- 388britl (2/5): BEDBUGS! Stay at your own risk - Very disappointing experience. Within 30 minutes of checking into my room, I found bedbugs in the bedding — clearly visible and documented on video and photos. I reported it immediately and left the hotel that same night, driving hours home rather than staying any longer. What’s most concerning is the response that followed. Despite being shown evidence at the front desk and having my own documentation, I was later told that a third-party inspection found no bedbugs or activity. That does not reflect what I experienced or what was documented in real time. I understand that issues can happen in hospitality. However, being told that nothing was found after a documented experience like this raises serious concerns about how situations like this are identified and addressed. For me, this goes beyond a single stay — it impacts my trust in how this property, and potentially others within the brand, handle issues that directly affect guest safety and peace of mind. Sharing so others can make an informed decision.

- David (6/5): Good hotel, but not for light sleepers - Smart rooms on the large side. A garbage lorry comes between 3-4pm at the back of the hotel. It has a loud reverse alarm and woke me up 3 out of 4 nights. On another night a fire alarm went off at 11pm and we were all evacuated.

- Doyle (10/5): Fabulous experience, Starbucks within the hotel as well, and the staff accommodated me with special request. - The staff at the front desk and even the housekeeping staff were very pleasant, diligent and accommodating throughout my day. There was nothing I didn't like about the property.

- Zofia (9/5): - Everythign was great. Comfy beds, location very close to the bus station do Manhattan (20-30min). We've had breakfast once - it was "ok" but nothing special. Definetely the "original pancake house" 5mins walk was better for breakfast. There was mexican restaurant nearby - definetely to recommend. Thin walls, we've heard many noises from rooms around/above.

- Alana (8/5): Fantastic hotel in New Jersey ! - Lovely hotel, really nice and spacious. Staff were fantastic and helpful. Clean and great facilities! The location was a little bit tricky to get into central New York. You had to catch a bus which was a little bit confusing at first (although the staff helped us) once we worked it out it was great!

It was a decent breakfast we were just disappointed we had to pay for it. We've always experienced a free breakfast with the hotel stay. As mentioned above we didnt like being charged for breakfast or for parking.

- williamkV7364XB (2/5): Terrible Business Model, no customer service - Had a reservation booked but due to an ice/snow storm, one where they were saying to stay off of the roads. i could not make it. Hotels.com said they understood and would give me a one time exemption due to mother nature, they called the hotel, the manager at the desk said no one, no expentions. Marriott wanted me to frive my family thru an ice storm, that is the time of busines they are. Never staying at a Marriott again.

- Maggie (10/5): Somethings are not what they show. Sadness - I loved the location and the room. The accessibility to stores, and dood a la carte was really pleasant. The staff was very attentive to out needs at all times. I was displeased with the pool. I tend to book locations where there are pools that allow me to enjoy lap swimming. The pool at this location was definitely not made fir this. It was more for wading. This would be the only deterrent for me to book another stay. It was misrepresented. It is the little things that count

Easy access to the ferry to New York. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable, and they have their own restaurant, with convenient access to a variety of other restaurants and food outlets.

- Omer Lutfi (3/5): - Unfortunately, Courtyard by Marriott Edgewater NYC Area did not fulfill this promise during my stay. Instead of feeling welcomed with flexibility, I experienced the opposite: my clear request for a twin room was ignored, communication was delayed and ineffective, and when the issue arose, the staff showed little willingness to solve the problem. Rather than offering a genuine solution, the only option suggested was to pay for an additional room. The approach felt rigid, indifferent, and far from the brand’s promise of empowering guests with inviting and flexible spaces.
