• Yvonne (7/5): Sehr zentral, guter Service und Preis Leistung. - Das Hotel ist schon top was das Preis Leistung Verhältnis angeht. Ich hatte die Junior Suite gebucht. Das Zimmer war für meinen etwas längeren Aufenthalt perfekt. Leider hatte ich Probleme mit dem heiß Wasser für die Dusche. Es konnte leider nur temporär repariert werden. Das Hotel hat imich dann in eine höhere Klasse Zimmer verlegt. Also guter Service vom Personal. Die Exekutive Suite ist etwas besonderes. Sehr sehr komfortabel Leider gab es hier auch Probleme mit den Sanitär Anlagen. Der Geruch von Abwasser im Zimmer konnte leider nicht beseitigt werden. Es wäre wunderbar wenn bei der Ausbildung des Reinigungsservice auch der Zimmercheck mit inkludiert werden könnte. Der Reinigungsservice kommt jeden Tag in die Zimmer und sollte immer so Sachen wie heiß Wasser, Wasserlecks alte Bettwäsche und Handtücher, ungute Gerüche etc im Auge haben und sofort melden. Damit bekommt man einen besseren Wartungsdienst hin. Alles andere war perfekt.
• Tomas (9/5): - The location is one of the best, and the staff were excellent. What I didn’t like was that the airport shuttle didn’t arrive on time, and we had to wait over an hour at the airport. Also, the breakfast was disappointing and did not meet the standards of a 4-star or 5-star hotel.

• SİYRET AYAS (10/5): A Flawless Stay Beyond My Expectations - The cleanliness was impeccable; my room was refreshed daily and always felt spotless. Breakfast was excellent in terms of variety and very filling. The staff was exceptionally polite, helpful, and always welcoming. The massage service was outstanding and a perfect way to unwind after a long week. The hotel’s location was ideal—well known by everyone, making it incredibly easy to get around by taxi. Having an airport transfer service was a huge convenience for us, especially since we arrived late and departed late as well.

• aucous (2/5): "I'm sorry..." - I'm amazed at the Getfam Hotel's reviews. My experience was unfortunately very different. By way of ‘disclaimer’, having traveled through 24 African countries, I am aware of the 'inconsistencies' that can present when traveling through the continent. Additionally, this was not my first visit to Ethiopia. What I experienced at Getfam was more than inconsistencies. I stayed at Getfam for four weeks while volunteering with an NGO. During my stay, my room needed to be changed four times. On two occasions there was no wi-fi (On the first occasion, I waited two nights for the promised fix.), on two occasions the toilet seat was loose, one room had no hot water, and in one room, flooding occurred in the bathroom, most of the room, and the exterior hallway. The staff were almost always exceptionally friendly. That said, they were almost always decidedly inefficient. A simple request such as organizing a taxi was incredibly complicated ("Sir, you need to get the app."), with one taxi request taking over 20 minutes. Ultimately, I chose to hail taxis from the front of the hotel. Staff in the bar or dinner area would talk with each other while I waited to order another drink, pay a bill, etc. On occasion (e.g. last night), bar staff needed to get credit card POS machines from reception or the next floor. Almost always, simple requests or processes took an inordinate amount of time to action. On one occasion, when I pointed out the bar's need for greater efficiency and organization, the barman giggled??? Finally, there were numerous food and drink options that were not available during the entirety of my stay. There were numerous other instances of Getfam staff's inefficiencies. From a positive perspective, the room cleaning staff were excellent. The laundry was always done extremely quickly. The breakfast staff were extremely attentive, and items from the buffet were replenished upon request. As a result of the inefficiencies, the staff were almost always apologetic: "I'm sorry." Regarding this review, I'm also sorry...

I always send my reservation with my passport details and airport pick up in advance so that there are no delays in checking in. Also there was some noise coming from nearby rooms or corridors not sure as like they were doing some maintenance. Hence they have to change me to another floor.

• agnessjmclean (6/5): Can't Do Get Fam - Now if you have read some of my other reviews, you know I don't get out much. So I read the reviews before I booked and satisfied with what I read, I requested that our travel agent book us into this hotel. We were attending a wedding there and I was looing forward to the stay. The wedding was very well done and for that, Get Fam should be commended. But the rest of the stay left a lot to be desired. My husband and I were most disappointed. Let me tell you why We checked in very late and was assigned to a room with no mirror in the wardrobe and a fridge we could not plug in. When this was brought to Get Fam's attention, they moved us to room with mold in the bathroom. When I brough this to their attention, they reminded me that they offered us a lesser room. But that's not what we paid for!!!!!! Additonally, We were served coffee/tea repeatedly in chipped coffee cups We did not enjoy the cold/recylced food in the breakfast buffet The chicken used in the chicken parm was so over cooked, we coukd hardly eat it We were surprised to discover the hotel had roaches I could go on, but you get the idea. We left a day early after the water was turned out w/o warning. I requested a refund for the last day and was told that it couldn't be done. I can't do Get Fam.

Other small issues took long to fix such as getting new batteries for the remote (took around 4 hours ) , the shower flooded every time I took a bath

During a 7-day stay I only had hot water in the shower twice, despite numerous requests for it to be tended to. The food is mediocre. Furnishings are decent but tired. Unlike most hotels in Addis, they don’t change money, which was an inconvenience. The airport pick-up was in an unmarked van and the driver did not have a sign with my name, which did not make me feel very safe.

• Ebenezer25 (8/5): Great country with great people! Nice coffee culture there. - I had a good time in Addis. The hotel was good and had a good location. Many cafes and restaurants around to explore. It had a nice swimming pool and good breakfast. Food 24hrs available was a plus. The hotel is in a busy street and I stayed during the end of Ramadan, so we had so many people blocking and closing the streets. Nothing related to the hotel, just be in mind that it's a busy area.

• Fortune_Madhuku (8/5): Nice hotel in central Addis - I stayed at the hotel for 2 days and really enjoyed my stay. As it was my first time in Addis, I found their airport pick up very convenient. The hotel has great location as it is in the heart of the city. The rooms are spacious, clean and well maintained. The hotel staff are warm and friendly. Food is great, with buffet option in the afternoon. I liked the heated swimming pool, steam and sauna, which are all free for guests. Great value for money. I was able to pay for accommodation and meals using by Visa card. I will definitely come back.

• Nipa (8/5): Our favourite hotel in town - Staff going out of their way to help - booking taxis and giving advice. The executive suite is very comfortable and ideal for a small family. Laundry is very fast and efficient. Good traditional food. Room service is value for money. Room service can be slow and sometimes forgetting orders. Some parts of the hotel are due a refresh (Stayed in two executive suites at either end of trip - the first room needed painting, second suite much better). I think the swimming pool is used by non hotel children - which is great for them. But it would be good if there were specific hours for children hotel guests.
