Guest Reviews
- Quest566946 (4/5): Needs Updating - Two issues: 1. The rooms need updating. The carpet looks old and the room had a slight musty smell. Opened all the windows (the 4" they open) to air it out. 2. Both TVs had a hard time streaming Netflix. The picture went blurry frequently and even locked up to buffer occasionally. The internet didn't seem particularly slow on my laptop so I don't know the cause. I even unplugged one for a while to see if it would reboot but it didn't help. I wouldn't have stayed for more than the one night I was there.

- ndelapaz (2/5): Excessive noise late at night - Here now and have been unable to sleep 3 out of our 6 nights due to noise from a team of softball girls that roam the hallway from 11 pm to 2 am. The hotel has been contacted multiple times and have refused to do nothing about the noise.
Unacceptable
- kevin (2/5): - Overlooked fluster.
- dn455 (2/5): In Decline - Every concern you see listed about this place is spot on -- this property is old and in serious decline. Would not consider staying here again.
People have mentioned bugs -- I would take that seriously. Here's a picture of something I found on the bathroom floor.
- Phyllis (8/5): - It was very clean I like the efficiency of the room. Only one thing the light around the mirror did not work and I told the front desk unfortunately nobody ever came to fix it. 10 days we were there.
- waltercQ8661TW (2/5): Bugs in dining area - The stay was fine until the final morning when we noticed a bug infestation in the dining area with bugs all over the food. We left without breakfast but management refuses any reimbursement for the loss of breakfast privileges for that morning. After posting the review on the Marriott site the manager said they gave us "points" but they did NOT,
- Shannon (6/5): - This hotel was OK. The bed was uncomfortable. The rooms had ants and the fix was a can of raid. House keeping was supposed to be everyday but the only cleaned the room a few times. They never left enough towels. We had to keep asking for towels. They left 2 towels knowing there were 3 people on the room. Disappointing.
- Keith (10/5): Fantastic - Everything was first class -well done
- Karen (8/5): - Breakfast buffet had several options, however, the signs identifying the offerings weren't updated when substitutions were made.
- Anthony (6/5): Pleasant -
- Rebecca (10/5): - I was part of a bridal party who was getting ready at the hotel and staying in a room the same night. I arrived at 9 am to meet up with the bridal party. I talked with JM the receptionist about checking in a little bit early due to the bridal party leaving for the venue before check in could happen. JM the receptionist let me check in early and made my stay extremely convenient. Thank you JM!
- Isai (10/5): - ITS SAFE AND QUITE
- Danielle (10/5): - Great location
- Jackie (8/5): - Pork sausage patties were dry
- Jackie (8/5): - Breakfast eggs and turkey sausage could be better.
Coffee too strong.
Pool water a little cold.
- Rahiem (8/5): Good stay - We decided to have a date night and spend the evening out. The room was clean and very comforting. The staff member was originally on the phone taking a call from another customer, and once we arrived, they were attentive and friendly. We would come here again for a longer stay.
- Andrea (2/5): - I am very disappointed with the room, the place was clean but the smell of cigarettes was unbearable
They tried putting an air purifier in the room but the problem was not resolved
I had to get home to send everything to the cleaners due to the smell
- Michael (10/5): - Large rooms
- Angelique (10/5): - The room was amazingly clean and comfortable with all of the necessities and amenities that I needed for the sudden unplanned stay that I booked with them.
- Janet (9/5): Superb -
- Pramod (10/5): - Safe and nice location
- timothy (10/5): - Everything
- Raul (10/5): - Awesome
- Jessica (8/5): Bad first night, good after that - Was in the wrong room with feather bedding that we’re allergic too and not ground floor.
Once we got switched everything was good for our week stay. Second time staying here. Was supposed to hear from head office about the problems but have not yet
- Samuel (9/5): Superb -
- Valerie (8/5): - The only thing I didn’t like was that I paid for the stay via Expedia and the hotel charged me again when I got there. They’re refunding me now, but it was still a bit of an inconvenience
- John (10/5): - In town for wedding in Allentown. Helpful staff and clean rooms
- Denise (10/5): - The room was perfect and very roomy had places for all of our things , never felt cramped for space. Bed over the top comfortable
- Brian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jairo (10/5): Best bed and great breakfast - Great place to stay with big rooms and very confortable beds… breakfast is also amazing and a must Everything
- W8LT3R (10/5): Home Away from Home - My wife and I took a day trip to Bordentown NJ and booked a two-night midweek stay online in a single Bedroom Suite with a King bed, a Sofa bed and a kitchenette at the Residence Inn in Hamilton. This was our first visit to this Residence Inn. In the past we usually stayed at Homewood Suites when choosing hotels with comparable accommodation but chose this location for its proximity to the Hamilton Marketplace.
Upon entering the hotel, we were impressed by the front desk section of the hotel. Everything looked clean and new. There was a faux fireplace. A business center with computers and printers, and several individual TVs with private nooks for viewing. There was also an outdoor patio area that is visible from the front desk area with a fire pit and chairs. The hotel has an indoor pool and basketball court on the property. (We did not get to use the outdoor patio, fitness center, basketball court or pool during our visit.) There was a lemon water dispenser next to the front desk. The front desk clerk was friendly and welcoming and was able to answer all questions throughout our visit. The housekeeping staff were also courteous and helpful. We received a friendly “Good Morning” from the housekeepers on our way to breakfast. As we passed them each morning, they would always check that we had everything we needed for our stay.
We had a very comfortable stay at the Residence Inn. We liked our room. Our king-size bed was comfortable to sleep in both nights. There were TVs in the bedroom and living room for relaxing. There was glassware, plates, and silverware in the kitchenette for 4 people. It was convenient having a full refrigerator to store perishable items during our stay. The only complaint about the room was the shower in the bathroom. Which had many knobs and multiple showerheads, so it was difficult to figure out how to get water started on the upper showerhead and adjust it for hot water.
The room came with a coffee maker which we used each morning to make coffee when we got up, prior to our full breakfast. Residence Inn provides a free buffet breakfast each morning between 6AM and 9AM midweek. Breakfast had a decent selection, but it was basic. Just oatmeal, cereal, scrambled and hard-boiled eggs, turkey patties, apples, bananas, bagels, yogurt, English muffins and sliced breads. (The first morning they did serve cheese in the scrambled eggs which was a nice addition.) There was a toaster for the English muffins and bread. However, I was disappointed that they did not offer a make-your-own waffle or pancake station. More options for fruit (like sliced melon, grapes or fruit salad) would have also been a nice addition. I feel that breakfast ends too early at 9 AM. Checkout at the hotel is 11 AM, I would have thought breakfast should have ended at 10 AM or 10:30 AM so guests could sleep in a bit.
- Kristin (10/5): - This hotel was a GEM to find! Huge room, wonderful breakfast, spotless clean, staff was very accommodating and made our stay so relaxing and enjoyable. I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel and look forward to staying there again in the future.
- Andrew (10/5): Short and Sweet - Was here one night for a wedding that was nearby. Facilities were clean and comfortable and the staff was friendly. Rooms had small kitchenettes so you could keep food and/or cook in the room. This was great as we were her with many family members and we got to hang out after the reception without disturbing other hotel guests.
- LOREN (8/5): - Pleasant
- Patrick (10/5): - Clean hotel. Had a kitchenette, which was nice, although I never used it.
- Lakeetha (4/5): - It's a nice hotel. But the check in time.... My room became available at 3:36pm. That's a ridiculous wait when you're given the option to check in at 9:00am online.... You're paying full price for a nights stay and you have to be out by 12:00 noon. Most other hotels will allow you to check in at 11:00am and be out by 11:00am. I can't justify staying at this hotel anymore it's not worth it.
- Erica (7/5): Good - Overall a great stay, however in the lounge area, the cushions were dirty and torn. Even if their washed you'd feel more inclined to sit there. I sat on the high chairs outside. Nice place- Again 🙂
- 321kimberlyz (10/5): It’s like family. - We rushed up there as a party of 15 from Florida as my grandmother was given days to live. Joe and Charley and the rest of the amazing staff went above and beyond. It was like coming home every night to family. Always a warm smile and the sincere greetings. Patina, Trevor, Charlene, JM, and Mckayla always made sure myself and family were doing okay. The housekeeping staff was amazing some nights were long and coming back to a clean room with fresh towels was just what we needed. The 2 people that ran the kitchen (can’t remember their names) always made sure breakfast was up and going every morning .
Craig I like to refer to as man of many wonders. He can fix anything and always with a friendly smile. I can see why they have long term residence there and not just nightly guest. It’s a home, it’s a family from the moment I checked to the moment I checked out which was 12 nights later. My family and I felt like we were staying at a family members house and not hotel.
A million thanks from my family to the staff at the Hamilton Residence Inn. Making the most difficult time as comforting as they can.
- Erin (10/5): - Attentive staff. Quiet, comfortable and clean room. Great location for areas we were interested in. Convenient to NJ Turnpike and highways. Nice breakfast selections.
- Cheryl (8/5): Very good -
- Y9054PLtinar (10/5): ALWAYS A GREAT EXPERIENCE!!!!!!!!!!!!! - My husband and I stay there every year to visit our daughter. The rooms are always very clean and modern. The hotel staff is always friendly and helpful. Every time we go the GM Maher Kobeissi remembers us. He also helped us get our full 10 day stay at the hotel. We were originally booked only a few so we had to get multiple reservations at other Marriott properties. When we checked in he found some at our favorite hotel Residence. Which was great cause now we did not have to move around !
- Barbara (10/5): - Pleasant stay all around.
- Deborah (7/5): Served its purpose for a one night stay. - It was clean. The couch in the unit was ugly and past its usage.
The free breakfast was the worst I've ever had.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Very nice place to stay! - This was a very nice place to stay. The gentleman who checked us in made us feel welcome. He was available on other days to answer any questions for us.
The room was spacious and very clean. Breakfast was included which was freshly cooked each day with a wide variety to pick from.
Will definitely stay there again!
- Jessica (8/5): Very good -
- Linda (10/5): Great place to stay in Hamilton - The staff was helpful and friendly. The location is central to the Hamilton area and close to highways. The room itself had a great layout, for both working and relaxing. We would definitely stay here again.
- 598happyk (10/5): Great Hotel & Location!!! - I stayed here to visit family and friends in NY and New Jersey, and to sightsee in Philly. The Hamilton location was ideal. I booked a one bedroom for 8 nights. I arrived early, at 10am. I asked if I could check-in early. I was told by JM that there was no 1-bedrooms available, but there was a 2 bedroom. I asked if there was any way I could get the 2 bedroom at the 1 bedroom rate, guessing not but thought it couldn’t hurt to ask. To my surprise JM said yes, he could do that. Wow!
The 2-bedroom was nice, clean and oh so roomy! It was nice to have a kitchen to cook breakfast in before taking off for the day.
At check-out time there was also no problem with staying late. I stayed until 2pm, with no extra charge. This place is great! Thank you, JM, you’re the best!!!
- Charmaine (10/5): - The room was very spacious which I enjoyed I just wished there was a private hot tub in the room.
- JAZZEELADII (10/5): Awesome Hotel - This hotel is fantastic. The hotel employees go above and beyond to make certain you’re comfortable and have a pleasant stay. My check-in was extremely fast and the front desk clerks and all of the employees were always very pleasant. Each morning saying good morning to everyone and saying hello when anyone walked in or around the hotel. The breakfast was great and the breakfast area was always clean. This is an extremely clean hotel. It is great to have the option to cook your dinner because the room came with the stove top and a full refrigerator. The hotel has an inside lounge and outdoor patio which are both very nice and comfortable. You can sit and enjoy your meal or just relax and watch television. I was allowed to check in at 9 AM. Most hotels do not allow check-in until 4 PM. This is a major perk that I really really love. The rooms are definitely soundproof because I didn’t hear any noise outside of my room, very thick walls. My opinion, congratulations on being the best hotel in Mercer County.
- james (10/5): - Nice hotel. My only recommendation is to get your WiFi connection proper. Most of us are there for business.
- Janet (10/5): - Quick friendly check in. Hotel is ideally located. It’s spotless. All appliances, including the tv worked fine. Only surprise was there were no pillows on the bed when we arrived. This was remedied immediately. We’d definitely stay here again when in the area.
- Trina (10/5): Exceptional - Every single thing about our stay was great. The pool was nice and warm, we had a blast.
- Aaron (8/5): Great quality - Friendly staff, clean rooms, a very nice hotel
- John (9/5): A fine choice for a stay of any duration. - Clean, spacious, well -equipped, tasteful decor, and … we got a free upgrade to a two-bedroom suite! Also, we got an excellent restaurant recommendation from the associate at the front desk. Can’t come up with a single negative. All good.

There is a decent tap room next door with a good menu.
- Anonymous (9/5): I felt very comfortable and peaceful at the hotel. My children were very happy to stay there. - It was really clean and the staff was really friendly and helpful. There were some bugs there.

- Mohib (8/5): Very good -
- Tanya (8/5): - The entire property was very much enjoyed.
- Elizabeth (10/5): - Last minute booking during a road trip, but it was a very nice hotel and room! Pool was warm and you can easily walk to a good dinner place!
- Jasmine (10/5): Good - Please don't keep knocking on the room door if we say we're going to leave at a certain time that's the time we will leave. Other than that the stay was wonderful
- Vicki (8/5): - all staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We had a minor problem with the heating system but maintenance quickly and efficiently fixed the problem. The breakfast bar was delicious!
- BSH101 (8/5): Good Hotel! - I enjoyed my stay at the Residence Inn Hotel overall. The accommodations were pleasant, and the service was generally good. However, one minor disappointment occurred when I requested towels one night, and I was informed that I needed to go down to the front desk to retrieve them myself. It would have been more convenient if they could have delivered the towels to my room. Besides that, everything else was great!!
- Gretchen (8/5): - Perfect for my business needs. Wish there was a Starbucks nearby.
- kumaliu (10/5): Great stay in a family suite - Stayed at this hotel during thanksgiving break. After making the reservation, I requested an upgrade with Suite Night Award, and they grandes my request to a 2 bedroom suites with 1 King 1 Queen and a sofa beds plus 2 bathrooms! The location of the hotel is very easy to find and convenient located. The front desk stuff JM was very friendly and provided us an exceptional customer experience. Kids also love the warm water swimming pool! Unfortunately we missed the breakfast as we overslept and thought the breakfast ends at 9:30am! Overall, it was a great stay and will definitely come back to this hotel when we visit our friend in the area.
- Rajeev (9/5): Superb - Spacious room with a kitchen was great. Very welcoming and comfortable. Breakfast was also very good with lots of hot/cold items. Location was close to everything we needed. The refrigerator made some strange vibration noises at times... didn't bother us much, though.
- Karen (8/5): Very good -
- Angela (10/5): Great place for a short stay - The room was very spacious. The air conditioner was noisy, but in general, the room was quiet. Nicest bed ever. Breakfast ends at 9:30 which is too early. Should at least close at 11 am like many other places.
- Jerry (10/5): Perfect! - Service and Beautiful property. Breakfast was A÷
- Jean-francois (9/5): Perfect place and qualified staff. - The hotel was located in a quiet location close to all amenities. The room was spacious and having a fridge, oven and dishwasher really served us well. The staff helped us with our questions. Nothing to report
- Traveler21xo (10/5): Great place for a stay in Hamilton, New Jersey’ - The room had everything possible to make our stay possible.
The only slight issue I had was that this location did not have a safe.
Will I come back, absolutely !
It was comfortable and clean!
Service was great.
The outside was clean snd plenty of parking. Elevators and pool were convenient.
I would most definitely return.
- Lakeetha (10/5): - The studio king with the sofa bed, loved it.
- P5824PWrakeshg (10/5): Smile please — front desk staff 😀 - Very clean hotel with pretty good spread of free breakfast.
Ample parking and quick access to freeway and eateries around.
The only area of opportunity is for the front desk staff to greet guests and smile. The general manager greeted and smiled but front desk staff in both shifts on all the 2 days we stayed - it was hard to get them to smile or greet anyone even after making eye contact.
- Raymond (10/5): Exceptional - It was clean and nice. Customer service was great. The refrigerator in the room ice machine was confusing. Gave me ice one time and stopped working.
- Bianculli (10/5): Exceptional -
- Maria (10/5): - I was there for 2 nights and what bother me is that the fact they didn't give me a warm welcome
- Marleny Rodriguez (10/5): - It was quiet and the hotel was clean, I was across the hall from the pool and I didn’t hear anything which was great
- Carol (9/5): Will stay again -
- Bobby (8/5): Very good -
- Martin (8/5): uncomfortable pull out coach - Room was clean and a decent size. The pullout sofa was the most uncomfortable one that I have ever slept on, So I let my kids have the bed so they would get a good night sleep.
- Manoj (7/5): Good -
