• Annalee (10/5): - We loved it! Property was very cute (not new but very cozy and comfortable) and clean. Staff was fantastic. Loved having two bedrooms and a kitchen. Storage/laundry below the unit was awesome. The pool was large/clean and had plenty of shade nearby.

• Thomas L. (8/5): Nice little place - Just the right amount of space for three of us. Everything in very good condition. Lovely grounds. Sloping floors in Unit 7 bathroom were scary. VRBO and owner should have done a better job coordinating check-in. Excellent central location. Breakfast at The Wooden Spoon across the highway is a must-do!

• Laura (6/5): Just ok - Clean enough. Furniture uncomfortable. Kitchen pretty well equipped. If you’re looking to kayak or have a boat to dock l, think it’s as good a place as any. Staff friendly, pool uber clean. Ok stay, maybe not worth the price though

• Verified traveler (10/5): - The design of the units are unique and while some may say dated I'd say awesome. Staff was attentive and we had all the basics needed to be able to cook, etc. You should understand these are older units so things like the windows whistle with the wind and a few of them where the seals were broken. In all loved the location and being honest we didn't spend tons of time inside, after all we were there for all that FL has to offer outside!

Pool area is clean with plenty of chairs, tables and shade when needed. Nice area and close to lots of activities and good seafood!

Awesome with two bathrooms, full kitchen to save money by grocery shopping and cooking on vacation, and washer/dryer for laundry. Beach towels are provided. Great sunset view.

Beautiful marine life everywhere. The trees and gardens were beautifully kept. Couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay!

• Jeanne S. (10/5): Central Location in the Keys - We had a great stay at The Reef in Marathon. We have two teens and the accommodations were perfect - one master and one bedroom with two twins. The listing showed one bath, which I was dreading, but it is actually TWO full baths. It is just what you need to have more space than a hotel room, but not break the bank staying in other more pricey resorts. We saved over $2K for the week compared to other two bedroom condos we looked at, and used that $ to deep sea fish, take tours, and do excursions. Centrally located between Key West and Islamorada, so great if you want to trade the prices for a little bit of driving.
• Jeffery H. (4/5): Not as billed - Overall the stay was ok. The Keys are fabulous, and this is our first get away since the pandemic. However the property is old. The first night the A/C went out, 85 degrees at night. The property is right next to a busy highway, and was not relaxing. Finally the last day we were forced to change units because of som kind of scheduling issue. The change absorbed most of the morning. We won’t be back. This is also the second time I have gone to a VRBO property and it has been located on a busy road. You guys get 1 more chance.

• Charolette (10/5): Great for families - Great family place. Pool was just the right temperature. Safe place. Rooms were sufficient for a family. Lights at night for a good walk around the place. Teenagers could swim in the pool without worries because it’s a safe, clean, comfortable environment. Loved that marathon is not as busy as key west and had better beaches and snorkeling. Seemed more family friendly than key west.
• Verified traveler (10/5): - I loved having a kitchen. The pool was warm. It was a cute place but if your picky the road noise was there and the bathroom was a tad small but it was worth the money and clean! Great location!

• Aaron S. (10/5): Overall smooth sailing - Had an issue with the booking initially but the manager or property owner quickly resolved. Just be sure to double check your reservations before you head out is my only advice. Overall the property has everything your family could want, I.e., kayaks, paddle boards, bikes, pool, water access, and even laundry at each villa. Plenty of things for the family and we will be back again.
• Danelle V. (10/5): Perfect Location Great Stay - Clean property, great amenities including pool and kayaks and paddle board. Washer and dryer located under house. Loves the view of the water! Would definitely recommend to folks. Staff were nice. Tennis courts and basketball court were enjoyed by my kids.
• Julie G. (8/5): Great Vacation! - We enjoyed the property. The unit was a little small with tiny outdated bathrooms, but enjoyed having the small kitchen and living room to spread out some. We had a great view, but it would be nice to have bar height chairs to sit and enjoy the water view from the deck. The laundry and storage room were also very nice to have. The location was wonderful and we loved using the paddleboards and kayaks. The little cove offered some amazing wildlife viewing. We saw nurse sharks, spotted eagle rays, pufferfish, and baracudas while paddleboarding/kayaking. The pool is small but it was nice and warm and a good place to sit and soak up the warm sunshine. The overall grounds were nice and well maintained. Our check in process was smooth, but we did arrive during the designated 4-5pm window. We had problems communicating with the property manager through VRBO prior to our arrival, so I had to call VRBO. When we called the property manager directly they said they did not have our reservation. I had to spend a lot of time with the VRBO specialized team to find out if we did indeed have a reservation. Apparently the reservation gets booked through Expedia after you book on VRBO, as this is not a private owner but a timeshare property. After some significant time spent on the phone we were finally able to figure it out and they did indeed have our reservation. We would definitely stay again, but I would probably book directly with The Reef instead of through VRBO. Double check with the property before you leave that they have your reservation if you book through VRBO! I have seen this as an issue by prior renters as well.
• Dan (10/5): - Unique individual units are well maintained and comfortable. This is a good place for a getaway or to spend some "recharge" time away from the crowd.

• Angie (8/5): - Beautiful view from this property and we enjoyed using the free kayaks and canoes. They did not have our reservation when we arrived and said Expedia never sent it to them. Because of this, we had to stay in one unit for one night and then moved to another unit midstay. That was a pain. Be sure to confirm your reservation directly with the hotel, even though Expedia says you don’t have to.
