Guest Reviews
- Michael (10/5): - Beds were comfortable, rooms are very clean. Good food and great staff at the bar
- Randy (10/5): - It was nice hotel, bar, restaurant combo.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Needs Improvement - The most annoying part of the stay was the bathroom fan - very loud, especially when turning on the light. There was no way to turn off the fan!
The breakfast was not impressive.
Rarely was there an attendant at the front desk, even at checkout.
- Craig (6/5): - This property was adequate for our needs. The room was smaller than we would’ve liked. Breakfast was limited. The location was accommodating to our needs. This property is located along US Highway 12, making access easy.
- Travis (8/5): - Good parking
- Tom (8/5): - Nice hotel for a small town. Owners were friendly. Will stay again when I'm in the area.
- Duoachong (6/5): - It's a place to rest your head.
If you're looking for service, don't.
- Stuart (10/5): - Always the best place to stay in Webster!
- Patricia (10/5): - Beds very comfortable
- Tim (8/5): - This a great little resort. Restaurant is attached, with a great menu and great food. Staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms were very clean. Definitely will be back!
- Anthony (10/5): - Always relaxing environment
- James (6/5): - The hotel was underwhelming. Our doors lock was broken, floors were dirty. The walls were so thin you could hear everything. The one plus was the bar and grill attached to the hotel was great. Good service and good food. I would stay somewhere else next time and just eat at the gallery bar and grill
- Gavin (10/5): - Good property - needs a facelift and some keycard technology, but a good stay!
- Kylen (6/5): - N/A
- Steve (10/5): - Everything was great for a hunter with a dog. The room was clean and comfortable after a long drive.
- Larry (6/5): - The food in the restaurant was very good. The door handle on our room needed replaced it was very loose and hard to lock. There was a lot of flies in our room also very annoying. If you plan on sleeping in not the place for you because walls are paper thin you can hear everything. They start cleaning rooms and knocking on doors at 7:00 am sometimes before seven which was not a problem for me because I was up already. The continental breakfast was a joke you are better off walking over to the gas station like we did. Overall for the price I would probably stay again if I needed somewhere to lay my head
- Ellen (8/5): - Rooms were clean and well kept!
- Mary (6/5): - This hotel is fine except our door lock didn't work properly and the walls/door are thin so it was easy to hear other guests. Luckily people were quiet for the most part. The pillows were too thick to sleep comfortably on them. The continental "breakfast" was pretty awful. All the cereals were sweetened, the yogurt was Trix brand (full of sugar) and the muffins were really sweet as well. The bread for toast was white only. All the plates and bowls were styrofoam and the utensils were plastic creating a lot of garbage. The glasses in the room were plastic too. Our towels were removed and replaced after one use. Not very environmentally friendly.
- daniel (10/5): Santa Dan motorcycles ride - Simple clean decent place to stay . Bed was comfortable
- Suzanne (8/5): - The hallway carpets are dirty looking,
- Jill (8/5): - What a nice small hotel, with a great bar and restaurant attached. Clean and the staff was friendly .
- Stevie (6/5): - Property does not see Expedia reservations! If you book through the app, be sure to call and let them know so they don't give your room away!
- Jason (10/5): - Great place, will be back!
- Douglas (10/5): - The people were fantastic. Salt of the Earth. Thank you for the stay.
- Amy (10/5): Nice, quiet hotel - The staff was amazing - friendly, courteous, went above and beyond. The room could use some updating, but it was very clean.
- Jennifer (10/5): - We have stayed here a few times previously, usually in the summer, and absolutely love it! Love the staff, convenience, everything and everyone. We will be back!
- Timothy (10/5): - Clean and simple and dog friendly. As advertised. Nicevstaff
- Patricia (10/5): - Enjoyed our overnight stay. Everyone was polite and pleasant. If you are inclined to use cash I would suggest it. There’s a surcharge to use a card.
- Barbara (4/5): Disappointed - Was not prepared to be greeted by a 6%surcharge for credit card use. At $140 a night, who has that much cash. Looked up to parking lot. Flimsy door with no deadbolt or security chain. Room smelt stale. Sat on bed and kept going down, terrible mattress. Upon arrival frig a as dirty but did get cleaned.
- Steve (2/5): Disaster again with Hotels.com - After booking with Hotels .com and driving for 3 hours to get there, I was informed that they had no rooms available and there were no rooms available in town! Will never be using this service again as this is the second time they have done this to me!
- CRYSTAL (6/5): - The staff was friendly ,but we booked for 2 nights but had
an emergency & had to head home on Sat, We told the desk (this one was not friendly) at 7:30 am but she made us pay for another night. They were not booked up & I feel they should not have charged us. The room & food were great.
- Clark (10/5): - 👍
- Mark (8/5): - Just what was needed after a long day of travel.
- Jeremy (10/5): - Very friendly staff and convenient location.
- Rhonda (8/5): Very clean, rustic family-run hotel - A very good, basic hotel stay. Most important thing to me is a clean room and comfortable bed. The room was spotless and the bed was good (a little squeaky) for a hotel in this price range. Nice sheets and towels were thick and seemed brand new. Hotel lobby is unimpressive- rustic/basic. Not much to offer for breakfast. This is a simple, family run place so you're not going to find someone at the front desk most of the time. Food in the attached restaurant was good.
- Vickie (4/5): - This hotel had comfortable beds and was clean. We needed to get up early. Unfortunately other guests made it hard to get a good nights sleep. A table and chairs was located next to our window, and guest made noise until about 11pm. Then kids were running up and the hallways and stairs until midnight until I got up and confronted the parents. The Galley has no night staff, so the situation could not be addressed.
- Chad (10/5): - Nice fish cleaning station
- Mary (10/5): - We were pleasantly surprised how adorable this place was. It was well set up, clean, and had country character. If my son comes hunting up in SD, he plans to stay at the Galley again. Very cozy and well maintained!
- Cynthia (4/5): Big surcharge and bug! - 8% surcharge for credit card use! An extra $8.00 on a $100 room. Outrageous! Dead bug in tiny bathroom bathtub. Door into room did not lock and deadbolt was taken off. Topped off with dried up chicken and walleye complete with skin and 12 bones for supper. Never again!
- Julie (10/5): - Restaurant and bar on property - convenient and good food. Staff was friendly.
- Michael (8/5): - Very friendly staff! We enjoyed our stay. Liked the convenience of hotel, restaurant, and bar at this hotel.
- Rameses (2/5): Trucker hotel - Outdated beds rooms smell like cigarettes and moldy. They over priced us. It was a very poorly maintained building and the rooms are failing apart
- Stephanie (4/5): - We stayed here one night. The heating unit was extremely loud turning on and off through the night. Beds were very uncomfortable. We chose to leave after one night. Still waiting for refund since they charged us for the full stay upon check-in.
- Steven (10/5): - Couldn't find anything wrong. I will be back. Staff and tenants there we're super nice. Love South Dakota. 👍
- Danny (8/5): - 2nd stay service was slow from kitchen. Should have had the buffet. Friend said it was excellent. At 730am very little hot water in 206.
- Danny (10/5): - Great staff. Good bar and restaurant. Back for 2nd stay.
- Frank (10/5): - Great place
- Gretchen (10/5): Nice, basic hotel - We were in Webster for a wedding, as were many other guests. The hotel staff got our room ready early so we could get ready and get to the church on time.
- Lisa (10/5): All we needed at one location - Comfortable and very convenient, easy to find, great food too. Would definitely stay there again!
- Michael (8/5): - Clean,quiet,and friendly
- Gary (10/5): Great place for all you need - Hotel bar restaurant was amazing and staff so accommodating. Bartender Sarah was so nice and accommodating.
- Jennifer (6/5): - The staff is super friendly and great food at the bar but the noise at night was terrible. People were coming and going at all hours, room doors slamming, people outside our window at 3am smoking and talking loudly, someone screaming in the hallway at midnight. Not sure this will be our go-to place anymore when in Webster unfortunately.
- Julie (10/5): -
- Shannon (10/5): - Our stay was amazing. Great staff and amazing food at the restaurant. We decided to stay an extra night and were able to get the same room. We will definitely stay here again!
- Michael (10/5): Great service, friendly staff and clean property - Stayed at hotel for first time as my dad and I needed a place to stay for Ice fishing trip. Great, friendly staff. Rooms were clean and cozy and beds comfortable, just perfect for what we needed. Bathroom was clean and we had clean new towels everyday when we returned from fishing. The restaurant that is attached has great, friendly service and good home style cooked food with many options to choose from. Wing Wednesday is great and some of the best wings I have have in a long time. Overall this is a great hot to stay at of your need a nice, comfortable place to stay while enjoying the many lakes or of you need a place to stay for the guided fishing trips. Will be back again for sure!
- Mike (10/5): - Fish cleaning facility. Also was connect to a bar and grill.
- James (10/5): - Great place to stay
- Juliette (8/5): - This property was very clean. Staff was friendly. It had a restaurant/bar connected, but didn’t serve breakfast. The hotel did serve breakfast though. It might be time to consider replacing mattresses.
- Nicholas L (10/5): - It was very nice and great food
- Brady (8/5): - The bar and grill is great and food is excellent
- Neil (10/5): - We ate at the restaurant there at the hotel and we all had great meals and service.
- Debra (10/5): Visiting with friends - This hotel is a gem with an attached Bar and Restaurant. We had a welcoming person at check-in and when we returned later in the evening for dinner and drinks, our waitress was absolutely amazing! I feel bad that I didn't get her name so that she could be recognized in this review. We will definitely be back.
- Wambdi (2/5): UPSET - noone was at the office when i showed up to check in so i had already paid for the room but could not recieve my keys to get into the room ended up sleeping in my car
- John (10/5): Accomodating - They were able to accomodate my schedule and allow for a late checkout with no problems.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - All the staff were very friendly and courteous. The room was nice and clean. My husband and I were impressed with how the hotel was kept up. Dinner at the attached restaurant was delicious.
- Verified traveler (8/5): satisfied - comfortable, quiet, clean.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Staff was friendy
- Chris (8/5): - Good location and good food on site make this my go to when I am in the area.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very quaint. Friendly staff. Rooms were very clean and cozy.
- Susan R (8/5): - This was an excellent place to stay. The beds were a little soft for my taste, but other than that it was excellent.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Nice big parking lot to accommodate all the fishing rigs. The fish/bird cleaning station was also very nice with hot water and plenty of space. Very comfy/soft beds as well. Definitely staying again.
- Stacie (10/5): - I had a room with a king size bed, plus a fold out chair for my husband, myself, and a child...hot water was scalding hot like I like it! For Christmas weekend, it was quiet and housekeeping checked on us daily! Friendly atmosphere and friendly staff!
- Dion (2/5): Horrible place to stay. - Dirty room, no one was ever at the front counter, no breakfast, the dining room was closed due to Christmas party.
- Lance (10/5): Nice Place - Nice little Motel in small town South Dakota. It was a little dated, but the room was very clean and comfortable. Attached restaurant was a big bonus as there is not much in this small town. Food was awesome and the wait staff were very friendly. I would stay here again
- Daniel (8/5): - It’s a small town. Definitely aged hotel. Staff was nice though.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Awesome having bar and grill this close. Great food. Rooms very nice
- Josh (10/5): Fishing - Pleasant experience
- PaulSmith (10/5): - Older decor but absolutely spotless clean. Check-in and out was a breeze, they have a great bar and restaurant and very friendly staff. I won't hesitate to stay here in the future.
- BigAl (10/5): - Rooms clean and cleaned each day. Grill on site had good food with different specials nightly.
- Fishing4theWeek (10/5): - Stayed at the Galley for the 1st time and The Galley did not disappoint! This wasn't a 5 start hotel or anything but the rooms and property were cleaned and having a clean tub is a plus! Staffs were wonderful as well. Highly recommend when visiting the area. The Galley has gotten our 5 stars!
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The room was very clean and comfortable! The parking lot was spacious with enough room for a pickup with a trailer.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great location to fish several lakes. Easy to get in and out of with a pickup and trailer plenty of parking.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Had to sit or lay on the beds to watch TV. Electrical outlets hidden and had to be shared, none extra when the laptop batter goes low.
