Guest Reviews
- Connor (10/5): - Situated in a lovely village. Parking was easy and free. The pub itself was lovely. The room was quiet and comfortable and had brilliant breakfast options to boot. Nothing. It was ideal.

- MZ (9/5): Outstanding little hotel in the most beautiful Surrey village you could imagine - Everything was brilliant. From the welcome to the quick tour, room, bathroom (large sink and shower - a rarity for the UK). Best veggie breakfast I've ever had. Beautiful village and surrounding country - just mesmerising, even driving by.
- antoine (7/5): Good stay to stroll around the area of Chiddingfold and sympathetic manager Fabio - Great location, friendly staff Cleanness in the room amd on the terrace, and the restaurant menu could have been more diversified
- Nathan (9/5): Great place to stay, we would happily stay again - Great hospitality and all facilities were good, quality of food very good

- Juut118 (10/5): Perfect! - I have had a fabulous experience. Stayed for 4 nights and it was just perfect. Very beautiful hotel, nice atmosphere. Room was impeccably clean, clean towels every day. Shower was the nicest of all! Staff were all very polite, wanted to make sure we had a good time. Breakfast was exceptional. Very pleasant stay! Would definitely recommend. We were told not to drink tap water in room as is not really drinking water, but compensated with free bottles of water. Was not a problem at all for us. Nothing!
- Matt (10/5): - Everything from the welcoming to leaving me a breakfast on my exit. Nothing
- Ticehurst (9/5): Lovely and will stay again - It was a beautiful pub friendly staff food great and al lovely room One small thing the shower gel container was empty but had my own

- joanne (9/5): will definitely stay again if in the area - The staff were very friendly and welcoming at the Swan Inn, we were shown up to our room which was a good size and well maintained and had a lovely shower room. we then ordered some drinks at the bar and sat in the beer garden which was a relaxing quiet space with lots of seating. We had a great nights sleep very comfy bed and a tasty full English breakfast in the morning. There was a little noise of the bar staff closing the pub, but it didn't disturb us

- Joris (9/5): Buitengewoon sfeervolle pub. Met heel veel plezier gezeten. - De supergezellige pub en het erg vriendelijke personeel. I love the jokes 🙂 Eten is best duur, maar dat geldt voor bijna alle Inn's.
- Lisa (10/5): Lovely place , so much character & great rooms! - Staff were very friendly & our family room was great!
- David (9/5): Great stay at the Swan, will come again - Staff were friendly and helpful
Room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, and they had provided bed, bowls and treats for our dog :)
Breakfast was very nice

- Thomas (8/5): Comfortable old world charm in a great location. - Comfortable. Very friendly and helpful staff. Water temperature in bathroom was tepid but staff responded when advised.
- Mark (8/5): Helpful staff - Good breakfast
- Elizabeth (8/5): - The staff were great, very welcoming. The location is good. The breakfast is very good. The shower did not work very well.
- Pattison (6/5): A lovely night away in a lovely pub with super staff, but the room itself was a bit of a let down. - Staff were super friendly. A lovely pub and food was good. The bed was very uncomfortable. The room was basic, had a bit of a stale smell and the view from the window was a brick wall.
- Gregory (10/5): -
- Lucie (10/5): - Everything! The food (diner and breakfast) was spectacular, the shower was big and great pressure, the room was spotless clean, the beds were super comfy. I highly recommend!

- Rachael (10/5): -
- Jessica (9/5): Comfortable and relaxing - It’s a wonderful and very comfortable inn. The room was very big and we loved the restaurant.
- DAMIAN (10/5): Great place to stay or eat. Fantastic food and great ‘staff’. Best in the area. - Everything Nothing
- Peter (9/5): Would return and try the evening menu next time. - Absolute superb breakfast with excellent choice. Friendly staff. Great ambience in a nice setting. It is a roadside property so there is some road noise.
- Simon (9/5): -
- Wendy (9/5): Excellent value for money - The room was nice and large. There was two comfortable chairs in the room which makes a change large shower very powerful but most of all the breakfast was excellent and the evening meal was superb. We had a steak night and it was cooked too perfection with a lovely pepper sauce. The walls are a little thin, but that’s what you get when you have a old building
- Pauline (9/5): Really enjoyed our one night stay , made to feel very welcome - Comfortable rooms , lovely staff, very good breakfast Soundproofing very poor
- Iba (8/5): -
- Matthew (10/5): Had a fantastic day the staff was super friendly and welcoming. The room was large and very clean and the food was delic -
- Peter (9/5): -
- Natasha (9/5): Lovely staff, great value for money 😃 - The staff were so accommodating. Fabio greeted us and gave us an upgrade to a beautiful large room! The bed was so comfy and room had a lovely large bath. We had a lovely evening in the pub downstairs, Ben was great!
Lots of drinks and dinner. Beautiful little village. Would definitely recommend and will return. Such good value for money 😊 Coffee machine didn't work well in the bedroom and we couldn't get the overhead shower to work (to be fair to them we didnt ask), however the bath was lovely and big and there was another shower head.
- Eva (9/5): A tranquil stay with dogs whilst they need medical treatment near by - We stayed in our favourite suite with entry through the back beer garden. Ideal when travelling with 🦮🦮dogs. There even is a privat veranda to sit out. Dog beds and treats for the fury friends …👌👍 My daughter arrived later, on Tuesday evening.
As she wanted to sit and have a drink with her friend, waiting for him to be picked up, the “Swan”-bar had closed an hour early. (It was apparently dead for the past couple of hours) Nothing they could do, but to go next door to the “Crown” to sit in comfort and warm. We were told, this wasn’t really unusual for the “Swan”, the bar would shut early occasionally!
I don’t think that is right, when you have guests staying over at the Inn. 😤😩🤔🫤.
- clare (9/5): Great place to stay and a very warm welcome. - Beautiful old building, lovely decor, great shower. Bed too soft for me but that’s a personal preference.
- Michael (10/5): - All staff great, Abi and Ben, well done. Loves it. Food and room fab. I’d recommend a trip.
- kevin (10/5): - Everything Nothing not to like
- kevin (10/5): -
- Garry (7/5): Swan ok but could be better - General ambience. Rooms need some attention to detail- taps loose, coffee pods but no machine, screws missing on toilet fixing etc etc. Breakfast undercooked.
- Michael (10/5): Very enjoyable, lovely atmosphere in this very old traditional pub, friendly and efficient staff - The room was quite large, and nicely laid out, with a nice big comfortable bed.
The evening meal was excellent, not too long to wait, the service excellent.
Breakfast too was good, big choice, and everything you need to start the day The TV wasn't so good, TV signal weak, the wifi connection too, so not much viewing possible, but not a big problem.
Dangerous crossing the road from the car park, being on a blind bend and quite busy traffic
- Panajiotis (10/5): -
- Kathleen (10/5): -
- Elaine (10/5): - Location, cleanliness, lovely spacious room, delicious breakfast, friendly staff, great service
- The Leaches (8/5): great place to stay in a lovely location - Excellent breakfast
Room had a couple of issues which we reported Service at dinner was a little slow, staff didn't seem to gel together as a team however the food was very good
- Tim (8/5): - Very accommodating staff. Open all day
- Kate (8/5): Comfortable stay. - We had arrange for late arrival and arrived at 6.30pm as they were busy my friend and I were offered drinks before we could check in. We had requested a twin room but when we were taken to the room it was made up as a large double. At first they offered to remake the bed whilst we had our evening meal but as they were busy offered us another room free of charge. We were very happy with the way they delt with their mistake but it would have been good if our request for a twin room had been met in the first place.
- Roy (10/5): Delighted with the room upgrade! Thank you! -
- António (8/5): -
- Heidi (7/5): Beautiful village, property and friendly staff - Really good breakfast Shower -water was cold
- brett (10/5): Comfy, freindly and super clean .. we will be back , a real gem , food amazing , super clean and wa and friendly - The pictures don’t do it justice, such a lovely and warm place to stay Nothing
- Mark (7/5): -
- Penny (10/5): Wonderful stay, lovely room, delicious food, great staff. - The Swan is situated in a beautiful Surrey village.
- Susan (9/5): -
- Traditional Verandah (9/5): 3rd stay in last few months and will be back again - Stayed in lovely family rooms this time - excellent accommodation, friendly staff, everything was A1.
- Christine (10/5): The Swan Inn exceeded all expectations - excellent in all aspects of my stay - The Swan Inn is in an excellent location with ample car parking. My room was spacious, spotless and very comfortable. The staff were all very professional but friendly, and all were highly efficient. I ate lunch, dinner and breakfast at The Swan Inn, all meals were of exceptional quality and very reasonably priced. Nothing at all - it was all fab!
- Girvydas (10/5): -
- Sarah (9/5): -
- Lene (10/5): Absolutely fantastic - Cosy, authentic and charming Nothing
- Lucy (9/5): - Warm and welcoming gastropub with exceptionally great staff and a terrific breakfast.
- Steve (10/5): -
- Ami (10/5): Incredible place to stay for a few nights away - Gorgeous property! Nothing, was absolutely amazing. From the room, to the service to the food in the pub.
- Emily (9/5): Lovely bed & breakfast option for family - Lovely room, the sofa bed fine for our young children but wouldn’t recommend for older kids or adults. Nice to have split level family room and balcony would be good option in warmer months, potentially a bit noisy when beer garden open. We had a lovely evening meal and breakfast had plenty of choice. Corridor doors quite noisy when people coming in and out and could be better soundproofing between rooms.
- Nicholas (9/5): - Staff: friendly & helpful.
Parking: easy, free.
Breakfast (included in the room-rate): full English, cooked not just warmed up. I merely suggest some improvements to Room 2:--
A. For a double room, one chair insufficient for the clothes of 2 guests.
B. Shelves above the wash-basin (there is ample wall space to fix them) are needed for the toilet-bags of the 2 guests, not just a wooden stool at knee height next to the WC !
- Maria (9/5): Really enjoyed the stay, lovely place - Breakfast was excellent! 5 star! Room not very clean, lots of toothpaste on the sink cupboards
- Laura (8/5): -
- Peter James (10/5): Staying one night for work with college, for supplier visit in Godalming. - Room furnished to very high standard, in décor in keeping with the period property. Neutral relaxing colours Bed very comfortable and shower excellent.
Full Swan Breakfast included, but if visiting and not staying, excellent value, with high quality local produce at a good price. Prepared to perfection. Good vegetarian options if required.
Food in the restaurant excellent quality and good value, not cheep, but quality of the produce and cooking skill used is top notch, well worth the money. Good selection of drinks and local beers at good price for location.
Cleanliness is impeccable, could not recommend high enough if visiting any areas local to the Inn. If in this geographical location again will definitely be using, if I can get in! Nothing could not improve, all the staff, rooms etc were excellent and well maintained.
If you could give bonus points for price quality and service I would.
- Lindsay (7/5): - What a lovely place to stay.
