Tenían varios gatos y muy tranquilos y monos:) En el baño una vez que encendías la luz o cerrabas la puerta, olía raro y un poco desagradable.

Adapté autant pour un groupe d'amis, qu'en couple ou en famille, on s'y retrouve forcément. Petit déjeuner top, fait maison. - anette (8/5): Sensationell, jederzeit gerne wieder. - Pierre, der Eigentümer des Hotels hat uns richtig herzlich empfangen und genau erklärt wo was ist im Hotel und wo was an Sehenswürdigkeiten zu erleben ist, angefangen von Abenteueraktivitäten bis hin zur Bank und Supermarkt. Im meinem ganzen Leben bin ich noch nie so freundlich und ausführlich aufgeklärt worden zum Thema Hotel oder umliegende Aktivitäten. Er hat uns auch geholfen beim Ausflug buchen zu Cano Island. Ich hatte eine andere Empfehlung und hätte das fünffache bezahlt bei der anderen Agentur, ohne ihn. Sehr gemütliches, Ambiente, super gepflegt, grün, einge gewachsen und es ist alles da, was das Herz begehrt. Von dem Frühstückskaffee waren wir auch sehr geflasht. Frisches Obst, Waffeln, Rührei, Saft, Wasser, Kaffee, alles, was das Herz begeht und sehr üppig bestückt. Das war unsere letzte Station von den drei Wochen Rundreise, und so ein Frühstücksbuffet hatten wir nur in San José im Hilton Hotel.
- Lisa (9/5): Wir würden hier wieder eine Nacht verbringen. - Wir hatten für eine Nacht das Deluxe-Zimmer gebucht, was sich als umgebauter Bus herausstellte. Es war wirklich eine besondere Übernachtungsatmosphäre. Der Platz war für zwei Personen total ausreichend, man muss natürlich bedenken, dass es eine Art Camping ist, was ja immer eher beengt ist. Es war sehr sauber und uns hat an Ausstattung für eine Nacht nichts gefehlt. Als Frühstück würde uns das typische costa-ricanische Essen serviert, das war sehr lecker. Ansonsten gab es noch Buffet. Die Atmosphäre ist sehr angenehme und locker, wie es meistens bei Hostels ist. Wir würden die Unterkunft definitiv wieder buchen! Über dem Bus steht ein Baum, von dem fallen relativ viele kleine "Früchte" runter und das ist relativ laut zu hören. Für alle, die mit der Lautstärke empfindlich sind..

- Richard (10/5): Comfortable safe and economical - A very interesting place. Different kinds of rooms for different kinds of travelers. Numerous places to hang out and meet other travelers in the facility. There was a nice pool, and probably could use a little more cleaning, but it was very comfortable. soaking. The staff was super friendly and helpful in every way. A totally safe environment. There was a nice kitchenette, so you could buy groceries and eat there.

- delphine (10/5): - Le dorm est ultra confortable, le lieu est décoré avec goût, on se sent bien dans les différentes ambiances. Le petit déjeuner est très bon, Pierre est très sympathique et de bon conseil. Il est super agréable de se baigner dans la piscine et l'hôtel est relativement grand par rapport au nombre de lits donc ok ne se marche pas dessus. Tout était nickel ! La localisation est parfaite pour l'arrivée en bus, un peu moins pour les activités mais il est possible de louer des vélos donc ça compense !

- Nicol (10/5): This is 10/10 and would absolutely love to come again! - This is absolutely amazing place to stay in! Friendly staff, close to restaurants/supermarket/bakery, parking spaces, pool, delicious buffet breakfast and not to forget the happiest happy hour with tasty margaritas! Dorm was clean, spacious, comfy beds, working A/C. Shower is both outside and inside, including hot water! Books to read, hammocks, co-working space, this place has absolutely everything you need and much more!

- Matthijs (8/5): Leuke tussenstop aan westkust met zwembad - Zwembad! Leuke vibe, door combinatie met slaapzalen veel zelf kokende jongelui. Ik gebruik dat allemaal niet maar alles was er. Het zit ‘boven’ de grote weg, het centrum bevindt zich juist daaronder. Ik had geen zin om te rijden en lopend zit je dan net iets verder van de actie/restaurants af.

Das Hostel selbst ist schön und gemütlich eingerichtet, hat alles was man braucht, die Betten sind gut und das Frühstück ist super. Alles in allem ein unschlagbares Preis-Leistungsverhältnis! Wollte nur 1 oder 2 Tage bleiben, am Ende waren es 4. Würde jeder Zeit wieder kommen.

Laundry service for a charge was fab large basket wash n dry. Nothing really good location for us with plenty restaurants nearby and ATM. Fab piercing and tattoo shop if you’re into that, nearby. Walkable to Uvita waterfall and Pierre gives fab instructions how to get there. Great Tap room for craft beers close by also.

- Franck (10/5): Meilleur hôtel, et rapport qualité/prix 😋 - Le personnel est adorable, que ce soit Pierre ou les 2 autres personnes qui gèrent la réception/bar. Dortoir moderne avec des « cabines » et rideaux (prise, lampe, et petit ventilateur), ce qui est super agréable. Il y a des grands casiers. Il y a la piscine très agréable, et une table de billard. Le petit déj est super bon ;-) Pour déjeuner ou dîner, il y a la cuisine (supermarché à 1 min à pied), et/ou plusieurs restos à pied également. Pratique pour aller à la cascade (20 min à pied) ou quelques euros en Uber, et la plage est plutôt à 35 min à pied, mais quelques euros en Uber aussi. Espaces communs nickel avec tables, hamacs, canapés… Je recommande, meilleur hôtel/auberge que j’ai fait au Costa Rica 😋 Rien, tout était nickel.

En plus d’être un hôtelier exceptionnel, Pierre est un guide incroyable et donne les meilleurs conseils pour organiser chaque étape de votre voyage au Costa Rica. L’hôtel est plein de charme et dégage une très belle ambiance : on s’y sent immédiatement comme à la maison. Piscine, coin détente, et espace rencontre. Le petit-déjeuner est tout simplement extraordinaire. De loin le meilleur hôtel de tout notre voyage !

- Tomasz (9/5): - Bardzo fajny mały hotelik. Czysty z klimatem i oferujący wszystko co potrzebne do miłego spędzenia czasu. Mały bardzo fajny basen jest kolejnym atutem. W hotelu jest też wypożyczalnia rowerów. Śniadania bardzo dobre. Bardzo dobry stosunek ceny do jakości. POLECAM !!! Nie było nic takiego

- Jeff (10/5): Perfect hostel - Pierre nous a accueilli de la meilleure des manières nous faisant nous sentir chez nous très rapidement . Il nous a aidé autant qu’il pouvait dans la plus grande rapidité , donné de bons conseils (cascade/sunset/restau/ plage) et rendu service sans même nous connaître. Son hôtel/hostel est très bien équipé, les chambres sont confortables , le fonctionnement est parfait pour vous faire apprécier le Costa Rica avec une piscine, de supers smoothies ou encore un petit déjeuner incroyable .

- françois (8/5): - L' ambiance un peu bohème La disponibilité d' une cuisine à disposition Le petit déjeuner très nettement au-dessus de ce qui se fait ailleurs ( on part de loin..) Chambre qui donne sur l' espace commun est bruyante L 'hôtel est localisé près de la grande route. Du coup avec les camions c'est en direct !
- Vanessa (10/5): Pretty, perfect location, super comfortable - Pierre was incredibly welcoming, accomodating and pleasant. The environment was social, allowing me to meet many other travellers. Yet it was never loud at night and they enforced a quiet time from 10pm, which was great. Breakfast was great. I will definitely come back.
- Elie (1/5): - Nothing They are a fraud, they over charge ! They write a price for something then charge whatever they want for it, do not recommend anyone to book to this hotel, this is a fraudulent place, they take your card number and charge you without your consent !

Todo genial, una pena no haber podido quedarnos más días Nada. Recordad llevar candado si compartis habitación para cerrar los lockers, pero eso fue cosa mía :)
- Daniela (9/5): - Das Hostel war sehr nett eingerichtet, sowohl das Zimmer als auch der allgemeinbereich. Der Pool ist auch toll und das Frühstück war sehr lecker ! Es gab frisches Obst und frisch zubereitetes typisch costa-ricanisches Essen.

- decoamarelo (9/5): É uma boa hospedagem. - Pegamos o quarto de casal. Embora tenhamos escolhido um maior, pediram, de forma gentil e com antecipação (whatsapp), para a gente trocar por um menor para que o maior abrigasse outras pessoas, mas está tudo bem, nosso quarto era bom. O hostel é muito bacana e tem uma boa infraestrutura e vibe. Mesmo a pessoa fazendo checkout, ela pode usufruir da infra (piscina, banheiros), o que é ótimo, já que muitas pessoas podem fazer passeios e podem tomar um banho antes de irem embora de Uvita. Café da manhã na média da Costa Rica. O tour pelas instalações também é bacana, porque tem muitas comodidades. Dormimos lá como um ponto no meio do caminho entre Puerto Jiménez e San José e a escolha foi acertada. O café da manhã poderia ser melhor, comparando com 15 dias de viagem pela Costa Rica. A localização é boa para quem tem carro. Para quem está a pé, fica muito longe da praia, mas acho que é a realidade de Uvita, devido à existência de um parque na praia. Apesar de os quartos ficarem em frente às zonas de convivência, não havia barulho que incomodasse (havia festa na rua, mas acabou cedo), mas pode ser um problema em alguns casos, porque não havia isolamento acústico.

- Michael (10/5): - Wir waren mit dem öffentlichen Bus unterwegs und haben deswegen das Tucan Hotel gebucht, da es nur 250m vom Busterminal in Uvita entfernt ist. In direkter Nähe sind viele Restaurants, Supermärkte und Bäckereien. Das Hotel ist modern ausgestattet und hat einen schönen überdachten Bereich mit vielen Sitzgelegenheiten und Hängematten. Es gibt auch einen kleinen Pool. Frühstück war reichlich und lecker. Trotz nähe zu Busterminal war es nachts sehr ruhig. Wir waren abends im Restaurant Tribu ca 1 km entfernt essen. Ebenso eine absolute Empfehlung. 200 m von Tribu entfernt gibt es einen schönen Wasserfall mit mehreren Naturschwimmbecken. Wunderschön zum Schwimmen. Für unserer Bedürfnisse war Hotel absolut top.
- Frédéric (9/5): - Le personnel est à la fois très aidant si besoin, discret et efficace. L'hôtel est vraiment agréable. Il y a de la place dans les dortoirs, les douches dont propres et les communs sont très vastes. Petit déjeuner en buffet, bon et copieux. Un endroit à recommander !

- Anna (10/5): - Oh wow. This scores a 10 on our trip around Costa Rica. The place is perfect but the people are even better! Steven and Pierre are wonderful hosts who can guide you on just about everything. We feel cared for - which I have never written in a review before but that's how it feels at Tucan! We checked in for 2 nights initially but ended up staying for 3. A wonderful stay and I do not wish to leave. The pool is beautiful, the bed is dreamy, the breakfast is delicious and sustaining and the bikes we hired were fab. Thank you Tucan :) Nothing AT ALL

- Castro Arjona (10/5): Paraíso en Uvita - Very good amenities, we have a welcome tour on the check in so we were explained everything, it’s better than in the pictures the hang out area is great, lots of books and games, breakfast is buffet plus gallo pinto as much as you want and everything is delicious, the pool and the swimming pool are great! Rooms are comfortable and shower has good pressure and hot water ! Close to the bank, bus stop and bus station as well as lots of bars, supermarket, walking distance to the Uvita waterfall, we also manage to do Nauyaca which we thought we will not be able to as it was out of our budget but they offer a cheap service of shuttle there with pick up included after and the entrance to the park itself is not expensive so we ended up going and was a great experience. They allow us to leave our bags there and then use the communal shower when we came back before getting our bus to Manuel Antonio, will always recommend ! I wish we stayed longer !!!!

- Annett (8/5): - Eine mit Leidenschaft geführte Anlage. Es gab eine große Auswahl zum Frühstück. Man muss den Hostel Charakter mögen. Es ist aber eine super Möglichkeit mit anderen ins Gespräch zu kommen.
