Guest Reviews
- David (10/5): The people are as great as the place! - Whether you are looking for a hoseback adventure or just a place to kick back, The Rancho is perfect. Its a solid 15 minutes to San Juan if you wish experiece the evenings at the bars. We ate at the ranch every evening We had a car, but were offered rides if staff were heading to town. The food quality and fellowship was outstanding. Blue's rule: nobody leaves hungry! There is a ton of home cooked options. There is an honor system for ice cold beer@$1. Wine and spirits also available. Wine and beer are included with the evening meal. There are well cared for horses for all levels of riding and the ranch hands are great. I had the chance to improve my Spanish with the staff, but if that's not your thing, english is spoken here. Only stay here if you want to be treated like family, (quite possibly better than your own).
- Eric (10/5): Nice hotel quite and very hospitable - Excellent staff!! They do really make you feel like family. Sam our guide made it possible for our horse riding experience which was the reason we were staying there in the first place. Blu the owner is very sweet, she will answer any questions you may have. My wife and I will be back!
- Gae (10/5): Beautiful peaceful experience in paradise - Rancho Chilamate is a wonderful experience for someone wanting to see Nicaragua in all its glory.
It is rich in its views and to calm the spirit if that's what you need. We didn't go horseback riding, just stayed by the pool and took in the peace and quiet. The dinners were wonderfully prepared by
the 2 young gals staying and working there and the conversation was never dull at the dinner table.
We became family listening and understanding one another and getting a big beautiful dose of community with Blue at the head leading the way.
- Jose (4/5): Led to believe the air would be cooler at night - Not happy, nice staff pretty property but was led to believe that it would be cool at night, their website mentions that, but it was like an oven. Worst sleep I've had in years. If you're sensitive to heat I would suggest elsewhere, for such a nice and expensive place I would think A/C would be a standard.
- ERIC (10/5): Great overall hotel experience - Stay here was incredible. Staff is extremely friendly. Dinner was great and included in price of room. Will Stay here again in the future.
