julie (10/5): - What a delightful stay at this gem of an Inn located within close proximity to downtown Deadwood.....beautiful center courtyard with plenty of seating, tables, bbq and flowers. Owner is highly responsive even after we checked out and I left something behind. She went over and beyond searching for lost items. Highly recommend this property!

There was very little pressure and the shower head sprayed the water in more of a mist. That being said we would definitely stay here again!

Towels and sheets were not your usual dull white and it was decorated nicely. Really liked the door code too instead of remembering keys. Didn’t have breakfast but right next door was a great place. Eva (10/5): Great Place to Stay - Room was clean, bed was comfortable. Property is well maintained. Check-in is at 4:00, but the staff was done cleaning rooms by 3:15 and got us in early. The hotel is an easy 10 minute walk to The Silverado casino. Restaurant at the Miner hotel next door had a great breakfast. Will definitely stay here again. Great room for a good price.

Jerry (2/5): Bait and switch to the most noisy room in Deadwood - Forced to change rooms after 1st day to the room next to the street. I was able to hear every Harley drive by along with all other traffic. If they offer you room 15 refuse it. First and last stay for me. Oh and I had to pay a premium to get kicked out of my comfortable room for the worst room in the joint.

The trolley stop was conveniently located right by the hotel to take us downtown. Coffee pot in the room and also coffee, doughnuts, and granola bars in the office in the morning.

Walter (8/5): - This an older motel that has been nicely remodeled. Rooms are small but nicely decorated. Facility manager is excellent; friendly and helpful. A Deadwood Trolley makes for easy access to the Main Street attractions. Trolly stop is right next door to the Motel. There is no breakfast but a restaurant is just 2 houses from the hotel; easy walking distance. Restaurant prices are very reasonable.

The Mickelson Trail is also within walking distance, as well as restaurants and coffee shops. The staff was so friendly and accommodating and provided lots of recommendations.

Plus they are very thick. No breakfast, but the restaurant right next door has delicious food. Very breakfast menu.

Kevin (10/5): - When I went to book a room on expedia the Cedar Wood Inn was considerably less expensive than most. It had a high rating so I decided to give it a try. I am so glad that I did. It was clean, comfortable, and extremely friendly. It isn't a "modern" property but I would recommend it highly and plan to stay again when I go back.

But, the room did not have a table lamp by the bed (ceiling fixtures only), had limited electric outlets, and the tub drain was very slow. The ice machine is located in the lobby, but you can't access it after 6pm since noone was there. A few simple updates would be beneficial to this property.

Susan (8/5): - The property is old and rooms are small and have had some renos .They are very clean. There is no services ei housekeeping or onsite staff after 4 or 5 in the afternoon. If you need something or need to ask anything, best to do that before they leave. We went looking for ice after supper and were told it was in the office. There are stairs to the second floor. We were not totally convinced the old keys on a tag were sufficient enough to keep any intruders out. The key was for the door knob and not the deadbold. The outside is well kept and there are lots of seating areas. It was quite all 3 nights we were there. This is the second stay here for us and it was fine for the small amount of time we spent in these basic rooms. The staff is friendly and welcoming .

Short walk to downtown attractions and restaurants. The local shuttle stops outside the front entrance. Great staff. I would not hesitate to stay there again.
