Guest Reviews
- Gary Lumber (10/5): - Really pleasant helpful staff. Great breakfast very reasonably priced. Would recommend to all !!
- Mustan (2/5): Avoid / Bring Solid Ear Plugs - Terrible Terrible place to stay. Avoid like the plague. Walls are literally paper thin. Lound music from pub goes on till past midnight with awful live music. Bathrooms are miserable - no soap; no hot water; shower is a pathetic dribble.
- Karen (8/5): - Staff were very friendly . The room was ok but no running hot water and the toilet seat was not clean . The staff were excellent.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Disgusting lack of Security - Extremely scary stay at this inn as the second night of our stay culminated in someone using a duplicate room key to enter our room at 2 am in spite of deadlocking the door. to add insult to injury there was no member of staff on the premises and the intruder although retreating from our room proceeded to play very load music/tv and shout and scream from 2 am to 4.30 am.There was no emergency contact point or telephone number in our room. I have finally managed to speak to the manager today whose attitude was it was an individual guests responsibility to be secure. There were other issues regarding this Inn so I would strongly advise any prospective clients to think again about booking here.
- Brian (4/5): - First impressions were not good at all. Litter everywhere, what little garden there was was just weeds strewn. The car park was full of pot holes and lots of broken glass lying around. Inside the reception area and stairs looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in days. Inside the room wasn’t too bad except that the sealant round the bath was covered in mould. Last but not least, the lounge bar where we had a drink was so dilapidated and just felt grubby. We will not be going anywhere near the place again and would not recommend it to anyone else.
- Margaret (10/5): - Stayed here before and always found it very relaxing and enjoyable.
- Ashley (4/5): - Wine bottle found in room on arrival and sweets under the bed. Very nasty smell of bleach when eating breakfast
- Michael (4/5): - On arrival we checked in was told breakfast was available and also asked about food for evening we were charged additional 10 pound for breakfast. Came down at half past 6 for food on evening to be told they stopped serving at 630 but could order a takeaway not acceptable. Room was noisy as above the bar area and individual on a microphone while i was trying to sleep. Came doŵn in morning just after 730 planning to load my stuff into the car to find out we were locked in i couldnt get to my vehicle. Also find out the breakfast we had beeñ charged for they didnt start serving till 9am but this wasnt mentioned at time of booking. If knew that would not have booked as needed tò be at appointment at 9am.
The tv in my room number 3 had power to it but wouldnt turn on, curtains weren't on rail propeŕley so would not close right. No one about at 730 to speak to to try and resolve issues. Basically held hostage in hotel till someone arrived.
NOT IMPRESSED AT ALL
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Enjoyed our stay, staff very friendly
- Simon (10/5): - Absolutely brilliant a great place to stay very friendly
- Duncan (6/5): - Saturday evening menu very limited
Bathroom cold but water hot for Bath
Staff very helpful
- Donna (6/5): - Clean comfy room, bathroom wasn’t to good though. Staff..well one lad very rude think his name Coben but rest were lovely and happy to help and we’re friendly
- Peter (8/5): - Nice and clean. Good value for money. Food was nice.
- Jamie (8/5): Nice hotel with friendly staff - Very nice hotel and bar with friendly staff. Great atmosphere in the lounge. The room was nice with an excellent view of the north sea and also tynemouth. Would definitely stay here again.
- Darren (10/5): - Great stay
- K (8/5): Great hotel - Nice hotel , very handy for Sunderland centre. Hotel was clean catered for all our requirements. Service from staff was good , free car park and handy for beach.
Breakfast was good.
Handy for public transport into the city.
Nice hotel.
- Miksa (10/5): - Lovely place. Close to the seaside.
- OLWEN (6/5): - Lovely building just needs some tlc and lacks attention to detail
- Karen (10/5): - It was clean tidy very friendly meal were excellent the room was very comfortable
- Hannah (2/5): Shocked - I’n desperate need for some renovations, dirty and unkept. Staff so unfriendly and face like thunder. Explained although I was a little early (1.15) and had driven 5 hours if the room was ready, to which she said no without checking, until a few minutes later someone said the rooms are ready. Felt unsafe, and uncomfortable so much so I checked into somewhere else. Not to self read reviews before booking. Oh and to top it off the fire escape door at the back was chained locked.
- Nichola (10/5): - Very nice stay
- Gloria (10/5): - Food good niice. And clean good location
- Helen (2/5): Don’t waste your money - First time staying at the Marsden Inn Hotel and certainly will be the last. The room was a good size but don’t think it’s ever seen a duster, cobwebs hanging from light to light. The remote control clearly had years of grime and dirt attached to it. The mould on the walls could have easily been cleaned. The electrics in the bathroom were suspect as there was hanging cables from the sink area where a blue light flickered on and off. The shower and tap pressure was very weak. The buzzing from the fuse box went on all night long. Loud dance music playing well after midnight both nights where it kept you awake. Clearly had no respect for paying guests. The bar area certainly needs an upgrade and don’t even get me started on the unhygienic bathrooms in the bar area. It’s very sad to see a hotel that has been around for many years in such array, the outside area is very unkept and needs a good tidy.
- William (8/5): Good hotel, but avoid Wednesday stays - The room and general condition of the hotel was good; however, when I stayed on Wednesday night it was their music night until 11:00 p.m. I had an early start the following day, and couldn't get to sleep. Tried phoning to complain at 10:45, but no-one answered.
- Claire (2/5): - There was a band playing directly below the room - so loud the furniture was vibrating- until 2315. No hairdryer, TV reception patchy, food served lukewarm, breakfast not served until 9am and no one to let me out of the property at 7am despite being told there would be. Awful place.
- Irene (10/5): - We liked the atmosphere and age of the property.
We would have liked the property to have been a little nearer to the town.
- Tom (4/5): - We had no remote control for the tv, which we reported. My partner has sleep apnea so needed the power on to use her machine. The tv was on all night as we couldn’t turn it off, so maybe got 2 hours sleep!
- Jackie (6/5): - Very basic but room nice
Shower head need’s updating
- Richard (8/5): - Friendly and welcoming
Good breakfast
- Martin (8/5): - Ideal location for visiting friends and family
- Darrin (8/5): More consideration to overnight guests required! - Our initial room was small and did not have a lot of natural light, the reception staff kindly found us an alternative, which was significantly bigger, brighter and away from the road. However we hadn’t anticipated the noise and disturbance every night of our three night stay from the loud music coming from the bar below. The sound proofing is poor and listening to Fleetwood Mac at 1.30am is not conducive to a good restful night’s sleep for us. The water pressure in the bathroom and shower is poor and trickles out. The bedroom was clean, tidy and bed comfortable. However the premises do need some TLC. We visit the area frequently and due to the noise would not recommend or revisit.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Friendly helpful staff - Beds are extremely comfy heating wasvery good.tea coffee and biscuits good. Wall tv but couldnt find remote. Water pressure bathroom sink very poor however ok with the bath taps.
- Joyce (10/5): - Brilliant
- John (2/5): - I was a very bad experience all round.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Ok - Bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Improved tea/coffee facilities and bathroom toiletries were appreciated. Sea view was a bonus.
Water pressure is still an issue, I decided not to wash my hair as not sure if I'd be able to rinse it properly.
- Barry (10/5): - You get so much for your money & staff very friendly
- Del (8/5): - Hotel was great, just the weather that was poor, staff helpfull just not always available.
- John (4/5): - Booked with breakfast but was charged £9.75 was not happy owner says I never booked with breakfast but I did
- Karen (10/5): Very friendly - Nice and easy to find with plenty of parking.
- Mrs Wendy A (6/5): Never again - Very run down food was terrible and only seved untill 6.30pm the room was clean and comfortable but the whole place needs updated and cleaned ...surrounding area and outside space was like a building sight
- Martin (8/5): Good value. - Room was excellent. Clean and spacious. Bathroom good, although the blue flashing light is annoying. Water pressure is very low so showering is an issue. Good value.
- Charlotte (10/5): Lovely little pub near the beach - Our lil trip of one night got off to a bad start. As we went to check in we realised we had booked the wrong day! They lasso dealt was with it, was amazing and made accommodations for us. Not a trip wasted in the end. It’s not sparkling clean but clean enough for us. The shower didn’t really work but for a night we could cope with that. The room was decent and enough to get our heads down at night. The bed was very comfy. Was lovely, they were all soo friendly!
- Laureen (10/5): My stay - Lovely big room, the bed was very comfortable. The pillows were a bit hard for me but is just personal preference, I like a softer bouncier pillow. Lovely clean bathroom, shower was a little disappointing but it served its purpose and got me clean. Not sure if the lighting under the vanity in the bathroom was meant to flash but that was interesting 😂. Would definitely recommend staying.
- Donna (8/5): Great service! - Extremely helpful staff, we ordered food upon check in and had it delivered to our room promptly. The service was excellent by the receptionist and young man who did breakfasts. We had a very pleasent stay.
- Jason (8/5): Cheap night away - Standard kind of room you expect from a pub, could do with some upgrades and decoration but wasn't expecting too much for £50 a night
- Audrey (10/5): Short stay - Room was large and comfortable.
Entertainment downstairs, would be noisy if your a light sleeper.
I will stay here again
- Rebecca (6/5): Not great!!! - We stayed here for the start of our coast to coast walk. Probably been a lovely building in the past, but currently in need of repairs. It’s situated on a busy roundabout, but close to the beach which is down a steep hill. Friendly lady on reception. Rooms were adequate in size, and we all slept well in the beds.. however one of the rooms had a drain smell which was awful. We had a blue light under the sink unit in the bathroom which needed switching off as it constantly flashed on/off. No plug sockets at side of bed, however found 2 in the open wardrobe unit. Rooms were clean as was bedding.
The rear of the building is disgusting, weeds and rubbish everywhere. Breakfast was offered as small or large, by a friendly member of staff. The full English was ok, but the rest of us had scrambled eggs on toast which was tasteless and the toast was more of a soggy bread. The eggs were the palest eggs I have ever seen, no evidence of a yolk!
The noise from the bar downstairs was as you would expect and from the smokers at the back of the building too, but this quieter after 11pm. There was a party in the function room on the same floor as the bedrooms which you could hear constantly.
Overall I wouldn’t recommend staying here. It’s more expensive than a travel lodge etc at £50.00 per room then extra for breakfast. The place needs some attention and if it did, it could be a great place to stay!!
- robert (10/5): - Here to surprise an old friend. Staff here were very kind and friendly. Great location
- Alastair (10/5): Couple review June 2022 - A 3 night break in a clean, friendly atmospheric location. A lovely welcome upon arrival and the room was as good as the pictures had shown.
The location itself was only a 5 minute walk away from Marsden bay and this leads to a beautiful coastal walk into South Shields beach itself.
Will definitely be visiting the area again and I'll be checking if there are any rooms available at Marsden Inn first!!!
- Dave (8/5): - Staff friendly and welcoming, breakfast good, table service was slow in the afternoon food was ok, bedroom clean and fresh, bed and bathroom good, i would stop there again and staff helpful when asked 🍻🍻😉👍
- Karen (10/5): - Very friendly run family pub, food great great place.
- Emma (10/5): Beautiful room - Absolutely lovely room very surprised clean and comfortable would definitely go again
- Lorraine Clarke (8/5): Review Marsden INN - Good room at good price, but no breakfast available until 11.00 and on some days too late for us. As there was a pub downstairs the music was very loud on certain days. Fortunately the pub closed at midnight. Close to Marsden beach which we liked
- dominic (2/5): - Noisy pub with Quiz and karaoke nights till 11.30pm,Room tired and not maintained ,poor shower and tap water pressure. Bed side lights both not working. Room clean just too noisy for us and no food at all !
- Hilary (4/5): Extremely disappointing. - Rather disappointing.
Room was not clean. Dirt in corners, marks on furniture. Not dusted. White marks (you can guess what on main chair and sink in bathroom cracked. None around to complain and no one around for checkout..
Very noisy until 1130hrs due to Inn band which I was expecting but not a barking dog.
Will not be going here again. INN REQUIRES INSPECTING AGAIN FOR STANDARDS
Have photos if required
- Amanda (10/5): - Lovely building, good view of sea.Pity there was working going on outside my window.I don't think fire extinguisher should be used to prop security doors open and would be good to.have staff on site.I was locked in a had to try everydoor to get out,the out of hours number weren't answered.
- leslie (8/5): Nice option as somewhere to stay - Nice sized rooms, in an old Inn with a great full English breakfast which is well worth saving save for, and you will need to save space. There is a good size car park, and the room we had love views over the North Sea, where you can see the ship and fishing boats heading for the Tyne
- Kevin (4/5): Poor management and shower didn't work. - A sort of last minute booking ( booked earlier the same day as arrival), i arrived at the Marsden inn around 5pm to be told by the bar staff that the manager will be with me in a minute 10 minutes later a rather embarrassed member of bar staff went seen the manager again and ended up taking to my room and left me to it, had a quick wash with only cold water as had plans to meet a colleague in another hotel and at the time i thought it was just an issue with the size of the building getting hot water to the room how wrong was i...... on returning to the Marsden inn later that evening I had a pint in the bar before turning in and sleeping pretty well. When i woke up and went to get a shower found out that the shower did not work at all so was forced at 6.30 to call my colleague and ask could i use his room for a shower in anotherhotel 10 miles away!!! On leaving the pub at 6.55 i was then confronted by the doors locked to exit the building so i managed to undo the bolts and open the doors that then set the building alarm off on my way out !!!
So on the whole apart from my actual sleep the hotel was very very disappointing considering its review score and needs vast improvement to get to were it once was !!!!
- Sanele (2/5): Locked out and spent night in vehicle - Reception was OK, when checking in on 10/12/21, Friday afternoon. Room was clean, with good bedding and heating. Partner and me were attending a wedding nearby, ending after 12 midnight. There was agreement to use the back entrance on return from wedding, with key provided.
On return, at 1.45am, Saturday, the key did not work. There was no one at Reception or anyone on standby for emergency support, as is standard in hospitality. The phone rang and was cutting off, with no message or redirection to an emergency number, from 1.45am to 9am. We stayed in our car, alternating parking at back and front (road); hoping someone might leave or enter. We could not sleep for fear of catching a cold in the freezing winter night. There was no access to a company website, for help. Emails sent were not answered.
Our call was answered finally at 9.02am. Two workers had woken up and were at reception. Lady who had checked us in made her apologies, saying no one works at night. We wanted the incident to be recorded as a formal complaint, even after agreement to get a full refund via Hotels.com. A manager was to follow up the complaint. I received an email to call back an hour after check out, following attempt to call me by “the team”. I replied, asking for a name and number. No reply. After calling Hotels.com, I have had refund processed. The inn worker/s have repeatedly declined manager’s name; with promise that the manager will call back or email complaints procedure. Not done.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great hotel - Needed a budget hotel whilst visiting friends and family in the north east and came across this on Hotels.com. The hotel was easy to find and upon arrival the hotel / bar staff were very friendly, helping us check in, show us to our room & booking a taxi for us. The room was very modern and nicely decorated and we had a sea view which was lovely. Pleasantly surprised and would stay here again.
- Christine (6/5): Lovely friendly staff, but sadly short in number. - We stayed over a weekend, and the room was clean, comfortable, and tidy. Very understaffed though, and on the last day breakfast wasn’t available until 10am due to staff shortages. We had a double room with sea views in the distance, which was great. Unfortunately there was an intermittent unpleasant smell from the toilet ☹️
Before we left we weren’t asked how our stay had been. We were told by other guests who were leaving at the same time, that it used to be a great place to stay, but had gone downhill. Such a shame. Lovely building in a great location
- Verified traveler (4/5): The Marsden Bin - We have stayed at the Marsden Inn in South Shields many times but I must say that on this occasion Sat 10th-Monday 12th Nov we found it to be very disappointing. Rooms were comfortable & clean as previous but the service was shocking. There was 6 of us who wanted to have an afternoon meal before going out to meet family. Two of us wanted steaks, 1 wanted a mixed grill and the others wanted steak & chicken sizzlers with fajitas. We were told that there was no steaks we had to make do with chicken or burgers.
The first morning we came down for breakfast it was 9.30am a complete nightmare, waited 15 mins for a coffee, no offer of cereals and the breakfasts took until 10.15am , The bread for the bacon sandwich's was such cheap brown bread and it was not very warm.
We enquired later on the Sunday night what time would breakfast be on the Monday morning, to which we were told 9am, but when we got down to the restaurant 9.10am the doors were locked and we were told that due to staffing problems breakfast wouldn't;t be until 10am, no offer of any drinks were offered, we decided to check out and leave immediately to try to find a suitable place for breakfast. Having stayed here many times , this will be the last.
There was 3 light bulbs out in our room, no hairdryers which was really annoying.
I appreciate we are coming out of a pandemic but management at this hotel now is appaulling.
- Stuart (10/5): Happy stay - Stayed here before will back friendly people food good.
- Tracey (4/5): All the rooms same according to the manager - If you don't want a refreshing shower or want a bath that will take 45 mins to fill, this is the place for you. Basically the sink and bath had no water pressure so we had to go to our daughters to shower/ bath.
Reported to the manager who came and looked and said that all the rooms were like it so if you stay here, you have been warned so no complaining. I can't believe there are a lot if what the manger said is true.
No offer of any recompense so us expecting the basic amenities is us being over expectant clearly.
Enjoy
- Verified traveler (6/5): Average - Friendly staff and quite clean. However, I had a few things that didn’t work in the room.
- Julie (8/5): understand they need activities but disappointed - Stayed here a few years ago when it had shared bathroom/showers , now all rooms are en-suite which was much better.
Water pressure is really poor for showers/baths.
Room was a good size but was above the bar (which had activities on in the evenings), so heard all the noise from there until closing(weren’t advised of activities happening to be able to have the opportunity of a different room) and started with assuming the cleaner playing music at 8:30am
Didn’t eat here, which was by choice as was out and about, so cannot comment on the food.
The hotel is clean, not much interaction from staff, apart from one young girl who was very helpful
When checking out, wasn’t even asked if we had enjoyed out stay!
Shame as it’s in a beautiful spot with great views, walks etc but lacked hospitality skills sadly.
- Nathan (10/5): - Love the decor and its very clean staff is very nice.
- Mr J (6/5): One night stay before the GNR - Reception was good, room was clean and tidy.
Bad points, breakfast started at 9 am as i was running in the GNR and had to catch the Metro at 8am this was not a good start to my day, no hairdryer in room, the shower had very little pressure in the morning, music playing in the bar and we could hear the thud of the bass unit 11 pm.
Would i stay again, no
Would i recommend, i would tell other my experience and let them make there own mind up.
- John (2/5): - I actually checked back out so didn't stay the night. Got taken to two rooms and bothe weren't made up. Place wasn't nice. Surprised this is an option on hotels com
- Sally (10/5): - I always stay at The Marsden Inn when visiting family. Staff very welcoming and friendly. Rooms are fresh and smart. Situated next to the beach... Fantastic.
- Verified traveler (8/5): 2 Night Stay - Lovely old building, full of character inside with nice bars. The rooms have recently been done up to a decent standard with contemporary decor. Every member of staff was welcoming, helpful and friendly.
I was, however disappointed with the room on my first night as the room as I specifically booked a room with a bath but for some reason the room allocated was changed to one with a small shower. I wish I had mentioned my disappointment at the time of checking in as the manager manged to get me a room with a bath for the 2nd night stay after I enquired about the change to my booking.
The cleanliness of the room on first night was also disappointing. There was dust on shelves, the toilet brush was filthy and I also had to wipe the toilet seat which had marks on it before I could sit on it. Its such a shame as the hotel had so many positives.
- Kenneth (10/5): Nice Clean Hotel - Nice clean room with friendly staff, what more can I say!😊
- Pauline (8/5): - Lovely room and staff were really friendly and helpful
- Andrew (8/5): Great value for money - spacious comfortable rooms - We had 2 rooms with views facing the sea. The bed was firm but exceptionally comfortable. Cleanliness was good. Tea and coffee in room. USB connectors in the sockets. The rooms are separated from the function rooms and although there was a party and a wedding reception going on, they didn't disturb us. They don't do any food in the evenings in the pub so we needed to send out. You'd be very hard pushed to get a better value for money deal in the area - we would stay here again!
- Sharon (10/5): - Very comfortable stay with friendly & helpful staff
- Paul (8/5): Great value for money. - Great place. Very much a different place from 20 years ago. Rooms fine. And I got a sea view!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Staff friendly polite
- Heidi (10/5): Great location and great price - Very friendly warm welcome from the staff. My room was beautiful with a view of the sea. It was super clean and comfy and even had a sea view. It's a short walk to the coastal path and beautiful views and beaches. What more could you want! I will definitely stay here again.
- scott (8/5): - Lovely hotel and lovely breakfast. Will be back again
- Tracey (4/5): Hotel Disaster - We booked this hotel as we had a friends birthday to celebrate, we traveled up from Scotland for this trip, we were asked if we would be out later than 11pm which we were going to be, we got a key for the back door to let us in. But when we got there later that night we could not gain entry with the key at all, I tried calling the hotel but no answer and tried banging on both front and back doors, we were stuck in total darkness outside this hotels car park no way of getting in, fortunately we managed to get hold of our friends by phone and they sent a taxi to pick us up, we ended up staying the night at their house, also the shower in hotel room was useless it was only a little trickle of water that came out so had to have a bath. I just think that there should at least be someone manning the reception area as if we did not get our friends we would of been stranded out side all night, I did receive refund for this, but don’t think I would stay there again due to the stress of no one being there to let you in
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Nice welcome and really good service.thanks very much
- Verified traveler (8/5): Weekend break - Comfortable, good location to explore area.
Service wasn't a priority - difficult to locate staff. No hairdryer in room or available from reception even though notice in room stated to just ask.
- David (10/5): - excellant value for money, landlord and starr could not do enough. i will be stopping here again.
- Andrew (10/5): A nice, well appointed property - Its really difficult to truly rate a property in the Coronaverse, however, everything was well appointed, clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful, hence 5 stars
- Lisa (4/5): ery disappointed - Disappointed in this hotel. Rooms were spacious and cool but not very clean. Whole room and bathroom were covered in cobwebs and thick dust. The toilet leaked on the bathroom floor whenever flushed and the toilet brush was dirty. Ordered a breakfast the evening before to be served at 9 am however, there was only a cleaner in sight who said no one was in to cook breakfast and as she had only worked there for one week she was unable to help. Not great considering we were travelling to London so had no choice but to find alternative breakfast arrangements.
- Michael (10/5): Marsden inn - Very easy and quick to book in easy access to your room Breakfast was a good price and nno set time which was good.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Friendly staff and helpful nothing to much trouble
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Took 10 minute for someone to turn up at reception to check in. Though in fairness she seemed to be the only member of staff on duty and was run ragged in the bar.
Room was great, very clean and bed very comfortable.
Could here rowdy Bar noise/music, this went on till about 1am.
Overall, for one night it was value for money and comfortable.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Looks as if it requires some "work" from the outside, reception appears in need of updating but initial impressions were deceiving...... the "room" was very clean, modern and well maintained. Good new shower and comfy bed. Staff were helpful.
- Gordon (10/5): Will visit again - Room good and clean staff very pleasant food very good
- Steve (2/5): - Checked out at 1:30am due to party
- Darren (10/5): - Perfect location, with jarrow just 10 mins away, food was amazing, try the fish and chips you wont be disjointed.
friendly staff and a great pint of worthingtons
- stephen (10/5): - We had a great weekend
Thank to all the staff
food was amazing and good value for money the breakfast was huge and we just said what time
to new manager thank you for a great stay
- Kimberley (8/5): 1 night stay - Visiting family in south sheilds and wanted peace and quiet for 1 night. Managed to get a small room for £30, decent for the price. Nice powerful shower. King bed. Came down to the bar in the morning and was told no breakfast available, however the manager said if we gave him an hour he'd make us 2 full english. Breakfast was really tasty and a generous size. Will be back if we're down again :)
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Interesting old building and extremely friendly staff. Couldn’t do enough for us. Stayed for one night and plan to visit again soon.
- James (6/5): - Was ok bed was covered in black hairs like a dog had been in there , no food available
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The overall condition of the property was very poor actually thought it was closed down when I arrived only I was in a hurry would have looked for another hotel, the staff where very pleasant the room was clean and the bathroom and the bed but the overall look of the place would certainly put me off going again...
- Carolyn (10/5): Good stay - Stayed here for one night for a family function .nice room although could have been cleaned a bit better window sill and frame were dirty and carpet needed a good hoover as when walking around in bare foot could feel bits on carpet . Apart from that we had a good stay and breakfast was lovely and very good price
- K (8/5): Just the job - Personally I found the bed very hard but that's just my preferance. Exceptionally good value for money.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - From the outside you might think twice about staying there but the en-suite room was lovely and clean with plenty of towels, Pub is unusual though, only opening Mon-Wed 15:30 - 21:00 and food only available before 18:30. Breakfast is only served after 09:30 as well.
