• errol (8/5): Great location, clean, quiet, and friendly staff. - Location is fantastic for our business needs. Off the major highways, so it's pretty quiet. You get a decent, uninterrupted sleep. A toaster would be nice, but I think there's concerns with the fire alarms, which is understandable. Some photo's show a microwave, but our room didn't have one.
• Heman (7/5): Ok - Location I wanted to extend my stay for few more days. Process at the point(hotel)was shit. Staff told me that there are no beds available. However, I rebookd it through booking .com to my surprise THE ROOMS WERE AVAILABLE. I had to check out and check in again. And I was forced to look for other options around from my busy schedule. There seems to be a glitch in the system needs to be rectified or the staff are stupid—in both ways it’s a loss to business. Put some charging ports around the beds and place a microwave in the room.

• Anthony W (10/5): Happy to stay again. - Staff were exceptional, very helpful and easy to talk too, always with a smile, rare these days. Food was delicious and affordable, plenty to choose from. Accommodation was clean and comfortable, had everything we needed and was an excellent price. Unfortunately most venues have to still cater for the few who still smoke, the smell sneaks into the sports bar which can be off putting. Same happens everywhere the have dedicated smoke areas. I'm sure staff hate it too. Ban smoking all together I say.

A little sweet Easter present was kept while I was back in the room for my kid, which was the sweetest gesture by the staff. Everything was lovely! No complaints at all!

Located in the establishment of the bar with a large kitchen area with a good menu. Easy late check out too. Leaving

• Kim (2/5): The only thing this place has going for it are the staff. - The staff were great - very friendly and accommodating. 1. No locks on the inside of the door - particularly after being informed that the area was renowned for criminal activity and being placed in a room surrounded by cameras for "security". 2. Black mold all over the bathroom ceiling. Bathroom door half rotted away. 3. BULLET HOLES all over the ceiling - some poorly patched, others not at all 4. The "king bed" was the typical hotel style two single beds pushed together - BUT there was no bridging or straps to hold it together so I fell between the two beds in the middle of the night. 5. No sound dampening in the room, train horn til very late hours and hearing the neighbors slamming their car door and hotel room door all night.

Nothing we liked everything, we would stay there again next time we are driving to Melbourne.

Our bathroom globe went out and once we contacted front desk, Donna not only ensured it was replaced promptly given it was a weekend but as we'd gone without light the night before, we were treated to barista coffees the next morning and a $50 meal voucher. Good location and accessible. The amazing customer service trumps everything! While the room was clean, the shower area could have done with a more thorough clean.

• T1761TEpaulinep (10/5): from perth - Whenever we need to stay in Melbourne for a night or two, Glengala Hotel is the place to be! It’s central, close to Sunshine station and main roads, yet within a quiet neighbourhood. Parking is plenty and always appeared safe. On all occasions we stayed here, we would always come to a clean room, and the beds are very comfortable. Complimentary toiletries, bottled water, coffee and tea bags are more than enough for your needs. Such an absolute value for your money.
