- GLENN (9/5): - Arrived quite late but owners were very helpful .Lovely log fire and comfortable apartment . A bit remote but not a problem to find
- Jacqui (8/5): Lovely stay - Spacious, beautiful surroundings,
- McCutcheon (10/5): -
- Caroline (8/5): A beautiful setting, welcoming host and comfortable bed, etc. I was travelling alone to attend a wedding nearby, the loc - It’s a beautiful setting, very quiet and peaceful Nothing! There’s a fairly long walk to the main door but that’s not a bad thing, I was just worried about getting lost as I knew I’d be coming back late at night and would be drunk! But it was all fine!
- Jennifer (10/5): I hope they stay open forever. - This is the kind of place that makes me wish I rated other places as less than perfect, so I could rate this one better. Firstly, I still can't believe a place could feel so remote and be so close to the center of town at the same time. It's also an impossible combination of extremely attentive people but absolute privacy at the same time. The care they take for the gardens has such a nice effect. Truly an idyllic spot. There is nothing, nothing, nothing not to like.
- hugh (4/5): very expensive especially given there was no breakfast available - comfortable bed and nice sitting area in separate hut Bedroom very small, shower room tiny and didn't match our cleanliness standards, a wasp nest nearby with wasps bothering us.
- Jordan (4/5): - We had no hot water throughout our stay, the host came to resolve it but it still didn't work.
Generally the place was very basic, no kitchen/cooking facilities, only water supply from the bathroom tap.
The walls are paper thin too, we could hear next doors conversations clearly.
It felt pretty pricey for what was on offer.
The photos of the farmhouse are misleading too, the actual accommodation block is separate.

- Anil (7/5): It was all right, great location. On a bit pricy side, hosts are nice - The property location Cleaning can be a bit more and
- jacqueline (9/5): Memorable experience - Very warm and understanding property owner Not applicable
- Gabriele (9/5): -
- CHRISTOPHER (10/5): really enjoyed. nice to see the donkeys next morning! - we stayed for a night to attend a wedding reception at Winters Barns, so a great location for this. Sarah provided a local cab firm who were great and very prompt. it would be really nit picking to ask for a couple of milk portions for a morning cuppa, and almost embarrassed to suggest as everything else was great, but since you ask...
- Saurabh (8/5): -
- Guest (9/5): - Beautiful farmhouse surrounded by lovely garden. Quiet environment. Kind hosts. Possibility to store a bicycle inside the house.
- KELLY (8/5): Lovely rural setting with great grounds and rooms. Quite pricey for 1 night (£180) but much nicer than staying in a prem - Lovely accommodation and grounds. Donkeys and chickens were a great addition for 2 young children. Spacious room (Deluxe family room) Bathroom bin had previous guests sanitary products and rubbish and floors hadn’t been cleaned under sofas. Lots of cobwebs in bedroom that could have easily been cleared. Double bed and mattress seemed well used so not very comfortable.
- Kristy (9/5): - Quiet and peaceful location with plenty of greenery to enjoy. Close to places like Canterbury, Dover and Whitstable but far enough to be in the countryside.
- Sreeja (10/5): Relaxing, comfortable & friendly environment. - Very cosy & comfortable. The farmhouse surrounding suited us well. The non availability of breakfast. This would have boosted the potential!!
- Johanna (8/5): Going back! -
- Silke (10/5): -
- Benjamin (10/5): - Attentive hosts, rooms were well prepared, very cosy and comfortable. Beautiful views. Friendly and entertaining donkeys in the yard. Would advice to contact the host and get the location map ahead of time. We relied on the GPS and it was not that accurate.
- Julia (8/5): -
- Kevin (9/5): More than just accommodation - Beautiful house and setting. The walk down Roman road and across field to local pub. The whole place was mood-enhancing.
- Jacqueline (10/5): -
- Ian (9/5): -
- Sonia (10/5): - Superb hosts, nothing was too much trouble. Exceptionally kind and welcoming. Beautiful setting with donkeys in the field as you drive in.... So close to Canterbury, yet in lovely countryside - a perfect combination! Highly recommended.
- MASAKATSU (10/5): -
- Keith (7/5): - Beautiful location, comfy bed, helpful host No breakfast available on site. Several cobwebs and spiders, not very thoroughly cleaned. Curtains didn't keep the light out in the morning.. £130 for a double room with no breakfast and nowhere nearby to get any seems quite expensive.
- David (8/5): - Pleasent welcome and comfortable room Nothing
- Antrude (8/5): - Great house and garden, lovely to stay here. No breakfastplace nearby when you're on foot. Offering a breakfast would be a great extra!
- Matthew (10/5): Fantastic - Lovely location, friendly hosts, lovely clean room
- stephen (10/5): Tranquil, lovely house and grounds in the Kent countryside. - The owners are very friendly, and the environment is lovely. As I live in congested, dirty London, it was like stepping back into 1930s England, very tranquil and classy. The room was spotless. The trolley to and from the car park is a good idea, as I had a few bags. Nothing
- Andrew (9/5): -
- NIHAN (10/5): Relax and breathe - Both Sarah and David were very helpful, always around, asked for if there is any need of something, morning coffee was a bonus:) The room was clean, the sheets smelled amazing, as a farm house the set up and conditions are very good. nothing i would say, i stayed for one night which was very good
- Tim (10/5): -
- David (10/5): - Such a cool stay, we loved the donkeys!
- Fiona (8/5): Comfortable stay surrounded by lovely countryside - Lovely location Need better blinds/curtains in the toilet
- Kiki (9/5): -
- Phillip (8/5): Very enjoyable, great location and peaceful stay. We would come again. - Wonderful hosts, big thanks to David in particular, who was very accommodating and most helpful with a few issues we had on site.
Beautiful location, kids loved the donkeys and Nutmeg the dog! Living area of our room needed cleaning around furniture.
- Graham (8/5): -
- Valerianne (7/5): - It's a wonderful garden and a very quiet place. Rooms are big and we can stay in the garden with donkeys and others animals. The owner is really kind It's too difficult to access knowing that there is no solution to eat in. Just a small fridge, some cutlery and a barbecue and then need to ask for every thing else.
- Andrew (9/5): -
- Stephen (8/5): Peaceful - The peace and location were superb
- Charlotte (8/5): Beautiful - didn’t want to leave! - What an absolutely stunning place! The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The family room was spacious and our children loved being around the farm and the animals. The early morning wake up call from the cockrel but it added to the experience!
- Anna (9/5): -
- Sean (9/5): A truly gorgeous house on the outskirts of Canterbury, with great hosts - David and sarah were the perfect hosts, this was a last minute booking following a horrendous change in weather, and the two of them couldn't have done for me and my stay. N/A
- Geert (9/5): - Zeer rustige locatie. Mooie, ruime kamer.
- alex (9/5): Very nice - Donkeys ! Be nice to have a breakfast option - maybe continental
- Grace (10/5): -
- Robert (8/5): -
- Susanne (8/5): - Surroundings and the hosts accommodation in storing my BBQ meat. The location is beautiful and peaceful. None
- Dominique (7/5): -
- jeffrey (10/5): - Very nice comfortable accommodation. Beautiful gardens. Nice, helpful, welcoming host
- Antonio (10/5): Heaven in beautiful English countryside - Amazing house in the countryside with David as an unique ambassador that made my experience warm and unforgettable. That i had to leave.
- Xanthe (9/5): Lovely 1 night stay for work in a very pretty location - Beautiful location, very pretty. Lovely host who was very helpful and went the extra mile helping me with travel and local information. Nothing, everything was good
- Inge (9/5): -
- Joanne (10/5): Perfect spot with spacious room - Lovely location. Spotless , spacious and comfortable rooms. Friendly host. Superb.
- Mark (9/5): The most welcoming hosts, who did everything to make our stay enjoyable. - Great location, quiet and peaceful. Great proximity to Winters Barn for wedding and also to Canterbury centre
- Marion (10/5): -
- Christine (10/5): Memorable place with exceptional host who helped with a car breakdown. Coffee and cakes. - Beautiful waking up to cockerel and country sounds.Lovely outside terrace which our family gatheredat in the morning. Nothing
- Christian (6/5): Typical countryside: quiet but remote, authentic but not very comfortable - Quiet location, very friendly owners. Carts to move your luggage (never had that before). Not very private (other guests walking by) unless doors, windows and curtains closed (not advisable at 32C). When opened insects fly inside. Beds noisy and not very comfortable. Donkeys crapped 5m off the front door (smell). Fridge (hotel size) too small to store anything significant in. There is some cutlery but nothing else to actually prepare some food (e.g. microwave). Owners did offer to use theirs.

- Guest (8/5): -
- NICOLAS (9/5): -
- Ming (9/5): If you want to have a family stay. Good choice - Very relaxing and lovely colourful room. If u want to enjoy the countryside or farm. No complaints
- Maria (9/5): Brilliant stay at the most gorgeous location - We had an absolute blissful stay, the farmhouse was very cosy and spacious. The property was super quiet and well maintained, the beds were comfortable and the host was very nice as well. The only downside was that wifi was a bit slow but that might be great if you want a tech detox in nature.
- Tu Anh (6/5): -
- Raphael (10/5): -
- David (9/5): -
- Guest (8/5): ideal say and clean - peaceful and safe. Very friendly My bed sheet kept getting tangled with quilt
- Mariane (10/5): -
- Amy (10/5): Calm & beautiful home 5 mins from Canterbury ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Absolutely beautiful property & incredible views
- Ellen (8/5): -
- Dávid (10/5): Calm place near a historical environment - ideal to charge your batteries or just to stop over while roaming around. - - Location - calm environment but clise to Canterbury centre
- Calm and peaceful ambiance
- Spacious room
- Equipment of the room - mini fridge, kettle, some plates/mugs (even if there was no kitchen/ette)
- Helpful owner Minor issue, but the method of payment - no possibility to charge it on the credit card (as per the usual practice with most places in Booking.com) but had to transfer it to a bank account well in advance. Coming from abroad it was a funny exercise to calculate with the exchange rates in a way to have the exact GBP amount transferred in spite of any minor shift during the period it goes through.
- mkavga (8/5): Nice location but pricey - The location The extra bed was a tiny mattress on the floor
- Wei (9/5): -
- Peter (10/5): Good location. - Good location. Comfortable bed.
- Amelia (10/5): Rural idyll - It's a delightful, secluded, rural cabin with matching summer house with sofas and books. They also have donkeys! And a very happy spaniel called Nutmeg.
It's a perfect place for switching off, but also just a short drive into Canterbury. We loved it.
You can even have a small real fire in your bedroom. Whole experience was great fun. Also, there were sachets of oatmilk as well as dairy in the tea/coffee basket, which was really thoughtful.
- Bruce (8/5): - Wonderful setting and very spacious rooms. The shower wasn't great.
- Kostjacer (9/5): - I'm a frequent bird in that neck of the woods when around Canterbury.
Very pleasant stay, beautiful surroundings.
Very homey feeling. N/a
- PS (9/5): Lovely holiday we had with friends - location and facilities and space nothing specific
- Ewen (10/5): Iffin Farmhouse was a wonderful place to stay. Warm, clean and an absolutely fabulous location. - Everything, especially the location which was quiet and lovely.
- caroline (10/5): -
- Urszula (8/5): - I like very much the area which was quite farm, large parking, cosy little bungalow and a lot of wildlife around. Unfortunately shower didn't work fully and water didn't drain from wet room floor. However it wasn't a huge problem for us. We spent most of the time visiting beautiful Canterbury.
- Duncan (9/5): - A beautiful, secluded getaway. Loved being best the donkeys!
- Isil (10/5): Enjoyable stay - Peaceful and lovely host.
- Kirsty (9/5): Lovely stay for a group with accessibility needs. - A lovely property, really close to the city but in the heart of the countryside. We were travelling in a group and one of the party is a wheelchair user, it was very hard to find somewhere that accommodated her but this property was just perfect. There was ample parking for us all. The hosts were incredibly accommodating and communication before, during and after the stay was excellent. Just one small oversight on the part of the cleaners/ previous occupants in that the dishwasher was left dirty
- Adrian (10/5): Ahhhh have to go again - it all The owners , the location to Canterbury, the proberty and surroundings. the history of the area , the peace and quiet.
- Fiona (9/5): Lovely quiet homely B&B in the countryside but very convenient for Canterbury. - Lovely location down a holloway on a farm (with donkeys!) two miles outside Canterbury. Single room was spacious with own bathroom facilities next door. Friendly hosts. It was all good.
