- Charlotte (10/5): - Really cool style and good vibes to the hostel! Everyone was so friendly especially Jane one of the reps ! It’s great for booking activities with CK hostel itself & Everywhere is clean and tidy. 10/10 stay will be back soon
- LeoraD (9/5): - Very nice helpful staff! The private room was simple but clean and really all you need. Located on top of a bar.. loud at night
- Isabelle (8/5): - Bed was comfy and room looked fresh. There were a few stains on the walls but overall felt clean. Location is good only 2 mins to Sairee beach and loads of restaurants and bars close by. Very social hostel if you want to get involved in nights out or parties. Not for you if you’re not into the party scene. We were kept up until early hours of the morning with the club music down the road.
- Scott (8/5): -
- Seth (8/5): -
- Maayan (4/5): -
- Phillip (7/5): - The towels were fantastic
And The English man that was working there was fantastic unfortunately there was loud music until about 1- 2 o'clock in the morning
- Molly (10/5): The best stay in Thailand! - Location was perfect, staff really made the stay, Demi, hector, vic and jade were amazing, planned activities for us every day/night and gave us the best recommendations for the area. One of the reasons we extended our stay! The most social hostel I’ve ever stayed in, would stay again! Nothing
- Gal (10/5): -
- Nadav (7/5): - Best location, friendly staff, comfortable room with balcony Sometimes there were no water in the shower, didn’t change sheets often, laundry gave back the clothes the same but with smell spray
- Maisie (8/5): - Very friendly atmosphere, staff were helpful. Rooms were clean and comfortable, easy to meet people. Short walk to Sairee beach and 7-11 across the road.
- Ahran (6/5): - Friendly Cleaning, 시설
- Celine (2/5): Schlimmster Aufenthalt.
- Fiona (6/5): - Good open space in lobby area for hanging out
Big private room lots of space for bags
Water fountain downstairs water stopped working in my room a few times. - sorted out fairly promptly but very inconvenient.
- Mar (8/5): - Está justo en el centro. Había hormigas en la habitación
- Hana (4/5): Not worth the price - The location is great and the common areas are fun. Volunteers at the hostel are very nice. Facilities and rooms were not well maintained, specifically the bathrooms and locks on doors and towels and sheets were stained.
The drinks at the in-hostel bar are more expensive than most other restaurants/bars/hostels in the area (even at happy hour).
There was an activity where we went to Tanote Bay. We were told everything was included for 100b (including taxi) and yet when we were leaving the beach the volunteer said it was an additional 500b for the taxi ride home (we had to cover her portion as well). The advertisement has said “free taxi” so we assumed that meant free taxi both ways… not only one way. I spoke to the manager of CK, Adam, and he was so rude. Basically just waved me off and blamed the volunteer. Going off the posters in the hostel and the WhatsApp message Adam had sent, it clearly stated the total cost was 100b. The whole interaction rubbed me the wrong way.
If you want to stay in this area, go to Revolution Hostel!
- Sarah (7/5): Would stay again - Great environment if youre wanting to socialise meet new people. Not super loud compared to other hostels in the area and good location
- Assael (10/5): Exceptional - The volunteers in the hostel are so kind and nice.
Especially Isabella!! She is the best!
- Daniel (3/5): Great location but nothing else good. Very noisy and basic. Not with the cost. - The location was good and the staff were nice, that’s about it. The room was very basis even though we booked a deluxe private. You need to go and empty your bin and get more toilet paper yourself, no one comes and changes these out for extended stays (6 nights). Also extremely loud. The bars nearby do karaoke until 1:30am and you can hear everything. Shower floods, some lights don’t work, no tv remote.
- James (4/5): Disappointing -
- Harding (10/5): Gema was amazing - Gema
- Philip (10/5): Amazing, value for money, amazing staff especially Gema - The social interaction and the staff member Gema No curtains on the beds
- Lucy (7/5): Good - Great location, clean and relatively comfortable Staff didn’t really seem to have much of a clue
- Steven (10/5): Exceptional - Mali and the staff are super friendly. The pool table area is good fun, alongside some mini events they put on such as karaoke. I had a private room as I’m too old for dorms but still felt involved. I would recommend this place to anyone and will stay here again next time I’m in Tao Nothing
- Inani (10/5): One pf the best hostels I’ve stayed in ever - Everything
- Harvey (10/5): Exceptional - All the staff there are so friendly and welcoming, they ensure that everyone is getting involved in the activities. They provide everything that you will need like a bike/laundry etc. Natasha made this trip so much more comfortable by helping us book trips and showing us what parties on the island are the best. The room was very clean and modern with a nice balcony too. Would deffo recommend this hostel to anyone who wants to chill or party because its got something for everyone.
- Jessica (6/5): Pleasant - Loved itttt
- Mathur (10/5): Exceptional -
- Zara (10/5): Exceptional - We arrived at ck hostel and were welcomed with opened arms. Timtim showed us really cool places around koh tao. The atmosphere in the hostel was very chill and Timtim and all his friends were really outgoing and cool! best hostel on koh tao ✌️🤙🫶
- Nicoleta (1/5): Location good. Rest was deplorable - Location One couple had sex naked in the room and were making noises without caring that 3 people told them to stop.
- Tash (10/5): 👌 - Staff and Reps were all helpful and fun. Easily handled the few questions i had. private room bathroom was beautiful You can hear music from the Local at night which is cool if you like whatever’s being played
- Vibhuti (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing Location, clean and comfortable NA
- Lotte (5/5): Passable - No bed bucks which is good. Good air conditioning Only go here if you want to stay in a not so clean party hostel. Very loud music that you can completely hear in your room. Bed had stains and a few hairs. I expect more for 2000 baths a night.
- Alexia (5/5): Passable -
- Valeria (3/5): Poor - The only good thing was the location, which was within walking distance of the beach and good restaurants. The bar/club in front of the hotel made it almost impossible to sleep (even though they provided earplugs). The door to balcony is not a proper door so there is always a gap where the sound from outside comes through.
The bathroom...There was no hot water in the shower, the towels didn't smell clean, the showerhead holder was broken so it barely held the showerhead. Sometimes there was no water.
No safe box to store your valuables.
It felt like the staff didn't want to work.
There was nothing "deluxe" about the room
- Ellie (1/5): Never again 🤢🤢 - There was nothing to like about this hostel.
Very bad vibes from the beginning.
None of the staff r Thai people, all very clicky in there to.
We stayed in a private room and asked for towels they give us a blanket.
Please don’t make the same mistake we made by booking this hostel one of the weirdest vibes we had travelling. Stay in nomad hostel
This was embarrassing to say the least and there should be big changes going ahead
- Fagan (3/5): Koh Tao is expensive but if you're booking a double room, just spend that little bit extra... - Good location if you want nightlife. Cute dogs. Although somewhat friendly, staff not helpful. Explained to desk that our A/C not working, he replied "oh s*!t swear?" and then walked off hitting his vape without asking for room number and the issue wasn't resolved. Floor of our room was incredibly dirty upon arrival. Top of storage covered in thick dark dust. Rainfall shower head didn't work. Very noisy late at night, both surrounding areas and other people staying there. Heavy rainfall caused our window to leak and soak our bed. Leaking ceilings everywhere and in several rooms. One room door had several holes punched in (?) which revealed it was literally made of cardboard, no hyperbole.
- Carys (8/5): Very good -
- Maria (8/5): Very good - Very well located in the area of sairee beach, many restaurants around, 7 eleven, close to the beach. Staff were super nice and would help you with whatever you needed Beds don't have curtains, I had the top bunk and it didn't have stairs so I had to climb a stool. Cleanliness isn't that good. It's close to many bars, so you can hear the loud music until late at night
- Ilona (6/5): Nice and clean room, but very noisy at night - Private refurbished room is very nice , however not a good value for money, considering that for this price or cheaper you can stay is a 3+ star hotel (which we did after, but couldn’t do before due to lack of availability).
There are very loud (karaoke)parties in the neighbourhood (by feel it sounds like they are actually in this hostel. So if you want to sleep before 2:30 it will be a challenge.
- Nicholas (6/5): Pleasant - Staff, location Beds, rooms, showers, toilets, floors
- Jesse (5/5): Decent stay overall, not worth the price though. - Great common area, organized fun activities for cheap, and great people!! Free breakfast is great too Bunkbeds in dorms are too scrammed together and have no curtains so literally ZERO privacy. Bathrooms in the room get so gross so quick and stink.
- Méliza (6/5): One night, more more. - The bed as confortable and location was good. The staff (the two White boys) not very nice. I ask one of them for a second blanket because I was next just below the air conditioner, he say they didn’t have and that I could were a jumper… 20 beds per room (it wasn’t written on the description page), no curtain, only small lockers. Breakfast is just fruit, bread, teas and coffee. It’s very expensive for the service they give!!
- Angelo (3/5): Poor -
- Thomas (7/5): Good stuff - Good location, friendly staff Water fountain wasn’t maintained that well. Minor as a 7/11 is 50ft away but annoying for obvious reasons
- Ella (3/5): Poor -
- Moss (5/5): Nothing attractive, poor Maintenance enanc - Good location if you like this type of town Very noisy until late
The bathroom was dirty, the silicon around the shower and basin very mouldy
- Inés (7/5): Recommend for backpackers! - Central and great walking distance to everything. Great vibes & helpful staff. Room was clean and aircon worked well. Only negative is that there was little to no water pressure which made showering hard.
- Ihsan (3/5): Poor - Location not bad ..30min valking to centrum 5 min valking to beach...staffs are good and nice. Rooms are worst... I had better time in military service...there is no privacy...beds are shaking.. top or down bed doesn't matter if someone moves u are waking up..no one checking Aircon.. it's freezing inside..after first day averbody got sick..one one cares hotel rules..people keep bringing their friends to the room and makes noice... social are I saw big rat... and one night other one try to bite one boys foot...I tried to find other places during my stay but everywhere was full...
- Shani (6/5): Pleasant -
- Natalie (1/5): Terrible Hostel, Extremely Dirty - The staff tried their best to be accomodating and kind. Genuinely one of the worst hostels I've stayed in so far. The entire place is really dirty and drab looking. When you walk in, they make you take off your shoes, but the entire floor is dusty and dirty, to the point where my feet were filthy after walking up one flight of stairs and down a hallway. The bunkbeds were standard, and the mattress comfy enough. However, many of the sheets had stains on them and didn't feel very clean. The bunkbeds are also quite unstable, so when one person moves, the whole thing moves. Makes being on the top bunk really hard and kind of dangerous. The washrooms had toilet seats that didn't fit the toilet, and on some occasions, the lid for the tank was missing. There are also a plenthora of stains on the walls of the washroom as well. As I was about to go to sleep for the night, this guy came and told me I was in his bed. So the two of us have to go down to reception and figure out what's wrong. They explain that they made an error and that I should be in a different bed. So I get shown my new bed, which hasn't been remade or cleaned. So I have to wait whilst a very kind volunteer remakes the bed for me with new sheets. However, this set of sheets also had stains on it as well (see picture). Overall, it was just a really unpleasant experience. I understand that it's a budget hostel, but budget or not, no one should have to stay in a place that dirty.
- Hanson (8/5): Very good -
- Cooper (6/5): Cheap so can’t complain, overall not bad for the price - Good location and events that run from the hostel Bathrooms were a bit iffy, water stopped working for half a day which was a pain
We had a private room and the ac kept dropping on our head
- Qubeka (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jones (1/5): Disgusting and Uncomfortable - Location was good if you want to party Most uncomfortable bed i’ve ever slept in. The Hostel gave me and all my friends the worst virus/sickness we’ve ever had. Toilets barley functional - WOULD NOT RECOMMEND 0/10
- Jonathon (10/5): Exceptional - Absolutely love this hostel, alot of couch space and full bar and some amazing Burmese curry!! Everyone here quickly treats you like family. Even have new rain showers in the dorms! Nothing
- Dorian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Grimster (8/5): Very good -
- Kelleher (6/5): Pleasant - The room was lovely, bed was very comfortable and the location is perfect. Close to lots of bars and restaurants. The staff could have been more helpful and welcoming. Not many events on from the hostel during day.
- Raj (8/5): Very good -
- Riikka (6/5): Maybe for party people - The private room’s bed was wide. AC worked well. The hostel is on the main road, so it’s noisy from the road, the bars next door and also from the inside where people bang the doors. In the private room was a bit musty smell. The towels were like quilts, that didn’t dry you at all. There were no fridge or safety box. Maybe it’s a good place a bit younger party people :)
- Shane (7/5): Good -
- Julian (1/5): Not worth. Dont stay there. - Nothing at all. Just the location Everything. Dirty place, really really bad stuff. We booked for 3 nights and we left the first one because the noise and the uncleanliness. Not recommended. The stuff was very lazy.
- Oz (5/5): Passable -
- Joshua (1/5): I don’t remember being there - Power cut Shit room mates
- Ella (8/5): Very good -
- Joe (10/5): Exceptional - I like how accomodating the staff is and also welcoming. It was my first time in a hostel and I'm happy that I booked CK hostel. Everyone is friendly and nice.
- Tal (10/5): Exceptional - Goob place good stuff :)
- Chiara-alexandra (9/5): Amazing - It’s the second time I came here and I love it. Staff is really nice, dorms are clean, big space and confortable. The location is perfect They give a pretty small blanket, I got a bit cold the next morning
- Thiti (9/5): Superb -
- Guilhem (6/5): check in complicated I had to ask 3x to know which bed was my, no hot water for the shower and they tell you yes when yo - Good location and nice common area Bad organisation, no hot water for the shower,
- Its (6/5): Pleasant -
- Leah (5/5): Spend your money elsewhere u less you fit the demographic - Noise genuinely cuts off at 12 and it’s easy to get to sleep then. No noise around until approx 9am too. There is a few good organised activities by the hostel, I’m sure there is something for everyone. It is only 5 minute walk to Sairee beach and so many food options around for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There’s a house dog too !! Baggage storage was handy and right across the road from a 7-11 and taxi stand This is a stoner hostel, the people who stay here only smoke weed on the hostel couches and don’t interact with anyone. We booked two rooms exactly the same and I requested they be close to each other. The hostel confirmed we would be beside each other. I also asked the hostel for a transfer from the arrival pier to the hostel and I got no response. We were on two different floors and one room was noticeably much nicer than the other, with one having a fridge and one not. The drains absolutely reeked to the point that if one person in the entire hostel gets sick, you can smell it from your drain. Beds are uncomfortable. I stayed 4 nights and room was never cleaned or not even an offer for new towels. The towels we originally got were damp and smelled dirty. Rooms are not soundproof at all, to the point where you can hear people breathing and walking in the corridor outside. TV is so useless that they don’t even give the remote.
- Gonzalo (8/5): OK - Big room with AC The bed and the ants.
- Emilia (10/5): I Fell in love - ❤️ Ferris Nothing
- Edel (4/5): Disappointing - Location was excellent Very loud music, rooms are not at all sound proof. Our room was being renovated therefore hadn’t been painted yet
- Daisy (5/5): Passable - Seemed pretty social, good location, nice bathroom and hot water for pot noodles! It felt very overpriced for what you get and it was SO loud at night from the karaoke bar next door. The smell of weed downstairs was very overpowering at 7am in the morning!
- Hector (9/5): Superb -
- Arsalan (10/5): Nice - Facilities around
- Porsche_maestro (10/5): Exceptional - What a great introduction to Koh Tao! Such an awesome place within walking distance from the beach, restaurants and awesome nightlife. The staff are also super friendly and helpful. Nada
- Jordan (8/5): Very good -
- Chiara-alexandra (7/5): Good -
- Justin (2/5): Sleepless nights - Its a decent location and ok priced. Beds are decent. Some of the staff were pretty nice, while some of the volunteer staff there are just clearly there for the party and seem to be very incompetent. The hostel has a quite time rule from 10pm in the rooms, however it does not hell when the volunteer staff in the hostel plays music on his speaker in the hostel dorm in which he is staying in at 11.15pm when there are people clearly trying to sleep. Worst of all, he seemed to facilitate and enable other guests to party and drink and talk loudly in the dorms at 11pm as well. For someone that is representing the hostel, he does not do a good job at all in upholding the rules of the hostel.
Smokes weed all day and comes into the room and fills the entire room with the smell of weed.
Beds are decently clean. If you are lucky, you get a little bit of heating from the toilet showers. You get pretty selfish people who hang their wet clothes in the bathroom which leaves u no space to hang your stuff when you need to shower.
You get a bunch of colourful personalities in the hostel. I get that it’s a party hostel, but i think it’s still pretty absurd that you get people coming back at 3am or 5am and trashing and playing about and talking loudly in the rooms. There were barely any nights i could get some proper sleep. Book this hostel at your own risk.
- Jai (6/5): Stay here to go out - Good location social as well Rooms kinda dead
- Jake (3/5): Poor - Not clean, ants, dirty towels, laundry wasn’t even washed with proper detergent, extremely noisy, uncomfortable beds. Plumbing made loud noise all day and night.
- Amy (6/5): Pleasant -
- Sophie (8/5): Very good -
- Nayantara (8/5): Very good - Location is good, decent pool table. Clean room Not consistent hot water. Loud at night time
- Mia (5/5): Only stay here if you are going to be out every night partying - Location is about the only redeeming thing about this hostel The room was extremely basic. Literally concrete walls and floors. One white wall in our room which was completely covered in orange stains and handprints with dirt and god knows what stuck to it. The bathroom is also very basic. For the amount we paid it was not up to scratch. We were left with little choice as places get booked up quickly in Koh Tao. We expected noise due to location but it was very loud every single night. My only advise is to wear apple noise cancelling AirPods but you won’t get a comfortable sleep in them.
Staff seemed to be non existent. We had no toilet roll, towels weren’t changed and we were there for 4 nights 5 days.
- Serena (7/5): Good - Location is great!
- James (8/5): Very good -
- Hume (8/5): Very good -
- Young (1/5): Booked 2 private rooms in one the Aircon wasn’t changing to lowest, shower sprayed out from every different angle that w - We didn’t like anything about this hostel The staff at front desk don’t really know what’s happening when I asked about the activities to join the girl just goes “oh I don’t know, I wasnt here yesterday” I wasn’t expecting 5 star but we’ve been staying in hostels and this was by far the worst
- Craig (7/5): In the thick of it, - Pool table and bar, good seating area to chill in in the early hours. Helpful staff introduction upon arrival and no problems and a good space to keep bags in after check out door handles to rooms have to be closed in a weird way when you are inside the room that most people can't figure out so if you sleep near the door expect to hear alot of noise, disturbance and get woke up every time someone comes in and out of the room my bed was right next to the door tho. Also bunk beds are flimsy as f*** every movement shook/wobbled the bed so hard to sleep just hope no one else on your bunk. If they had more solid I guess less cheap bunks and normal door handles it'd be completely fine place to sleep
- Julia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Callum (4/5): Okay in a push - Good location The staff were very inexperienced and did not communicate well with each other, they turned a simple 1 night extension into a big ordeal, we asked to move rooms then put back in the same room and then tried to charge us for 2 other rooms. The bar area was quite dirty and wasn’t as social as we’d hoped
- Daniel (7/5): Good -
- Aaron (7/5): If you are looking for loud and noisy in the middle of it then this is your place, if not then best look elsewhere. - Great location
