• Lopez (8/5): Good place to stay - I liked the fact that I had the whole room for myself! And it was peaceful. It is different from other hostels, it doesn’t have any activities, the place is mostly just to go to sleep, no interaction with staff or other guests.

• annabel (4/5): - Unfortunately, we felt it necessary to leave our stay at DC Hostel after only one night, even though we’d booked in for four. The place was in a state of disrepair and had no sense of pride or care. There were numerous broken appliances including the stove. There was no crockery or cutlery and in our room there was an electric cord hanging out of the wall which was dangerous. The bathroom had many broken parts, including the toilet doors, one of the showers and a cracked basin. I also didn’t realise the bathroom was male and female shared and so got a shock when a man had not locked the door and l walked in to him naked about to get in the shower. Having said ask that, the sheets were clean and soft and the pillows were comfortable. Unfortunately there was also no common room which hostels are known for as a way to connect with other travellers.
• Carl (1/5): Bad - It was close to the Metro station Worst sleep & hostel/ motel experience of my life. Ive stayed in a lot of budget motels/ hostels, especially in the South and this was far worse than anything I experienced. The staff was rude and standoffish, when there were even working. The rooms have no ventilation and the 2 rooms I was in had no windows, not sure how thats legal. The first room I shared with a man tweaking, flash light on strobe mode, blaring music all night! Eventually I caved and someone was finally at the front desk and asked to be moved to a different room. They moved me upstairs wich lacked a mini strobe/ R&B concert but could hear the club music from the bar next door. Again, no windows or ventilation. Oh, and the communal showers where covered in mold and cold! Absolutely horrible experience

• Pearl (8/5): Pleasantly surprising for a 4 day stay. - I don't know how they did it, but the hostel smelled amazing when I came in. There was cleaning of the unoccupied beds constantly, you were provided sheets, beddings, and towels, and there's also an iron & ironing board in the kitchen. The hostel bathroom was not perfectly clean, but that's to be expected, and privacy in the restroom was lacking. In the kitchen, there was nowhere to get fresh drinking water, and the Wi-Fi doesn't work in there.

• Shayla (7/5): Definitely Better Than The Reviews Have Said - The staff was really considerate! They accommodated me as best they could when I needed to extend my stay. The place improved during my stay as well which was two weeks. The other guests were the main issue to be honest. There was a cleanliness issue the first couple days, but it definitely improved!
• Lalley (10/5): A good thing to understand - It's location is less then 2 blocks from Metro with a 7-11 one store down. Cheap food I can be booked, must book online and if you book ahead of time. It's a good thing to understand the living conditions of a hostel. 2 bunk beds per room room share with other travelers

Great location for transi - Good location- nearby metro stop, bus routes, grocery stores, restaurants and bars. Not exceptionally clean common spaces, none of the bathroom stall could lock. Disgusting, cleaniness is bad, it is more about the manners of other people who come to stay than the hostel itself. Hostel is okay only if the people come to stay has some manners. For female - do not choose mixed room unless it is your friends. Bathrooms are not great, it is shady when an unknown man is walking around with nothing on. We didn't feel safe, but this is not entirely in the hands of management, but they could put extra efforts in making everyone feel safe and comfortable.

• Farrow (1/5): I sleep with one eye open - I got some sleep, very quiet! I got there at 7:58 pm precisely with heavy snow coming down. Someone finally let me with no receptionist. Calling number on door and to business Noone answered even though booked reservations. Finally a man came down and he said he couldn't check me in stating that I had stayed previously and shit all over the place that the maid had it on camera and others said the same thing. I informed him that I knew it was a lie about the maid as I had spoke to her. After he would call his manager he said. he would ask her(i.e. manager). After him on phone for twenty minutes, she said it was alright and he booked me in. He said to talk as the maid had it on camera when she came in at 2 the next Afternoon. Checkout was at 11 am and the same as previous time never said a word to me about it; but I highly insulted and the only caucasion that night. I have stayed there a few, never more than three days in the past. Paulie Farrow

• Douglas (8/5): I enjoyed those I bunked with and loved sitting behind the large window to safe see street activity. - I feel the pop machine and the lock boxes in the ground floor kitchen should be repaired so that tenants can lock up valuables. Security is limited which, given we all sleep with three strangers, could be improved. I go to a gym and they have lock boxes that one can enter their person password into and can open it whenever they need to. Given there are about 30 beds, a locker with 35 locked doors would do the trick. Not much. It was great and I would return again in the future.
