Guest Reviews
- Steve (10/5): - My favorite hotel in Rome
Great location value classy comfortable
- Kory Richard (10/5): - Amazing place, amazing location, and amazing people, especially Zara.
- Aide (10/5): - Just stayed here 9/24 for 3 nights. Great location! Macarena was great! She answered all our questions and had great recommendations!
- Jordan (10/5): - Really loved how friendly everyone was, how even when I got in early they stored my bags and even brought them up to my room when I came back. I was given a your if everything, and the communication was always prompt. Everywhere I wanted to go was on walking distance and you can’t beat the Trevi Fountain being literally around the corner. As a “VIP” I had a bottle of wine waiting for me which was special and made the welcoming more special.
- Armando (10/5): - Beautiful property, literally two blocks from Trevi Fountain. Walking distance to everything, restaurants, main sights shopping and easy to public transportation. Very comfortable beds, good shower and good air conditioning. Itvis in a villa that has been in family for many generations. Beautifully decorated, felt like we werw stepping back in time, with modrrn conveniences. Will definitely stay again
- Mitchell (10/5): - If you're traveling to Rome and you want a true Rome experience, you definitely need to stay here. 2 minutes from Trevi fountain, 10 from the Spanish steps, and every other major attraction is within walking distance. On top of that the hotel is beautiful and the service was exceptional. Everyone we dealt with was lovely and went out of their way to make our experience the best possible. If we're ever back in Rome we'll definitely stay here again!
- Michelle (10/5): - We loved our stay here in Rome! Our room was so beautiful and big! Large windows with french balcony overlooking the busy streets in the heart of Romes historic center! This place is perfectly located for Trevi Fountain! Restaurants and cafe's everywhere, shops and fresh fruit stands - they sell wine! Walk to taxi stand, banks and Spanish steps 10 mins away! Lovely owners who live on 4th floor - Makarana was so lovely and helpful at reception! Would recommend!
- Mary (10/5): - The reservation was part of a trip we gifted to my parents. The area was quiet, for the most part, but meant a decent walk to the various attractions.
2 things that I thought were interesting and not listed in the description:
1. The power to their room was only active with a key card present. This meant no fans/AC when they were away from the room, which meant it took a while to cool down.
2. Their room was part of a larger area that could have been a suite. There were 3 bedrooms with locks, and a seating area and kitchenette to be shared between the 3 rooms.
- Siriwan (10/5): - Best location to main attractions in Rome
- Lewis (10/5): - The folks at this establishment have figured it out. Their service was impeccable. The property is very convenient and secure. I'm doubtful that we will be returning to Rome, but rest assured, if we do, I will be staying here again! Special props to Macarena (just like the dance). She laid out the important things to do while in Rome and also let us know what to expect regarding the Taxi fares.
- David (10/5): - The hotel staff were excellent from check in to departure they had a WhatsApp account to contact them for queries and acted as online concierge. The room was spacious and quiet even through a short walk from the Trevi Foundation there was no noise in the night.
- Velma (10/5): - The building has been in the same family and the place has history and well preserved, and old place with updated services and owners and staff are amazing.
- Edward (10/5): - The staff was great
Room was nice
Close to everything
Helped with travel
- Mark (10/5): - The hotel is so great. The staff was excellent and so friendly and welcoming. I can’t say enough nice things about the staff. The location of the hotel is also incredibly ideal in that you are a couple of hundred feet from the Trevi fountain.
- Herbert Charles (10/5): - Arpinelli Relais – A Roman Gem!! Our stay at Arpinelli Relais in Rome was fantastic! This 1891 guesthouse, with 10 rooms, blends historic charm with modern comfort. Hosts Zara and Macarena were outstanding—always available, knowledgeable, and eager to help with tips and logistics, keeping the property pristine. We stayed in Rooms 202 and 203, feeling like a private wing. Room 202’s balcony overlooked a lively street, and both rooms included a free bottle of red wine for our VIP status. Cozy common areas on each floor were perfect for relaxing.Security was top-notch with three gates (entrance, floor, room), ensuring safety. The location, a 5-minute walk to the Trevi Fountain, is unbeatable, with restaurants, gelaterias, and shops nearby.A minor issue was street noise in Room 202, easily fixed with a white noise app. I highly recommend Arpinelli Relais and would stay again. Thank you, Zara and Macarena, for an amazing experience!
- Monica (10/5): - Beautiful historic building.
- Patrick (10/5): - Fantastic showers and water pressure, walking distance to everything we wanted to do during our short stay. Nicely appointed rooms and a friendly staff. Would stay again.
- John (10/5): - Great location for walking to all the major sites and transportation is readily available
- Joseph (10/5): - Macarena at the front desk is the best!
- Emanuelle (10/5): - Lovely place and great location.
- Stacy Angeline (10/5): - This is truly an exquisite property!
I had an amazing time there.
Just a few metres away from a lot of the major attractions, gelato parlour, amazing restaurants and the beautiful picturesque landscape of Rome.
I would recommend this property for everyone.
The receptionist is lovely, professional and thorough. The owners are friendly and down to earth, they make you feel truly welcomed in their beautiful historical home which they come in person to meet with you and share with you the history of the house.
Very professional people and I truly appreciate this when travelling.
I felt safe and happy with my stay.

- maryam (10/5): - Like a museum, a lot of history
- German (10/5): - They were always communicative and prompt to help me when I needed it most. Thank you for your outstanding services, attentiveness, and effectiveness. They really made you feel like you are at home. Loved it.
- Trevor Ryan (10/5): - Great area. Convenient to walk everywhere you want to go within 30 mins. Very helpful staff.
- Mary (10/5): Love our stay here!! - Best of everything you need when traveling
- zaia (8/5): - Location
- Fan (10/5): - The hotel is very clear, nicely decorated, and conveniently located with many shops, restaurants, and points of interest being close by. The staff was very friendly.
- Elizabeth (10/5): - Unique hotel. Felt extremely safe. Several lock protections. Great location. Easy to walk to most attractions. easy to get cab/uber for further locations.
Highly recommend.
- S (10/5): - Location location location! We were so happy with this hotel. Rooms are gorgeous! A bit loud as you can here noise from
Busy street below but it’s Italy! We have no complaints. AC and water pressure are great! Staff is lovely! Hotel is wonderful and loved this location! You can not beat this location.
- Nancy (10/5): - This property is a perfect place to stay. Every attraction is within walking distance.
It was perfect!
- Christopher (10/5): - The staff were always very helpful. We loved the location made it very easy to get to all the major sites.
- Ibrahim (10/5): - This is a special place to stay on your vacation .Staff are very friendly and helpful close walking distance from historic places and lots of restaurants. We will recommend
- Michael (10/5): - Excellent property great convenient location friendly helpful staff…would definitely stay there again!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great location, loved the decor, very clean, friendly and helpful staff and owner
- Rotciv Rajadel (10/5): - This property was everything you could ask for. The safety to get inside was good, the staff was extremely attentive from start to finish. The location is very central, walkable food places, the hotel also has a transportation company you can set up with them for the airport or cruise port. Amazing experience overall.
- Mary Jo (10/5): - I densely r
- kim (10/5): - Our experience was fabulous, Zara helped us with everything even before we arrived, she went above and beyond to make us feel confident and organised with everything needed during our stay. Highly recommend
- Emily (10/5): - Great location 2 minutes from the Trevi fountain and huge rooms! Zara was so welcoming and helpful with all our needs!
- Rui (5/5): Good location, but bad facility with super Booking.com profit charge. - The location is good and so is B&B staff Zara. The booking.com over charged me for $500 per night, but the hotel itself only charges 227 euro. The room is super tiny with no way to do anything except stay in bed. There is a living room to trick you to book the property, and end it up, it was shared by 4 room of the guests. The bathroom lighting is super dim and the cheap bed moves when sleeping in. We had to move it back in place at the middle of the night as well.
- Marianna (10/5): - Room clean and quiet
- paul (10/5): - Loved our stay!! Highly recommend!!
- Jill M (10/5): - The staff were extremely nice and very helpful. We arrived way before check in and were greeted by the owner, she told us the history of the property and showed us where to get breakfast and where all the attractions were. Our bags were held for us and then delivered to our suite when it was ready. The hotel was a converted home and had all the Italian charm we were hoping for and within walking distance of the Spanish steps, Trevi fountain and we even made it from the Colosseum. Only negative we had was that the bed was hard and it was noisy, nothing to give a bad review about as we wanted to be in the heart of Rome and with that comes noise.
We will definitely stay here again. Thank you for an amazing stay.
- samuel (10/5): - Great location, excellent and friendly staff, exceptionally clean. Would definitely stay here again. Staff even loaned me euros when the taxi driver wouldn’t take a card.
- Lisa (10/5): - The property is lovely very traditional. Beware of the slippery floors! Overall we would recommend this hotel.
- Mindy (10/5): - Very convenient location!
- Yu (8/5): - The property is amazingly stylish, fit Rome perfectly. They have coffee maker, capacino machine, fancy shower head. Lots of art and decor throughout the building. Crazily pretty old style elevator. If anything need improvement that I have to point out, it would be the shower drain need to be unclogged.
- Catherine Moses (10/5): - Lovely building that dates to the 16th Century. The staff is very helpful at check in. She gave us suggestions on restaurants and advice on how to stay hydrated in the heat. This is very close to the Trevi Fountain and not far from the Spanish Steps. Wonderful stay!
- SreeLakshmi Devi (10/5): - Room was very comfortable, clean and beautifully decorated. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Neighborhood seemed like in the middle of the market so was a bit worried, but was super safe and plenty of people all around the time. Would definitely stay again.
- Jaclyn Carroll (10/5): - Steps away from the Trevi Fountain, a grocery store, dining options, and a taxi stand. The room was fabulous and the staff were amazing.
- Craig (10/5): - Staff was very helpful. Very unique hotel with beautiful rooms. Great location!
- Henri (10/5): - This is not a hotel per se, but a group of bedrooms around a common area, with managers on call. Our bedroom was large, very quiet, comfortable and equipped with a good coffee machine. The whole place is air-conditioned, with separate controls for the bedroom. The common area has a kitchenette with a fridge. Excellent in every way.
- Daisy (10/5): - Loved the charm and especially cleanliness. Recommend for central location if you don’t mind light city noise.
- Jennifer (10/5): - Great location, lots of dining options, and very helpful and friendly staff.
- Diane (10/5): - Zara was great and very helpful with everything we needed. The property location is in the center with walking distance to many attractions such as the Trevi fountain, Pantheon, and Spanish steps. Termini train station to and from the hotel was only a 15 minute walk.
- Amson (10/5): - Great service and excellent stay!
- Bryan (10/5): - Quaint and modest little hotel in the middle of the Trevi historic area. It is primarily a bedroom with a private bathroom, which is attached to a public space with tables and a kitchenette if needed. The Trevi Fountain is practically a walk around the corner. You'll find many fantastic restaurants in every direction, and two gelato stores just across the street. We only interacted with Zara, who was friendly and helpful during our entire stay. This part of Rome is old and historic, so don't expect modern amenities or upscale experiences. This is more of an adventurous and cultural immersion, with notable sites and authentic cuisine.
- Evelyn (10/5): - Close to Trevino fountain, great place to stay
- Martha E. (10/5): - It’s a beautiful palazzo-hotel located just two blocks from The Trevi Fountain…. It’s quiet, cozy and peaceful and it’s been in the family for five generations…everybody was very nice , respectful, and polite.
- Emily (10/5): - I loved the convenience of the hotel, friendliness of the staff, very clean and quiet!
- Mai Cher (8/5): - This hotel was great! We were so close to the Trevi Fountain and the Pantheon. There were souvenir stores, a gelato store, and restaurants all around as soon as you step foot outside the hotel. Would definitely stay again.
- Clare (10/5): - Great location and Zara super helpful
- Roland (10/5): - We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It's a nice tourist class/pension type of place which is very clean and well maintained. It is located right in the middle of the city (between the Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain), and is very convenient for tourists like us who are interested in seeing as many sites as possible. Even though the hotel is located in a busy and loud part of town, our room was very quiet at night. While it is not a full service hotel (the front desk closes at 7 pm), our room was made up every day, and kept spotless. The staff are very kind and helpful. So, if you are traveling to Rome on a budget and you want to spend less than you would on a four star, luxury property, this hotel is perfect for you. We loved it!
- Joe (10/5): - The "new" Rome city-center 1600's-built Maison turned-hotel fit our preference for historic accommodations. You must be OK with that era's size and character; however, the Arpinelli had modern bathrooms, room-controlled air conditioning, and exquisite museum-like decor. Pristine cleanliness with daily housekeeping. Upon check-in, we met the owner, Tamara and her husband. They delightfully told the story of the Arpinelli. There is a lift in addition to the stairs. Card key access for security. They offered us car service reservations to the Airport which reduced the hassle of obtaining it ourselves. Amenities consistent with historic accommodations; many restaurants right outside the hotel. Cab stand two blocks left. English spoken. Photo is looking out onto the Via della Panetteria from inside. Grazie Mille and Arrivederci!
- Mara (10/5): - Very well located , it was tucked in amongst all the touristy spots. Zara & Macarena was so sweet and so helpful.
- Martin (10/5): - Absolutely loved it here. The location is right in the heat of everything and yet a little oasis. The room has everything you need and the high ceilings make it feel spacious.
Some notable highlights: the communication from the staff was excellent via WhatsApp and the shower was really nice, didn’t want to get out.
We will certainly stay here agai.
- Agnes (8/5): - Lack of amenities.
- Melissa (10/5): - Great location. Clean and comfortable.
- Ronald (10/5): - Check in lady was Extremely friendly. Rooms were clean. Hotel had a great location.
- Tawnya J (10/5): - Great location, beautiful room with everything we needed. Zara, who checked us in was wonderful. She explained everything, shared ideas of places to see and helped us with transportation.
- Kimberly (10/5): - We had a wonderful time in Rome. The hotel was extremely convenient. We will be back.
- alejandra (10/5): - I love this hotel and customer service.
- aaa windows * less, inc (8/5): - Very good location
Very friendly staff
- Caroline (8/5): - A wonderful location! Exquisite staff. Very clean hotel, excellent location. The only downside was the noisy bottle recycling in the middle of the night woke us up nightly. If you are a light sleeper, it can be a bit disturbing..
- Franklin D Herring (10/5): - The front desk clerk, Macarena, was extra helpful and gave us great recommendations for restaurants and activities. The room was cleaned well every time we indicated we wanted it cleaned and they left it alone when we did not. Excellent location if you intend to walk to most of central Rome, 30 minutes to just about everywhere. Would recommend this property to anyone.
- Stephen (10/5): - Best location in city center
- Theresa (10/5): - Macarena is wonderful and very attentive. She anticipates our needs and offers solutions before we even asked.
The bottle of wine we received as VIP guests tastes better than we expected.
The cleaning ladies also did great jobs and very accommodating.
We will stay here again.
- Ryan (10/5): - The owner and staff are so welcoming. The hotel room was beautifully furnished with antique furniture and was very clean. Will stay again!
- Aurelia (10/5): - This is our second time to stay here. It's very easy to get around the major tourist attractions. The location is perfect. The staff is wonderful as always even their cleaning staff. The room is spacious enough to accommodate my family of four. They even arrange our transportation service and its was very reasonably priced. I would recommend this place.
- Antonia Alexis Maczka (10/5): - Arpinelli Relais is a little quiet haven right in the heart of Trevi, the staff were lovely, the apartments were so clean. Truly a little gem, I highly recommend :)
- Ana Lyn (10/5): - Staff were very helpful and friendly. They were also very responsive whenever we send them a request.
- Shannon L (10/5): - This hotel was near all the things we would want to see. We could walk there easily. The hotel is BEAUTIFUL, and is very well maintained. You can definitely tell it’s a family Italian home, meticulous maintained for centuries. It was such a great experience, and everyone was so friendly. The bed was super comfortable, and our room was able to see right out onto the street! We loved this place!
- Rigoberto (10/5): - Great customer service and very clean rooms, would stay there again..
- Bhumika (6/5): - The rooms have no ventilation. So either you open window with cold air or it’s just extremely stuffy
- George E (10/5): A wonderful and delightful place to stay - Not only is it a stone throw away from Trevi Fountain but a very wonderful and delightful place to stay. Friendly owners and front desk lady named Macarena was very helpful in every way.
I’ve stayed at different nice hotels around Trevi Fountain for the past 4 yrs but Arpinelli hotel is above all four hotels I’ve bern to.
Will be back again with the rest of my family next year!!!!
- Aurelia (10/5): Perfect location - I love the location, cleanliness and friendliness of the staff. We had a great time in Rome.
- Trevor (10/5): - Friendly and knowledgeable
- Stacey (10/5): Excellent Place to Stay⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - This Boutique Hotel was safe and easy walking to absolutely everything I wanted to see and do. Trevi Fountain is the closest, a 3min walk. Laundromat, high end shopping, restaurants, pharmacy. All within 15 minutes walking. Lots of umbrella's to borrow on rainy days. The welcome was pleasant and very informative. Street was noisy, but closing windows keep things quiet. I couldn’t hear other guests at all. Girls were pleasant, always greeting you as you enter and exit. There is a small elevator for taking your luggage up and down!!
- Darren (10/5): - A great place to stay but be aware its not a full service hotel, no restaurant or other servixes
- Jacob (10/5): - Pleasant experience all around. The staff were very friendly, even providing recommendations around the area. The room was comfortable and the location of the property can’t be beat. 10/10 experience.
- Melissa (10/5): - Beautiful property that is very close to Trevi fountain. Communication with Macarena before and during stay was great. She’s a gem!
- Maribel (10/5): - Perfect location if you want to see all of the popular sites. Excellent staff!
- David (10/5): - This place is amazing! Staff was fantastic and always ready to help with just a text. Hotel is just a block from Trevi Fountain and there are plenty of great places to eat and shop. Highly recommend!
- Marangely (10/5): - My stay here was very pleasant as a solo female traveler I truly recommend. Location, cleanliness, friendly staff and walkable to most sites. Safe area, even at night, if you take the common safety measures. Give it a try, you won’t regret!
- Anton Nicholas (10/5): - This property was in an excellent location for visiting the sights. Plenty of shops and restaurants on the doorstep. No facilities for dining but there was a fridge in a room on our floor where they provided milk and you could store snacks. Tea and coffee facilities in room. Room was good size, nice bathroom and very clean. Would recommend as a good base for exploring Rome.
- Donald (10/5): - Very friendly staff and wonderful service. Thank You!
- Graham Derek (10/5): - Incredibly well located for all sightseeing in Rome, and surrounded by good bars and restaurants. Room was clean with a good shower, and a nice common area outside the small number of rooms.
- Tammy (10/5): - Incredible boutique hotel. The check-in was personalized and friendly. The staff are helpful and cheerful. I love the common area. I love the classic style of this hotel. It is clean and elegant and very close (and walkable) to major historical locations. I definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for the perfect stay while in Rome.
- John (10/5): - Great staff and great location
- Mr (10/5): - Everything fabulous
