Guest Reviews
- Joanne (2/5): Disgraceful - Got to the hotel only to find out it had closed down leaving me and my partner stranded
- Martyn (10/5): Fine - Very good but disappointing restaurant not open Sunday and Monday
- David (8/5): Would Use Again - Very comfortable.
- Dennis (8/5): Night away - Hotel was excellent and Ulverston was better than expected
- Dennis (10/5): - Excellent hotel would definitely return
- Paul (4/5): - Pleasant staff, very very small room with old style everything, noisy plumbing and could easily hear the guests next door- thin walls! WiFi on the top floor was poor. Won’t stay again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great base for Windermere - Great hotel made to feel very welcome
Great refurbishment
Can’t wait to return
- Jazini (10/5): Excellent - Staff were really nice and helpful. Food (breakfast was excellent) and hotel room was clean and comfortable.
- A (10/5): Lovely place - Help with bags and a heater provided made the stay near perfect.
You need to take your own coat hangers if in room one.
- Mark (6/5): Overnight Stay for Work - Nice hotel, very pleasant staff but due to the chef not being on time for work there was a long delay.
- Jan (10/5): Marvellous - Couldn't have asked for more. Checked in early, great shower and everything you need in the room. Excellent location very helpful re the parking. Breakfast the best ever.
- Steve (6/5): Business Overnight - Nice little hotel, centrally situated. Car park free 6.00pm-8.00am 100m away. Unfortunately their restaurant is only open Thursday-Saturday, but was able to get a good meal at The Farmers just down the road. Room and shower a little small but overall quite adequate.
- Richard (8/5): Excellent stat for 3 nights - Great quality breakfast and a quiet room.
- Mike (8/5): Business trip - Lovely small hotel, excellent location, great breakfasts. I'll stay again.
- Kevi (8/5): Room 7; Overpriced for region, No lift; many steps - +ve: lovely decor to large, high ceiling ground floor dining lounge and adjacent cocktail bar with large array of choice and friendly, helpful staff.
-ve: Hotel on double yellow lines and no parking. Car parks nearby but pain in the heavy rain. No lift inside and quite a few steps even from street level. Ladies loo up one flight of stairs from bar. I requested top floor room which I received (thanks) although Room 7 was quite space limited. En suite shower room very tired with hole in ceiling, very off white gloss on woodwork and ageing grouting. Shower power and heat good though.
+ve:,Wholesome, quality breakfast with fresh fruit/ juices etc and nothing too much trouble, so we left oversated!
Overall: pleasant stay, very clean and great food. Small tired room overpriced by c£30 given local competition we thought although larger rooms on level one are the same price apparently. Would stay again if better vfm possible.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Stylish hotel in town centre - The owners and staff offered a warm welcome, and throughout our short stay continued to demonstrate kindness and consideration to a level "above and beyond" usual expectation. The standard of decor is excellent, the bar fabulously stocked, and the food tip top! A highly recommended place to stay, I hope to return soon.
- Andrew (10/5): Great place to stay - Great place, friendly people.
- Tony (8/5): Great Location In The Town - Very modern decor, smart bar, restaurant and newly carpeted. I stayed in a single en-suite room, slightly small if you wanted to sit in and watch TV. It was quiet with no noise from the street or from other guests.
- Angela (10/5): Nice weekend - Nearly everything perfect, even the Christmas decorations.
One thing to improve more heating in the dining room.
- David (8/5): - Clean, comfortable and great staff. Convenient for shop's, bars and restaurants.
