Guest Reviews
- Graeme (6/5): - Good location. Roomy enough for a week stay however more room for bags would have been good. Bathroom needs better lighting over vanity.
- Rebecca (8/5): - I loved the convenience and concierge service was great
- Paul (4/5): - Amateur:
keys located in a lock box on a fence near the property.
Ironing board but no iron in the apartment: I went to a business meeting with a crumpled shirt.
Key return is ridiculous: you have to drive out of the car park and find street parking then walk back to the apartment to put the car park keys inside.
Communication is terrible: text message only, and no response for about 24 hours.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Checking in was not good as had to ask many times for the confirmation email to gain access to the apartment. Very hard way to get the key, park the car and eventually enter the apartment.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The property was in good condition and the communication was excellent.
The only thing was the lounge suites were very uncomfortable.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The location of the property is great. An easy walk to pretty much anywhere in the city and certainly ideal for events at Marvel Stadium.
The access to onsite parking was plus and I guess offset the cost of $75 for linen to use the sofa bed as we were 2 males who traveled down for the footy so weren't sleeping in the one bed.
- John (10/5): Great location, great flat. - The flat was in a terrific location, right near Southern Cross station with a tram stop right outside the front door. Can't beat that for convenience. The building is very nice, the place is pretty modern, and the flat was equipped with everything you need to live there.
- Alana (6/5): Location fantastic, size good - We stayed for 6 nights to go to the spring carnival. Location was fantastic. The 86 and 96 tram right outside our door, Southern Cross Station about 100m away. The room was clean and of a good size for a couple. The bed was uncomfortable, the pillows flat. The click click lounges were terrible to sit on and even worse to sleep on. My husband ended up sleeping on the floor the last two nights. The showerhead leaked quite a bit of water. The aircon unit on thr balcony started to smoke/steam when turned on. Also asked for a second but never heard from anyone about this. Since getting a key seemed to hard we never bothered to complain about the other stuff as we felt it would fall on deaf ears. We never received the check-in email. We were lucky enough to walk in behind someone to get to the concierge (who was awesome) and he knew who to call to get a key for us. We eventually heard from Melbourne Stays at around 8.30pm wondering if we were still checking in and had to go through the speil again. If the room were to have upgrades to the issues I would stay again but in its current condition I would not. Maybe the owner needs to spend a few nights there to get a feel of the place.
- sheryl (4/5): Apartment on Bourke St - I loved the idea of a balcony over looking the city but we couldn’t use it because the door was locked. We stayed 4 nights and there was 1 roll of toilet paper with no spares.
Door handle was hanging on by 1 screw on the inside so was a bit unsettling worrying someone could easily break in.
No hanging space in the wardrobe because there are 2 large locked cabinets in there and lounges were broken and uncomfortable to sit on.
- glen (6/5): good location - good location. the only downside was the bed was uncomfortable and lounge was too. sent txt to them about smoke alarm taped over got no response. no tv remote got no response either. no hanging space for clothes.
- Verified traveler (2/5): View of the city - Hotel was false advertising.
When arrived the concierge didn't welcome and not explaining the procedure of the apartment just took me to my apartment handed the key and left.
I checked out the apartment and found out the apartment was a reck, Bathroom, etc, was all working, Kitchen fridge leaking cupboards draws not clean cutlerys not clean a mess pots and pans needed to be thrown out (I notified Adrian and he brought one each pot, pan) and didn't bothered to throw out the old pots pans
Lounge room ok but one lounge chair is out of shape needs to be replaced. Bedroom no white sheets just ordinary home sheets bed quilt not clean pillow cases not clean wardrobe there were some two big box cabins and hover and standing fan etc. took the whole space that I could not hang my clothes the whole apartment needed a good spring cleaning. The aircon I hoped it was serviced each time the apartment is to be cleaned. I suffer from asthma. Very disappointed back home and sick in bed. Bad service not healthy to live in that apartment. Thank you for the view only. I should get some refund for what I had to go through.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great location from everything - The location of the room was amazing. The room facilities were good but some things were not up to scratch like melted forks, mugs dirty, fridge shelf broken, milk stain on the wall. These things werent a huge factor as the overall room facilities were good, location was amazing and had a great view of the city.
- Great vacation (10/5): Nice hotel. - Very convenient, safe and close to many downtown attractions. Friendly staff. Overall very nice facility
- Verified traveler (2/5): Not what I was expecting - This is not a hotel, which is what I thought I was booking. It's more of an Air B&B, which is fine, but not at all what I was after for business travel (or what was advertised). It took one and a half hours to "check in", with a flurry of texts to people I never met, some illegal car parking and a lot of waiting around - lucky I had no business meetings planned for this particular time that day. When I finally got in, I was really disappointed to find that the apartment reeked of smoke (as did I and my business suit after not too long).
- Verified traveler (2/5): - No one met us at reception, and that was after we were told if we were 10 mins late we might need to pick up the key outside cbd.
We spent 10 dollars on parking while trying every contact # to get a key, pouring with rain got drenched twice.
When we were leaving we were told to leave keys on bench, but then we couldnt get out of the parking garage because the clicker thingy was on the keys in the locked apartment. Debacle
- Verified traveler (6/5): Needs refurbishment. - Our first night (Friday) was spoilt by loud bass fom the night club opposite which went on until 2.30 am making sleep impossible, even though the bed was comfortable. Subsequent nights were better. Double glazing is advisable. The apartment is looking very tired and in need of some maintenance. No excuse for mould around the bath. Pity the dishwasher had a "do not use" notice. Curtains didn't close. Venetians need repair. Door security chain had been removed and left on the kitchen worktop.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Positive point all comforts of home - On the negative side room was not made up dirty dishes in sink dirty towels in bath room no fresh shampoo or soap bed not made up even after sevral phone calls to concierge nothing was done about it...end up cleaning the unit myself very poor customer service and dissapointed for the mobey i pay....for the record i stay in room 2510 ........
- Benita (6/5): Good location for city stay. - The hotel itself was very tidy. Although trying to check in was tricky. As you need the security tag on the room key to get to the concierge on the other side of the glass doors. But you don't have the security tag till you get the key. You have to get in when another resident opens the door. Silly place to have the desk. When we got the key the person on the desk was not very helpful in directions to parking. We drove around carpark looking for room number for ten minutes. The numbers do not run in any order. Room was ok. Bed was comfortable but the whole apartment needs a good dusting and the walls and doors need a clean. There was red marks on the inside of entry door that looked like food. The couches were not very nice and also needed a good wipe over. The cushions need a wash there was yukky dryed up stuff on them. The location is great. Easy walk to many different sites. Overall not too bad.
- Pat (6/5): Spacious apartment - A few short-cuts had been taken in this convenient and spacious apartment, eg. poorly laid wallpaper. However they could easily have been overlooked if not for the lack of adequate cleaning, especially in the bathroom.
Owners would be wise to alert visitors to the fact that the door to the apartment must be locked using the key. On the first night we hastily left the apartment, assuming that the door was self-locking, only to find the place unlocked on our return.
- Rebecca (2/5): Terrible Experience - The room was dirty and tired. We clearly stated there were two guests and yet only received one key which we had to keep leaving with the concierge while we were doing different activities during the day and night. We didn't receive a car park fob so had to get the concierge to let us in and out constantly. The pool and gym were closed the whole time we were there so we could not use these facilities. There was no hairdryer which is a basic amenity these days. Despite contacting the owners, I received no response - extremely poor customer service and facilities.
