Guest Reviews
- Bobbie (4/5): Alright I guess - Stay was okay few issues.
Positive -
- room big and clean
- pool was nice
-quite location
Negative -
- first place I have been to in Asia where we didn’t receive free water in the room
- Terrible WiFi
- weak Aircon
- soon as we got there tried to sell us tours and transport. Be nice to just get settle before trying to take more money of us
- constantly ask and messaging what tour are we doing and when etc
- no room service not even removing full bins
- done our laundry came back smelling worst had to go else where
- they allowed children 9+ to be in the pool naked, not only unhygienic on the floats but also inappropriate for everyone else around, especially with the known danger of predators.
- Patricia (10/5): - Nous avons été très bien reçus. Merci Moon
- Verified traveler (10/5): God personale service - Rigtig god service på hotellet
- Phuc (10/5): - it is safe and quiet. there are a lot of space available. it is good to stay at Corn Villa, I will come back next year.
- Sean (10/5): - Fantastic. It’s a quiet safe and peaceful spot with easy access to the old town. Moon and her staff are attentive and caring. After some hectic experiences in HCMC, this was just the place I needed to recuperate. Thank you to Moon and her wonderful staff.
- Thomas (10/5): - Lovely and helpful property manager :)
- Christy (10/5): - Moon was awesome loved staying. Only thing was hard to find on google maps otherwise incredible thanks heaps

- Emily (10/5): - Lovely place with beautiful surroundings. Moon was an excellent host! She made us feel very welcome, gave us some great recommendations for local restaurants and coffee shops, and even sorted out a taxi for us when travelling onto Da Nang. We loved breakfast every day too. We would highly recommend staying here!
- Jeffrey (10/5): - Very nice room, especially for the price. About a 20 minute walk to the square, but the walk is along the water which makes it not feel too long! Bed isn’t the most comfortable but better than some I have been to in SE Asia. Nice bathroom and accessible drinks/snacks in the room. Owner is very friendly and responds immediately via WhatsApp!
- Joana (10/5): - If you are looking for an affordable clean and convenient hotel this is your place.
Moon is always on top of anything you might need during your stay, all the staff is very friendly. It will taking you a 20 minutes walk to the ancient city very doable. For the hot weather is very convenient to have a clean pool to refresh your self, this hotel has one 👌 so stop thinking and make your reservation.
- Alain (10/5): - Excellent rapport qualité-prix. Personnel courtois.
- Robert (10/5): - If you want quieter nice nights highly recommend. Owner Mrs. Moon knows everyone there. All family and gets great discounts. Covid killed her businesses growth. But i will stay with here everytime. She knows everyone and all friends and family is awesome. Next to river that floods yearly but never on this hill. Awesome theme park across street and motorbike to rent a cheap price if you can ride. My wife and i decided to land in our near her because weather way better than saigon. This lady will make you want to retire here.
- ROBIN (10/5): - Teething problems at the stsrt due to hotels com neglecting their request to update meps and where they actually are. And why am i only rewarded for 1 star out of 9 requested to have a free night, when i should have 7??
- Mila (4/5): - The Adresse wasn’t right it was 3,7km from the original Adresse.
The hotel isn’t very nice from the outside, the pool is a joke and the area where the hotel is located is like nowhere. It takes a 30 minute walk to get to the city.
You could borrow bikes but these are very old and it wasn’t safe at all.
We agreed on a very good price for all our laundry,
when we checkt out it was the price for 1 kg.
She told us that paying by card wasn’t a problem at all and when we wanted to pay she only accepted cash.
The room was clean but it was so noisy all the time you could hear every word that’s been spoken in this house.
She didn’t told us anything about the breakfast only after I asked here she sended us the menu.
We had to pay for the water which was just to brush our teeth because u can’t use the tap water in Vietnam.
On the page is written that the taxi cost 350000 dong per room but in the end we had to pay 400000 dong.
The service was nice but with everything I said before it wasn’t a nice stay.
- Kim (6/5): OK - Far from everything, not a lot of choices for restaurant selection in the area. House is nice, but can see signs of deterioration (dor knobs falling apart, stained walls, water on wood, etc). Doors not sound proof either, could hear landlord at times talking to their kids. Also, swimming pool looks nice but their was a green film on the pool steps, not sure what that is. Saw cleaner dump dirty cleaning water near pool, so opted not to swim, just sunbathed.
- Kenneth (10/5): - The Green Grass Land Villa was located down a quiet side alley. Moon and her family were very gracious. We enjoyed daily breakfast, which was very good, offering some choices. They helped plan connecting travel for us, which all went smoothly!
- Tisirak (10/5): - Amazing place , not too far from ancient town
- Susanne (10/5): The best! - The Green Grass Land Villa is the best place we have stayed the last 2 months. Delicious breakfast - best pancakes ever, the room have everything you need, location is quiet and Moon, the owner is the soul and heart of it all. You have to stay here.
- Amy (10/5): Amazing stay - During our stay at Green Grass Villas, Moon could not have made us feel more at home!
The location of the villa is on a quiet road very close to the Ancient town. The room was lovely and clean, with a great bathroom. We had breakfast in the morning, which was cooked to order and always delicious!
During the days, Moon recommended places for us to eat and what to do. Using the bikes really helped us getting around town.
In the evenings, Moon was kind enough to sit with us and help plan our next part of our trip, including booking tours in Halong Bay and Phong Nha National park, a motorbike to take through the Hai Van pass and hotels for us to stay in Hue and Hanoi. We really couldn't have done it without her!
Overall we had a fantastic stay here and recommend it to anyone who wants threat visit to Hanoi! Thank you Moon!
- Verena (8/5): HoiAn homestay experience leaves pleasant memories - Moon our homestay hostess was very good corresponding with us before we even arrived, organiizing airport transport. Provided lots of information, enquired about our needs and wishes. Cooked a beautiful dinner one night.
Having cycles to use was helpful as house is at the edge of the old town, but not too far away to walk or cycle. The beaches are within easy cycling distance.
The day trip to MySon was excellent and worthwhile. The drive there is rather long, so the return journey by boat is much easier.
Many operators advertise tours and cooking classes. It pays to look around and compare cost and times. The shops are full of wonderful things, leather goods, silk, fabrics and pretty clothing. Huge selection of restaurants displaying delicious menus. HoiAn is a place not to be missed on a Vietnam visit.
- Ben (10/5): Fantastic place! - Amazing place to stay! Moon is so so helpful- she emailed shortly after we booked offering to organise a pick up from the train station, she gave us a lot of information about the area and made great recommendations for places to go. She booked tours and flights for us. We were also able to hire a scooter from her. Room size is adequate with clean and tidy bathroom. Excellent value for money! We would not consider staying anywhere else if we returned to Hoi An!
- Bar (10/5): Amazing! - Great stay, the owner is soo nice and helpful, speaks good English and serves good breakfast.
There's also free bicycles here, and Moon, the owner sends you to good places-attractions, foods and tailors.
Great stay!
- Luis (6/5): Nice stay, Disappointed in the end - Stayed here for a week. Breakfast is good and bikes are convenient...but very disappointed upon departure.
Got really sick my second night and accidentally puked on a white sheet. She ended up charging me $15 for "cleaning"...white sheets are cheap.
Had a guest over 1 night and was charged FULL PRICE for another nights stay, unlike other hotels that charge maybe 30-40% extra.
Only cleaned my room 3/7 nights I stayed there. Said I didn't leave the room enough, just because I'm working on my computer doesn't mean I don't want clean towels and bedding. Every other hotel I stayed at would knock and ask if I want housekeeping.
Said her driver to and from Da Nang was 300,000 VND, then proceeded to charge me $15 or 345,000.
- Sarah (10/5): The BEST! - I could go on for ages about Green Grass Land Villa! We LOVED our stay here and it was sad to have to leave. Moon was super helpful and knowledgeable. The hotel is in a perfect location, on a quiet street and central to both the beach and the ancient town. Plus, Moon offers free bikes to use to get around. Our room was very clean and comfortable and the price point can't be beat. Our stay in Hoi An was better because we stayed here.
- Verified traveler (8/5): being greeted by your name - The owner takes the time to remember your name which is nice, not many people take the time to do that.
It is a little out of town, but bicycles are about to pop into town.
tours are offered and available if you wish.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Loved the city and this guesthouse! - Book this guesthouse, you won't regret it! The room was well kept, clean, and well air-conditioned. Free bikes were also provided to make getting around the city easier. The owner spoke English very well, and was able to help us with booking taxis to and from the airport, looking into flight prices, and providing us with great suggestions on where to eat and get tailored clothes. We eventually extended our stay for another two nights.
The only con I have is that doing laundry there was relatively expensive to other guesthouses I stayed at. Not a deal breaker though.
- Laurie (10/5): Lovely quiet place - Because the aircon in the room we had booked was broken we were asked prior to arrival if we would mind spending the night at their other villa which was a couple of minutes away - it was no problem for us and the accommodation was excellent. We arrived in the early hours of the morning and were greeted and shown straight to our room with no fuss and received a delicious breakfast in the morning. If you're after a quiet place to stay outside of the hustle and bustle of the old town this is good
- ER (10/5): Great value! - Lovely place to stay in Hoi An, away from the crowds but close to the old town and the beach. Moon was super nice and helpful in so many ways. The food was excellent, room was clean and well appointed. Laundry service and free bicycle rental were really useful too. Would definitely stay again.
- Darren (8/5): Two nights, so helpful. - we stayed here for two nights and thoroughly enjoyed the stay. Moon was so very helpful and offered information accurately and even kept our bags whilst we zoomed of to the Cham Islands for two days. The room was very nice and so cool. Breakfast was also pretty good.
- Graeme (8/5): A great choice to stay. - From the arrival I found the Green Grass very relaxing. Thei assistance from Moon was great and her advices on eateries and transport should be taken seriously. Hotel in good quiet location but not far from the action of Hoi An and the old quarter. Nice family orientated environment to stay amongst whilst in Hoi An. See you again Moon.
- Jan (10/5): - Good place to stay, i can recommend it. Family is lovely.
- Stefan (10/5): - Hoi An is a tourist trap. Green Grass Villa a nice safe and quiet place to relax after a day in the rat hole.
- Sophia (10/5): - Moon and her family were lovely , welcoming and friendly. They made our stay enjoyable and made lovely banana pancakes for breakfast. Very helpful advising us of the attractions. Room very clean and modern very good price .
- Jennifer (10/5): Green Grass Land Villa @ Hoi An - Great stay @ Green Grass Land Villa. Moon the hostess was informative & welcoming. Great breakfast. Perhaps Moon could splash out & provide shampoo & soap another *** hotels. A convienient comfortable stay.
- Christipher (10/5): Friendy and accommodating - I loved my stay here the family is so nice
- Jonathan (10/5): Such a great place. - We booked the Green Grass Villa at very short notice and having been there now we wish we'd had longer to stay and enjoy Hoi An. This was definately a great hotel to stay in and made the whole experience so memorable. We hope to be able to return one day for a longer holiday in the area and this hotel would be a hard one to beat. Free bicycle loans, friendly people very comfortable and all for a great price. What more could you ask for? Moon and her whole family are delightful and really did everything they could to make us feel very welcome. I would recommend this hotel in a flash to anyone staying in the area.
- Christopher Repasy (10/5): Very much like home! - I had a wonderful 3 night stay!
- Alida (10/5): Like coming home! - From the moment we walked through the door, the owners made us feel like we were long-lost family who'd come back home. The warmth of the welcome was extraordinary, and our entire stay felt like being at home. With just eight rooms, and the family living on the ground floor, the hotel feels more like a family home -- that said, the rooms are very private and quiet. The whole building is newly-renovated and absolutely beautiful. And the breakfasts were delicious! The staff were more like extended family, and everyone was eager to make sure we had a great time in Hoi An. Moon, the owner, booked our trip to My Son, and offered great recommendations for what to see and do in town (and my daughter used one of their (free) bicycles to go to the beach). Moon also arranged our airport transfers to and from Da Nang airport (you can reach her at greengrasslandvilla@gmail.com).
- Calvin (10/5): Green Grass Lands Villa Hoi An's Treasure - Moon and her husband Jack and their staff were perfect hosts who treated all their guests with attentive courtesy and respect. My son and I rate our stay at Green Grass Land Villa as one of the finest in over two months of travels through South East Asia. Many thanks to Moon Jack and their superb staff!
- Verified traveler (10/5): convenient, clean, nice - Moon and her family made it a fabulous place to stay. Very welcoming and food was fantastic. Her husband Jack is a very good cook and we eat breakfast and dinner there. It is clean and fresh because he buys what you would like to eat so he can cook for you. Fresh fruits for you from the market if you like if you ask him. Jack's duck dinner was the best. Moon has two children that are so well behave.
Highly recommend the place because she can arrange everything for you while you are there. Clean and very nice place that you feel so welcome.
- Verified traveler (10/5): 5 star hotel - moon was wonderful host, she will accomade any reasonable request
- Ben (10/5): Great Location and Friendly People - I couldn't recommend Green Grass Land Villa more highly. Moon, the owner, is great. She cooks you a homemade breakfast every morning (she even made us dinner one night), and she will arrange taxi service to and from the airport for the same price as a regular taxi. She also does your laundry (small fee) and always greets you when you return and asks if she can help when you are leaving.
The room was immaculate and very modern and clean. For the price you pay here it is a steal. There are also bikes to take into town (5 minute ride) or to the beach (15 minutes).
Book it, you wont have any regrets.
- Stephanie (10/5): Personal service and satisfaction-top priority - Our stay was amazing! We didn't know what to expect with a homestay and the experience was far greater than any we would have had in a hotel or resort in Hoi An. Moon and her husband did everything to make our stay comfortable, and they went out of their way to cook dinner for my mom( and the rest of the guests) so she could experience the food from Hoi An. The food is top notch better than any restaurant we ate at during our visit to Vietnam. The place was clean, a bit unconventional for a shower, but you quickly overlook this when you compare it to the price you paid and the experience you come away with. We would highly recommend their home to those wanting a true Vietnam experience. They offer cooking classes, tours, etc...It's a no brainer!!!
- Sally (10/5): Best hotel ever! - Can't recommend this hotel enough. Moon and her family were wonderful hosts and couldn't do enough for us. The service is fantastic and we were invited to a traditional family meal which was wonderful. We were genuinely sad to leave!
- Dymphna (10/5): Fantastic house share, lovely family - Excellent place to stay, such a great family
- Ezekiel (10/5): lovely stay with incredible hosts - Had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay here. The hotel is simple but clean and comfortable and has everything needed for a pleasant stay. The best part of the stay were our hosts! Moon and her family were extremely welcoming and treated us like family. The breakfast was really delicious and on our last day they cooked us lunch and even invited our 4 friends who weren't even staying at the hotel to lunch. We borrowed the bikes for a ride and when we had issues with one of them Moon was very apologetic and we noticed that they sent the bike for repair immediately so no other guests would have trouble. We were treated with such attentiveness that if we did not see any other guests around we would have thought that we were the only ones staying there. The location is about a 20-25 minute away from the old town but we managed to walk around most of the time. There is a seafood restaurant just next to the hotel that is frequented by locals and also serves very delicious food. Would definitely stay here again without looking into other places and would recommend staying here over a fancy hotel/resort!
- Dianne (10/5): Cannot fault - wonderful stay - I stayed 3 nights and could not have been happier. My room was beautiful with a balcony and marble bathroom. I booked the vegetarian cooking class held onsite which included a visit to Central Markets to buy the produce, helped prepare and cook then ate the delicious 5 dishes with my fellows 'cooks'. I look forward to recreating these dishes soon.
Nothing to fault at all, the linen of high quality, comfortable bed and the most wonderful hosts. The free bikes provided enabled me to go riding each day, easy ride to coastal beaches via rice fields, the ancient village and a couple of rides along the rivers taking in villages nearby.
My husband will join me in Vietnam shortly and look forward to booking another stay with Moon and her family.
Cannot recommend highly enough.
- Vicky (10/5): Homestay & hotel all in one! - The whole stay was fantastic, the family who the run the hotel couldn't do more to make our stay relaxed & comfortable. The cooked breakfasts were amazing & freshly cooked whenever you want them, nice not to have any time restraints. Moon (lady who runs hotel) arranged scooter hire, train tickets & airport transport. She also recommended local places to eat & shop which were very reasonable & friendly. We will definitely be going back & couldn't recommend this hotel more. The best of both worlds - a family stay with the personal touch plus the privacy & comforts of a hotel.
- Alan (10/5): The absolute best stay during my travels! - The hospitality in this place is unbelievable! Moon is the best host anyone can ask for. She makes sure everything is taken care of during your stay and even beyond!
I usually head to cafes to get fast wifi so I can work on my business but this Villa had some great wifi. To my surprise while I was working, Moon invited me to join her family for lunch for a beautiful home cooked meal. I ate with her and her family 2 more times after that as well. One night she invited everyone in the Villa to a vegetarian dinner which was simply amazing.
The rooms itself were great for the price and had everything you needed. Showers were hot, good wifi, drinks were replenished, AC, and comfortable beds.
The most important thing is the service provided by Moon. She helped me book a few trains and used her many connections to help me get a discount for an upcoming boat cruise in Ha Long Bay. She went above and beyond any other host and made me feel like I was back home. The way she took care of me reminded me of a caring mother, and with her newborn baby always happily around the Villa I can understand why!
- Rosie and Tom (10/5): Lovely Hotel - Moon and her family who run the hotel made this hotel our favourite to stay in yet! (we are currently travelling around Vietnam) On arrival we were made a traditional Vietnamese lunch and given really useful information about the area. The hotel is new and very clean and you have the opportunity to borrow the hotel's bikes either to ride to town or the beach :) Moon was who really made the stay special by helping us constantly - even before we arrived she helped us book train tickets from Hué. Hoi An is also beautiful especially if you are lucky enough to go during a festival
- Rachel (10/5): Perfect for a budget stay! - Couldn't have asked for more from our stay at Moon's! Moon greeted us with lemon juice and great advice on trips and the town! Housekeeping was amazing! We are backpacking and left the room in a mess with clothes all over the bed from our rucksacks. not thinking they would worry about the clothes, we went out for the day - they folded everything for us!!!!! Breakfast was delcious with a great variety of choice and delicious green tea and Vietnamese coffee! The free bikes were perfect for getting into the old town in 5/10 mins and to the beautiful an bang beach in 20! During our stay we really felt like part of the family! Thank you moon and family for a great stay! Would highly recommend! Rachel and Jack x
- Robert (8/5): Best little hotel in Hoi An - Great little villa/hotel. Very friendly staff. Moon our host was wonderful. She helped us with directions.taxi, and safety advice. (Not riding the free bike on unlit roads.I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
- Deanise (10/5): Amazingly friendly, helpful and worth Villa - It was an enjoyable stay at Moon's place. She is a very friendly and helpful host. we felt very much at home here. there are free bicycles available to get to the heritage area. The price is worth everything at this villa. Will definitely come back again and will choose this Villa without any hesitation. Moon even help us to contact our next hotel booking which were booked wrongly.
- DAPHNE (8/5): Great hospitality! - Nice, helpful and friendly staff at this place, especially Moon.
The hotel is located in a quiet neighbourhood overlooking paddy fields. Probably a 15-20 min walk to old town.
Nice room but toilet is very small.
Breakfast was sufficient but go for the banana pancake.. it was delicious!
- Leanne (10/5): Stay here while your in Hoi An! - This place is new, clean, and in great condition. But the best part was the family and staff who run the place. They are incredibly kind, welcoming, helpful and truly want to make your stay enjoyable. We loved our time in Hoi An. Would stay there again in a heart beat. Thanks Moon for everything!
- K (10/5): Perfect place to stay in Hoi An. - The hotel is about a 15 min walk to the main part of town. They have bikes you can use for free though so I never had to walk. The hotel was recently built so everything looks new and functions great. Shower has very good water pressure and gets hot water. AC works great and keeps room very cold. The rooms are kept super clean and is cleaned thoroughly daily.
The best part about staying here are the owners. They are very nice and genuinely want to help you during your stay in Hoi An. They helped book my train tickets to my two next destinations and had good recommendations where to eat while I was in hoi an. They even washed my clothes for me!
I would gladly stay here again the next time I'm in hoi an. Book a room here. You won't regret it.
- Mark (10/5): - We planned to stay for 6 days but ended up extending for another night because we loved it so much. The breakfast and coffee in the morning we amazing. The staff is friendly and vey helpful. I would definitely stay here again.
- Hannah (10/5): Cannot recommend this place enough - Cannot recommend this place enough, we had a great stay!
Very welcoming staff, always happy to help you.
Free use of bikes to zip into town or the beach, or just enjoy the surrounding area.
Good breakfast, even better lunches!
Spotlessly clean with daily housekeeping.
Fantastic price for what you get.
A real gem of Vietnam.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great stay here - Good newly built hotel. Host moon is really helpful and breakfast and lunch are delicious.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Wonderful Stay - I spent 4 nights here and it was wonderful. Moon and her husband were super friendly and helpful. The breakfast every morning was delicious! One of my best stays in Vietnam thus far. If you are going to Hoi An, stay here!
- Tae Gyung (10/5): Best place to stay - As you can tell from other reviews, Moon and her family make this place great. It's a nice and clean building with great wifi to begin with, but their hospitality and helpfulness is incomparable. Breakfast is very nice, and I hope no one takes advantage of this, but they invite you to join their meal sometimes, which is just too kind. We loved staying here and Moon and her family made our experience in Hoi An so much better.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Excellent stay! - Moon and her well trained crew were so friendly and they made us feel at home right away. The room was sparklingly clean with stable wifi and daily house cleaning and fresh towels. Fantastic value for the price! The location is about a 15-20 minute walk from the old town but it's close
To the two beaches nearby. Bicycles were provided for free to explore the city and breakfast was delicious. Highly recommended!
- David (10/5): A true home away from home. - Thanks to Moon and her family of helpers I had the best and most pleasant stay, it really felt like I was part of the family.
The rooms were so clean, filled with light and quiet for a peaceful sleep.
I highly recommend Green Grass Lands for the ultimate experience in accommodation in Hoi An.
- Ellen Lennard (10/5): Great stay! - We had a great stay here and wish we could have stayed longer. The rooms were so clean and new and the staff was so friendly and helpful. Moon, the owner, is so kind and gave us great recommendations and helped us with anything we needed. It was so nice to use the free bicycles to make the short ride into town every day and the free breakfast was delicious. They even invited us to an incredibly delicious home cooked vietnamese lunch. Definitely recommend! !!!
- Ian (10/5): highly reccommend - Can't say enough positive things about Moon, her family, and her staff. Planned on staying 5 nights and ended up staying 11! She always invited us for lunches with her (no charge) which were delicious. The rooms were spotless and new with tons of space. Her staff were very friendly and always eager to help. I got sick at one point and one of the staff brought me homemade soup to eat. Highly recommend!
- Liz (10/5): Wonderful! - Everything about our stay was wonderful. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Moon, who owns the hotel/house, with tea and breakfast (definitely recommend the banana pancake-amazing!). She helped us arrange for a transfer, which is a cheaper option than grabbing a taxi at the airport, despite our flight getting changed, too. She was always super helpful and answered emails very promptly.
The house is a very short bike ride (or you can walk) to the city and about 4-5k bike ride to the beach. They have bikes you can use at no additional charge, which is awesome. Moon also invited us to lunch at the house for a local home made meal and answered our questions about the daily life in Vietnam.
The rooms were very clean and they make the beds everyday. They also provide clean towels everyday and give you towels for the beach. The hot water turns on quickly and lasts unlike most other hotels. The air conditioning also works very well unlike most other hotels.
I would definitely stay there again and have already recommended her home to others!
- George (10/5): Lovely family offering guests friendly service - Lovely family offering guests friendly service in a home environment. Owner will provide advice about Hoi An and make arrangements for airport transfer, taxi, motor rental, motorcycle rental, etc. The family is generous with breakfast and offering the excellent Vietnamese coffee and tea throughout the day.
Would stay here again.
- Siew San (8/5): Home away homestay - We were on honeymoon. After check-in our 1st night at another homestay located stone throw away, we straight away hunt around and found Green Grass Land Villa which my husband and i was happy and comfortable with the environment and book without hesitation as it make us feel like home.
Owners and staffs was great, they speak well english and helpful. We manage to eat all yummy local food throughout our stay in Hoi An thanks to Moon (lady boss) for the recommendations. We too are lucky to be invited for home cook lunch on our last day.
We had a wonderful stay here and happy and sweet memories for our honeymoon. You will not regret stay at Green Grass Land Villa. We were satisfied to the extend we even suggesting our family to have a family trip to Hoi An, a nice and relax place and MUST stay at Green Grass Land Villa.
It was heaven and earth compared to our 1st night at memories homestay with good reviews and totally different from the pictures posted which the actual place was horrible, we do not even want to stay a second there. It was sooooo dirty, room was not ready for us even we had book in advance, unfriendly owner, lots of mosquito due to those 'rubbish' storage infront of our room entrance and the homestay 'jungle' entrance.
- Alex (10/5): best in Hoi an - this hotel is simply the best. the host, moon is so nice. very accommoding and able to help you make your stay in Hoi an amazing. she knows all the best places to stay and is able to help you with everything along the way.
the rooms are clean and nice, the pillows are actually soft and comfortable unlike many other hotels in the area. the bathrooms are modern. this is the best place to stay in Hoi an hands down.
I went to Hoi an without knowing anything or having any sort of plan and moon made the trip amazing. Vietnamese hospitality at its best. breakfast is included and very good. most days she makes lunch and invites all the guests to join her and her family to eat, at no charge. the hotel was truly the highlight of my stay. I wish I could have stayed there much longer. I can't wait to come back!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Most welcoming hotel - We arrived here around 11:30AM and Moon welcomed us with a cup of tea and a smile. We had to wait for our room for around 30 minutes and it wasn't an issue, as Moon sat with us and told us all about Hoi An and the places to go, things to do and gave us a map of the town too. She then invited us to lunch with her and her team and the food was absolutely gorgeous! Once we finished she then invited us again to dinner and I started to worry that the bill would soon tally up so asked how much, and she smiled and said it was free... awesome food and awesome company - all part of the service!
Our room was modern, super cool air con, bed was comfy, bathroom again modern and clean, and we even had a balcony to enjoy too.
Moon helped us out with a trusted tailor and i got some top quality suits and Moon again sorted out shipping them home no problem, she also helped us choose a cooking course hassle free. We booked it and had a fantastic time - great choice Moon!
There is also free use of the bikes to cycle to town, takes about 5-10 mins and is a easy ride, and you can hire a Moped from here too.
Literally don't have a bad word to say about this hotel, we loved our stay here and wish we could have stayed longer, and all for a very reasonable price - would definitely recommend.
- Joe (10/5): Excellent Stay - My stay here was absolutely excellent. The host family is amazing and so kind and makes everyone feel so welcome. I booked two nights and ended up staying an extra week. The breakfast was really good and they often will invite you to eat lunch or dinner which their food is so good and homemade. Also, the hotel sits next to rice fields which was so pleasant to see everything time coming and going. Hoi An is absolutely amazing too. By far my favorite place in Vietnam yet.
- Chris Mayo (10/5): A great place to stay! - Green Grass Land Villa is a great place to stay in Hoi An.
The location is close to town, but in a quiet area so its easy to rest. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and with good AC if needed.
The host, Moon, is so nice and helpful. She even helped me buy a new phone when I lost mine. Any time I am in Hoi An I will stay here.
- richard (10/5): Warm, friendly, first class care at best price! - We had a wonderful time because of the care and hospitality of Moon, the villa manager. Breakfast was great and provided anytime we came down to the kitchen. Moon arranged everything we needed form scooter rental to our transportation to the airport and included it all on our bill. Totally reasonable prices for everything. This is FIRST class!
- Jindřich (10/5): Great place to stay - If you go to Hoi An this is the place, was looking on tripadvisor and this place is exactly like it says. We were welcomed by Moon a great host and awesome cook!
- Mary (10/5): Great place - you won't be disappointed! - We booked a 3 night stay but we loved Hoi An & were made so welcome by Moon & her family that we extended our stay for another 3 nights. Our room was big, bright & airy & immaculately clean. It use great to have free use of bicycles because we cycled to the beach most days. I felt we came as strangers but were made to feel like family & I would like to thank Moon & her family for making our stay so enjoyable
- Lara (10/5): Perfect! - The owner Moon does an amazing job of welcoming her guests to feel entirely at home here. The food was delicious, rooms are spacious and clean, the hotel is centrally located near town and the beach, and overall my stay was perfect from start to finish.
Book a stay here - you won't be disappointed!
- Mark (10/5): great hotel and owners - We had a great stay at green grass villa, the owners moon and her husband were very friendly, they made you feel very welcome and the other staff were very nice too, cooked breakfast every morning which was delicious, rooms were immaculate and serviced every day, use of free bikes were great for going into town or going to the beech, we would highly recommend this hotel, great little hotel with lovely owners :-)
- michael (10/5): Owner operated. Very caring. Well maintained. - Like being at home but better. You will get the little extras that make not being in a hotel nice
- Thomas (10/5): Best hosts ever! - Arrived as a solo traveller, departed as a family member. Best hosts ever! Villa 10 out of 10 points, Moon and Jack 12 out of 10!!!
- Cheryl (10/5): Lovely place - This is a lovely hotel, run by a fantastic family who were so friendly and helpful. We would highly recommend.
- Erika (10/5): Best guesthouse & breakfast in Vietnam! - We stayed here for a whole week, absolutely loved every ounce of it. I honestly didn't want to leave! It's a nice 20 min bike ride (nice new bikes to rent for free!) to a beautiful beach (sit near the front of the 2nd restaurant on the right, friendliest service & terrific food!) and a 10-15 min walk to the Old Town, lots to see on the way! In the week we spent there, I could have easily been talked into living in Hoi An! Moon & her husband were so accommodating & friendly, and honestly cook THE best mango pancake/breakfast. They also helped us arrange our tour to Cham Islands, it was perfect! We will forever hold this place close to our hearts, as we got engaged in the Old Town on Valentine's & we may even have to come back here for our honeymoon! I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to really get the most out of Hoi An, but I warn you...you won't want to leave! See you guys again soon & good luck with the new baby!
- Susan (10/5): immaculate - Owner Moon couldn't have made us more welcome. Her and her husband always had time to chat. The hotel is immaculate and our room was bright and airy with a large window and patio doors. Bedding and curtains were very nice. It's a couple of minute's walk to restaurants and about twenty mins walk to the centre. We took advantage of the free bikes.
- Cheryl (10/5): Amazing family run place - We absolutely loved our stay with Moon and her family. The small hotel is very new so it is in excellent condition. The free pick up and bicycles were fantastic and Moon and her husband couldn't do enough for us. It was fairly chilly while we were in Hoi An so were given extra bedding to keep us warm. Our room wasn't cleaned during our 4 night stay, but I'm sure they would have cleaned it if we'd asked. Breakfast was amazing with plenty of choice and cooked fresh (the only thing we would add to the breakfast menu would be black tea). The location is set amongst rice fields and about a 15 minute cycle from the town centre which was perfect for us. We would highly recommend staying here, mainly because of the lovely family who run it!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Wonderful stay with great hosts - Free bikes
- Marcos (10/5): best stay in southeast Asia! - best hotel ever!! When you first get there it feels like you are in a friends house, but with a much better room and bathroom facilities. After it just feels like home. Miss Moon and her family makes everything in their power to guaranty the best stay in hoi an and in their hotel. Really difficult these days to find someone really concerned about your well beying Like they do !! Bikes are for free what makes it really easy to come and go and have a really nice night of sleep far from the city bars noise. For breakfast, try the banana pancakes! Hope to come back soon!
- Andrew (10/5): Brilliant new hotel - This hotel only opened in January 2016, so everything is brand new and all the fixtures and fittings top quality. I slept incredibly well here in the amazingly comfy new beds too. The owner/manageress "Moon" is a delightful lady and her inclusive breakfast delicious. I arrived by motor bike and she has secure parking for scooters and bicycles in her small courtyard garden that is locked at night. She also loans bikes. The spacious and high ceilinged rooms with balconies have terrific views over the adjacent rice paddy fields. I shall stay here again definitely.
- Mike (10/5): Hoi An's hottest home stay - Lovely small hotel, within walking distance of Hoi An centre. Moon and her family made us feel very welcome and no task was too big or small - from laundry, booking tours and arranging transport to and from the airport. Rooms were fresh, clean and well maintained. Breakfast was tasty and varied, and the opportunity to share a meal with the host family and fellow guests was a real treat.
- Courtney Brisson (10/5): YOU NEED TO STAY HERE! Most amazing staff! - BEST STAY IVE EVER HAD..
Never have I or my boyfriend felt more welcomed in a hotel, let alone any place, that wasnt our home! Getting to the hotel extremely late on our first night, 1am to be exact (this was from personal error), not only were we greeted by the sincerely worried owners, who had tried contacting us by email and phone call to find out if we were okay and or needed to be picked up (my phone died so I was unreachable).
But they, after hearing we were hungry and not to mention having just woken up to let us in, cooked us a full dinner of fish, pork, rice, soup, plus dessert and even gave us complimentary beers!
The whole time genuinely being happy we were okay and made it to their hotel safely.
With the amazing staff alone I would recommend this place to ANYONE staying in Hoi An!
But it gets even better.. the rooms are absolutely beautiful, the beds super comfy and the location AMAZING! Right next to rice fields, you get beautiful scenery while being only one street away from a main road! Its within walking distance of many restaurants, shops and even Old town!
Did I mention breakfast is included and the rate is extremely affordable? Both my boyfriend and I wish we could stay much longer than the 3 nights we have, but we only have month long visas in Vietnam and lots more to see. But next time were in Hoi An we are certainly staying here!
