Guest Reviews
- Mauro Giulio (5/5): Mediocre - Vecchia fabbrica trasformata in albergo. Camere originali. Personale molto gentile e disponibile. Il ristorante è aperto solo da giovedì a domenica. Noi eravamo martedì a giovedì quindi niente ristorante e colazione striminzita in camera.

- Chwee (5/5): The stay was below my expectations - It’s clean. Friendly staff. There isn’t any view from the window. I can’t see the waterfalls. I was told by the staff this property is not the one next to the waterfalls.
- Maria (10/5): Very accommodating after finding out about uncleanliness of other rental - Clean and friendly staff Everything was as expected
- Sebastian (8/5): -
- Yuki (10/5): Spacious, Clean & Easy to Reach - Spacious and beautifully located in Beacon, the property is easy to reach via a free bus service from the main station. The room is clean and tastefully decorated — we absolutely loved our stay! Not much
- Gina (7/5): - Property is well maintained and in a great area for town.

- kaetan (10/5): Loved it - Beautiful
- April (9/5): - Great atmosphere Bed a little hard
- Tyla (7/5): nice grounds, beautiful waterfall, good location, but there are better places to stay. - Unfortunately "breakfast included" is not really as advertised so make other plans. The hotel leaves a bag of cold bagels and muffins on your door handle, with butter and cream cheese in the mini fridge. Good luck cutting a bagel with a plastic knife on the tiny square of space to work. It's suitable for a complaining child maybe - enough to hold them over until you go find real breakfast and coffee. We received 2 bottles of water for 4 people. 2 coffee cups as well. No one is around to answer the phone or is present at the front desk for help. There is no lounge or real hotel check in. No place to sit or relax outside of your room.
- Mourzakoi (10/5): - We loved everything! The hotel was amazing, the staff were incredibly friendly, and the Roundhouse restaurant was the best—we went there three times!
- SImon (7/5): Lovely place, good location, bring your own breakfast if you’re gluten free or get a room that doesn’t include their bre - Cool rooms, good location, free parking. Promised gluten free bagel for breakfast and didn’t deliver. Wasn’t clear that breakfast was a few things in the fridge and a bagel in a bag hung from your door in the morning when booking. They couldn’t provide the requested bagel and replaced it with another yoghurt and juice which wasn’t an acceptable alternative. Had to go and buy breakfast when I had technically paid for it as part of my booking. Poor treatment for gluten free people tbh.
- Alexander (9/5): - Well maintained facility, courteous staff. Great breakfast Muffins There are multiple buildings on the site. Signage to find the lobby was a bit confusing.
- Kaori (8/5): -
- Ikenna (9/5): - Breakfast was decent, we got juice with bagels
- Sandy (9/5): Very comfortable and love creative continental breakfast delivery! - Great location to the center of the town shops and beautiful waterfall. Thin walls and could hear the next door resident.
- Emily (9/5): Fantastic. Perfect for a getaway weekend! - Perfect location if you plan on walking along Main Street to shop, eat, etc. The staff were helpful and friendly. I loved that continental breakfast was delivered to the room each day; no trying to get to the dinning room before breakfast is over. I didn't love the design of the shower, where it's half a glass wall and the rest is open. I'm sure this is fine in the summer, but in January it was chilly! The heater in our room was also loud.
- Pamela (8/5): Best Location in Beacon - The location can't be beat for strolling around Main Street, etc. The room we had (312, building where the lobby is) is rustic-looking, beautiful, and roomy. We appreciated the bathrobes, the nice toiletries, and the quiet area at night for sleeping. Def need more plug outlets in the room. This is an issue the hotel should address. 1 side of the bed had zero outlets to access for recharging phone or plugging in anything. The desk also lacked ways to recharge or plug in things unless you got down under the desk on the floor.
Breakfast: Though we loved having breakfast delivered to our door in the morning, the bagels weren't pre-sliced; no way to toast them & no plate (even paper one) provided.
A small microwave and/or toaster in the room would be helpful, as would a disposable shower cap.
Bathroom barn door needs a handle of some kind to open/close it!

- Copen (5/5): It was fine for a night. I’ll likely choose someplace else next time. - The location was great and easy to get to. The high ceilings in the rooms are very nice. Shower area was spacious. Sink didn’t drain in room. TV was hit or miss. Sometimes it just didn’t connect. Room had large black scuffs on walls. Lamp shade looked like it had water stains all over it. Makeup mirror provided didn’t work.
When you walk in the lobby, it kind of looks like the entry of a busy apartment building with bikes parked inside and other miscellaneous items just kind of sitting there.
- Amy (10/5): A stop over on our way to Rhode Island. - The continental breakfast was great! We were there on a Tuesday and the restaurant was closed.
- Niamh (2/5): -
- Marcia (8/5): But, over all it was a nice place - I love the location, the waterfall and the decor! Also the bed was very comfortable. The TV was not working and the breakfast was kind of lame! For $300 a night they should serve a breakfast at the restaurant not bagels and juice at the room.
- Mary (10/5): -
- Moniqué (10/5): -
- Sandra (6/5): It was just okay - The overall look of the hotel. Very noisy
- LEDERMAN (10/5): -
- Ronel (10/5): Splendid - Clean, great customer service, location was perfect. Honestly, we have no complaints. A little pricey.
- Sigrun (9/5): - Wonderful location, a great room, excellent air, peaceful. The only disappointment was the breakfast: too sweet. It would have been ok if the yogurt had been plain and the bagel not white. (There were no options.) Also, the coffee is pretty bad.
- John Allen (10/5): - My wife and I travel from Virginia twice a year to visit family in the Beacon area and we always stay at the Roundhouse. Excellent.
- Maryam (4/5): Great Location But Everything Else is a Miss - The location was close to the shops on Main Street. The decor was interesting and I liked the industrial aesthetic of the room (minus the lack of an area rug) with the wood accents. With hardwood floors there really should be slippers. The staff was unfriendly (monosyllabic answers and no recommendations for food nearby), the bed was so uncomfortable that I slept 4h (usually not a problem for me when I travel), and the breakfast was mediocre. The person in the room above me was walking loudly until 2a and I could hear their conversation too. An area rug under the bed would have really helped dampen the noise… or slippers. There were also almost no amenities. I will not be staying here again.

- Mara (9/5): A charming, cozy, and perfectly located getaway in Beacon! - This was a wonderful place to stay for a day trip! The location was perfect, at one end of the Main Street, the breakfast was simple and lovely, and the room was so cozy and well kept!! Would definitely stay here again.
- Emily (3/5): -
- Masha (9/5): - Beautiful heritage building in a historical village with great and attentive staff.
- Daniel (8/5): - The location was perfect, it was very clean and comfortable . Unfortunately you can hear your neighbors and too easily. For the hefty price tag, an amenity or two would be nice . We were unaware of the lounge and bar area after it was too late . My suggestion is to have staff that is a bit more engaging and excited to tell you more about the property and beacon .
- Samara (8/5): -
- John (10/5): - Exceptional hotel! Very clean, beautiful rooms, great location! Excellent continental breakfast delivered to your room! Wouldn’t change a thing.
- ORIT (8/5): -
- Karen (10/5): Relaxing and Cozy! - The location being right off Main St was convenient and the staff were super accommodating! The hotel room was spacious (loved the high ceilings) and the bed was extra comfy. We did experience a bit of noise from our neighbors but it wasn't too loud or annoying. We wish we had some plates and some utensils in the room since we ordered take-out from the Roundhouse Restaurant but overall no big complaints!
- Joseph (10/5): -
- Simon (7/5): Nice area, but value for money isnt there especially with the room they gave us beside the lobby - Its a nice spot Gave us the room beside the lobby and parking so for the price we paid it does not make sense
- Ahmed (9/5): A great stay, a visit again - Lovely area, great location, super comfortable, and great staff
- Rossanna (8/5): Perfect stay in Beacon - Beautifully designed. Amazing location
- Daniel (9/5): Perfect place with charm, class, and comfort. - Gorgeous building and location. Personal preference: the beds were far too soft for me. They are high quality though.
- Joerg (10/5): -
- Addy (6/5): -
- Robert (10/5): -
- Cathryn (5/5): Very average and inattentive hospitality experience - Convenient location Basic facilities, difficult personal contact (reception was minimal) did not follow through on simple requests and did not cater to gheir guests at all.
- Robert (10/5): -
- Jenny (8/5): -
- Carolina (10/5): -
- Lesley (10/5): We were there for our niece's wedding. It is a beautiful venue and a beautiful area. Wonderful Time! -
- Janet (7/5): -
- Ricarda (9/5): Cosy stay at Beacon - Great hotel to stay in Beacon for a few days and explore the area. Incredibly cosy and spacious room with a lovely view over the river and with very friendly staff. We also enjoyed the provided breakfast. The room wasn't entirely clean, i.e. it seems like the carpet wasn't hoovered and still had small pieces of trash on the floor.
It would be nice to have some plates and actual cutlery for breakfast.
- Esmée Hutjens (8/5): -
- Mark (9/5): Hotel and accompanying restaurant make a great affordable luxury experience, especially for couples -
- Scott (10/5): -
- Oleg (8/5): - The location, size of the room, comfort The breakfest
- Antuono (10/5): -
- Mathilde (6/5): Bel établissement mais trop cher pour ce que c'est. - Le petit déjeuné compris est très basic, avec des couverts en plastiques, sans assiettes, et franchement décevant pour le prix de la chambre (un bagel et un muffin très gras).
- Richard (9/5): -
- Stephanie (10/5): - The room was excellent The TV shut off at like 9pm thought that was strange
- Madeleine (10/5): -
- Krystyna (9/5): Fantastic, we loved Beacon and its mountain trails - Historical buildings, very nice personnel, fantastic location near waterfall, beautiful garden, cleaniness, tasty breakfast None
- E. Berrocal (8/5): -
- Robin (9/5): Very enjoyable stay - Very comfortable room, great shower.
Beautiful grounds. It would have been good to have been able to pick up a pamplet( booklet ) with tourist info on Beacon at reception. The Beacon information centre was closed during our stay.
- ronit (5/5): לא נוח -
- Chinyu (6/5): -
- karenlX1852TT (10/5): Boutique hotel steps to Beacon downtown - Boutique hotel impeccably restored. Comfortable rooms with large windows! Free continental breakfast delivered to your door. Welcoming staff!
Steps to Fishkill Overlook Falls and downtown Beacon with shops and cafes. Roundhouse Restaurant has an exquisite dining room or an outdoor patio. Food is delicious.
- Sam (10/5): -
- Elizabeth (10/5): This is one of my favorite places I have ever stayed in! Lovely location with lots to see and do - The room was wonderful! Large and very clean My only complaint is I wish the lighting in the room was better.
- Kimberly (6/5): Won’t be staying there again - The waterfall at the restaurant There was broken pink nails on the floor . They also charged me for my stay and I had to call to get the charges reversed as I paid Booking.com . Then they charged me $5 and some change as Booking.com didn’t charge me enough. So I’m not happy
- naham (8/5): -
- Alessandro (8/5): - The room The restaurant was closed
- Ben (5/5): We have stayed a few times. The property is very good but the service/wifi can be an issue - View Room didn't have breakfast as promised
- Jorge (9/5): -

- markstar (10/5): a beacon of niceness - some harsh reviews here.... we loved staying in beacon and lover the roundhouse.. the room was great... a big room, modern conversion.... would be happy to take it with us on our travels. lunch on the terrace by the falls was great and the town had ample stylish bars and eats.... a great find! we liked the breakfast to go idea... bagel on your door plus juice/c cheese/jam ..... staff were nice... a very positive stay

- Michael (8/5): We loved the room but were hoping for a bit more emenit having spend $280 for the night in the room. - We liked the room very much, very spacious and light, good.
Great location, next to a river with a waterfall, beautiful surrounding area.
Lovely little walk tit he main street in Beacon. There is no communal meeting space in the hotel, just the check in area and then of course your room.
No lounge area.
The included breakfast were nice items ( OJ, butter, cream cheese, yoghurts) in the fridge and a bag with bagels and muffins was hung in the morning at your door. Sadly no plates or cutlery were provided in the room.
The breakfast was good.

- howard (6/5): -
- Megan (7/5): I'll be back, but with relatively low expectations regarding staffing and amenities. - The room was great. The wifi was down, and we were not advised by the staff. The restaurant was closed, as was the bar - I guess I could have checked about that, but nobody bothered to tell us either.
- Schoor (10/5): -
- Matz (9/5): -
- EMILIO (9/5): Overall a perfect stay and historic spot. - Continental breakfast was fresh and very good. hotel was unique and very clean. Enjoyed the location which was close to main street. The waterfall and stream that runs under/alongside the property was beautiful. Great location and short drive to surrounding historic towns, parks, hiking/biking, and train stations to the city. considering the restaurant is closed tuesdays and wednesdays we were unable to utilize the lounge/bar/restaurant which looked really nice. Unable to enjoy the outdoor patio and food. No hot or full breakfast included which would be a nice addition to this property as most hotels at this price point do include some version of it.
- Mari (10/5): Exceptional -
- Liliana (10/5): Exceptional -

- TravelwithWendyP (6/5): Surprising, not in a good way - I was eagerly looking forward to dining at the Roundhouse in Beacon, having heard promising things about the experience. While the location itself is quite beautiful, I must say our visit fell short of expectations in several ways.
The staff appeared to be stretched thin during our visit. We needed to request water refills multiple times, and when they did arrive, they were oddly served only to the person who asked. Despite ordering a lovely bottle of wine for our group, we weren't offered refills or the option to order another bottle - something I would expect at a restaurant of this caliber.
The timing between courses needed improvement, with appetizers and main dishes arriving without proper pacing. We tried a variety of dishes - French Breast Chicken, Chittara Pasta, Paella, Duck Breast, along with starters like burrata, warm baguette and Brussels sprouts. While everything was adequate, at this price point I was hoping for dishes that would truly impress rather than simply satisfy.
At the end of our evening, we encountered a small but telling issue with our exit. The door we had initially entered through was closed as we were leaving near closing time. We had to navigate back through the restaurant to find an exit near the restrooms. What disappointed me was that staff members observed our confusion without offering assistance or direction.
I recognize these are challenging times for the restaurant industry, and I genuinely hope the Roundhouse can address these service issues. The venue has such wonderful potential, and with some improvements to staffing and attention to detail, it could truly shine in the area.
