- Anidra (2/5): - Bedding was dirty, had fresh makeup on the blankets & sheets, & blood on the mattress. I requested another room & it also was dirty with dirty bedding & had blood stains on the mattress pad & no fitted sheet. I declined the 2nd room & was given a clean set of bedding to sleep on the pull out sofa in the 1st room I was given. The next morning about 7:30am the housekeeping manager called me & apologized for the condition of the room, stated she would personally clean it for me, & said that my breakfast would be no charge. I asked if we could take care of it a bit later as I was asleep. I called and spoke to the general manager at that location and requested another room due to not wanting to sleep on a pull-out sofa when I paid for a king-sized bed but the bedding was dirty and mattress was bloody. I pre-paid for a 5 nights stay. He said that a room would be cleaned for me and it would take about 30 minutes to get it ready. While waiting for the new room I started doing my makeup and heard a knock on the door. A quite upset housekeeping staff person said that my room was ready and she needed me out of the room immediate. I asked her if I could finish my makeup and then go to the room. She went and got the manager. At that point I was in shock & decided to video record the manager at the door. He told me that he wanted me to leave the property & was calling the police. I asked for what reason and he said he didn’t need to give me a reason. I have it ALL on video.

- Israel (8/5): Good. Minor oversights. - Door at check in was propped open. AC was set at a high temp and the room was very warm. Bathroom supplies were not refilled.
- Paul (10/5): Bathroom needs improvement, otherwise perfect. - Everything was excellent but the bathroom was not eco friendly. No electrical outlets, door was too big for the size of the room causing it very difficult to move around it from the commode. (I stubbed my toes several times because of it. Don’t care for the walk-in shower without a vent fan causing the mirrors to fog up. Shower floor was slick. A shower grip mat could fix that.

- Lissa (4/5): AWFUL - Even though paying over a thousand dollars, I felt like I got the “Motel 6” experience! ALL the ice machines were broken down the entire week. I always had to go down to front desk for ice the entire time! Housekeeping every other day and they did not vacuum at all. Air conditioning so high I was freezing. No way to control it other than turning it off which then resulted in suffocating heat. With the exception of the delightful “Andrea” (weekend front desk) staff was aloof, hard to find and unprofessional. Food was awful. Will never stay here again! Especially at those prices.

- Richard (10/5): - Andrea is the manager and she was very kind and friendly. It was always nice to see her smiling behind the counter when coming back into the hotel.
- Deborah (2/5): - The property did not live up to my expectations of a Courtyard Marriott. It was more in par with a Super 8. The lobby was fine but the room showed poor caulking skills in the bathroom are. There were no storage in the bathroom so we just hung hotel hair dryer on the doorknob. The bathroom also had no exhaust fan. Carpet needed to be vacuumed. Worst of all, I had to keep trying refrigerator on. Every two hours the button needed to be push on. No bringing home leftovers to store and my ice bags could not be refrozen. That’s definitely low class. The staff, on the other hand was very friendly and courteous. They did their best to accommodate guests. I was also disappointed that there was no breakfast. Each morning had to go out for coffee. Such an inconvenience. Yes there were coffee makers in the room but who wants to use those? You never know if they’ve been cleaned, how fresh the coffee packets are etc. Would I stay there again or recommend this hotel? No! When playing over two hundred a night, I expect better.

- Happiness62784417159 (2/5): Avoid this hotel - I am a lifetime titanium member with Marriott. Stayed in many Courtyards. My wife stayed here using my points and left a day early just to get away from this place. I personally had a bad experiance from a December stay. Maybe the worst Courtyard in the country.

- Celeste (2/5): - I didn't like the fact that I made reservations through EXPEDIA for $154.00. They charged my husband 220.00. We went for a wedding and stayed at the hotel for maybe 8hrs. Had no room service charges, phone charges, nothing extra. I will never stay at another Marriott. Last stay at a Marriott was for my Son's wedding. We blocked off some rooms and got charged for other peoples room and instead of 1 night charge, we were charged for two!! These are BAD people! Beware of sales rep!! They lie!

We didn't get much sleep. We told the employee who checked us out and all she said was, "sorry!" We won't be stay my a ba courtyard property again.

- Verified traveler (8/5): Not As Good As It Was Before - The good: The beds and pillows are comfy, linens were fresh, shampoo/conditioner/body wash were filled in the shower, we had enough towels/washcloths, TV and remotes worked, coffee station was stocked, fridge was clean and operational The bad: Although the room seemed clean, it smelled like it had been closed up with the AC off for at least a week. The coffee area only had 1 regular coffee, the other 3 were decaf. A bunch of the lights in the parking lot are out. A light on the second floor emergency exit is out. The TV isn't compatible with Roku, but it does have "Internet TV" so you can watch Netflix or YouTube. The ugly: The tub had hair(s) and unidentified specks in it. One of the towels (although it seemed clean) had a pale, yet visible fist sized stain on it. Overall, it is a good, relatively new property, but it isn't diligently maintained.

- allanbO9740DS (4/5): Disappointing stay - Our recent stay at the Courtyard in Midlothian was very disappointing aside from. the fact that therewas no free breakfast or coffee in the lobby there were no kleenex , coffee cups or regular kcups the room.. The televisions in the rooms were not functional. Manager refused give a discount for the lack of amenities in the room.
- Sylvia (4/5): - This was a very disappointing stay. When I arrived the lobby was empty, but when the staff arrived at the front desk she was very attentive. She asked if I needed the handicap room I was assigned and I said no, that room was supposedly the only room available to me. She reassigned our room and that’s where the problem began. There was a pile of dirty towels left outside our room. We got into our room, unpacked and got ready for bed. The room smelled really bad. When we pulled the bed linens back, both beds had been slept in, there were black specks of something on the sheets, and many hairs on the pillows. We notified the front desk. Her solution was to reassign our room. We repacked our stuff and went all the way to the other side of the hotel. In this room we found the beds clean, but the shower spigot had water streaming from it that we could not make stop. The coffee machine did not work so we had to go four floors down to get coffee from the lobby. I reported those issues, but nothing was done about it during our stay. It was the Thanksgiving weekend but these problems should not have happened regardless. I’m not happy paying their high prices for such a negative experience.
- Sharon (6/5): - This was a nice hotel with decent pricing. Convenient for our visit. And while I am happy they allowed their housekeeping to have the day off for the holiday, and they instructed us to see the front desk for anything we needed while they were off, we were told they did not have any coffee cups or pods for the Kurig for the room. But they did have coffee in the lobby… for a price! No free coffee!?! And the inability to make it in our room! Additionally, waiting to get an early start out, we were greeted with lukewarm (at best) showers with outside temps in the 30s. We were told by the front desk staff that “the water heaters shut down during the night and don’t really start back up until around 8:00 or 9:00.” Not good Marriott!! We will look for another place to stay next visit!

- Rezz90 (6/5): Don’t have their act together - Seemingly inexperienced personnel caused a snafu on a late check in after a difficult flight to attend the funeral of two immediate family members. We waited for an hour in the lobby as they were telling ME that I needed to find out from Hotels.com why they had shorted them. The more experienced woman there couldn’t figure it out either. I had paid Hotels.com of course. The hotel first claimed my credit card had been rejected. Then they said it was Hotels.com’s credit card that had been rejected. They wanted me to find out why. There’s no phone number I was going to be able to call at 10 at night that could tell me that. I finally let them know that this was ridiculous. About that time they realized their mistake. The girl at the counter had miscalculated the rate. There were other personnel who caused problems for me and other family members who were coming for the funerals. I initially called Mr Rios, the marketing manager, as suggested by my brother, a former mayor of Midlothian. He said he couldn’t help me and told me I should just call the hotel. I did. The guy who answered quoted me a rate that was much higher than the online rate. I told him so. He said, well that’s because you’re looking at a 3rd party site. I said no, I wasn’t. I was looking at the Midlothian Marriott site. He said if I booked online, most likely when I arrived, they were not going to be able to give me that rate. They would require more money and would send me away unless I paid more than the Marriott guaranteed rate. WHAT? Incredible. I told him I had never heard ANYTHING like that. He insisted it was true. I said I would then just need to call Mr Rios back. He cut me off and said “Have a nice day.” I did call Mr Rios back, who said “Oh the guy is new.” I guess everybody’s new there, and horrible as well. Do they think we were all born yesterday? I eventually did book through a 3rd party - Hotels.com. The one bright spot was the cafe cashier Julian Butler, so polite and helpful. Another woman there, maybe his supervisor, was also very attentive. Unfortunately, I didn’t get her name. One elevator was out the whole time we were there. The ice machine was out of order and for two days the trash was piled up near the ice machine. I just got the feeling this place was barely hanging in there financially.
- Rocky (2/5): - When I got there the computers were down and they couldn’t get me a card.They dad to let me in several times. I wanted to watch the World Series but the TV wasn’t working also. They finally got me a key later on but the damage was done. The receptionist offered me $20 which was in my opinion too low but the Manager said no and offered 1,000 Marriot points which I don’t have an account and you can’t do anything with so little points.

- Tonya (2/5): - The hotel was dirty and broken down. The coolers were empty so we weren’t able to buy drinks or anything. There was something spilled down the side of the nightstand in our room and the beds looked slept in. Very disappointing and confusing considering the reviews on the website. Definitely would not recommend this place.
- Krista (10/5): Softball Tournament - This was actually our second visit to this hotel, it’s very clean and comfortable. They are very gracious to the softball families. There was only one working elevator which slowed things down but the staff and amenities were great

- Christine (10/5): - We stayed at this property a year ago when we helped family move to Texas. The hotel is convenient to shopping and highways. The staff is friendly especially the Bistro staff. They are so helpful and accomodating. The only issue we had is that our room had some spiders. I was bitten on two fingers and we killed several spiders. We reported this to the front desk and told them that the room needed to be sprayed for bugs.

We were there to visit family in the area for the 4th of July and this hotel made sure we were comfortable and had a comfortable place to visit with our family. Everyone, from the greats (little kids) to the grands (old folks), had a great time. The pool was greatly enjoyed and the children's library in the gathering place was perfect for finding a few books to read to the greats. We have always found our rooms at this hotel to be clean and comfortable. But perhaps the best thing is that all the staff really go out of their way to make sure we have a great guest experience. A special thanks to Jonathan who ALWAYS has a smile on his face and is so personable but still professional. We will certainly continue to stay at the Midlothian Marriott!
