- sunphoenix (6/5): One year later, further decline - Back after a year for a run. Everything I commented last year still there. One major concern/lapse was the lift card access was not working during my stay so basically anyone can go to any floor. Compared to a year before this is a huge security concern. Other than that the service standards have not improved. Restaurant buffet spread was much better I must say. I had also a problem with hot water shower that evening apparently there was a breakdown somewhere but it was fixed an hour or two later. I think I’ll skip this hotel for the next time and try the other nearby hotel as clearly the hotel is on autopilot mode and security is not a concern.
- iestatiptra (8/5): Could have got 5 stars but let down by check in system - Pros: it’s location to events near the Palace of Justice Putrajaya. Everything in the room works okay. Cons: the check in system during the Powerman 2025 event can be improved. The counters were not open in full. And then the queue system can be improved - should be single system rather than separate lines.

The swimming pool in the roof was great, the room was massive, and the breakfast was an endless buffet. I would have loved to spend more time in this hotel. Something that i really liked was the staff always smiling and focused on the customers. Something that I found out to be very rare in Malaysia. Well done!

- V4966NVjohnb (8/5): Impressive breakfast - On arrival the reception was efficient asking whether I wanted a king bed or 2 singles (I was on my own). The room was a decent size but only the one rather hard chair. Clean and comfortable aside from this. There are several room types so I can only speak for mine. Decoration in the hotel is distinctive and rather interesting. There is a comfortable cafe area on the ground floor adjourning reception serving light meals and sandwiches/cakes. The main restaurant has a dinner buffet and a la carte. A la carte food is good and served very attractively. No alcoholic drinks were available. It appears there must have been a shopping mall very much adjoined to the hotel as there are empty spaces across from the atrium where the restaurant is situated. The breakfast is very much multi-national A vast range of all types of food to satisfy everyone and very busy. The staff in the hotel are all very obliging and there seems quite a lot of them. For some the highlight of staying here must be the infinity swimming pool on the roof looking out towards the lake. There is a small gym also up there. Only a short walk to the lake and parkland with a large Mosque.

- sunphoenix (4/5): Meh - Building and facilities have the vibe of a 3 star hotel. 4 slow small lifts. Reception friendly and effective, check in done quickly. Got a room with balcony with great view so that was the highlight. Room dated, bathroom small shower are gets flooded with water fast. Towel is of horrible quality, literally the thin ones you get in Tune Hotel. Shower gel and shampoo the refillable type but bottle of horrible quality one of the bottle cap came off. And no one answered when I called for someone to help. Clowns! This hotel, is a self service hotel. Because you try calling housekeeping and reception for 10 times, no one picked up. Lucky I had the housekeeping cart outside of room so I helped myself. The housekeeping staffs are either foreign workers or locals but they look the mat rempit type, looked hostile non smiling. The front office and reception guest services folks are beacon of light positive smiling friendly and warm. Buffet dinner the price of RM88 is a rip off for the spread which is basic and food mostly cold. Better go to the food truck area across. Parking in an eerie dingy basement no proper signage have to go around the building to look for it. There’s a Hero Market next door so at least everything you need is there. Location is great with good views and very near the Dataran which hosts marathons. Otherwise really no reason to be here.

Rain Shower head is too high that is splashed all over the bathroom. Poor room service Asked for express laundry at 4pm. Front desk asked to find any nearby housekeeping staff as they are too busy to collect. Housekeeping staff asked to go to level 4 laundry room. Staff at the laundry room says their express service can only return the clothes next day, not 5 hours as stated on the form.

Decor is extremely dated, room was fine for a 24hr stay before flying back from KLIA. 7/11 supermarket is round the corner, 1 min walk away which was very handy. Air conditioning is excellent, which is generally the only positive. Our room had blood on the carpet and duvet, which felt extremely unsanitary. The iron was also dirty, felt sticky and damaged an item of clothing. Other than that, room, bed and bathroom were clean. Reception staff tried charging different prices for late check out which felt unfair. Staff member during check in tried charging 2x the amount that the different staff stated on the day of check out. £40 was ok for an overnight inc breakfast. Would have been very disappointed to pay more. “deluxe” rooms are a con, they are still very small!
- richardmQ2619XY (4/5): Poor service from reception, cold buffet food and overcharged - I decided to extend my three night stay to five nights. The reception staff decided to charge me the ‘walk up’ rate for an extra two nights, rather than the more favourable online rate which was 20% less. When subsequently challenged, once I realised the difference, they said this was industry standard and refused to do anything about it. This combined with the mis-functioning electronic door entry system, the bath gel not being refiled and the mostly cold food at the dinner buffet (MYR 88) meant that my stay was a lot less comfortable than it should have been! In addition both the main pool and children’s pool were full of young children on the two occasions I went to the roof which made swimming impossible. The gym bench seat was broken. The staff servicing the rooms and the security staff were pleasant.
- Xin-Fang (8/5): Popular hotel for business meeting and event - I was here to attend a workshop conducted by my company. The package we had inclusive of breakfast, morning tea break, lunch, afternoon tea break, dinner and supper snack. The deluxe double room was spacious and clean. Water dispenser is available in the common area in addition to the complimentary bottled water found in the room. Staffs were courteous and helpful. The limitation that I can think of is the food variety and taste. Food variety was OK, but taste was salty to my liking.
- loladelia (8/5): Amazing views from Deluxe Balcony Room - Staff: Amazing service from staff. Professional, friendly and always ready to help. Room: Deluxe Balcony Room (3 nights) Room price is reasonable. Room is very spacious and comfortable. Clean linen. Bed is comfortable. View from balcony is amazing against the sunset. There is a filtered water dispenser at the corridor near the lift lobby - you can use the jug available in the room to fill it up. A great way to cut down on use of plastic water bottles. Downside - maintenance team need to improve. The door latch was broken (looks like they used smaller screws than what’s needed). The wardrobe sliding door didn’t operate smoothly so I just left it open during my stay. What’s available near hotel: There is a supermarket with a bakery at the same building of the hotel. There is also a Mr DIY and 7-11. Food truck is a few minutes walk away. Okay variety of food. There’s a live band playing. Had no issues for me (might want to consider if you’re sensitive to noise).

My daughter got a chicken wrap with a little fill and hard texture. Sate were tolerable. Worst pasta I’ve had, unsightly, dry and cold. Very common and unattractive parts of foods. We’re stationed on the right side of the entrance and the place is hot & uncomfortable. Staff was okay, they will always clean the table.

- Data Center (4/5): Worst Putrajaya Hotel - The hotel is too old to charge like a 4star rate. The room smells old n over used. The bed got bed bugs cos i woke up with spots and sore eyes due to bed bugs. The pillow is like been uses for thousands of time. The walk way is old This hotel room should be price rm50-100 then its worth the stay.

- Dorothy (6/5): - The outside of the hotel needs work; be aware that parking is in the basement of the shopping center and you have to take the card with you to validate your parking. That is if you can find anyone to validate the parking - they either have people lined up checking in/out or the desk clerks are no where to be found. We just paid for parking because it wasn’t worth the hassle. The bar is closed which is why we picked the hotel and nothing on the website said it was closed. There is nothing at this location, so you will need a car if doing any activities. I would only stay at this hotel if I needed a place to stay for one night.

- Wan (4/5): - Hotel location near Sultan Mizan mosque and lake was breathtaking. Check in took 25 minutes waiting in line. Only 1 person at front desk during peak check in time. Room given was not cleaned, bed not made! Given nicer room to compensate, but no towels or hangers provided. Towels finally arrived after 5 hours! Room safe was not attached to any surface. Anyone can walk away with your valuables! Room was nice but the maze of corridors can be claustrophobic.

- Verified traveler (8/5): 4 stars service with 2 stars amenities - Overall it was a pleasant stay and quite crowded. Arrived at 3pm and queued for 20mins for check in. Social distancing not really in place. Elevator is very slow.. please come out earlier if you're in a hurry. Overall, room is quite clean and tidy. Only downside is the amenities are not up to 4 stars standard. No indoor slippers, only 2 bath towels (no bath ropes, no hand towel, no floor mat). Called recep and even emergency but no one bothered to pick up. If you're a self sufficient person, Dorsett is still a good place to stay. Forgot to mention that my room view sucks, viewing internal piping and a run down side building so I kept my curtain down all the time.

- AZMANZAIFIKAR (10/5): - If you happen to be in town for a meeting or a course, you'll have to give this hotel a try. Walkable distance to various govt buildings around plus a lot of eateries nearby eg Putrajaya Food Trucks during the night. The lake's view is awesome with the famous Sultan Mizan Mosque just across the road.
- Dr Krisina (4/5): - Definitely not a 4 star hotel! I stayed for one night yesterday and definitely regret the stay. Shocked to see the hotel was actually a first floor of a shop lot. Old building with stain, not a properly serviced air cond. leaked ceiling! Bfast was the trigger, bad! No coordination at all. No frequent meal top up. Maybe there was an event or meeting going on, hence quite a number of people. I truly did not enjoy my stay!

- Arne (6/5): Ghost town - This "city" is practically a ghost town. Huge, wide boulevards, enormous buildings, and virtually no people on the streets.
