• Matthew (8/5): - Friendly staff. Problem returning in evening after 10.30. front door locked. No clear entry instruction given in advance. No mobile link actually operating. . Nobody available online via hotels.com. . Lucky that cafe owner knew number of hotel owner. He cam out and let us in. Otherwise a miserable night would have been had. Utterly c Incompetent lack of communication or access to communication. Must be fixed.

• Michel (8/5): - El Rocio est un autre monde: rues en terre, chevaux attachés devant des maisons, vue sur le parc et ses animaux...L'hôtel est simple mais sympa, chambres propres, tranquilles et confortables. L'hôel est bien situé au centre du village. Petit déjeuner simple mais pas cher. Bonne base pour visiter le parc Donana.

• ingusp (8/5): Simple hotel in beautiful town - El Rocio is really nice town, feels like going back in time when visiting it. As it was low season/ winter time, many places seemed deserted. Hotel building is really nice, with big terrace and nice lobby. Staff is not always present, so it’s important to agree on arrival time. Room was overlooking street where entrance is, but it was quite chilly during night. Wifi wasn’t working, but perhaps that was co-incident. Breakfast was cold slices and lots of packed stuff.

No me gusto la cama que le tienen un protector que hace muchísimo ruido, no me gusto la situación de la habitación ya que estaba en el mismo sitio que el comedor de desayuno y era un escándalo desde por la mañana temprano.

SLT handler om det og byens wild West image med kun sand i alle gater og fokus på hest og esel med eller uten kjærre som transport.Veldig spesielt og artig. Var der i helgen og både lørdag og søndag var det opptog av jomfrutilbedere tiltrådt i busser..

• Verified traveler (6/5): - Muy bien situado, como pega los baños no estan dentro de la habitación, aunque se suponen privados. El aislamiento acustico regular, si otros huespedes hacen ruido de madrugada al llegar te despertaran. El desayuno justito.
• Ste&Ben (4/5): Brutta esperienza - Al nostro arrivo ci e' stata data una camera che non corrispondeva assolutamente alla camera prenotata tramite Expedia: camera minuscola, senza finestre, maleodorante, piena di polvere, con bagno in esterno raggiungibile dopo attraversamento di una sala. Alla nostra richiesta di spiegazioni, il titolare ammetteva che nell'albergo non esisteva la tipologia di camera proposta online e nonostante questo non ci ha permesso di modificare la prenotazione pagando solamente la notte trascorsa in albergo. Abbiamo quindi dovuto accettare la permanenza anche vista la minaccia del titolare di chiamare la guardia civil se non avessimo pagato l'intero soggiorno. Oltre a rifiutarsi di modificare la prenotazione, aveva già inoltrato la richiesta di addebito sulla carta di credito nonostante avessimo richiesto un'altra forma di pagamento. In conclusione un pessimo albergo con pessimo personale, assolutamente da NON consigliare!

• Verified traveler (10/5): Charming hotel in the center of the town - El Rocio is a charming town where you'll have a lot of discoveries to make. The hotel is more than pleasant, clean, and the staff is very welcoming.
• TravelMore2 (8/5): Unique, quaint, authentic and hospitable - We had no idea what to expect and that also applied to El Rocio itself. We were blown away by the beauty and authenticity of the town and this gorgeous looking hostel. Very friendly, helpful staff and our rooms were absolutely beautiful, including our terrace balcony overlooking the marismas, the iconic church and the square between these. It is stunning. Very comfortable beds, extremely clean and delightful decor. We shared a bathroom with our son who was in a separate room. There are many rooms on the floor and I was unsure whether others would share the same bathroom if they were busier or not. Worth checking if this bothers you. The bar, café area is stunning, also extending onto a terrace balcony with exquisite views. We had a 5am tour of the Doñana National Park so didn’t get breakfast, however they packed us a picnic instead and we were able to get a very good coffee from the machine before we headed out and also on our return, which was a long time after breakfast had finished! Can’t therefore comment on the breakfast offerings. The only downside here is that the floors and doors are very noisy if they have guests arriving and leaving in the middle of the night. There were at least 2 sets of people coming and going between 2 and 4am so it was a bit of a broken night’s sleep. However, this is lovely and authentic and very inexpensive if you’re happy with the hostel type set up.
• Annie (8/5): - A bit difficult to find as El rocio, while being a magical place, was quite different than the average 'town'. There was hardly anyone at the Hospedería at all on a Sunday night. It might have been a bit noisier and shared bathrooms a problem if it had been full. The staff was pleasant and quite patient with my inadequate spanish.

• Verified traveler (8/5): Good stay - On arrival we were offered a room with a private bathroom next door not en suite as expected. As the room was downstairs near the reception we were not happy so were offered an en suite room in a nearby hostel Casa Rural Donana. Our rooms were on the top second floor and although small were clean and fine but low door and sloping roof. Plenty of hot water. WiFi signal OK on the area outside (tables and chairs for our use only) but didn’t quite make it into the room. This was fine although we had to walk back to Cazadero Real for breakfast each morning which was not a problem for us. Plenty to eat and a range even for vegetarians (cornflakes, bread, jam, cheese, ham etc, yoghurt apples, oranges) We had a very good stay despite initial concerns on arrival.
• Guillermo (8/5): Pudieron ser más serviciales - La información en HOTELES.COM NO indicaba que las camas eran individuales en la habitación !!! y que el baño, aunque privado, estaba situado fuera de la habitación. Habiendo más habitaciones disponibles, el establecimiento no nos ofreció una cama de matrimonio. Dicho esto, el resto de servicios y el trato del personal fue siempre correcto y amable.
• vanessakoh (10/5): Charming - This hostel was charmingly and imaginatively decorated with a blending of antiques and original art. Our bedroom faced the marshes and had a terrace which overlooked rhe famoys church ans from which we could watch the flamingos in the morning- we brought our own kettle and instant coffee, but, actually, the included breakfast began at 7 am and was most ample! Our hosts were lovely, bounding up the stairs with our suitcases! We felt most welcomed!
• Pascale (2/5): Hôtel à éviter - Prestation annoncée non respectée : chambre aveugle, toute petite en sous-sol, équipement sommaire: lits jumeaux, 2 tables de nuit et 1 armoire ne laissant pas de place pour poser et ouvrir les bagages. WC et salle de bain (soit-disant privés!) dans le couloir. Sans possibilité de modification satisfaisante correspondant à notre réservation, nous sommes allés ailleurs! Mauvaise fois de l'hôtelier en prime !
• Ron (8/5): Authentieke Spaanse ervaring. - Rocio is een bedevaartsplaats, in de weekenden een geliefde plek voor paardrijden en een bezoek aan het Nationale park. Met het strand op 10 minuten afstand is het een ervaring die de liefhebbers van Spanje niet mag missen.

• kutluay (10/5): İlginç bir otel - Bu oteli tesadüfen bulduk. Şehirde tüm yollar kumdu. Sorduğumuzda bölgenin at yetiştiriciliği konusunda önemli bir yer olduğunu ve çok turistik olduğunu öğrendik. Değişik bir deneyimdi. Çok memnun kaldık. Özellikle otel personeli çok canayakın ve ilgiliydi.
• Verified traveler (6/5): Hostal muy cerca del santuario - Les pregunté por whatsapp si el baño estaba dentro de la habitación y que quería cama de matrimonio, me confirmaron ambas cosas pero al llegar, ni una ni otra eran así, el baño fuera de la habitación y dos camas individuales. El trato del personal muy bueno, amables, simpáticos y ayudando en todo momento. La habitación estaba en la planta de abajo, con una ventana al rellano, es decir, nada exterior y muy pequeña. Es la económica, no esperéis gran cosa. El desayuno buffet libre bastante aceptable. Buena ubicación y limpieza. Relación calidad/precio aceptable. 50e/noche la habitación económica en los prolegómenos de la romería. El wifi iba fatal, apenas llegaba a la habitación.

• Graham958 (8/5): Lovely views - We stayed here for four nights. We had one of the rooms overlooking the salt marshes which had beautiful views. The rooms was very clean and kept so during our stay. Not large but with a private shower room and toilet in an adjacent room it was still fine for our stay. The breakfast was very reasonable with cheese, ham , fresh bread, yoghurt and fruit along with orange juice, tea and coffee. Drawbacks were the cathedral bell which rang every half hour, but the room and hotel were very quiet. The shower head could have been better and a few more coat hangers would not have gone amiss. However there was a nice feel to the hotel and the host, Jesus, was very pleasant.

• O9479WGbobh (8/5): Good for what it is, no quiet sleep though! - Probably as good as it gets around here. Don't expect too much and you may be pleasantly surprised. No good for light sleepers though as church bells ring half hourly all night, and lots of dogs barking. My room overlooking the lake was a little spartan, a table or something to spread your stuff out on would have been appreciated. However, it was spotless, and the air-conditioning worked and was quiet, also the shower was adequate. I was fortunate to get a room which had a terrace which overlooked the lake complete with flamingoes, the bird life here is fabulous, although I'm not a birder, I would defy anyone not to be impressed. I would agree with earlier comments on El Rocio - Clint Eastwood wouldn't be out of place here, and it's VERY dusty, so don't bother with fancy shoes, take old trainers. Sadly, the breakfast at El Cazadero was awful, just rolls , coffee and jam. Restaurants here aren't up to much either, the one at the far end of town , Malvia ( I think ) was best, and they serve a nice Rioja wine as house red).
• GracieFields2014 (8/5): Great Hotel with a fantastic location - A very clean and modest but well furnished hotel. Paco the manager speaks good english and is very helpful. The rooms are clean and tidy if slightly on the small side and some of the rooms have separate private bathrooms, rather than ensuite facilities. But they have everything you need and rooms are cleaned everyday. If you can make sure you are not in the room near to the kitchen as it can be quite noisy. Breakfast is cheap and optional. It is continental and although not a great deal of choice it is adequate and you can go back to the buffet as many times as you like. Fantastic views on the bar/terrace at the back of the hotel as it overlooks the lake and Donana park.
