• Alessandro (8/5): Affascinante pensione con stanze tatami e onsen - Bella stanza con tatami, struttura accogliente e personale gentile. Ben tre vasche onsen prenotabili (incluse nel prezzo di soggiorno). Nella stanza troverete anche un bellissimo Yukata da indossare mentre siete in camera o andate a farvi un bagno. Futon molto sottili. Se non si è abituati è come dormire a terra.

• iT (10/5): また行きますっ！ - 宿の扉を開けると、懐かしいような不思議な気分。チェックインの前から「また利用します！」と心の中で思ってしまいました。スタッフも対応素晴らしく。そして岩風呂が驚くほど良かった。湯質は勿論の事、魂が浄化されるような気分で楽しめました。あと生ビールが素晴らしく美味しい！ 年紀の入った建物なので当然ながら鄙びている。近代的なサービスを求めるなら宿泊はお勧めできない。
• RYOTA (7/5): おうち - 悪くないのでいいのです。 潔癖の方なら厳しいのかもしれませんが、私は問題ありませんでした。 居心地も良く、コーヒーも温かいのがいただけますし、レンジや冷蔵庫も共用ではありますが使わせてもらえます。 道が一方通行なので駐車場に止めに行くときだけ、ちょっとだけ時間がかかるくらい。絶対イヤ！ってのは何もありませんでした。 トイレが男女同じというのは女性は気になるかもしれませんね。

• Yoshihide (9/5): - 飲食店街にも近く、和風で清潔感がある、なつかしい感じの旅館。普段ベットとユニットバスのビジネスホテルに泊まっている身からすると畳の部屋で落ち着いて新鮮。お風呂が３つ（岩風呂、露天風呂、檜風呂）あり貸切で入れるところが嬉しい。宿の皆さんもすごく親切で丁寧、民宿に泊まったかんじで、そういうのが好きな人は、コスパのバランスが非常によい。色々と調度品が案外凝っているのが宿のご主人のこだわりとも思える。 離れの部屋がそなえつけのWiFiが入りにくですといわれフロント前のソファーに移動。逆に部屋ではスマホをやめてゆっくりするのはよいかも。
• Sabrina (9/5): Schönes Ryokan zu einem guten Preis - Die Zimmer sind ein bisschen in die Jahre gekommen und etwas hellhörig aber das ist normal und kein Problem gewesen. Die anderen Gäste waren sehr rücksichtsvoll und es wurde die Ruhezeit eingehalten. 3 Onsen stehen zur Reservierung und privaten Nutzung zur Verfügung. Es gab leider keine Waschmaschine zur Benutzung. Und Frühstück leider auch nicht, aber es war ein 7eleven in unmittelbarer Nähe.

• JEONGHEON (2/5): 다시 안감 - 온천이 되니 좋았다. 시설은 그럴 수 있다고 생각하는데.. 온천 물채우는 소음(12시까지)이 엄청났고 화장실이 아주 좁았고 변기는 좌변기인데 양변기 플라스틱을 올려놓음 문제는 성인2 아동1해서 결제하고 들어가서 이불장에 이불이 있길래 사용하였으나 돈을 지불하라고 함. 안내내용은 들은게 없는데 무조건 적으로 돈을 지불하라고 함. 안내했으면 사용안했을거임. 자기들 잘못은 인정안함.

• Kai (10/5): Perfect and cosy. Had a great experience - Really cosy ryokan room with a private onsen that u can reserve for a nice bath at the end of the day! Got the room with a private toilet, which is slightly small but functional for your needs. Staff were friendly and explained all the facilities available, such as shared usage of fridge etc, and provided free hot matcha in the free. Really cosy overall ! Private toilets are slightly small but works!

• Karen (8/5): Cheap and good staff with good location - Staff friendly. Great location. Gave me an extra mattress to make me more comfortable. Good private onsen so don’t have to pay to go elsewhere. It’s a little rundown, but nothing too bad.

• Roman (5/5): Passable - It has onsens. The futons on the tatami were too hard (I slept in many traditional style rooms, but this one was the hardest by far). Abd the room was really cold. Not having wifi was disclosed, but this could be fixed easily. There was mold in the bathroom, toilet, sink and the onsens. Only one shared toilet and one shared sink for all the guests with no space to put your things on. The onsen had a slimy floor, didn't seem to be cleaned at all and the water was extremely dirty with hair, residues and other stuff floating around. Maybe coincidentally I got sick with stomach flu during my stay there.

• ダリア (9/5): Great stay in Beppu - The place has character! I really enjoyed the traditional atmosphere. The 3 onsens in the place were great! The location is quite good, easy access by airport bus. Not too long to the bus stations that take you to the main city attractions. Some decent breakfast options nearby.
• Norikazu (6/5): - Here are Pros and Cons: Pros: - Room rate is super excellent relative to the area. - Lady Manager spoke excellent English. - Both owner and manager were really fun to speak and explain the neighborhood. - Room was old but clean, and room lock works. - You can block 1 hour of private Onsen time alone for each room from 3 different Onsen. This is huge plus. - 10-15 min from the train station. Plenty of food options near by. Cons: - Building is really super old. My floor had a slight angle. - Futon was pretty thin for the Japanese standard. - Shared toilet for men and women was inconvenient. - Onsen pump (centrally located in this property) which was noisy until 11:00pm and from 5:00am. Everything else is considered, I would go back to this old house minshuku / ryokan because I had a such fun with owner and manager. I did put my ear plugs in at night. I may bring my own additional camping mat with me next time.

They offer 3 different private baths that you can easily self-reserve via a timeslot board. Bathrooms & refrigerator are shared. Complimentary coffee. The girl who checked me in was perfectly fluent in english (& japanese).

• Gwen (7/5): Not bad but need proper repairs - It as 3 Onsens, very clean, comfy futons, very nice employees and good location. As the other said, it’s a bit old, it reminded me of my grandmother’s house. There is a need for repairs as it feels it’s been like this for a while.
• Haruyuki (10/5): - 今回は小型犬の仔犬と一緒に宿泊させていただきました。 昭和レトロを感じるようなお宿で、決して新しくキレイな感じではないのですが、そこが本当に良くて、自分の家にいるようなホッとした空間でした。 ゲームソフトのぼくの夏休みのような素敵な空間で、一緒に行った家族も普通のホテルに泊まるより良かったと大満足でした。ただ共同の洗面所や御手洗だったりするので潔癖症の方には少し厳しいかも知れません…… 犬も一緒の部屋で日常生活と同じように過ごせていたので、本当に良い旅館でした。あと、温泉もすごく良かったです(*^^*)シャワーがミストや水圧を変えれたりして、長い髪の洗髪も快適でした。

• Paulina (5/5): It’s a very nice place but needs some renovation works - Good location, very nice and caring staff, 3 onsens for private use within the ryokan. This place needs serious refurbishment. It is very old, furniture should be replaced, bathrooms miss a few tiles and the onsens although maintained clean desperately need renovation. We are used to sharing bathroom with other guests in ryokan but one toilet for roughly 5 rooms with a few people in each room is seriously not enough once fully booked. However, we enjoyed the stay overall!

• Remo (10/5): Exceptional - I loved the private baths. There are three types of private hot springs (rock, wood, and open air) which guests can book at night and in the morning for 1 hour without extra fees. I tried all types of baths and they were wonderful. The staffs were very kind, telling me information around the hotel. The location was good, just near the bus stop and 15 min walk from Beppu Station. Nothing.
• Daiji (6/5): - トイレ、洗面台が2階の離れから1階に下りないとなかった。洗面台が流しのみでものを置くスペースがなかった。トイレがオープンの為、小の用を足していると、別の客が来ると丸見え。(入口の鍵をするのかな？）
• Kai (10/5): Exceptional - The staff there could speak english, and helped explain the facilities such as the different onsens. Room was pretty big for one person. Rock onsen was quite unique. The rooms arent soundproof, so if the other guests are noisy you could hear them.

• Vaughn (9/5): Superb - I loved my stay at Kagaya. The staff was super friendly (two spoke fluent English) and helpful. I loved being able to enjoy the baths, which can be rented privately twice a day. I rented the room in the annex which was perfect for me. Very quiet, spacious, and comfortable. I wish there was a wifi amplifier for the annex. I wasn't able to grab a consistent connection and had to use my computer in the main lobby. Not a huge deal though, as I didn't need my computer much.
• Trek5000 (8/5): Onsen, onsen, onsen - that's what you do after a day's sightseeing in Beppu - this Hotel is by the Beppu coast line, the big plus is that it has 3 private onsen which you can book in 1hr slot between 6am - 11am and 5pm-12midnight. 11-5pm the onsens are open to public but i didnt see anyone come in. We stayed in a japanese room/tatami mat but shared toilet. Unable to control the Onsen water temp since it's centrally controlled. We almost always come back late and the water is EXTREMELY hot because they will turn on the pump between 10pm-11pm to ensure water remains hot overnight before turning it on again at 6am.
