• Amy (8/5): - Pros - It was nice to have a house for the family. The house we had was nice, clean, private pool, gated, close to a Wal-Mart for easy shopping and a tv in all rooms. Cons - I was guaranteed a house with in 15 miles of Disney and we were 21 miles out. Not a big deal if I didn't have young kids and that the fact it was guaranteed to be 15 miles and no further. Also, the house we stayed at would not let you turn down the A/C past 75 degrees and had a ceiling fan in the master bedroom and living room only. It made for hot sleeping.

• Brenda (4/5): - We had a late check in and the door code with address was e-mailed to us. The house was very dirty. (hair in the towels, dirty silverware, old stained pillows, inside kitchen cabinets and drawers were filthy) Pool was to cold to swim in so we called to have it heated at a minimum of 7 days and $300 immediate charge to my credit card. They said it would take up to 24 hours to heat so we were willing to wait. 24 hours later the lady that takes care of the property stopped by unannounced, scared the crap out of me while I was in the backyard. I asked her about the pool heat and she looked at me with a confused look as to why no one had come to turn the heat on.The next day we drove to the welcome center to find out what happened. (20 min.) Would rather had been doing my own thing on my own vacation instead of skirting around trying to find out what happened to the pool heat we were promised and paid for. Kevin at the welcome center was less that welcoming to say the least. He told us that he would have to stop by the property were staying at and check the pool temp for himself before he could give us our refund. Kevin also lied about where to purchase theme park tickets. He said I would purchase them at the theme park. Come to find out we could've gotten them from a discount stand for 1/2 the price. After the vacation was done I have FINALLY received my refunds for the pool and a $100 credit for the home rental since it was so dirty. NEVER again will I stay with Emerald America
• Verified traveler (10/5): - The home was well-furnished, clean and quite lovely. The rooms were spacious. The garage was equipped with a pool table, which was a lovely surprise. Overall, the house exceeded my expectations.
• Verified traveler (4/5): - My daughter enjoyed the foosball table in the garage, however, i was unavle to switch the board to the pool table. Also, the grill was locked up so I was unable to bar-b-que. There were roaches in the garage, the knives were dirty and the there was only one roll of toilet paper. The house was nice and big enough for the two of us, my daughter an myself, but there was not cable in any of the rooms besides the main living room and that t.v. was difficult to function due to the remotes not working properly, my pillows in the master bed stunk like sweat, the stove went out on the second day and was not fixed. Also, I had questions about the hot tub I thought was included but had no reply on it. Last but not least, after the first day of arrival I'm sure someone went into the house for whatever reason without notifying me and the thermostat never made it above 63 which made the time spent indoors very cold and unpleasing. Overall, I will not be using this property again.

The house was big, clean, pretty, well dotated, very comfortable. I dont complain for the house, i just thought it was in kissimmee, on the contrary, it was very far and secluded area. Next time please inform rifght location of the property

• Verified traveler (6/5): HORRIBLE LOCATION AND HIDDEN FEES!!! - If you are looking for a place to stay and enjoy the different parks of Disney, do not pick this hotel. The home that was assigned to us was approximately 45 mins away from the parks and have to deal with heavy traffic. The home was located far south and requires you to take the I-4 which is completely ridiculous with traffic. The agency has extremely high fees that are hidden deep in the details so look for those extra charges. Also, you are responsible for putting out and bringing the trash bins in by a specific time which are during the hours you would spend at Disney. If you don't you will be charged a crazy fine. If you want a weekend away to just hang out on the couch and watch TV without visiting the parks with the family....this is the spot for you. They also don't provide any items so you will need to head up to Walmart to buy trash bags and etc.

• Jason (10/5): Great Home. Great Price. No Hassel. - Took a chance and booked this home when we went to Disney. Got there after the office closed, so all we had to do was retrieve our envelope with the address and code to get in. No problems, no delays talking to someone to check in. House was clean and as advertised. Even had a game room in the garage. Pool was clean. Nothing fancy, but it worked well for us and Emerald has the house rental thing down pretty smooth.

• T (2/5): Rental House Near Orlando - First of all, I received NO email with the afterhours code for directions to my rental. After traveling by myself with a 3 and 5 year old for 10+ hours, I had to make a call into your emergency line to obtain a code to get the information that I needed to get into the rental. Upon arrival (after 8:30 PM, again with two small children) I found the house dirty and not in acceptable condition. The disposal for the sink did not work, the microwave did not work, there were no lights out on the patio by the pool or the pool lights that worked, so swimming at night was out (even though we paid for pool heat so we could swim at night as well), the pool deck had garbage on it and many worms at the bottom of the pool. The lights for the outside on the garage did not work, which is dangerous to not have lights on for returning guests at night. There were instructions on the kitchen counter for garbage pickup that clearly state to put the garbage cans out on Sunday night for Monday pickup. Garbage pickup is actually on Fridays. The garbage container was almost full when I arrived at the house and therefore I could not fit all of our garbage into the can for garbage pickup. There was mold in the shower on the walls and floor. The rugs had gross stains on them, the cabinets were literally falling apart, there was food on the placemats on the table, there was food on the hot plates. I had to go purchase cleaning supplies and clean the mold in the shower and the house myself.
• Verified traveler (6/5): House not far from Disney and other attractions - The house was average at best. The mattresses were very old and hard. The living room furniture was very worn. Got a great deal on the rate and was better than a hotel. Swimming pool was a big plus.
• Verified traveler (8/5): - The villa was beautiful! It was well worth what we paid. While it was a good distance from the parks, it wasn't to bad. The neighborhood was nice and quiet. The villa needs a little TLC (corners/walls scuffed, mattresses were bad- too soft/hard), We stayed for a week but there was no extra rolls of toilet paper, dishwashing deg,, or wash clothes in the bathrooms. We had to go buy these things, that was a bit of a irritation. Overall it was a wonderful place and we will use Emerald again.
• Verified traveler (8/5): Within 25 minutes of Disney Parks - We were slightly disappointed that the pool looked dirty on the floor and walls, no hot tub. Tv was not functioning properly upon arrival, AC set at 76, outside temp was above 90, we certainly needed that to be significantly cooler, even 72 would have been nice. Over all the house was ok, mattresses made noises when rolling over or sitting down, disrupting sleep. Washer and dryer great, lots of towels and etc. Right around the corner from Wal-Mart and lots of food places. Location was really good. Not too far from the Disney Parks, traffic really slow from parks till about 2 exits from the Haines City exit. Not the homeowners fault. Close enough to be worth while. Vertical blinds at the pool patio door, kept falling down and may need to be replaced.

• Steve (4/5): Close to 192 but disappointing pool home. - So we needed a place to stay in Orlando for 6 nights following a cruise and we'd rented pool homes before as part of a package and always been impressed by the size and facilities etc. This time I used Expedia to book and Emerald America as the supplier. I believe they tried to call me beforehand to go over the booking but being on a cruise they couldn't get through. There was no office address supplied on the booking but luckily I found it from previous visits to the area. Directions were okay but on pulling up we noticed the villa was is decidedly worse condition that the neighbouring ones. Weeds growing up from cracks in the driveway, cracks in the render on the outside, garden not well kept etc. Inside only the downstairs was usable as upstairs rooms were locked. Kitchen and bathrooms were very old and tired and not well maintained. Dining chairs broken. Cutlery and dishes were dirty. Exposed carpet edging at bathroom door painful to step on with bare feet on exposed nails. Games in garage useless. No surface to pool table and air hockey didn't work. Sofa in there was filthy. Pool was dirty insect cover ripped in many places. Main bedroom was large and bed was comfy. It was okay as a place to crash but that's really all. Certainly not a superior villa in any respect. We noticed it was for sale on line approx $50k less than equal homes so the owners were obviously desperate for a sale. I wouldn't use Emerald America again.
• Bobby Jr (10/5): Great Vacation - My family was very pleased with the house. It was clean. Everything we needed was available. The parks were a short drive away. We will most definitely be using Pool Homes by Emerald America again in the future.
• Katie (8/5): Pleasant Surprise - Had booked a 3 room pool house and to our surprise, received a 5 bedroom pool house! We arrived after the check-in hours, so our information was located in a lock box outside the office which is very convenient. The house was very spacious and supplied books and board games for guests to use. I just wish we had more time to spend there!
• Verified traveler (2/5): TERRIBLE EXPERINCE - Overall, terrible experience. Had to wait 3 extra hours than we were suppose to for the house even to be ready, then the gate code they gave us didn't work. Once we got into the house the pool was green, and the air wouldn't go below 72. After 3 nights of being in the house, someone broke into the house, and stole personal items. Once I called management about it, Kevin, told me I was being emotional about it all and no one had came into the house. About 30 min later Kevin called back and told me the property inspector had came in the house without telling us. Not only did the company conform that someone had been inside the house without permission, but they wouldn't do anything to stop the fact that items had gone missing. I asked for a ONE night refund and he also told me I was being materialistic. I wish I could be making this stuff up right now. There was also not a key to the house, only a door code. The only thing they did about the situation, was change the door code. Absolutely will NEVER recommend staying with this company ever again. If you want to secure your items, just stay at a hotel. Beds were old, house smelt bad, and community wasn't as nice as the comments made it seem. Save your time and energy and book a hotel. The manager over Kevin was also suppose to call us regards to the whole situation, and never did. Worst experience I've ever had booking with Hotels.com

• Verified traveler (10/5): Beautiful home, nice, large. clean - The Emerald home was amazing. It was big and open, modern, and clean. It was fully furnished with towels, dishes, and bedding. The pool was immaculate and the hot tub was amazing. We were very happy with how things were set up. Getting access to the home was easy and convenient, even though we checking in after hours. The staff were helpful and pleasant.
• Aimee (6/5): 4 bedroom home with private pool - Definite pros and cons to this place. The staff that checked us in were great, the look and feel of the house and pool were great, also. However, there were a few shortcomings. While the double and queen mattresses were very comfy, the twins were terrible. There were dead ant remnants along the patio door, and ants meandering through out the place, eventhough it was treated part way through our stay. Dishes were stuck together, some plates had pools of murky water in them. A few things we were not aware of was that we needed to provide our own tissue, tp, dish soap, etc. The biggest disappointment was being told it was $40 PER DAY for the pool and hot tub to be heated! I did not see this in the fine print! Also, Be Aware of more fine print fees! I skimmed through and missed the $95 cleaning and $70 "destination" fee, that are separate from the expedia fees. Ultimately, it cost way more to stay there than what we budgeted for.
• Jesus (2/5): not what offered - not enough cookware, not enough beds as offered, not enough bedrooms, really bad mattresses, could not sleep, made back pain, any cleaning tools no broom, dryer not working, the fire alarm started a tremendous noise at the middle of the night because the battery was running off, we had to go buy a new one to be able to sleep. The house was not as near to the parks as they advertised, it was really far away from Disney parks. It was a really bad experience, we had rented for 25 days and they were the worse 25 days of aour lives without been able to sleep. We do not recomend this horrible house.

• Verified traveler (8/5): 4 bedroom pool home with very cold pool - This was a bare-minimum 4 bedroom pool home. We did find 1. A half eaten peanut butter sandwich in a baggie hidden in the closet. 2. A muffin pan that was dirty and put back under the stove/storage. 3. Uncomfortable beds. 4. a Very cold pool. 5. Dirty floors Overall..a good choice versus a hotel. The price was outstanding for the space.

Left a message for the property management about smoke alarm needing new batteries and didn't receive a call back. The location within a gated community was very nice for the overall cost. The community center has many amenities.
• nice pool (6/5): Decent but inconvenient - Quiet neighborhood, clean pool but the inside had issues that ranged from not enough seating to 3ft of mold on and along the baseboard. First was the garbage disposal leak, which had to wait 2 days to get looked at because of the holiday and 2 days to get fixed. Found the mold because there was not enough seating for the 6 of us to sit comfortable while relaxing. There was a love seat and a regular couch in 2 separate rooms, so we moved one to the other room and that is when we found the mold(couches were stained) . Microwave never worked, even after they said it was fixed. One of the jet's on the jacuzzi didn't work along with a light and told they were not suppose to work. The toilet seats were loose, fans and washer machine were noisy. Beds were like sleeping on a well padded floor (very stiff) . The location was near convenient every day needs but not entertainment we were looking for which was found 30 to 45 minutes away.

• Sarah (6/5): Worst Bed I have ever slept in - Loved the pool, the house, the neighborhood however the beds were HORRIBLE! I feel like they found the cheapest mates from the trash and put them in there. Everything else was great. It was clean and nice.
• Wanda (6/5): Noisy neighbors! - House was next door to noisy people. They were coming and going all time of the night! TV in one room didn't work. Tub in one bathroom was clogged up!

• Verified traveler (4/5): Dated and dirty - Villa hasn't been updated for probably 20, or more years and is now cleaner leaving, than when we first arrived. No mention of pool being an extra $40 per day to heat!!!!! If you do pay it, it shuts off when the temp drops in the evenings and then has to wait over a day to heat up. The front door has marks on it where someone has tried to gain entry, then the side panel has been completely replaced, where I can only assume it has been kicked in.

• Bernard (6/5): place is okay - The place is okay. Having the pool is fun, but was a little dirty with sand. WiFi is a good thing. If you are just sleeping and not staying at home all the time its a good place, but if you want to stay there mostly of the time in the house, just need some cleaning and make it more cozy.

• mojo (6/5): pool homes by Emerald America - i opted for a superior home after reading reviews ,very glad i did because the superior was ok nothing special very run down and in desperate need off an overhaul, if you want to pass this of as a superior home . would pay the extra for a villa next time

• Verified traveler (2/5): Pool homes by emerald - Villa was dirty , dead cockroaches in lounge , pool was dirty , previous occupants rubbish left for us to dispose of , pool screen was split in numerous places
• Verified traveler (6/5): - This was the first time I was less than happy with a place I booked. The beds were smaller than expected, uncomfortable and pillows like flat pancakes. There was also no wifi. After complaining 3 days in a row we were moved to a different house around the corner. Much better experience there. More of what I was expecting from the beginning. Maybe the company needs to evaluate their "superior" property's better. Or at least take the first address of that least. At least the vacation ended on a better note and the staff tried everything to make it better.
