic driving tour of Newfoundland. Good stop for the night
- Paul (6/5): Weekend Away - We had the only room with no air conditioning. Bathroom needed some updating. Overall stay was ok.
- Rayanne (8/5): Friendly staff and comfortable rooms. - Itâs not a new hotel so donât expect sleek and modern but it is very clean and comfortable. We tried to cancel our reservation to drive for a few more km that night but we were too late to get a refund so we decided to stay. Glad we did. Has a bar with pool table and darts, great place to relax for the night after travelling.
- LyndaAndWayne (8/5): Decent, economical accommodationsđ - Friendly Staff, and well maintained building. The decor is warm and comfortable.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - very comfortable beds. Clean room, good service. Bathroom could use some updating but that's just cosmetic things. Overall great stay.
- Gerard (8/5): Good value - Good hotel, but a little dated. However, it was clean and the price was good. Very friendly employees.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great hotel! - Very clean room, and very cozy. Staff was exceptionally nice
- Doreen (8/5): Hotel and cost - Hotel was great but because I had to leave a night early they wouldnât refund me my second rooms night money back so I lost over $130 for nothing. Would like to have my money back.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Nice hotel - Poor upkeep to room , curtains torn , cracks in bath tub surround, rotten wall showing in bathroom, black showing around mouldings, fan in bathroom wasnât working properly, very loud and dirty , the toilet wouldnât flush pro, handle broke on flush box , dish on pictures in room , fingeriprints on glasses located in room
- Brooke (10/5): - Really clean, quiet place (on a Monday night) in a great location. Friendly and helpful desk staff.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Reasonably priced. Noises from nearby rooms.
- Tony (10/5): Very nice experience. - Very comfortable, very clean room. Staff were very helpful and friendly. On site lounge has a welcoming laid back atmosphere.
As a motorcycle traveller, it is always nice to find a quiet and comfortable place to rest.
The Dreamcatcher ticked all the boxes to wind down at the end of a day's travel and for a great nights sleep.
- Dottie (6/5): Hotel was adequate, there were no outlets for tech - Hotel was ok. We had trouble getting there because of road construction, not hotels fault.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Very uncomfortable - We had an old couch that you couldn't get out of when you sit on it you sink to the floor
I sat in it once the table and chairs was hard the tub was old and dark spots on it the plug
For the tub was rusty. But the cleaning ladies did the best they could.
Not please at all won't stay there anymore.
- Meagan (8/5): - Older hotel but very clean. Only thing we found difficult was lack of plugins in the room. Had to move the bed to find a plug.other then that it was great.
- Doreen (4/5): The hotel was old and in need of repairs. - This hotel is old and in need of repairs. There weren't enough towels or facecloths. The second night we stayed there the worker charged us a $200 damage fee that was refunded when we checked out!! This is something that I've never had to pay at a hotel before. We were also charged more than the price quoted when I booked through Expedia!! The hotel worker did refund me when I complained. I would not use this hotel again!!
- Verified traveler (6/5): Hotel close to downtown - cute little hotel in downtown , close to restaurants and shopping as there is no onsite eatry
- Peter (10/5): Great place good value - Very friendly helpful staff
- Verified traveler (8/5): Content with our Stay - We were travelling toward the NL-NS Ferry and needed a place to stop for the night. This location provided a space that accommodated our large family. We would stay again, and in fact, have it booked for our return trip stop over.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - OK to sleep
No restaurant although advertised
No appliance plugs in bathroom
- travgee (8/5): Stayed here twice on recent trip - This is a clean hotel in the heart of Stephenville. It is clean and comfortable with big fluffy pillows and towels.Nothing fancy-no fridge and few plugs, but certainly good value for the money and in a safe neighborhood. On the return trip, we found the beach. Beautiful sunsets there- check it out.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Nice hotel terrible front desk harassment - I was harassed by the girl at the counter , the hotel wa great but I don't think I will be staying there again because of the harassment from the front desk.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Basic budget hotel. - This hotel was ok, but the walls were like paper. If you are a light sleeper then you may want to consider someplace else.
- Kimberly (6/5): - It was a great spot and it was nice to have a kitchenette. The only thing that was not great was the ventilation. I found the room stuffy most of the time. There was air conditioning but it was not installed securely and I don't like not being able to open a window to get fresh air.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Déçu - TrÚs déçu pour le prix et confort
- Robin (6/5): Acceptable lodgings in a rather dismal town - Not a fancy place, but the staff were pleasant and the rates were good. There is a bar and restaurant downstairs - we didn't get a chance to stop there for food or drink, but we were not disturbed by noise.
- Robert (6/5): Very basic and cheap accommodation - Restaurant had good rating but was not able to dine there as front desk was not able to say when it was open. It was hit and miss.
Toilet leaked in bathroom.
- Teresa (8/5): Convenient and budget friendly. - Convenient location, very comfortable room. We have stayed in the pet-friendly efficiency units before. This was the first time we stayed in the main hotel in a regular room. It was clean and spacious and we enjoyed our visit.
- mary (8/5): Close to school - It was clean ,staff very helpful , beautiful beach close by , everything close by like shopping centres , restaurants, Tim s , all on main drag !
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice hotel, great value - A very spacious efficiency unit with a separate bedroom with door. The kitchenette was small and outdated but it fit our needs just find. The hotel has a restaurant which has wonderful food for a great price.
