• Emmanuel (10/5): Splendide malgré l’arbre gênant !! - Une pépite ! Ne vous fiez pas aux atours maléfiques ni à la décoration ensorcelante de cette demeure ! Derrière cette apparence trompeuse se cache un écrin de sérénité et l’expérience inoubliable d’une vie en communauté épanouissante et mystique (amis amishs ou voyageurs en quête de retraite spirituelle, vous serez ravis !). Cachan est une ville full ZAN avec de nombreux buissons pour se laver les mains et vous pouvez profiter des roses du dimanche, non loin des lieux. Manque simplement des PONY-PONY. Nos hôtes ont été d’une discrétion, d’une amabilité et d’une bienveillance à faire pâlir n’importe quelle intelligence artificielle : tout était parfait, et le petit déjeuner fancy. Les espaces communs sont fonctionnels et l’instant cuisine constitue une occasion sympathique de faire des rencontres et d’échanger des conseils de marmiton. Il y a du judo-do pour les nin-ja-ja discrets qui veulent pas se finir à la po-poliakov mais attention à lumière (c’est automatique). La terrasse (sans voisinous ❤️❤️) offre le tout Paris comme horizon. Et vous vous surprendrez à vous attacher (mais pas trop) à l’arbre gênant qui vous fera redécouvrir les illuminations de la Tour Eiffel. La chambre est de qualité (le gaze de coton aurait été un petit plus) et parfaite pour vivre en samoureux le jour levé (prenez votre masque) ! Sensations fortes et souvenirs précieux garantis ! It was very clean, had private parking and within driving distance to down town Paris. Our host were extremely accommodating as our ETA kept changing due to traffic coming from Belgium. The family suite was perfect. There was plenty of room and beds for everyone to sleep. It had an nice size bathroom and a kitchenette. I was very happy with our stay and will happily book again next time I am in Paris. To top off our stay, we had a lovely and delicious breakfast provided by our host. No issues

• Jennifer (10/5): - Madison du Coteau could not have been more accommodating for our family. Our unit was roomy, well appointed, and clean, and even included a fully equipped kitchen. John and his staff were thoughtful and helpful hosts, and really anticipated everything we might need, including an umbrella for unseasonably wet weather! Breakfast is delightfully presented and cooked to order to meet dietary preferences. The location in Cachan is very convenient, with multiple eatery options a short walk down the hill. We highly recommend the Japanese restaurant and while we were too late to get into the African restaurant, it was clearly very popular! There is also a lively bar in the Oval. There are bakeries and a very well stocked supermarket in the small downtown area. Access to Paris is via RER line B. The station is a 15 minute walk through town. Trains are very frequent, and take you to Notre Dame-Saint Michel in 15 mins. Recommend Maison du Coteau without hesitation 💗
• AK (4/5): - Everything about la maison du coteau looks and feels cheap. From the entrance gate to the rooms to bathroom and even breakfast. The room that we stayed in was depressing and had no window no ac but fans and one of the fan's cover was held together by tape. It was a small fan and doesn't cover the upper and lower bunk. There was mosquito in the room. The bathroom fitting is very old and the toilet paper is coarse and the soap/body wash provided was of the worst quality. There was only one trashcan in the bathroom and the cover underneath the door was coming off. Although housekeeping supposed to be everyday after reaching there we came to know it will be every 2 days but then still we did not see our stuff replenished, toilet tissue, soap etc. Had to ask for it. The only small non functional trashcan in the room overflowed and no one came to pick up the trash .. had to take the trash to downstairs by ourselves. The breakfast was the same boring thing everyday croissant some hard bread and orange juice. There was fruit but very small portion not enough for one person let alone for the whole family. There was laundry in the property but had to pay 10 euro for each load of laundry. The b&b is on top of hilly area and going to store/come back on upslope is very tiring especially after all those walkings in Paris. I wouldn't recommend people staying in la maison du coteau based on the comfort and quality of service provided.

Got attacked at 1:30 am by a group of them and tried to reach out to the front desk/gm the whole night without success unfortunately. No AC so very hot if you keep the windows closed. • Brinkb (10/5): Comfortable, clean, quiet and cozy - This place is great. We thoroughly enjoyed chatting with the host of this place, a very kind and friendly man (who speaks excellent English). In terms of location, it was nice too: it's a bit of a trek from the metro station (ca. 20-25 mins walk, the last part a bit uphill) but the trade-off is a beautiful view, plus peace and quiet. We felt like we were in the countryside, although we were really close to Paris (ca. 15-20 mins to the center, by metro) The room was small but comfortable, and everything was super clean. Breakfast was cozy and tasty, set on little tables downstairs at a time we preferred. Finally, there's a nice little backyard we were allowed to make use of. Wonderful to sit there at the end of the day! Honestly, there was nothing that bothered us. It was a bit warm in our room, but that's not the fault of this b&b. It's just summer! Plus, we had a fan, so it was doable.

Breakfast was awesome every morning, with a variety of pastries, breads, cheeses, marmalades, etc. The location is a bit far from the center of Paris, so this could be a problem depending on your needs. We spent a lot of money on Uber to get to Paris for sightseeing and then to get to Charles de Gaulle Airport

It is like the French countryside - just outside of Paris. Everytime we walked in through the gate, a calm atmosphere surrounded us and at all times we felt more than welcome - more like friends of the house than hotelguests. And yes, the breakfast is really fantastic. Nothing.

If you are walking, the acess from the closest metro station is an excellent cardio workout (good to burn out all the calories from croissants and cheeses, but not easy if you are carrying luggage 😅).

RER station is about 10 minutes by walk (down the hill), supermarket and fast food or restaurat is about 5 min by walk. During 10 or 15 min you are in the center of Paris by RER. Breakfasts are big, tasty, you can talk to personal what you prefer and the time of the meal you prefer. You can use fridge, cook in a kitchen. People were so nice and helpfull, thank you very much for your hospitality and hope to see you sometimes next time. Sometimes there was a weak wifi signal at our room.

• MR SYLVAIN CHEVALLIER (8/5): Séjour mitigé - Accueil très agréable. Nous avons été un peu surpris du côté plus maisin d’hote qu’hôtel. Les commentaires indiquent une belle vue sur Paris. Peut être mais nous avons eu une chambre avec 2 lucarnes. Donc pas de vue. Une des raisons de mon choix était qu’il y avait un parking. Dommage qu’il ait été plein lors de notre arrivée nocturne du deuxième soir. Nous avons dû nous garer à 300 m. Sinon petit déjeuner très bien et bonne literie. Pas de tv dans la chambre.

There was an odd smell that permeated throughout the house but it wasn't offensive, just..odd. The closest RER was a good 15 to 20 minute walk so NOT near any metro stations as indicated on ORBITZ. Breakfast was fresh and quite good. Solid two stars.

• Clare (10/5): Excellent family hotel - The B&B is located a couple of miles outside of Paris. We chose it as it is one of the few hotels that offers car parking, as we were travelling around France. The metro into Paris is about 15mins walk from the property through the town (which has several grocery shops and restaurants).The property is spacious and includes gardens with outdoor seating, a very large communal lounge with TV, a kitchen and dining area that guests are allowed to use. Each guest is given a place to store food and their own fridge - which was very welcome as we had been self catering and had a few items to store. We stayed in the family room - a double room for the adults, a separate room with bunk beds for the kids, a small corridor, and a bathroom with shower. This room was much nicer and more spacious than the photos suggest. Finally, the host was fantastic, he was very friendly and did everything he could to make us feel welcome. For us this was a perfect place to stay to enjoy a day trip to Paris.
• Royster (8/5): Stop over en route to Spain - Deceptively large property, with nice roof terrace. Breakfast was a unique experience (but not a bad one) of self service - making your own stuff.
• Caitlyn (10/5): Beautiful and cozy! - Our stay was wonderful! It was a unique and cozy feel to it. We were served fresh bread, coffee and fruits in the morning. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a pleasant stay just a few miles outside of the city center.
