• ML (8/5): I had a quiet, comfortable, awesome one night stay at Travel Lodge. - Clean comfortable room. Great selection of pillows. Good shower. Friendly staff. Great that it was within walking distance of a good restaurant, Mr Mikes, and the free appy coupon was a nice touch, thank you. It was quiet, nice! It is great that you are updating your hotel. Couldn't figure out how the tv worked. Would have been nice to have a note in the room indicating sequence of buttons to turn on tv and channel selection. I could have called down to the front desk, but decided not to, no problem.

• Brenda (10/5): Sincere thanks to all the staff for making this trip so memorable. - Right from the start, the staff was incredible, every one we saw over the five days. They were so friendly, helpful, and fun. The room was very clean, perhaps a little outdated but served all our needs. Just because I am gluten free, I found the breakfast choices very limited. However they were very kind to show me the bars, and the muffins they did have in the back, that were gluten free, and ready anytime I asked.

• fiona (6/5): If I'd have know about the continued train activity all night on the website before booking, I would - It was exactly as I expected from Wyndham Ice machine right next to my room, awful... So many lights on things, like the microwave (could be unplugged), the enormous clock (not needed) and of course the tv and cable box....not to mention the light leakage through the I'll fitting door....

• Tian (5/5): We came to the town for a reason and the Travelodge suited the purpose. - Location next to freight train tracks means there is periodic noise. Continental breakfast - whole fruit was good. There were a number of fast food options within walking distance that we did not use, but in a town based on the car, having options is great. IMPORTANT shout out to Leslie at front desk who made our day when she helped solve a packing problem - wonderful and unexpected concierge service from her. Details - the room corners; stray hair in the bathroom, ill-timed cleaning. If check in is after 3p why start putting rooms together at 3:15p? Our room keys stopped working 1 day early. There were pets in some of the rooms and I'm not sure if ours was used in that way.

• Jim (8/5): - Staff was great, hotel was clean. Continental breakfast was stale, not fresh at all. The water pressure in the shower was almost nonexistent and drains ran very slow. The elevator made lots of noise and was kind of scary to ride in.

The signage for the attached restaurant made the hotel look a bit shabby. Perhaps they could put up a new sign. Also, there was a group having a beer party outside at the picnic table one evening. They didn’t stay past 11 pm but their foul language was very unpleasant and they were very loud.

The restaurant has great food and massive portions. The pet fee was surprisingly small. There were some other hotel guests that were rather loud each night during our stay. It seemed to be different people from different rooms and varying times from very loud music at 1 am to various people shouting at each other between midnight and 2 am, to what seemed to be a very loud argument between a couple, going on sporadically between 3 am and 6 am.

• James (1/5): Bad - Booking listed property as have in EV chargers. On booking I mentioned EV chargers and asked for main floor room. Property acknowledged request and confirmed main floor room. On phoning property re arrival time clerk did not know what an ev charger was and said they did not have them. Also room request had been voided and room was on upper level. So I traveled to public chargers in Red Deer, sat in car for 50 minutes, cancelled room and drove 2.5 hours to home. Will never book with that hotel chain again. WTF! Did not like anything about the experience. Just a big inconvenience.
