- Dermot (9/5): Good value - The room was lovely and the host was very friendly and the food was excellent N/A
- PAUL (8/5): Clean and friendly -
- Chris (10/5): -
- merryn (6/5): Disappointing - Lovely bathroom and good shower. The bed was small. The room was small. There was no indication the room was outside of the main building up outdoor stairs. The window looked out on to the walkway where other guests walked past. There were no Orla Keily products as advertised. It was very overpriced for a basic room.
- Jane (8/5): -
- douglas (10/5): - Heather was excellent
- Gerry (9/5): Little Hidden Gem 💎 - Everything at the Fenwick was great for our one night stopover before sailing from Heysham... Lovely rooms, cosy country pub atmosphere, food was excellent, with breakfast being the same, for breakfast, just ask for whatever you would like, and it's all freshly cooked... A1+ The exterior needs a tidy, but, don't judge this little gem of a place by it's cover 👍 and some background noise in the pub would be a nice addition
- Ann (10/5): Just perfect for what we wanted. - Lovely room clean and comfortable plus great shower.
Staff very friendly and accommodating.
Bar restaurant and food fab too.
Lovely stay for a wedding near Wennington Hall and not far from Lancaster plus bus stop outside to get to Lancaster if needed.
- Doreen (8/5): One night only here as we were catching boat to Isle of Man the following morning. Very convenient. - Continental breakfast good. Boiled egg. Not really too much more available as we could see, but in fairness we did not ask. This did not matter to us as we are light eaters, especially at breakfast time. Happy with everything.

- Susan (10/5): -
- Derek (10/5): - How accommodating the hotel were and assisted with queries swiftly and helpfully.
- Tracy (7/5): - Bed was comfortable and shower was good
My partner enjoyed the food My pillow cases had a smell of chip fat not sure if laundry had been near kitchen at some point but they were clean.
Tried to charge us for another guests bill on check out luckily we had paid night before so realised this wasn't ours
- SUSAN (9/5): Overnight stay - Comfortable room, lovely shower and fluffy towels .
Enjoyed good evening meal.
- James (9/5): Great hotel not to far from the M6 - Very friendly staff. Excellent dinner - the Fenwick Pie was superb!
- Samantha (10/5): What a wonderful stay we had at the Fenwick. - The rooms are clean, modern and beautifully decorated. The en-suite bathrooms are clean and modern. The food is delicious and the staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Heather and her team get a 10/10 from us. There was nothing I didn’t like about the property. There are stairs to some of the rooms which might be tricky for someone who struggles with mobility but there is a downstairs room available.

- Nicole (9/5): -
- Pamela (9/5): Pleasant, lovely friendly Staff - special mention to Mark who sorted out a Dinner booking for us! - Location - v peaceful area. Outside stairs up to the room, open to the elements! Room was v nice but small, therefore became quite hot even with radiator turned down.
- Sarah (10/5): - Excellent
- Sarah (10/5): - Superb
- Sarah (10/5): - Staff exceptional, welcoming, helpful & Friendly, rooms quality throughout, comfy beds & warm.
- Sue (8/5): Comfortable, clean rooms with good food. - Clean, well decorated room with very good en-suite shower room - bed very comfortable. Breakfast, although not included in the price, was also very good On side of a main road, but windows were well doubled glazed and road only busy at certain times. The exterior of the building does not reflect the higher standard of the interior.
- paul (7/5): - Clean tidy tooms
- Rachel (10/5): Lovely. Would recommend - It’s was a perfect location for us. The room was lovely.
- Jack (8/5): Great one night stay. - Bed was very comfortable and host was very kind and accommodating. Large room with great facilities with tea and coffee. Shower drain was slightly blocked but only a minor point to note.

- Andrew (8/5): - The property was nice and warm. Very good room with good and easy-to-operate shower. One of the party had mobility issues and was accomnodated in an accessible room. We had not notified the property in advance that one of our party needed a dairy-free vegetarian breakfast (lesson learned). The one-off breakfast cost was consequently quite large for what was available for her (the actual cost of the breakfast is not a problem and the items had by the rest of the party were delicious).
- Lawrence (8/5): -
- Lizzie (10/5): - Rooms were homely, the bed was comfortable!
Very welcoming and friendly! N/A

- Amanda (9/5): We did a last minute stop on our long travels. Glad we chose The Fenwick. - We did not have breakfast so can't comment. Evening meal was lovely and very reasonable. Room was comfortable and all lovely decorated. Good shower. We would return. Nothing everything was great.
- David (9/5): - Amazing food and service
- David (8/5): - Food and service is excellent
- Alison (4/5): - Bat start very friendly There was literally no one on the bar and restaurant so the the environment wasn't very comfortable.
- Tanveer (9/5): Fantastic - The old structure of the pub and the facilities Still needs few upgrades
- Elliott (10/5): Very good, helpful staff and clean room - Clean room with lots of privacy Nothing
- David (9/5): -
- Rob (10/5): -
- ANGELA (7/5): Good value for money, pleasant, friendly and helpful staff - We had a Sunday roast evening meal and found the food to be cooked well, tasty and the portions were generous. At breakfast there was a wide variety of cold dishes to choose. We didn't have a cooked breakfast so not able to comment. The noisy road that ran alongside The Fenwick.
- Julia (3/5): Another hotel/pub going down hill - disappointed as previous stay two years ago was much better - Room was small and the door mat inside the door was loose and a trip hazard
Unfortunately didn’t get any sleep due to the large amount of noise generated by the refrigerated unit placed underneath our room window
Pub restaurant could do with having some background music in to create an ambience which is severely lacking
- David (9/5): -
- Fox (9/5): Had a lovely two day break at the Fenwick. - The room and food good ,staff very helpful and friendly.
- Jonnie (7/5): A lovely little hotel, nice and clean with everything you need - We didnt have breakfast as we were checking out early Slightly disappointed with the communication between booking.com and The Fenwick, Booking.com said we can check in at 3pm, we arrived at 3:10pm and the place was all closed, we waited in the car park until 3:55pm until a member of staff turned up and told us they had changed their times and booking.com hadnt changed theirs. To be sat in a car park in the middle of no where wasnt a pleasant experience and had to knock on someones door for my wife to use their toilet to which they couldnt be any more accomodating, even the garden centre down the road said its never shut at 3pm on a Saturday afternoon and all public signs stating food served all day.
- Janet (4/5): Room to hot, food straight from the freezer. No cocktails. -
- abigail (9/5): - truly lovely rooms. fantastic menu at good prices. very helpful and friendly staff. wonderful location. in the morning a lot of noise from housekeeping before 8am. facilities not checked prior to check in. no soap in shower. these things do not take away from the wonderful stay
- j (10/5): -
- Wendy (10/5): - Staff were fabulous, location brilliant! Nothing
- Gosling (10/5): One of the best places we have stayed in this country and abroad definitely coming back - Very clean warm very comfortable excellent food was out of this world so delicious AS FOR THE STAFF FROM MOMENT WE ARRIVED SO ATTENTIVE NOTHING ANY TROUBLE WAS GREETED WITH A BEAUTIFUL SMILE ON EVERY OCCASION WHETHER IT EAS DRINKS OR FOOD ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC SERVICE Had to leave
- David (10/5): -
- John (7/5): Nice clean, well-appointed rooms at a reasonable price. - Room was bright, clean and well appointed with a good shower. The pub appeared to be characterful though very quiet during our visit. Our room was outside the main building up an external staircase and along a gangway exposed to the elements. Although warm and welcoming, the room turned out to be too hot, with poor ventilation. We ended up having to wedge the door open to create some air movement.
- Anna (10/5): Great stay! - Great stay. Good size room. Nice & quiet! Room was so hot!! 🥵
- Anna (10/5): Good location! - Good location. Comfortable bed. Too hot in the room! Service at dinner took a while
- Melanie (10/5): Excellent, comfortable - The staff, are lovely and very friendly. We have stayed serval times and every time it's been an enjoyable stay. Food is delicious, never had a bad meal yet. Heather is a lovely lady and is very good at her job in welcoming her guest and dealing with their needs. I would highly recommend it. There was nothing I didn't like. I can not fault anything.
- David (9/5): -
- Lauren (9/5): A perfect relax with incredible food - Lovely place, staff were kind and friendly. The food in the pub was absolutely superb! We requested a bath which the Fenwick kindly gave us! The roll top bath was just gorgeous! Thank you the Fenwick NA
- Gordon (10/5): Brilliant place to stay - Lovey
Hotel. The staff were so friendly. We wanted to get away from the fireworks on NYE and it was the ideal place. Very dog friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Nothing. Everything was great
- Richard (7/5): Convenient and comfortable stay in a beautiful area of country. - Bathroom and bedrooms were clean and comfortable. Tea/coffee making facilities and good quality towels.
Breakfast seating area was very pleasant. Bed was a bit small. Limited availability of breakfast food, smoked salmon had run out, hot food was unavailable due to chef off sick..
- Lyn (9/5): -
- Sally (8/5): Staff are fabulous and couldn’t have been more helpful. Food was fresh and very tasty Service was excellent - Great location for weddings at Wennington Hall Just a few things need sorting
Taps loose
Bedding and pillows have lost their crispness and look a little tired
- Toye (8/5): Beautiful room - The room.was.spacious and well decorated
- Alex (7/5): Not enough staff working for demand - Good old rustic pub location fairly close to Wennington Hall Staff weren’t the best. Beds not very comfortable. Overpriced for what it was without breakfast included.
- Eliza (6/5): Good for an overnight stop when travelling North - Nice modern rooms, staff great with my allergies We found the beds a bit uncomfortable as a bit hard so didn’t sleep well
- Piers (10/5): Great in all areas - Our stay (me, my partner & dog) was perfect. From the moment we arrived we had the most friendly welcome. Oli our dog was also made very welcome. We were taken to our room which was lovely, with a great bathroom with a shower and separate large bath. We didn’t eat as had eaten before, but went to the bar / restaurant area for a drink where we spoke to the owner and her son, who were both amazing. An amazing stay. I would recommend this hotel to all… N/A
- Sarah (8/5): -
- Clare (9/5): Value for money - Lovely staff - very accommodating
Great food, very clean, reasonably priced. Nowhere to wait prior to check-in., it only opened at check-in which we didn't know prior to arrival.
Bedroom was like a sauna upon entering it for 1st time, heard lots of others say the same thing.
- Colin (10/5): Perfect stop-over on a trip from Pembrokeshire to Perthshire. Will definitely use again. - Very comfortable. Clean and tidy. Friendly staff. Really good evening meals in the bar/restaurant. Nothing to dislike about it.
- Anna (10/5): Comfortable room - Comfortable room & good location Staff thin on the ground so multi tasking!
- Spence (7/5): -
- Hayden (9/5): Very clean and relaxing hotel - Very clean and relaxing Walking up the steps to the rooms outside
- Phil (7/5): Nice stop over location, in need - Good location for our trip. Main building was a Nice old building.
Nice bathroom, good shower.
Only had breakfast muffin, but was good bacon and bread. Staff were pleasant The rooms were outside and’sa little awkward to access, up a fire escape and were like lodges. Wooden, not very sounds proof and a little tired.
Arrived in the dark, and fumbled a little to get in to the room in heavy rain.
Radiators were on full when we arrived, felt like 30c. Overheard other guests saying this too. Turned them off for the test of the stay.
Odd unpleasant smell in the room (damp?) I suspect this is why the radiators are always on full.
