Guest Reviews
- Nigel (9/5): - Lovely village pub, warm hospitality from a genial host, good pub food and very comfortable accommodation at a decent price. Nothing
- Shaun (10/5): -
- Ian (10/5): Top Notch. - A fantastic place to stay. The room was well decorated with nice , clean furniture, it was spotlessly clean and the bed was so comfortable.
The pub itself was a great place to eat and drink at very reasonable prices. The food was freshly cooked to perfection , very well presented and very tasty.
The owners were lovely people, helpful, chatty and you could tell that our custom was valued.
There is nothing to dislike about the Angel Inn and it will be my go to place from now on when I need accommodation in the area. There is nothing to dislike about The Angel Inn. 5/5 without a doubt.
- Callum (10/5): Unreal il be back (arnie) haha - Staff amazing so welcoming easy to talk too did everything we asked

- Hannah (8/5): Very comfortable stay and good value - Very welcoming and good food and beer! We spent the evening at the pub eating, drinking and playing board games. It was an ideal base to rest in between visiting family. Would stay there again
- Paul (4/5): Spolit by smelly room - Comfortable room, helpful staff No mention that dogs were allowed to stay....my room smelt like a dog kennel, woke up with a sore throat...I'm allergic to dog canker, if there was mention of dogs I wouldnt have booked
- Richard (10/5): -
- Paul (10/5): Brilliant ! Would definitely stay again and probably take the extended family ! - What a fantastic short stay. We went to Misson to investigate our namesake and couldn't believe how hospitable both Andy and Adele were. They really made us feel welcome and did us a beautiful Sunday lunch (quite a bit of a chef is Andy !) and more than accomplished my wife's dietary needs being vegan / vegetarian - not me though - I had the rib roast beef and it was stunning. The Guinness was a blooming good pint too !
The accommodation was an annexe style building with comfortable double bed, bathroom and tea / coffee making facilities. Everything was spotlessly clean ! As far as we were concerned, there was absolutely nothing to dislike !
- Vitalina (10/5): Comfortable, pleasing and first class all round. - Excellent location. Quiet and out of the way, yet accessible to explore the surrounding areas. Ample parking and grassed areas.
Accomodation very comfortable, tasteful and well equiped. Both pub and accomodation dog friendly.
Proprietor, Adele, very friendly, accomodating and accesible. Made us feel very welcome.
Thoroughly recommend The Angel Inn, Misson. Everything exactly to our liking!

- Graham (8/5): -
- Michelle (10/5): Absolutely perfect, exceptional service for money too. - Great location for work, extremely clean & fan food too.
- Malcolm (8/5): Lovely welcoming landlady, excellent food lovely atmosphere in bar/ restaurant - Very friendly welcome, room was clean tea and coffee provided as well as hot chocolate and biscuits. The room was disability friendly, the bedroom area was very nice, with lovely decor. A beautifully made up bed with excellent quality bedding. The evening meal was excellent and delicious, a very cosy welcoming dining area with very attentive staff. The bed although beautifully made up was very soft, we kept rolling into the middle. The bathroom was very impersonal ( although there were attempts to make it more normalised it still looked like a public toilet) Unfortunately it had a very noisy extractor fan which was very annoying. We didn’t like coming straight Ito the room from outside especially as it was pouring rain when we left he next morning!!
- Fenella (8/5): -
- Hancock (10/5): - Recommend highly !
- Entwistle (10/5): -

- Keith (10/5): Excellent. - Passing through area on motorcycles and found the Angel Inn on Booking.com. The owners and staff were excellent and ensured our stay was trouble free. Evening meal and huge breakfast (couldn't finish it!) can't be faulted. The room was comfortable and clean. The area is quiet and parking on site. Would stay again.
- Stuart (10/5): -
- Hancock (10/5): Great hosts , lovely pub and locals - Every thing!
- Julia (7/5): Staff and locals were so friendly. Great pub with hard working owners. Thank you. - Pub was really great. Chef kept kitchen open so we could have a meal - delicious Thai curry! The room was perfect, warmed up in no time and was clean with refreshments including bottled water in the fridge. The bed in room 1 was comfortable, but would have been better for 1 person as it bounced and rebounded when you turned over…
- DiHodges (8/5): Friendly place - The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Our room was a good size and with lovely decor. Bottled water in the room fridge is a nice touch particularly after a long journey. Breakfast was superb ,piping hot and quality ingredients. It wasnt a problem for us as only a one night stay but we could not get a WiFi signal.
- jayne (8/5): Great place to stay. We will stay again . - Very comfortable beds & clean room.
Parking was directly outside the room which was really great.
- Olivier (10/5): Fantastic - The staff is always going beyond expectations. And facilities are so clean

Accommodation exceptional clean tidy enough tea and coffee to last hot show even a hair dryer !!
For a country pub this an 11.
I can’t fault it Nothing
- Sheila (7/5): Helpful location. - Rooms had external door - no stairs etc! We hadn’t realised the pub might close at 9 on the Sunday but the owners were kind enough to leave our room accessible - we arrived at 21.10!

- Helen (9/5): Lovely village - fantastic pub - fabulous food - Lovely stay at The Angel, fabulous hosts and a beautiful village with plenty of friendly locals. Food at The Angel was amazing We had an accessible room (we hadn't requested this or needed this) for two nights but the shower was not working. Mentioned this to the host who said they would sort this out but unfortunately it didn't get fixed in the time we spent there.

- Pawel (10/5): Brilliant - Highly recommend this beautiful pub perfect in every way staff very friendly and accommodating was perfect,Great atmosphere in the pub and food was brilliant.
- Nick (7/5): Ok and friendly staff. - Nice a peaceful to be honest, nice friendly helpful staff and easy to find and good parking. Shower just about covered you very weak flow and the whole floor got wet, room never got replenished which we managed but would have been nice to come back to each day.

- Ruth (10/5): Have rebooked - Excellent Food ,
Really lovely atmosphere, very comfortable beds !
- Joanne (9/5): Great dog friendly place to stay - I loved the friendliness of the family running the Angel Inn, I also really loved the way that the accommodation is set at the side of the pub so less noise. Accommodation was very clean and beds were comfy, plenty of beverages and a fridge with water in was a lovely touch.
We were all welcomed included our chihuahua Stella. I didn't not like anything, although my husband would have liked Neckoil on draught 🤣
- Amanda (8/5): Very good -
- Richard (8/5): Very good -
- Chris (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kołodziej (10/5): Excellent - Very friendly staff, delicious food, great atmosphere, pool and darts available, lovely owners who bonded with my dog. What stood out was the exceptional cleanliness and attention to detail. Great value for money. I’ll definitely come back!
- Julian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Duncan (9/5): Superb -
- James (7/5): Good -
- Allison (9/5): Absolute silence!! - Adele & Andy were very friendly & welcoming as were the locals in the pub. The food was great, even if Andy forgot the king prawns with my salmon & king prawn summer veg risotto!! I had them as a side part way through!! The room was clean & well equipped. The bathroom was spacious & clean. The bed was softer than we are used too, but comfy. The one thing we were astounded by was just how completely quiet the village was. There is no through traffic, no tractors, no lawnmowers - utterly silent apart from the church clock chiming - absolute bliss!! That there is no shelf in the shower to put your shampoo etc on - I mentioned it to Adele and she said that they would rectify it.
- Steve (8/5): I’ve booked twice now and would recommend - Comfortable, spacious, very clean room and bathroom. Pub is also nice and food looks good Only negative is some marks on carpet and walls
- Paul (9/5): Superb - Andy and Adele made us feel very welcome including our dog (tinker)with a home from home feel in the pub. The accommodation was a separate annex a 30 second walk from the pub. Ample parking facilities,a lovely outside garden area. We ate one night in the angel Inn and the food was excellent and they accommodated our dietary requirements 👍 . The village itself is a lovely English village. We would definitely love to stay here again!! The outside garden furniture could be better..
- Berenice (6/5): Pleasant, but lacking attention to detail to make it into a great stay. - Warm welcome from hosts, very friendly throughout our stay. Pleasant, popular pub location. Good food, good variety of choices. Lovely sunny garden, recently set out for new season. Room was clean, and reasonably comfortable. We wonder whether the hosts have stayed in their rooms? This would allow them to see issues. We believe they are fairly new as landlords and hosts.
Very cold room on arrival despite warm day. Bathroom smelt musty. Room seemed as if it had been closed up for a while. Needed airing and warming up before guests.
Room not serviced during 4 night stay. On third day, we had to ask for milk to be replenished, shown where stocks are kept, told to help
ourselves . As there is a fridge, why not put a small bottle of fresh milk in it?
Towels changed on 3rd day, we would have been happy to keep one set for whole visit.
Bins not emptied.
No hooks for coats/jackets by door.
Only 4 coat hangers on long hanging rail.
No shelf in shower for toiletries, had to put things on floor.
Noisy fridge, had to unplug it at night
Why not have small microwave for longer stay guests?
Bedding old and well-washed, not smooth on skin.
Big green (safety/fire security) light above door, so, so annoying at night. Surely it was obvious where to exit the room!!
TV not set up properly. Every time you turned it on, had to go through some installation menus. Would confuse a lot of people. Test these things, please.
Garden chairs and tables were outside rooms. These were covered in cobwebs and bird poo. They needed a good wipe down. A quick job, which shows you are on top of things.
Lots of little and slightly bigger things to attend to, it’s about attention to detail! This could be a really great place to stay, please hosts - get it right to move your business forward.
- Jayne (10/5): Definitely going back - Highly recommend this beautiful pub perfect in every way staff very friendly and accommodating was perfect Nothing
- Andrew (10/5): Excellent - Adele knows what she is doing. - I've stayed there before; location is perfect for my friends in MIsson. Clean and comfortable and well priced.
- Ilaria (9/5): Superb - Very cute inn, situated in a small town. It had everything that we needed for a night! I would definitely stay there again.
- Christine (9/5): Wonderful, friendly place to stay; Peaceful, relaxing with fantastic food. What more could you want - I can't recommend the Angel Inn highly enough. We did not know Misson, simply chose the location as a convenient place to meet but loved this village, it is so peaceful, no traffic noise just birdsong and the delightful chiming of the church clock. There is so much history here and I would recommend a wander around the village, down to the river, pop into the church - you can tell that there is a great sense of community here. The Angel Inn is wonderful, a lovely village pub, unbelievably friendly with great beers and excellent EXCELLENT! food. Really, the choice is so good and the quality and presentation exceptional. The hosts are lovely, friendly, helpful and certainly strive to make your stay the best it can be, we certainly felt very welcome. There is plenty of parking, the rooms are lovely, welcoming and well-decorated; they come with a refrigerator which is a real bonus! They are all ground-floor, and the en-suites are large and accessible which is brilliant for the less mobile. We loved our stay here and will certainly return. Thank you Andy and Adele!! Loved it all!
- Madeleine (9/5): Value for money - It was quiet, warm and clean. It was perfect for our stay. The food was amazing We didn't receive our key code so called the pub who kindly gave it to us but they weren't open until 4pm
- Randolph (10/5): The warmest welcome I have had from staff and locals , the pub and accommodation was immaculate , a well stocked bar and - Outstanding the best place I have ever digged at Nothing
- Richard (10/5): Exceptional -
- Giles (8/5): Best chips in the UK ! - good food, in fact best gammon and chips I have had in a very long time
friendly staff N/a
- Donna (8/5): Very good stay , easy access ground floor rooms, bathroom is a wet room.clean and tidy, has all you need . Excellent foo - Easy access rooms with parking just outside. Nice and quiet the only noise you hear is the church bells. Just across the carpark in the pub which service excellent food and lovely friendly staff and locals too. Nothing we didn’t like , could benefit from somewhere to put toiletries while having a shower in the wet room.
- John (1/5): Bad -
- Jay (9/5): Good pub, and accommodation will return to try the food. - Perfect for our stay, lovely friendly pub. Online advertised bar open until 11pm, but appreciate if no body in close early.
Room was clean and tidy wood be nice to have fresh milk in the rooms as there is a fridge.
- Chris (9/5): Superb - The local pub meals were fantastic. Adele was friendly and provided fantastic recommendations of nice walks around the village. Really friendly locals who made us and our dogs feel welcome at the Inn. The WiFi was not compatible with my work laptop and I had to wake up at 6am and drive to Bawtry to sit in the car where there was signal to get some urgent work done.
It’d be nice if this was made clear on the website that signal coverage is poor here
- Spiers (10/5): Super Break . - excellent service def be back. nothing
- Rachel (8/5): Very good - Perfect location of a local wedding.
Lovely clean rooms.
- Tim (6/5): Good location. Rooms could benefit from a spruce up - Good location. Plenty of parking. Nice hostess. Room was clean and had good shower that was hot. Bed comfortable. Wi fi didn’t work. Hot water seems literally to stop at certain time of the day. Rooms whilst clean were tired. Loud fridge in room. One of the rooms had quite a noticeably damp smell.
