• Daniel (1/5): AVOID!!! - We had one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve ever had here. On arrival, we were shown two rooms: one wasn’t even what we had booked, the other was presented as a “free upgrade” but was simply the category we had already paid for. Both were dirty, smelled of damp, and one even had a dirty mop and bucket left inside. Far below any reasonable standard of cleanliness or care. When we tried to get help, we were left to walk around searching for an office, only to be treated as if the problems were somehow our fault. There was no guidance, no customer care, and absolutely no willingness to resolve the issue professionally. A staff member at reception originally promised us a full refund, but the hotel later washed their hands of us and denied it ever happened. We’ve been left with nothing back for a stay we never actually had. Reading the other reviews now, it’s clear our experience is not unique. Guests repeatedly mention: • Old, tatty and mouldy rooms with damp patches and awful smells • Beds and mattresses so uncomfortable that people left with back pain • Rooms not matching what was booked or advertised on Booking.com • Noise, poor facilities, and extra charges for basics like air conditioning • Management unwilling to accept responsibility or provide fair refunds Our trust was completely broken by the way this was handled. To advertise one thing, provide another, then deny and gaslight guests when they complain is unprofessional and misleading. Avoid this property at all costs. It’s not just a bad experience — it’s a pattern, and the management clearly prefer keeping guests’ money to offering even the most basic level of client service.

• Giada Sorichetti (7/5): cozy stay :) - Lorenzo House Apartments is a hotel and apart-hotel accommodation, located right in the center of Kefalonia, just a few steps away from the lively main street of Lassi with its popular restaurants. A bus stop nearby makes it easy to reach Argostoli, which is very convenient for exploring the island. Cleaning is included even in the apartments, which is a great plus. The swimming pool is very large, with plenty of sunbeds available, and there’s also a bar where you can order snacks and drinks throughout the day. Inside the hotel, you’ll also find a spa for extra relaxation. Check-in and check-out were fast and efficient. On the departure day, you can leave your luggage at the hotel and enjoy your last hours outside without any stress. Staff members were always nice and welcoming, making the overall experience pleasant despite the structural flaws. The structure itself is not very modern, and some areas would definitely benefit from updates and renovations. For example, the shower was almost broken during our stay, and we noticed a few ants on the wall. Overall, the place could use some improvements to reach a higher standard.

• Giovanni (9/5): Ci tornerei! - Posizione comoda (nel centro di Lassi, vicino a pub, taverne, supermercati, negozi di souvenir, fermata dei bus) pulizia dell'appartamento molto buona e attenta, servizio cordiale, pronti a risolvere ogni esigenza del cliente, wifi buono in tutta la struttura, check in anticipato molto veloce. Piscina molto grande, bella vista, e c'era sempre delle sdraio disponibili per tutti. Arredo un po' datato negli appartamenti, ma funzionale!

• Mário (7/5): Estadia prática e bem localizada para aproveitar as praias, com algumas limitações no conforto - Casinha com tudo o que é preciso, bem preparada para quem vai desfrutar da praia. Tem zona exterior agradável, estendais e estacionamento privativo no local, o que facilita muito. Disponibilizaram-nos um guarda-sol para levar para a praia, o que foi bastante útil. Está bem localizada, perto de três praias: duas a cerca de 12 minutos a pé e outra mesmo em frente do Hotel Mediterranee, ainda mais próxima. A zona está bem servida de restaurantes e supermercados, com um mini-mercado logo do outro lado da estrada. Foi uma estadia simples e pratica, ideal para explorar a zona de Lassi em modo relax. O ar condicionado é pago à parte. Não é pelo valor, mas pela burocracia desnecessária. Parece-nos óbvio que, em plena época alta e com calor intenso, não devia ser opcional. As camas não eram confortáveis: colchões rijos e finos, e sendo camas individuais, mesmo juntas ficava um espaço no meio. A terceira cama era um sofá bastante desconfortável. Não reclamámos por pensarmos que era mesmo assim, mas para nossa surpresa, na segunda noite apareceu um sobrecolchão, o que indicia que provavelmente se esqueceram de o colocar inicialmente. Tornou a cama mais suportável. Há algum ruído durante a noite, pois o apartamento está virado para uma rua principal movimentada. Além disso, tem um rent-a-car mesmo ao lado, que lava carros logo pela manhã. Para quem quiser dormir até tarde e for sensível ao ruído, talvez não seja a melhor escolha.
• Sofia (4/5): Disappointing - The staff were very friendly, and try to help The place of accommodation that was provided did not match the photos on booking.com. The apartment was very small, not an apartment at all, more like a room. An apartment should have full apartment facilities like liquid soap to wash dishes, an iron and an ironing board, and cooking facilities and utensils, which the room only had one pot. Air conditioning was an additional cost, which should have been free of charge (hello it's summer) also transfer service for clients without a vehicle. I was so disappointed with the room, not an apartment, which made my Kefalonia stay the worst experience ever, I would not visit again. I would like to ask for my money back, definitely not worth the 414 euros that I spent.

• Amy (10/5): Great location, everything you need for a base to explore Kefalonia - Location was fantastic - only €8 taxi into Argostoli but lovely walk either along the coastline to the lighthouse or along the road into town. Pefanis car hir 5mins walk and they collect the vehicle from you on return, and the rest of the island short driving distance away. We spent many days exploring. The entire place was immaculate, rooms cleaned daily. Pool area was lovely, supermarket just over the road, easy walking distance less than 10 mins to beautiful beaches. 10mins from airport. Everything provided in the room for self catering. Lots of storage. Very safe are for our family. Wonderful views out to the bay and lovely sunsets. The gardens were gorgeous, kitchen was cleaned every day and well stocked cupboards/utensils. The hob was easy to use. Rooms were big and airy (we had 2 bed apartment) we took a firestick for the children to watch while we got ready on an evening, WiFi signal excellent throughout the property, even poolside. Food and cocktails from the pool bar were inexpensive and delicious! Cannot fault our stay at Lorenzo at all - we came home two days ago and have already enquired about booking again! All the hotel staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for you. This property is the perfect base for a fantastic holiday, we can't want to go back People from other places and hotels came to use the pool. However, we were always able to get 4 sunloungers for our family of 6 if we were there by 9am

Rooms are basic and are a little dated however it was clean and fridge, freezer, kettle, hob and all utensils. • Louise (10/5): I had a lovely, relaxing, peaceful comfortable stay - Lorenzo’s is a peaceful retreat during late season that is ideally situated close to airport, Argostoli and some beautiful clean sandy beaches with beach bars and restaurants. There is a supermarket opposite and some great restaurants close by. The grounds and pool area are well kept with some spectacular views. The pool has a bar for drinks coffee and snacks. The staff, from the manager to the cleaners, all are very polite, happy and professional. My room was cleaned daily and the towels and bedding were changed every couple of days. Our visit was late October and the holiday season was winding down all around us. The bus service was early mornings only therefore a car or taxi is recommended especially heading back to the hotel / apartments due to the long climb out of Argostoli. I enjoyed my stay and cannot find anything I didn’t like about the property..

I had a 1st floor corner room which did have some noise coming from the car hire car wash but it didn't bother me nor did being next to the main Lassi road. Ideally situated for a choice of beaches, tavernas, bars and mini markets. The 2 cleaning ladies were lovely and always smiling. I hope to stay again at Lorenzo House on future trips.

• Kim (6/5): Good value for money - Very good sized appartment with a generously proportioned bathroom. The pool area was nice. The beach was close by and great. The location is very adjacent to the main street which has lots of bars and restaurants. The kitchen had no oven and there were limited cups and crockery. Being close to the main street (and a coach park) the room was very noisy especially in the early morning. The furniture was ver old fashioned and detracted from the otherwise pleasant living area.
• Ayman (1/5): Bad - the only good thing is the location near argostoli and its on a busy street in lassi we thought we were booking an apartment at the hotel like we did three months ago, but despite being on the same property with the name Lorenzo we were at the house apartments..the apartment is so old, the bed was horribly uncomfortable my husband couldn't fit in the bed when we complained to the desk about that they added another mattress so it was high (still small and very short) we woke up with backpain. decided to cut our stay short at two nights instead of the four nights we booked and paid...

The accommodation staff were very friendly and were brilliant at their job. The kids loved the pool, the food at the pool restaurant was lovely and a great price. The noise from the main street was loud at times but there is nothing the hotel and apartment can do about that. The car rental next door were washing the cars early in the morning which woke us.

• Aikaterini (6/5): Nice with a pool, facilities need some update though! - Loved the pool, mini bar and the location close to everything incl beaches. Very lovely ladies working at the pool area. Very immaculate cleaning highly professional which improved the experience Maybe it was our apartment only, but it was super noisy and the AC was not covering fully the whole apartment, aka our little kid was sleeping in a quite warm room next to the kitchenette. The girl in the reception was not particularly welcoming or kind which gives a bad impression at the arrival. The whole apartment building needs some serious renovation, everything was very old and not according to modern standards.
• Sandra (8/5): Delightful, I was very relaxed and happy staying there. - It was peaceful but in a central location. The cleaners were excellent and always smiling and friendly despite it being very hot weather. No problem to get a sun bed and parasol. Shower was not hot early in the morning.

• Nikola (8/5): Very good - Location of the apartments was great, near a lot of great beaches, tavernas and right in front of the supermarket. Staff was really nice and welcoming. They let us stay by the pool after our check out, since our flight was late. A bit of old furniture, that would need to be changed. We've got 2 single beds, even thought our reservation was for double bad. We told it to the staff, but nothing was done. You are paying extra 7€/day for AC.
• Katie (6/5): It was fine, wouldn’t book again. - Location was good, next to a little high street with lots of places to eat. Near a beach but that beach was very small and had construction work going on next to it. We booked a double room and got given a twin, when I went to the desk to ask for the room that we booked I was told that this is an issue with booking.com and it’s not guaranteed that you get the room you booked (seems like a big issue to me). This put a dampener on things and the staff were not very helpful and nothing was done to fix the situation. The rooms are big but very dark. The room we got had no view at all and the outside table backed right on to the high street so again looked nothing like the photos of the advertised rooms.

Every day the room was cleaned to perfection ! Special thanks for the cute cleaning ladies ❤️ We loved the patio we had, had dinners there a few times 🍒 The room was big with all the necessary facilities A few days, there was a restaurant noice coming from below

Shower facility for late checkouts. Towel hire at the pool bar Whilst our apartment was spacious it was in desperate need of modernisation. Think 1940s holiday camp and you’re not far off the mark. The pool area is good and the lady at the pool bar very happy and her service was great. The bed / mattresses were awful - there were two very very soft and cheap mattresses that didn't fit the bed frame correctly so we rolled to the middle together and you could feel the springs in the mattress. We did have to clean the kitchen pans and utensils before we used them and the collection of glasses and cups was old, mixed and limited (for example only one small wine glass and two normal glasses....) The T.V. was great as it was newish and would have been better if you could get more than just the 7 or so news channels....... We also had to pay another 35 euros per week for the a/c which is standard in most other places including the much cheaper and better apartment we stayed in Katelios (Medusa apartments)
• Artjoms (9/5): I had a good time staying at Lorenzo house apartment, highly recommend! - Central location to all your holiday needs, shops, cafes, restaurants, excursion agencies, beaches etc. Exceptional staff, service, rooms were cleaned every single day. Great pool area with a bar that serves drinks and snacks. Towels, sheets, pillows, everything was in abundance. Rooms were equipped with everything you'd need to whip up a breakfast or cook a meal. This is not a negative, moreso just the nature of the fact that you will be staying in the central area of the village - next to the facilities that produce a lot of noise. I'd advise bringing earplugs with you to rectify this fact, especially if you are a light sleeper.

Small problem with one member of staff in the reception area, over a misunderstanding over breakfast, my fault, but she could have been more private about what was said to me, in front of other people, basically I thought I'd booked breakfast in my stay....I hadn't, I'd had breakfast the first day, went in again and the lady came in and chastised me for not paying, in front of other people, I checked my booking, and saw that I'd only booked self catering, and when I went to pay for my breakfast, I told her that I had eaten breakfast too the day before, so I could I pay for that too. I told her I was sorry, she was ok after that...that's the only thing that bothered us, just use a little more tact, people do make mistakes.

The bathroom flooded after a shower and no hot water in the morning to take a shower. The older lady on reception was very rude, unhelpful and not in the correct employment for hotel reception. Loy on the other hand totally the opposite very welcoming and helpful
• Karen (10/5): Fabulous holiday - It's position. Perfect for beach and town centre. It was clean and comfortable. Our two bedroomed apartment had an enormous balcony. The kitchen was tiny.
• Karen (3/5): Not good - Good location close to restaurants We stayed in a studio apartment. The wardrobe was a cupboard in the wall that was mouldy and smelled awful. The whole studio had damp patches on the walls. The room was very old and tatty looking with 2 single beds pushed together one of them had a mattress that sunk at one side and the base was bigger than the mattresses so you banged your legs every time you walked past. The shower head was broken and the bathroom was tiny. Their was no privacy on the balcony you could be seen from neighbouring balconies. Our studio was next to the laundry which was a garage so bathroom window opened into it so again no privacy. We requested a room change but they didn't have one available for our whole stay.

• Nick (10/5): - Let's start with the only negative comment I can come up with. Yes the interior of the apartment was a little dated and fairly basic but hey you're in Greece. Everything else about this property is superb. The staff are excellent, the pool and bar is great and the hotel dog is hilarious. Guests return year after year and I can see why.

• Marzena (4/5): Old fashion with limited amenities but clean and in perfect location. Not value for a money. - Location was perfect and apartment was big with patio. Cleaned every day. Clean, green and well maintenance area around the apartment block. Nice view from patio. Unfortunately that was very old fashion property. I will never use the kitchen facilities to prepare there any meal. Tap leaking all day and night. Beds not so comfy and pillows horrible. Lady from reception chase us in front of other visitors for 1.5 euro of city tax witch we have not paid her on the first day as we did not have any coins and I have planed to pay this on the last day returning the keys. Shame ....
• ronald (10/5): Fabulous week at Lorenzo - Spent a gorgeous week in wee studio for 2. Had everything we needed. Great shower with plenty of hot water and good hairdryer. Cleaned to a very high standard daily by 2 lovely ladies. Great location close to strip with plenty of restaurants and bars serving great food. Beautiful beach a stones throw away. Beautiful pool with plenty of sunbeds and pool bar...whats not to like

Pool and surrounding area clean and tidy and lots of sun beds and chairs around the pool. Beds in apartment very comfortable and well equipped. All ok

• Julie (7/5): It was really fun and easy to stay there - The room was lovely, close to all the beaches and restaurants. The staff were so sweet, especially Effie who was working the night shift when we arrived. The pool is awesome and they have a fully equipped pool bar with delish cocktails. You can hire beach towels from there for a 5 euro hold that you get back when you return them The mattress was HORRIBLE. You could feel every spring dig into your back and when my friend moved ever so slightly the whole bed shook. So I moved to the futon and friend stayed on the bed. Also keep your windows closed, the cicadas are INSANELY loud. We didnt know the apartment window was open as we arrived at 10pm and the blinds were closed at 6.25am it sounded like a chainsaw outside the window. This is nature, not the hotels fault, but just make sure you close your bathroom and kitchen windows.

• Mike (9/5): Perfect location in a traditional Greek apart/hotel. - Superb location right next to the restaurant/bar strip, but not disturbed by any noise. Just a very short walk from the main hotel and pool. Very helpful staff in reception. Cleaners came every day, spotlessly clean. Great pool and snack bar, plenty of beds for everyone, even though the hotel was full. Decent value snacks. Nice big family studio, albeit a little dated (which is typical of many Greek properties). Short walk down the hill to beach by Mediterainee hotel and the capital city of Argostoli just a 20-30 minute walk away. We really enjoyed our stay on this beautiful island. Nothing of any significance. Everything was as we expected. The only thing would be availability/option of breakfast in the hotel for the apartment users. as really they are just an extension of the hotel.
• George (9/5): Overall good location and good water pressure. - Best location near the best beach and Argostoli They charge extra for the AC 5 euro per day. Should be included in the price.
