Jes Magilton (6/5): Not suitable for XL vehicles towing large car trailer - The key pad check in was modern, room size was quite big I called ahead to confirm there was space for a large car towing a large car trailer, upon arrival we found there wasn't actually that much space for us. No drive through sites and it did become challenging to find somewhere to park. We ended up parking behind the gate however not in a designated camp site

There was no extra bedding and was cold asked for heater to be put on as arrived late said yes but never happened was colder inside then out Doona was thin like a blanket not shore ill go back after that

Stephanie (3/5): Cheap stays with freaky flair - Property staff were friendly and made the stay comfortable, we liked the deck, open space and proximity location. The price was pretty good probably a bit more than I would pay. Main bedroom in cabin- very comfy bed. Upon check in, tv not working. Some power points not working. Outside light not working. Some blinds out of function. Sliding door in dining room not in use - partly broken and somewhat off hinges. Towels damp. We noticed three windows in our cabin were not able to lock; bathroom, lounge room and a bedroom. We subsequently used items the motel provided - spatula, butter knives and coat hangers to lock these areas to prevent a potential break in over night. As we were in a cabin situated at the back of the property away from the motel atmosphere and amongst people living at the property full time. We found the space and these people the cabin was amongst to be- a secluded space, fishy, suspicious, and questionable. A person one cabin by, had cctv looking directly into our view. Subsequently we hung a canvas and blanket on the deck to prevent their cctv view into our deck, rooms and space. (Upon checking windows were locked before bed, we noticed at night time, those cameras were intact, in fact constantly red - actively recording into our rooms, deck and residence. This was a concern due to surveillance devices act 1999, child safety and overall expected privacy and quiet enjoyment expectations. These fishy people had a dangerous dog, another a Ute- part of a bus residence, and another a caravan with a strange tarp. These people then reacting to our privacy by calling past multiple times, looking in, laughing and or making jokes, or strange noises. Others driving the Ute to the front and parking it across blocking our car to exit while they left their car idling, door open and in the rain for more than 15 mins, others loud bangs on housing structure, others using lights, some had tarp hanging over their caravan with weird activity, others had what seemed like drug customers in early morning appearing to survey our residence, car, and movements. This affected the overall vibe and sense of safety making this stay feel uncomfortable for us.

I would assume that the cleaning staff saw the water bottle and hopefully handed it in at the front desk - so where is it? A response would have been appreciated.

The water pressure was terrible and the showerhead was placed too low to be useful if you where tall. The bathrooms could of been cleaner, there was hair from a previous guest on the floor. Lindsay (8/5): Great stay near Kyral Castle and Ballarat city centre :) - Great, clean little motel not too far from city centre. We booked it purely to go to Kyral Castle for the Medieval festival which was only a 5 min drive away so also really convenient. Our room was great! Nice big double bed, a little kitchen area with quite a big fridge, nice en-suite with a good shower. It was freezing at night outside but they had a great heater inside that made the room so warm. Highly recommend.

Reception staff (Naomi) was friendly and happy to help. Quite expensive, extra $35 to have our dog stay. The room should be cleaned to an acceptable standard regardless of wether a dog stays there. We don't mind paying a little extra but $35 is a little on the expensive as in total one night is $165. We didn't stay an extra night because of the cost.

I think it would be better if there is a lamp which has adjustable lighting, or one that is more yellowish rather than white in colour, beside the beds.

Location was also good, right on the highway so we could easily get back on the road in the morning. Extremely noisy campers staying at the motel playing loud music until all hours of the morning really disrupted our sleep. I haven’t looked to see if there is a noise policy but if there was it certainly wasn’t implemented.

Jessie (9/5): - Quick easy process for check in. 24hr accessibility and staff are contactable if and when needed. Rooms are basic which is what we like and good value for money. Vending machine kept our coins on 2 occasions that we stayed, without giving us the items we had paid for, not the staff or motels fault though, must just be an issue with that machine itself.
