Guest Reviews
- Kinnear (9/5): - The staff were very friendly and courteous. The WiFi was a bit intermittent.
A maioria gentis.
Piscina limpa.
Estacionamento grande.
- RAHUL (4/5): - Everything was fine and even staff were doing good , Only bad was their facilities , No toilet paper , No extra bed sheets and blankets inside , Bath towel was Only 1 , Breakfast should be added with some continental breakfast or some fruits salads
- Isabella (10/5): -
- Niels Christian (9/5): - Sødt og opmærksomt staff, fint værelse, god seng, alt rent og pænt
- Mathogonolo (7/5): Pleasant stay - It was all good
Breakfast was nice Lizards that got in the room and ceiling of the kitchen was very dirty
- Anna (6/5): - The rooms were air conditioned and the shower had warm water available with very good pressure. Staff were helpful The decor was outdated and some windows didn't close and had no burglar bars, so I didn't feel very safe
- Geoffrey (9/5): The Lodge is very good. - The breakfast was very good indeed. However, there is room for improvement on the provision of towels of every size and an alarm clock is needed. While the mosquito net is provided, there is need for mosquitoes sprays. I did not like the mosquitoes.
- Geoffrey (9/5): The facility is well located and most of the staff are excellent. They could even provide better Bib - Breakfast was good but they could have had it in variety e.g., eggs, beans' cereal etc. Internet was erratic. It should have been even better,
- Mohammad (5/5): Passable - No Wifi :(
- Dumisani (8/5): Very good -
- Farooq (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was perfect The location and breakfast
And tv only one channel
- Sezuni (6/5): Pleasant -
- Mohammed (5/5): The management need to focus on improving the facilities. - Staff did their best. Very caring and sensitive No electricity, size of the rooms and facilities.
- Gemma (4/5): Not worth it. - The location is very close to the Livingstone Museum and downtown, which is nice. The staff are very helpful. The rooms were definitely outdated. The swimming pool was very dirty and doesn't reflect the pictures shown. The breakfast left MUCH to be desired.
We were told the hotel had HOT water by the reception, only to find out there is no running water in the rooms when load shedding is in effect. Then they said we would have hot water once the generator was running; we get back from dinner and inquire again and were told there was "warm" water for the showers... It was ice cold. After a 2 day safari in Botswana, all my travelling companion and I wanted to do was have a hot shower to wash the bush dust/sweat off. We were given buckets of hot water instead and had to make do with that.
- Tadwala (1/5): Bad - Room is no so clean and so much dirty Nothing at all
- David (8/5): Friendly staff and comfortably stay - The nicest staff work here! Very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Breakfast was tasty and the hotel is a short walk from the main road. The bar area was nice and the staff put on the game we wanted to watch. Good value. I would stay here again.
- Phosa (5/5): Advise the facility to prioritise hygiene. Infections are all over and can hit anytime. - It is not far from most attractions. Cleanliness is not their style. Coffee mugs were dirty and they did not have detergents when requested so we can personally wash the mugs. Meals were served late and the food was not good at all. Staff looked and sounded new, they were always apologetic instead of providing better service. Air conditioner was not working. Had it been possible, we would have moved immediately.
- Dan (7/5): Nice place for a short stay - The room was large and included mosquito nets for the bed. The included breakfast was hot (eggs and toast) and the pool was refreshing and clean. The property is within easy walking distance of the museum and a local curio market for souvenirs but not close to the falls. There is laundry service on the property for a fee. The electricity load shedding seemed to affect the internet and the ability of the card reader to take our card for payments. They have a backup generator but it didn't seem to help the card reader problem.
- Wandile (7/5): wonderful experience and fun -
- Hannes (9/5): Superb -
- Balázs (8/5): It was great, great location, everything was OK, recommended! -
- Lisa (6/5): Pleasant - Friendly staff, they decorated our room very nicely and gave us an additional small light which made the atmosphere in the room a bit nicer. The air-con in the room is nice. Showers have hot water although the bathroom is very basic. The pool is great to cool down. Good location in town - close to the main street with market and restaurants. Hotel can organise transport to the Victoria Falls and traditional African village which is very recommendable. You can ask at breakfast for omelette or scrambled eggs to have something else than English Breakfast all the time. That was nice that they were flexible to cook something different. Staff was friendly but not very competent. They had no real structure with the payments like when we ordered a drink by the pool, they didn't know how to put it on the room bill and pay it later. As well, they didn't know what sparkling water nor cocktails were. There is Wi-Fi near the door reception area but it doesn't reach the room nor the restaurant.
There were some basic things missing in our room like mirror in the bathroom, hangers for the towels and the curtains were too thin, so the sunlight was not blocked in the morning. The hotel was doing renovations at the time which meant loud hammering noises from 8:00am onwards (and they didn't even warn us beforehand). The included breakfast is an English breakfast which was very greasy and the eggs & baked beans were cold.
- Wamuwi (6/5): Worth every penny . - The breakfast was basic, just bread and eggs but the service was top notch, very friendly stuff who are very helpful. The place is guest friendly, easy to find and a quiet location , it is a walkable distance to the meseum. The place has a lot of mosquitos so staying outside at night is a bit uncomfortable but they provide mosquito repellant.
- Angelina (9/5): We had a lovely time my stay was excellen - everything was superb only the geyser and aircon needed to be worked on, Otherwise staff were efficient, and we enjoyed our stay in a beautiful place with an excellent location and many amenities. warm water was not readily available and the aircon was not working.
- Thomas (5/5): Cheap and cheerful but plenty of room for improvement - The staff were very nice and helpful, especially Mavis the manager, who was very accommodating and friendly. The location was good, near to the centre of Livingstone but not too near, and the pool was nice. Decent value for money and the bar was very cheap. Twice we had to move rooms, with the second room full of mosquitoes. We had two rooms, one of which had a broken shower, with the other room missing a toilet seat. The rooms could have done with more toilet paper, towels etc. upon arrival.
The self catering room we were moved to had no cutlery and very little by way of crockery.
On the first night, the music from the bar was very loud until gone 11pm which made sleeping difficult.
- Hagai (8/5): Very good -
- Benson (2/5): It was neither special nor was it extremely bad. - It had a convenient location to most places and was clean. The place was very noisy in the early hours of the morning by the staff and hot water was scarce.
- Anonymous (8/5): Very good -
- Maramwidze (8/5): Very good - The staff were exceptionally accomodating and pleasant. The rooms and surroundings were very neat and clean. The pool needs to be treated often. I picked golden days because of the pool amoung other things but my kids couldn't use it coz the water was foggy.
- George (7/5): Good - Nigerian TV loud all night long near my room. Turned to loud music in the morning.
- Kiefer (10/5): The entrance is warm and welcoming and it only got better with the staff. - Very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff. Good breakfast, large clean room and well groomed grounds N/A
- Hua (8/5): Very good -
- Russell (8/5): Very good - Very friendly helpful staff - especially Mavis the manager. Convenient location. Room very basic but adequate. Very slow service at restaurant and food mediocre, over cooking meat and often running out of very basic items such as milk and ice cubes. Frequent power cuts meant water supply and WiFi disrupted.
- Lumka (5/5): Passable -
- Hamweemba (5/5): The place is not as exactly as advertised online. - The place is clean though and within the town. the water kept going from time to time. The room i booked online was not as the room i was given upon reaching the hotel and i was not impressed with the value for money.
- Elmarie (7/5): Good - Staff were vwry friendly and accommodating. Nice and clean surrounding It said breakfast included but the morning kitchen staff said only 2 breakfasts were included. We had to explain that we had two rooms, of which onecwas a family room.
No glases for juice, waited very long for milk. Otherwise every thing was nice.
- James (10/5): very much enjoyed my stay in Livingston and intend to return to the same hotel in the future - very good location close short walk to the shops and markets, friendly and helpful staff andexcellent value for money
- James (10/5): Exceptional - except value for money, very helpful staff and a good location, it’s close to shops and markets
- Veronica (7/5): Good - The staff is really friendly and helpful! The locations is great.
The room is quite old, many things are broken or didn't work. The kitchenette doesn't have enough tools.
The best thing of the hotel is the staff!
- Nabeel (8/5): Very good -
- Diego (9/5): Superb - Staff very attentive and pleasant.
always with a smile on and ready to assistbyou wiyh everything. From the staff at the reception to the bar and kitchen.
- Gina (8/5): Very good -
- Alfred (8/5): Very good -
- Steven (5/5): Passable - Room size.. No complimentary tea making facilities in the room.
Breakfast very little choice. Eggs or eggs. Poor layout of tea cups and tea bags. Only the cook to serve your needs.
The first room they gave us there was a gap in the panel of the entrance door you could see straight into the bedroom.
- Mirriam (8/5): Warm welcome, great Staff, great service. We felt at home - Great service.
Staff very friendly and respectful For long staying customers , it would have been helpful to know what varieties the Cafeteria had to offer. Only got informed about this at the end of the 12 day stay. Had to drive into town to search for cheaper meals when the Lodge had flexible menus we were not aware of.
- Merjaneh (10/5): Exceptional -
