• Ashley (1/5): - Super unsafe area, definitely will not recommend anyone to this place. Super unsafe, homeless everywhere later found out it’s a homeless shelter down the street. There was constant noise at night 2-3am gun shots, fighting, bats, cops. The parks was 8am-10pm so you have to walk 15-20 mins to find parking at night which is insane. Super unsafe area will not be coming back

• Ashley (1/5): I will definitely not recommend anyone to go the area was so unsafe and it was a scam! - It was next to many homeless shelters, there isn’t a parking area valet parking is between 8am-10pm only!! The rooms were extremely small and you can hear everything. Our first night there was many homeless outside and we went to bed there was people fighting outside around 2-3am bats getting thrown, gun shots, police around EVERYTHING we booked for two nights Friday- Sunday we checked out Saturday morning super unsafe area
• Jack (4/5): No worth the stay - The bed was comfy The fact is said it was a 4 star and was no where near a 4 star! The breakfast was awful and the amenities there were none existent! No washing facilities, no fridge, no radiator and the rooms were tiny! Windows were so thin you can hear the screams from the crackheads outside! And Couldn’t sleep from the neighbours tv behind our heads!

The staff was nice and were able to hold our luggage both before and after check in/out The street and neighboring rooms were very loud. There was a window panel in the bathroom door. The neighborhood was not a safe place to be after dark and its a few blocks to public transportation.

Not good experience and not safe environment Advertising with breakfast but only copy mashing with sweet cookies. You either take to the hotel room or east on main lobby(not designated room to eat). Should not be advertised room with breakfast in my Opinion
• Denise (3/5): - Kaffee und Frühstück waren gut. Netflix und YouTube ging sehr gut am Fernseher. Das Hotel und die Zimmer haben nicht so ausgesehen wie auf den Fotos. Die Wände waren so dünn, dass man alles von den Nachbarn und dem Gang mitbekommen hat.

Meteli kadulta kuului suoraan huoneeseen. Palovaroitin oli poistettu huoneesta. Tästä samasta asiasta huomauttivat muutkin asukkaat. Sängyn reunat ulosteen tahrimat. Huoneet pieniä.

• aldhahri (5/5): the small rooms with no windows should cost $40-$50. not the actual price for a proper room with windows and working air - the designs and the outside look I stayed at this hotel for three nights, and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. The room I received looked nothing like what I paid for or what was advertised, which felt misleading from the start. The air conditioning was barely working, making the room uncomfortable throughout my stay. On top of that, the TV didn’t work at all, which is a basic amenity you expect when booking a hotel.The room itself was extremely small and had no windows, making it feel cramped and poorly ventilated. Overall, it did not match the standard or value I paid for.I did not get what I paid for, and the overall experience fell far below expectations. I would not recommend staying here based on my experience.

• Humberto (5/5): Pleasant stay, it could improve by fixing the toilet. - The room was ok, small, as most rooms in SF, but it was ok, it seemed clean, but I did get pink eye, so... Also, the toilet doesn't work well so it is very hard to make it function properly. The location of the property was in a very bad zone, but in the positive, you were just one block from a better looking street. The zone where the hotel is located is really bad, also they have to work on their cleanliness.

The property is not in a good neighborhood. Be careful when you leave the hotel. Also the walls are thin, you literally could hear everything in the next room!!

• Bihan (6/5): Correct - Le personnel était très agréable. La propreté de la chambre était très bien ainsi que le confort de la literie. La salle de bain est très bien équipée. Malgré des chambres petites, elles sont très bien aménagées. L'hôtel est facile à trouver et proche de plusieurs transports en commun. Nous avons été privé d'eau chaude pendante 24h. De plus le petit déjeuné n'était pas à la hauteur. Il s'agissait plus d'un "get and go", uniquement du café, quelques fruits, bagels et muffins. Nous avons été déçu sur ce point. Enfin l'isolation phonique n'est pas à son maximum, nous entendions vraiment tout ce qu'il se passait à l'extérieur de la chambre ou même de l'hôtel.

• Serena (1/5): - Nothing I have tried to get a refund because we didn't stay and I'm just getting the run around Dear Hotel Management, I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with my recent experience. The condition of the room I was assigned was unacceptable and did not match the standards represented at the time of booking so I asked to cancel and get a refund. The employee first argued with me about the parking and was making inappropriate comments about how it was just a few dollar difference so it shouldn't matter. Upon arrival, it became immediately clear that the room was not up to par. The pictures you promote aren't recent ones. Specifically, I encountered the following issues: * The room was not clean upon arrival. * There was a strong, unpleasant chemical odor present throughout the room. * Several lights in the room were not functioning, making it difficult to see. * The bathroom window lacked a screen, posing a security risk and allowing insects to enter. * The actual condition of the hotel and rooms differed significantly from the photos displayed on your website at the time of booking. * The final price charged was different from the price quoted in the email confirmation I received prior to my stay. I would also like to state that I have tracking on my car and after requesting to leave, your driver took my car an extra 13 minutes around when he was down the street from the hotel. These issues significantly detracted from the quality of my stay. Given the considerable discrepancies between what was advertised and what I experienced, I request a full refund for my stay. I have attached copies of my reservation confirmation and any photos I took to document the issues mentioned above. I look forward to your prompt response and resolution to this matter. P

Les murs sont des passoires phonique, On entend le voisin ronfler. Les lits sont minuscules, le hall d'entrée et les couloirs sont salle. Le quartier remplit de toxicomanes dangereux.
• Jan (6/5): The location sadly means I wouldn't go back - The EPIK is an ok hotel in a difficult neigbourhood. The hotel suffers as a consequence. It had a number of signs of lack of care, such as a teabag in the toilet, TV not working, draughty window, squeeky bed but overall was fine. The breakfast was basic but fine, oats, hot drink, juice, fruit, yoghurt and pastries. The staff were friendly and helpful. The price was reasonable for San Francisco which was otherwise very expensive. The location generally felt unpleasant. The area is well known for homelessness and drug use but the level was off the scale. This is not the hotel's fault and the City of San Francisco should do more than it is doing to address this problem. It is a disgrace that not more is being done. The hotel could do a bit more to sharpen up the rooms but generally ok.
