hollyd324 (8/5): Comfortable rooms but lots of street noise - Our room was nicely decorated, and it was clean and comfortable. Lionheart's coffee shop was in walking distance, and a grocery store with lots of quick service options was just across the street. Valets were friendly. I got a great sleep the first night, but the second night (Friday night) I was woken up about six times by sirens. Now I know why they have a noise machine and earplugs on the nightstand.

515phil (4/5): Want to pay for a good nights sleep...do not stay here - Greeted very nicely when we checked in for three nights. Room was very clean. We soon discovered why they have a noise machine and earplugs on the bed. Our suite was very noisy. Heard all of the honks and loud noise from outside. And our three year old didn't sleep at all. When we spoke to the manager the next day, she (Jana) had zero compassion that we didn't sleep last night. Offered us another sound machine. When we went back later in the day as we had to meet family, she said she could provide a smaller room with no windows or a larger room on an upper floor for an additional $200 per night. Zero comp for the sleepless room/suite we had checked into. At $400 per night you would expect a good sleep! We would have left and went to another hotel but couldn't find another room close by. Called the manager on our way out and have never heard back.

Some of the furniture in the room was a bit shabby. The drawers stuck and were hard to open. The ironing board cover needed to be replaced because it was shredded. The remote for the TV in our room was missing.

The location is perfect — right in the heart of downtown and an easy walk to restaurants and everything going on in the city. The hotel itself has so much charm. The lobby is cozy and inviting (we loved the fireplace vibe), and the whole space feels stylish but comfortable at the same time. Our room was clean, beautifully decorated, and the bed was incredibly comfortable — always a win! The staff was friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived, which really set the tone for the weekend. It felt personal and relaxed, not stuffy. Overall, it was the perfect spot for a fun Cleveland getaway and celebration for our son’s wedding. We would absolutely stay here again!

The room above us had their toilet overflowing all night and it came down in to our bathroom and I got up at 430 to go to the bathroom and my feet got soaked with someone else's toilet water. They moved us to a double queen room which is not what I paid for or wanted. The whole experience was terrible. And two lamps didn't work in the room either.

Then the front desk staff, especially Jana and Shantee, throughout my stay were wonderful with any help needed. So many hotels to pick from downtown Cleveland, but I always pick the Kimpton if available!

T3459JRtomv (10/5): Clean, Comfortable, Convenient, worth repeating! - We had such a great stay at the Kimpton Schofield Hotel. We arrived on Wednesday, February 4th and departed on Sunday, February 8th. The hotel is very conveniently located on the southwest corner of Euclid Avenue and East 9th Street. The location is perfect. A brisk (It was 17 degrees outside!) 16 minute walk north along East 9th Street took us to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on Thursday. On Friday evening, we walked nine minutes East along Euclid Avenue to the Connor Palace Theater to see Suffs, the musical about the women's suffrage movement in the early 1900s. I highly recommend seeing it! One place we to which we didn't walk was the Cleveland Art Museum but there's a bus stop at the corner of Euclid and East 9th and an all-day senior buss pass is just $2.50! For non-seniors, it's just $5.00. Another highly recommended stop and entrance to the museum is free! Inside the Kimpton Schofield Hotel is a restaurant called Betts. The food is very good and reasonable priced. Their soups are excellent and the breakfast burger is delicious. Everyone who works at the hotel is friendly and professional. Other good places to eat around the hotel are Goma (sushi), Red Steak House, Southern Tier Brewery, and Cordelia. These, and many other restaurants are all on Prospect Avenue East and along East 4th Street. We didn't have time to go but Jack's Casino is also on Prospect if you want to try to win back the cost of your trip.

Marissa and the team were so easy to work with and provided a great discount for our guests. The food was great at Bett's, and the valets were amazing. Our guests loved the wine tastings and morning coffee. Highly recommend if you're looking for a wedding hotel.

The experience begins the moment you step in from the freezing Cleveland streets into the warm, inviting lobby anchored by a stunning 360-degree fireplace with built-in seating nooks. It immediately feels cozy and upscale without being stuffy. The staff consistently provides thoughtful, attentive service. Special requests noted on reservations are taken seriously, and over the years, we've been pleasantly surprised with touches like champagne, snacks, drinks, or breakfast from Betts, and even occasional room upgrades when available. These details make the stay feel personal rather than just transactional. The rooms are spotless and quiet - impressive for a downtown location. We highly recommend the King City View room. Its layout is perfect for couples, featuring his-and-hers vanities separated by a central walk-in shower, a design we loved so much we even used it as inspiration for our own bathroom remodel - though we added his and her showerheads 😳. The beds are comfortable, and the overall decor feels modern, spacious, and warm. Betts, the hotel's restaurant and bar, is fantastic for pre- and post-dinner drinks or brunch. The vibe is energetic yet refined, with friendly service and a clientele that complements the hotel's polished feel. Location is another highlight. You're steps away from Marble Room - a MUST - close to the Theatre District, Progressive Field, and many top dining spots - Cleveland has plenty to choose from. This is the ideal place for that special weekend you've been meaning to plan. In fact, we're already planning one for a birthday weekend in March - and we're bringing friends! What keeps us coming back is how the hotel combines luxury with genuine hospitality. It never feels corporate or impersonal. After several stays, we still feel like valued guests, not just another reservation. We recommend it to everyone and rarely consider staying anywhere else downtown. If the team is reading this, THANK YOU, and keep up the great work! People still matter in 2026; your hospitality proves it.

missys977 (10/5): Happy Bills Fans in Cleveland - I’m an IHG Diamond Elite member and while headed to Cleveland to root for our Buffalo Bills, was thrilled there was a Kimpton in town. We arrived right before game time and Vincent at the valet station was a total angel in helping us! It was super busy and we had forgotten things in the car not once but twice that day and he was swift with his rescue! Lobby was stylish and cozy, rooms are clean and comfortable, and we had a gorgeous city view. We enjoyed dinner at the bar, chatting with other football fans and had the most delicious meals and this insane giant snack cake for dessert! We will definitely stay here in the future.

Everything was fantastic from start to finish. Special shout-out to Marissa Lee in the sales and events office, who was the absolute MVP of the whole process. I’m pretty sure I emailed her about 500 times during the months of planning (from outside of Cleveland), and she was always quick to respond, kind, patient, and on top of every detail. She made coordinating multiple guests, adjoining rooms for child care, early check-ins, endless changes, the after party, and our own suite feel easy. We could not have asked for a better partner throughout the weekend. The hotel itself was perfect for a wedding group. Great rooms, super comfortable beds, and a lobby that naturally became the hangout spot for friends and family. Our suite was ideal for getting ready on the big day, and the team helped us time everything around hair and makeup. The after party at Betts was a huge hit. Perfect spot for everyone to keep the party going after the reception. The entire staff made us and our guests feel welcome and well taken care of all weekend long. Many of the staff stayed late helping close up the after party and we saw them the next morning working the breakfast shift. We appreciated their hard work and hospitality so much. Overall, we had a great experience and are so grateful to the team, especially Marissa, for helping make our wedding weekend special. We will absolutely be back!

Resort39055298068 (10/5): Family and Pet Friendly Thanksgiving Stay - We are actually residents in the condos above the hotel and booked two rooms in the hotel to host family (including a child and two dogs) for Thanksgiving. The booking process was seamless, including our request for two adjoining rooms on a particular floor. Special thanks to Jana and Alicia for making booking and check-in a breeze and for checking in with us regular to ensure everything was taken care of. This is the advantage of a boutique hotel -- personalized service and professionalism. The rooms were modern, clean, and nicely furnished (very comfortable beds, according to our guests). The hotel is very conveniently located in the heart of downtown Cleveland, within walking distance of Playhouse Square, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and several stadiums.

The view was perfect, the hotel was spotless, and the staff was nothing short of amazing- anything anybody needed, they were there!! Our guests who used our block also had great things to say about the Kimpton Schofield. The staff- especially Marissa!- made the experience so personal and we are eternally grateful for their hospitality. ❤️
BostonTraveler79 (8/5): Elevated midrange option in Cleveland - I always appreciate the playful spirit of the Kimpton brand (as well as its pet-friendly policies). The common spaces in this hotel are beautiful and interesting. The hallways and aspects of the rooms themselves feel a bit dated and tired, but maybe that's the trade-off for a building with this kind of historic character. We were upgraded to a room with a walk-in shower and while it was beautiful, it was a little inconvenient - the bathroom is so large that it was a bit drafty while showering. The rooms were clean and quiet. We had a good sleep! Heating and cooling were efficient. The hotel staff are eager to please. We received top-notch service and the hotel breakfast was delicious!

Service, hospitality and really nice rooms lend itself to an upscale experience. Free wine hour and also coffee/tea available in morning in lobby. Breakfast menu is varied if you opt to eat there. "Heinen's" right across the street is worth checking out while you're there. Not having a car was a perk because daily parking is a bit costly. Only drawback is the traffic noise on main street is loud during late night hours. Recommend requesting a room away from hotel front. Otherwise, it's well worth the cost for its location.

anchmer (6/5): Maintenance Issues; Good Downtown Location - We stayed here for 3 nights whilst we explored Cleveland. It was our first Kimpton stay, and we were excited for such a pet-friendly hotel. The positives: Pet friendly, great downtown location. We were able to walk to the Browns game, the Fed, Hall of Fame, and many bars and restaurants. The guys at the valet were also all very friendly, with prompt service. There is free coffee/free in the lobby, and a free Happy Hour each evening from 5-6pm. The negatives: The safe didn’t work in our first room - We were able to switch rooms the next night, which we did appreciate. The rooms overall really need some attention - the showers get water everywhere, our ottoman was ripped, and the room lock cover was missing. We took the advice of other reviewers and asked for a room fan and earplugs. There was a sound machine in our second room, too. The AC does turn off during the night, so it will get stuffy. The only noise we heard was other guests in the hallway late on a Saturday night.

The hotel has that perfect mix of historic charm and modern design, where you can feel the character of the building, but everything is fresh and thoughtfully updated. My room was spotless and beautifully decorated, the staff was warm and welcoming from the moment I arrived, and I loved the complimentary wine hour in the lobby! The location couldn’t be better, either. It's right in the heart of downtown and we were able to walk to our concert venue. Overall, the Kimpton Schofield is a perfect choice whether you’re in town for work or leisure. It’s stylish, comfortable, and full of personality... I’ll definitely be staying here again next time I’m in Cleveland!

Unable to sleep - the HVAC unit is set with a motion sensor meaning that when you get into bed to sleep (whole purpose of a hotel last time I checked) the air turns off. Mind blowing. Miserable night continually getting up to turn air back on, sleeping for a short period then waking up in a sweat. Talked to the front desk about and she explained the motion sensor setup and said she gets complaints constantly. Apparently not enough for management to want their guests to be comfortable.

Steven (8/5): - The hotel was conveniently located near Rocket where we were attending an event. We were able to walk to restaurants, coffee, etc. Our dogs were happily welcomed to the hotel as well. The air conditioner was licked to go no lower than 65* which was not nearly that cool feeling, so that was disappointing. There was also a lot of confusion with dropping off the car with valet and unpacking when we arrived, which was uncomfortable way to start unfortunately.

This wasn’t as good as a standard brand like Fairfield by Marriott. Couldn’t even get a room with a bathtub.

TIMOTHY (8/5): Large room and bathroom in a great location - Clean and very spacious room, large bathroom with two sink areas in a huge shower. The hotel is in agreat location. Wish there was coffee maker in the room. My room had strange windows that were floor to waste height…. shade on the large bathroom window did not work right. One of the pocket doors to the very Spaces bathroom was stuck, off its track.

Lindsay (10/5): - We were very impressed with our stay! Clean and SUPER comfortable bed. I think the thing I was most impressed with was the sound machine that had tons of sounds and a dim light around the bottom. Most hotels we stay at, we completely forget about having any kind of noise to sleep with and this was so great! If you want breakfast you have to pay at the restaurant or buy vouchers ahead of time. Each voucher is good for up to $22.50. Any leftover goes towards a tip. Everything looked clean and up to par and the valet service was exceptional! Check in was a breeze. We would definitely recommend staying here and will stay here again at some point.

Kevin (2/5): - I had the room right over the bar so I had to listen to the loud music until 12 midnight then the windows was so thin that every time somebody came by with the motorcycle and their music blasting on their bikes or in their cars and then the loud noise I asked to be moved, but they said they couldn’t move me

Special shout out to Marissa Lee at Kimpton, who was so responsive and made reserving a hotel block super easy and smooth. She also made our stay so special by adding little touches and gifts. We appreciate you, Marissa! The hotel itself has character and also nice and clean. It's in a very convenient location close to a grocery store, drugstore, and many restaurants. It was ideal for our out-of-town wedding guests!
Patti (6/5): - The hotel is looking a bit worn. The hallway carpet was warped and fraying at the seams, the shower dripped consistently, my towel had a hole in it. We had stayed here before, about a year after opening, no updates have happened in the decade since.

Sherman (6/5): Smelly Cleveland! - It was loud from the traffic to the dumpster being emptied! The bathroom door didn’t work well and we had to force it closed! The hotel is beautiful and located within walking distance to everything. Cleveland its self is going down hill with all the pot smoking going on!
Haille (10/5): Front desk staff are amazing! - This place was wonderful! A huge shoutout to the front desk staff who really made the stay for a wedding in town amazing. They made us all feel seen and like friends, even with FIVE different wedding guest groups staying this weekend.
Stephen (8/5): Great location, lovely hotel. Loud at night. - Great location and a lovely hotel. The room and bathroom was very nice. The free wine was a nice touch and there was a nice area to play games in the evening. The valet was kind enough to suggest a parking lot which was much cheaper because we didn't need access to the car during our stay. The room was right next to extractor fans which was loud at night.

Megan (10/5): Classy but reasonable - Loved the hotel! Seemed very reasonable for being right in downtown Cleveland. Parking was expensive at $52/night, but the valet service was relatively fast. Nearby to lots of ice cream and coffee shops, and the neighborhood felt safe.
