- SAM (10/5): Great experience - Great quality and nice location
- Ofer Rosenthal (6/5): - The reception team was lovely and professional
The parking is comfortable The quality of most of the facilities feels cheap
The blankets

Many small issues for maintenance to come and fix
Nothing close by in walking distance except of 7/11
The balcony doesn't offer any intimacy
Barely space to open the suitcase in the room
- RATIKORN (10/5): wonderful place wonderful staff good breakfast clean hotel - friendly staff beautiful facility calm environment variety breakfast good coffee the hand sink in the bathroom installed too low we have to bend the back very low to brush the teeth
- julieconsadd (10/5): Excellent! - Peaceful, luxurious, spacious, charming, very homey!
Staff are friendly, speak good english, hospitable!
Great amenities in the room.
Great sunrise view from the room and balcony.
7/11 just across the street.
Good thai restaurant by the riverside just about 1 km from the hotel.
Great buffet breakfast! it is pre-order until late night so it is freshly cook when served.
- 530erikkav (8/5): Luxurious - I recently stayed at Riverside in Chiang Mai and had a wonderful experience! The rooms are beautifully decorated, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The staff were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to ensure my stay was enjoyable.
One of the highlights was the free shuttle service to Old Town, making it easy to explore the area without any hassle. The breakfast offered was delicious, with plenty of vegetarian options available, which was a great bonus for us.
The only downside I encountered was the lack of a gym facility, which would have been a nice addition for workout enthusiasts. However, this minor drawback did not overshadow the overall quality of my stay.
I highly recommend Riverside in Chiang Mai for anyone looking for a pleasant getaway with beautiful accommodations and excellent service!

- Saikaew (9/5): - Cleanliness, Staff service mind Food taste does not as goog as before.
- Samantha (4/5): Service was poor- ie- room service/restsurant, river is muddy, taxi’s can’t find it, staff tried but it didm’t work, -
- David (1/5): Promoting animal cruelty is not acceptable - Good rooms , friendly staff I can’t believe in 2025 there are still establishments promoting animal cruelty in the form of elephant riding on in room brochures. It’s a real shame as it means I cannot recommend this hotel
- Douglas (9/5): Good care from staff - Very clean and comfortable
- Thomas (10/5): -

- Juzer (10/5): A lovely all-suite hotel by the river. - The location is very nice - by the river. It's quiet and peaceful, which is what we wanted. The staff were very courteous and always helpful. If you want to be in the middle of the city, this is not for you. But they do offer a free shuttle to the Old Town.
- Ricky (10/5): Great quality, very comfortable, aesthetically pleasing and clean. - Great quality, very comfortable, aesthetically pleasing and clean. Location

- Chrisoula (10/5): Excellent Hotel! - I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. The hotel itself was a boutique hotel where each room is like a small apartment. It was very modern and clean. It has snacks and drinks in the lobby every day for you eat/drink that are complementary. You have to order your breakfast the night before, but it is a wonderful breakfast and they have it ready for you the next morning at your chosen time slot. What made this hotel exceptional was the staff. In particular, the front desk staff. They were always helpful and were able to assist us with our needs. I had a minor accident and they arranged for a driver to take us and pick us up from the hospital for free. They were willing to pick us up no matter how late we were going to be. In addition, they noticed that I was in pain while walking to breakfast and when I came back, they had a wheelchair waiting for me to assist me when I am at the hotel. The only thing was that is was about 10 mins outside from the downtown core however that was not a big deal. We often used the hotel complementary shuttle or used a Grab app which was very affordable. It was right by the river which was very nice and there was a 7/11 right across the street.
- 797thomb (8/5): Great hotel, but a bit far from town - The staff were incredibly nice and helpful even though there was a language barrier at times. The suite was very comfortable and it was nice to stay in an apartment-style room after a few weeks of traditional hotel rooms! The breakfast at the restaurant was great, although, what they call a “buffet” isn’t laid out as a traditional buffet. We went to the spa and had some great massages. My one qualm would be the hotel’s distance from the center of town. On a map I thought it would be much closer, but it is pretty isolated, so you don’t have the option to wander around straight out the door.
- Bowles (9/5): -
- Meishethetraveller (10/5): Wonderful! - This boutique hotel is wonderful! The staff are attentive and courteous and nothing is too much trouble. The apartments are immaculate, kudos to the cleaning team. We ordered breakfast to be served in our room and it was well presented and delicious. I stayed in a few hotels in Thailand and this was my absolute favourite. The location is not walkable but that didn’t bother us, the hotel provided a car into town and the night market or we sometimes used the Bolt App. Would stay here again.
- Stephen (10/5): - The perfect place to base yourself. Quiet location, wonderful staff and the suite was spacious, clean and quiet. Free transport to the old City takes about 10 to 15 minutes. 10 minutes to the airport.
- pohhs27 (10/5): Big on luxury, small in size - This 16 suite hotel was probably the best value for money hotel that I have ever stayed in.
There were 4 of us staying in a 115 sqm suite with 2 bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms, a dining room, a kitchenette, a living room and a balcony.
Service from the staff was very attentive.
Breakfast could be ordered the day before from an ala carte menu, with no limit on the items just the quantities. It was served punctually to the suite and nicely laid out on the dining table.
It was a luxury and a time saver. There was no need to leave our suite to go to a restaurant. The only set back was because all items had to be ready before being brought to the suite, they were a bit cold, especially the hot drinks. Perhaps some solution can be found for this. For us, it was a small price to pay for the convenience.
One issue that we had in both bathrooms was the water temperature. It simply could not keep steady.
- Tom (10/5): - One of the best places we have ever stayed. It was a few minutes from downtown but we had the hotel driver take us to several areas in town on our request. He was not only on time but early every day waiting on us. . The staff went out of their way to help with all our needs. My wife’s shoes were severely wet from a Toto the National Park and the staff helped with an extra fan so the she’s would be dry before or our flight in the morning. The rooms and service are well deserving of a five star rating. We left for a five star hotel in Phuket and the Chiang Mia Riverside is head and shoulders above the hotel in Phuket. Thank you Chiang Mia Riverside for such a great experience. We may not be back to Chiang Mia but we will refer our family and friends who plan on visiting.
- Alain (10/5): Parfait - Parfait. Petit dejeuner incroyable. Gros choix servi en chambre.
- Jon_repsau (10/5): Great for Families - Perfect for a family stay, great apartments with good facilities. The kitchen made meal time fun as kids were tied of eating out 3 times a day. The kids loved the pool, the water was perfect and the two levels made it fun. It is so quiet and peaceful, albeit a little out of the way. Staff was super friendly.
- Louise (10/5): Amazing Hotel. Would stay again. - Staff were incredible. Nothing was too much. Place was spotlessly clean. Couldn't fault it.
- Sourikone (10/5): - Everyone was friendly
- Jose David (10/5): ¡Genial! - Todo estuvo excelente. El ser un hotel pequeño, ayuda a que el servicio sea personalizado. Cuenta con transporte gratuito al centro. Tambien tiene transporte al aerpuerto con costo.
- 99manjup (10/5): Lovely place! If I come back to Chiang Mai, that will be the only hotel for us to stay. - This hotel is truly the best choice for your stay! The staff is incredibly welcoming and provides top-notch service, while the cleanliness is impeccable 100% on both. Although the hotel is about 3-4 km from the market, transportation is very affordable with Tuk Tuk and Grab. If we ever return, this will undoubtedly be our first choice. The rooms are well-equipped with a dining table, gas stove, and a TV loaded with applications, plus complimentary water bottles. The view from the room is fantastic, adding to the overall experience. The hotel perfectly blends luxury and boutique-style interiors, making for a comfortable and stylish stay. In my opinion if you book your stay here, and you’ll absolutely love it!

- Parul (8/5): Very good - The staff was extremely polite and helpful and they made our stay comfortable
- Jason (6/5): Pleasant stay, a little out of town though - The staff were great, very helpful and friendly Breakfast was poor and having to order the night before does not suit our requirements. The pool isn't great and the noise from the playing children echoes around the rooms
- Boo (10/5): Exceptional -
- Roam34602821463 (10/5): Exceptional small hotel - I cannot fault this place. Staff were helpful attentive, spoke good English. Helped with tours and taxis. Hotel was small and out of the town, but a complementary shuttle was provided to the town. Highly recommended. Breakfast was the only disappointment, it was always cold. Coffee was good. Rooms lovely and spacious and clean.
- ka7755 (10/5): Lovely boutique hotel experience. - Lovely, quiet hotel just outside of town. Staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and really nice. The restaurant has great food and is really accommodating for special dietary needs. A boutique experience with easy pool lounger access and fantastic breakfast cooked to order. Felt very safe. 7/11 across the road so very handy. Highly recommend.
- Voradit (9/5): Superb -
- 818lindsaye (10/5): Book your stay here! - Excellent staff! They made the stay with their top notch service! The beds, rooms and outdoor spaces were great, as was the breakfast and laundry service. Highly recommend a stay here. My family felt safe and comfortable at all times, and well taken care of.
- Priyanshi (10/5): - We were picked at the airport by hotel staff and it was very convenient. We had a nice welcome at the reception with the fresh coconut drinks and cake for our honeymoom, the room set up was very nice and cozy. We also loved the al carte breakfast. Fuse was very helpful in booking us a private tour for the Wat phra temple.
- Jacobus (10/5): - The nicest and most friendly staff - thank you very much for a perfect 3 days is Chiang Mai.
- Thomas (10/5): - Good service pleasant staff
- Margaret (10/5): - The staff was amazing and accommodating. This location is pretty discrete but we ended up loving it because it was easy to get out of for the day. Plus side there’s a 7-11 across the street. The pool was well kept and there’s a restaurant attached. I would recommend including breakfast into your stay.
- Milton (8/5): Very good - The staff location
- tonytA6166GZ (10/5): Awesome but remote - Great clean place with luxury amenities. Awesome service.
Only a few nitpicking issues. Location next to the Ping river is remote from primary tourist sites and the river itself is underwhelming. Wished there were more fitness equipment and broader hours.
- James (9/5): Superb -
- michaelhJ2383IK (10/5): Great stay at the Chiang Mai Riverside hotel. - Wow, what an awesome hotel! Such wonderful, friendly and accommodating staff. Great restaurant with a lovely ambience by the river. Peaceful location. A pleasure to stay here! Our room was very comfortable and clean. A big thank you to everyone!
- scottsQ7948JL (10/5): Exceptional Room & Service - First and foremost, I would like to thank the Staff at the Riverside during my recent stay (Aug. 31 - Sept 2) they were so welcoming and accommodating and showed the true Lanna hospitality. So very much appreciated especially after my 26 hours of travel time from San Francisco to Chiang Mai. I was amazed how quickly if I had asked for something to arrive at my room, for example:
I was in need of 2 additional towels and seemed like as soon as I hung up the phone there was a knock at the door with my towels. Truly exceptional and shows the staffs attention to the guests.
If you are looking for a place away from the hustle & bustle of the Old Town then I may highly suggest The Chiang Mai Riverside, it is relaxing and quiet. I rested in my room Vorra -Ya overlooking the pool & Ping river in a surprisingly comfortable bed, most times very hard to find in Thailand.
Malao Malao Restaurant, exceptional Thai food some of the best I have ever experienced in 20 years of coming to Thailand.
Quite simply put if you are in need or want feel free to request anything from the front reception staff, they will do everything in their power to accommodate. I was never in need of anything that they could not assist in, so as my father always said if you do not ask you do not get, the staff wants to please you in the true spirit of the Lanna people of Northern Thailand.
- marceldY3835GJ (10/5): On vacation with the family - Enjoyed the peace and quiet at The Chiang Mai Riverside hotel! The rooms are incredibly spacious, more like apartments. The room is luxuriously finished, nothing to complain about. The hotel is located on the edge of Chiang Mai's city center. The advantage of this hotel is that you can choose to be in the hustle and bustle or not, as taxis are very affordable. There is a supermarket across the street, perfect for small groceries. The staff at The Chiang Mai Riverside hotel are very friendly! Highly recommended this hotel!
- azscubagal (10/5): Great staff, large suite & wonderful food. - Beautiful hotel, right on the banks of the river. Our suite was large, full living room, separate king bedroom, full dining table, large fridge & microwave. The room was more of a 1b apartment, than a hotel,
The staff was wonderful, as we booked the hotel only about an hour before our arrival after a horrible night at another location. The most impressive part was the $20usd dinner, by far the best hotel meal I have ever had. The morning breakfast was wonderful too, especially that it was included and, once again, room service.
After our previous hotel, a comfortable bed and hot shower were welcome. I only wished I had booked here earlier in my stay in Chiangmai.
- candacecC4469WA (10/5): Amazing! Do yourself a favor and stay here! - Such an amazing place! So clean, so peaceful, and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant. Rooms are so comfortable, the breakfasts were amazing. We are already planning on coming back for our next trip! Thank you, again, to all the staff for making our visit to Thailand so wonderful!
- NorthStar67754747720 (10/5): Amazing stay at Chang Mai Riverside hotel with my wife and two children in March 2024. - Beautiful suite. Lovely staff. Shady outdoor pool was the perfect temperature on a hot day. A family breakfast in the room was a real treat. A free air conditioned shuttle bus into town was great. Thai massage made my back feel amazing. Thoroughly recommended!
- Donna (10/5): - The staffs are great
- 580johannar (10/5): Wonderful for our family! - This hotel was absolutely wonderful for our family of 5 on our vacation to Chiang Mai!!! The two bedroom suite was beautiful and the service was top notch.
Pool was perfect for our kiddos, and on site bar had espresso at our fingertips!
Quiet location with 7 Eleven across the street.
We will certainly be back.
- Anthony (8/5): Very good - Luxurious suite like apartment. Very private. Great place to relax and enjoy the apartment. In house menu a bit limited.
- thanapatc2023 (10/5): Trip to the Chiang Mai Riverside - A few days ago I had stayed over at the Chiang Mai riverside hotel and this is what I think about it. One was the staff the staff was very kind and polite. They try to help with almost everything! Second was the room, the room was amazing, clean and very worth the price. Overall my trip was amazing, me and my friends had a great time there
- TheLodgeGuestHouse (6/5): Nice rooms ….. that’s all - It’s a shame to give a less than glowing review but to deserve 5 stars at the price charged, the hotel falls short. The rooms are a refreshingly good quality (after travelling Thailand for 6 weeks in similar standard properties). The glass on the balconies are unclean & handrails unvarnished & the roadside face of the hotel filthy, but the general appearance is good. The bedding, pillows & room facilities are good quality. Unfortunately our shower was alternately too hot or too cold.
The main disappointment comes with the food & noise levels. Breakfast is pleasant enough, but cold (reheating is possible via the microwave in the room) as it travels a long way to arrive. We ate twice in the evening, once in the soulless dining room & once in our room. We like spicy food but only ordered one item with a single chilli indicating a mild spice. It was harsh tasting & too hot. A small rice portion was literally a teacup sized portion. No medium portion on the menu but the large portion was enough for at least 4 people! The massaman curry was like no other massaman (one of our favourites) we’ve eaten ….. bitter & yet tasteless. The appetisers were pleasant.
Traffic noise during the day is very noticeable. We were also unfortunate enough to have a very noisy family using the pool area each evening, despite the hotel being almost empty, which disrupted our enjoyment of the balcony & pool area. On one evening a celebration in the garden area echoed with children’s screams & adults shouting until late into the evening (we were due to leave for an early day out the next morning), and our sleep was disrupted.
The staff try to be very helpful but basic misunderstandings were frequent ….. ordered one cocktail & received two, ordered two main courses & received one…… just a little frustrating.
The poolside furniture has no padding and is incredibly uncomfortable. Garden furniture has cushions covered in bird droppings.
The ‘gym’ consists of two items of equipment & no weights.
Due to the lack of guests the hotel felt a little desolate & waiting/bar staff were doubling up on other duties and were unavailable when a drink/food was required. A visit to reception to find staff, place an order & finally get a drink took an age. We gave up & bought our own.
A good stop over for a couple to days away from the havoc of the centre, but nothing close to walk to so a car needed or frequent taxis (15 minutes minimum to the centre as traffic is bad). The hotel will, if asked, provide a lift to the Old Town, but this is not mentioned unless you ask.
- RAUL (10/5): - Everything was very good
- Akaravech (10/5): Exceptional -
- Patrick (10/5): Luxury lovely suites - The suites and service were amazing Restaurant should upgrade quality, Thai food was average, a beautiful hotel like this should at least have some European food, why have a pizza oven and not use it, breakfast was good with top service
- Paul (10/5): A very very pleasant stay in a lovely resort. Highly recommended. - Very nice and clean. Rooms are beautiful, breakfast and restaurant are very good. Staff are friendly and very helpful. Nothing to dislike
- Simon (7/5): Nice rooms - Spacious. Well appointed rooms. Location proved a problem with traffic congestion back into town
- Chan (8/5): Very good -
- Happiness38312324447 (10/5): A charming and peaceful hotel in Chiang Mai - This hotel is simply charming. First, the rooms are exceptional: spacious, impeccably clean, tastefully decorated, and equipped with everything you could possibly need. Attention to detail is evident, and the lighting in the rooms is very pleasing.
As for the common spaces, they are also impressive. The outdoor pool and its surroundings are simply fantastic, creating a relaxing and appealing atmosphere.
Although the hotel is a bit removed from the the city center, its location in a quieter area near the river offers a great deal of tranquility. Additionally, its proximity to the center, just a 10-minute drive or motorcycle ride away, makes it a great choice for those seeking a beautiful and peaceful retreat that is still close to downtown. If you're looking for elegance and comfort, this hotel is the perfect choice! 😍
- simonmorrison27 (6/5): Pros and cons - Hotel was nice. Room was very spacious
Breakfast delivered to room sounds good but in reality what you get is a cold breakfast.
The main route back into the old town is very prone to very busy traffic.
The advertised gym incl a treadmill and a bike- so not really a “gym”
- Thomas (7/5): It's okay, location not great but good if you want quiet hotel. - Looks like the photos. It was a clean, quiet and small hotel.
Staff were friendly and tried to help were they could. Breakfast was not great for the price paid, £11 each.
The pool area was not welcoming for relaxing, overlooked by every room.
If you want to explore the old district the only way of getting there is Grab app and is 15mins away.
The hotel reception had no transport option available.
The few carpet/rugs were very dirty!
- Chris (9/5): Superb -
- Hadi (10/5): Excellent staff and there manager - Nice and clean No spa in the same hotel
- Maria (10/5): - Excellent place, fully recommended, the restaurant is average
- Sumaya (6/5): Pleasant - The stuff It is not clean, there are lizards, and it is far from markets and shops
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We LOVE this property! The staff are super friendly and the food is always great! They really do go above and beyond for the cost is amazing! The location is about a 20 min drive out of central old town but we hired a driver all times of the day and night and we were fine! I stayed here alone with my 7 year old and were completely safe! its perfect for couples and is surprisingly quiet! there is a small bar over the road we didnt even realize until a werk after our stay 😂 a 7 /11 is nearby and the apartments have a regular large fridge and microwave fully stocked kitchen. the Big C supermarket is humbly inexpensive with every food but the chef at this property is amazing! I recommend eating at their restaurant and adding the free breakfast option. They have a sister hotel in Old Town with a spa and a travel agency to book any thing you need! May i also recommend the tiger temple Mama Noi Cooking School and of course the Wat tours which are endless! Again perfect for couples and Solo book writing travellers, small groups and well single mom on a cultural tour with her son! Highly recommended to call the hotel if u need a hand with transportation. Advanced english and understanding, Perfect phone service, blackout backup lights, not 24hr reception but 24hr security guard who actually patrols! Perfect internet and phone and very safe. 👌💜
- Nicola (9/5): Lovely relaxing place with super staff -
- Mike (10/5): one of my favourite places to stay in Thailand - basically everything nothing comes to mind
- Low (6/5): Pleasant -
- Mike (10/5): Easiky one of the top places to stay in Chiangmai - pretty much everything as it’s my favourite place to stay in Chiangmai To be honest I can’t think of anything
- Jankie (10/5): - it’s a great property lots of space but the location is a bit inconvenient. It works for me because this is what I was looking for.
- Pitchaporn (10/5): Exceptional - I have stayed at many hotels in my travels, but this one truly stands out as one of the best. The design and amenities are top-class. I felt welcomed and valued as a guest. The attention to detail and level of service provided by the staff was exceptional. I will definitely be returning in the future. It's about 15 minutes from the city center. It takes a while to get a cab. A better option is to use hotel service or best is to have your own car.
- Mike (10/5): One of the nicest places I’ve stayed if not the nicest in all of south east Asia - very quiet and the suite was stunning and staff were really great I honestly can’t think of anything
- Teerawut (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tchanyasak (10/5): Perfect place to spend a quality time with family - We have stayed here many times but this is my first review. This hotel is our favorite. It is slightly off the city (about 10 minutes). We looked for a quiet place to spend some quality time. We got an upgrade to a two-bedroom suite which was perfect for our family. The room is nicely designed, clean, and full of amenities. We enjoyed our dinner at their traditional Thai restaurant. Some of the dishes are hard to find. The hotel has few facilities -- only a small gym with a couple of equipment and swimming pool. But other things are less important if you look for a good boutique hotel with high-quality in-room amenities.
- Ahmet (4/5): Family friendly. But not 5-star as mentioned. - Rooms are family friendly! Breakfast is a nightmare. We went out and had breakfast outside. Service was also not good enough. Gym is super small.
- Sam (8/5): Very good -
- Somprasong (8/5): Very good -
- Tommy (8/5): Great service with some minor - Overall a pretty good hotel stay in Chiang Mai
Pros: Large suite with a kitchenette, very nicely appointed. The service was great! We visited during a very tough period with Thailand starting to have Covid cases again but the staff was very warm and accommodating. Breakfast was served in the room with a very nice setup.
Cons: Bathroom was small and had a bad smell. It wasn't anything too bad but it was out of character for the rest of the property. Also breakfast looks nice but it was barely acceptable in taste.
- J&K (10/5): - We love The Chiang Mai Riverside. The service is great, and the room is clean, beautifully decorated, and spacious. The in-room breakfast service is wonderful.
- Tanya (10/5): - Wonderful place, lovely helpful staff!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Nice place, We got free upgrade to the larger room for the first and second day, that was amazing. However we need to change the room for the third and the fourth day. The staff told us we need to change the room on the second day. It will be better if they told us when we check in because we didn't expect an upgrade or room change. The rooms both good but the original one we booked only one bathroom so that is inconvenient for four of us. There is no convenient store nearby, the roads are dark, it takes around 15 minutes by taxi to downtown. Quiet but not convenient for tourists.
However, I love the design of the room, elegant, clean and large space in common area, staffs are friendly.
- JoeHoo (10/5): - Clean luxurious room with all the amenities. The staff is extremely courteous and friendly. They even went out of their way to obtain us cheaper transportation when it was obvious that the local taxi was outrageously expensive. The food and drinks are great with very attentive staff. Their sister property in the city has a great spa with excellent services. Once you are in the room, you don't want to leave since the rooms are so nice! You feel like you are in your own house, only with more luxury. My only negative comment would be the actual location of the hotel as you are away from any restaurants or stores. However, this could also be a plus if you are looking to be secluded and away from unnecessary distractions.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The rooms were well appointed and location was quiet and calm.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Room very clean and staff very professional and helpful.
The Hotel overall was much smaller than I thought from the photos online, but it was a lovely stay.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It is an amazingly clean facility with great staff. We had some problem with drinks ordered to room which was half full so had to return it back. Overall its a great place to live while on vacation. I highly recommend this place.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Location is away from the city which is ok and quiet. I call it a 4 star place
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The place is quiet and well-maintained. I just love the room I was staying at... It's on the ground floor next to the swimming pool. It's very spacious and has all the utensils and supplies I needed. (I was on a work holiday and so stayed at my room most of the time doing writing. The cooking utensils were just right for making simple meals for myself). I also love the Bistro. The food was great though I realized that the menu was about the same as last year's (I came with a friend to stay for 4 days last May). But, that's okay. I cans till sample different dishes offered on the menu. I like the idea having the restaurant right next to the river with half it in with open air and half inside an A/C area.
Love the high-tech of TV inside the room only that I didn't know how to search for the music channel (with a very nice selection) on display when I checked in. I could have asked the hotel front desk staff for help but it'd be nice if there's some simple instructions provided as part of the hotel manual...including the number we could dial for the services (I might have overlooked this if these were placed in my room).
The swimming pool is great. It is a bit small, but it's good for the size of the hotel. I was the only person using it anyway. :)
I guess the only thing that I find a bit inconvenient is the transportation/location. But, I that was compensated for taxi and tour services I hired from the front desk.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The rooms are excellent. The suites are very comfortable and well equipped. The restaurant is pretty good too. I had two excellent dinners.
Reception staff are very accommodating and went out of their way to make my stay comfortable.
- Terry (10/5): The room was very nice and clean. Breakfast excell - It was very good. The staff served every need selflessly.
- Michael (10/5): - An exceptional room that was very clean, had great amenities, and was spacious. Air conditioner was nice and quiet.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - i like it very much and the staff very professional, however i was told i had paid more
- Arash (10/5): Exceptional Service at This place! - We had a last minute booking at this hotel and they were nothing but accomdating. Exceptional service and would highly recommend for a great experience in Chiang Mai. Very clean and beautiful layout for our 2 bedroom room.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - beautiful hotel, friendly staff, a little bit distant from the main centre of town for those who want a little more 'acton"
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This is a great property, away from the tourist center of town. The staff are very accommodating and the rooms are great. If you are looking for something quiet and relaxing, choose this location.
- Clayton (10/5): Wonderful stay at a service-oriented hotel - We absolutely loved staying at The Chiang Mai Riverside Hotel. The main reason was the service. The staff was always ready to help you in any way they could, and everyone was very friendly.
One of the best perks and a highlight of our stay was having breakfast in our room at no additional cost. The night before you put in your order, choosing from 9 different options including Thai, Chinese, and Western style options. Then, at your chosen time, they deliver the meal to your room including setting up your entire table. It was a very similar experience when we ordered room service for dinner. The cost was the same as going to the restaurant (a little expensive, but not horrible), and they would deliver it to the room and set up our table for the meal.
There were only two negatives during our stay. One is the location. It's not around much, and you have to drive to get to all of the activities in and around Old City. However, they make up for this by offering rides to and from Tha Phae Gate whenever you want from 7am-9pm. You just have to call them when you need a ride back and they'll be there in ~20 minutes. The second negative was the fitness center because it's basically just 1 treadmill and 1 stationary bike. There are no weights machines and only on set of 5lb free weights.
All of that being said, we are definitely going to be bake here if we ever visit Chiang Mai again (or possibly their Old City location which is coming soon)
