Velez (10/5): Acceso parqueo - Nunca encuentro cama ni almohada cómoda, hasta que llegué al hotel Intercontinental Real SD. Que no haya conexión con el parqueo , hay que salir a la calle de nuevo. Pero es un detalle que se pierde con los detalles del hotel.

The shower head was to high and the water spread too wide and it was difficult to wash my hair. 2. Not much pressure in the shower (maybe shower head was clogged) 3. Pancake and waffle could be better and fluffier 4. Swimmingpool was quite cold 5. The glass wall at the pool needs deep cleaning. It's stained with watermarks

VikMoody (10/5): Birthday Trip - I want to start by saying how much I truly enjoyed my stay at the InterContinental Hotel. From the moment you arrive, the service begins immediately, with a warm greeting from the bellman who is ready to assist you. The front desk staff are attentive and welcoming, and that level of care continues throughout the entire stay. Housekeeping does an excellent job keeping the rooms spotless and comfortable. Room service was efficient, and when I had clothes sent for dry cleaning and laundry, everything was returned promptly and in perfect condition. I also really enjoyed the service from the pool bar staff and the restaurant team, who were both friendly and professional. The view from the 18th floor was breathtaking — I loved being able to watch both the sunrise and sunset from my room. What truly made my stay unforgettable was a special birthday surprise. I received a knock on my door, and the hotel staff presented me with a beautiful strawberry cheesecake with a candle and “Happy Birthday” written in Spanish in chocolate. It brought tears to my eyes to be recognized in such a thoughtful way by the hotel. It was a wonderful moment that I will always cherish. This hotel truly knows how to do hospitality the right way, and I would gladly stay here again.

Carlos O. (9/5): Elegant city hotel with great service, beautiful rooms, and excellent views - The customer service at this hotel was very attentive and professional from the moment we arrived. The room was beautiful, spacious, extremely clean, and offered an amazing view. Everything in the room worked well after a minor issue was resolved, and the bed was exceptionally comfortable, ensuring great rest. The Club Lounge on the 21st floor had outstanding views of the city, and while the food was not extraordinary, it was good and consistent. Overall, the hotel delivers a refined, comfortable experience that feels well-organized and upscale. The fridge in the room was completely empty, which was surprising for a hotel of this caliber, even paid minibar options would have been appreciated. There was also an issue with running water in the shower that required a technician and took about 30 minutes to fix, though it worked perfectly afterward.

Tania (10/5): Great place to stay in Santo Domingo, but pricy - Super clean, super comfortable and delicious breakfast. Better to pay in advance because it is the first time in booking.com that the tariff paid defers so much from the one quoted by booking.com. For the expensive price, we should maybe get a bathrobe and slippers for the poolside.

The staff throughout the hotel were incredibly friendly and always ready to assist with a smile. In celebration of our anniversary, they upgraded our room to a suite—and it was absolutely glorious! Spacious, elegant, and with breathtaking views, it truly made our trip feel extra special. The on-site dining options are impressive, but the sushi restaurant is an absolute must-try—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The spa experience was equally amazing. I highly recommend the deep tissue massage for total relaxation. The salon was top-notch as well. The pool area, the jacuzzi, and the bar service all exceeded expectations. Everywhere you turn, there’s something to enjoy, and the hospitality is consistent throughout. If you’re staying in the capital area, this hotel is a must. I’ve already booked my return trip in two weeks—because once you experience this level of service and these stunning views, you’ll want to come back again and again.

RichardHillard (10/5): Friendly Luxury Hotel in Santo Domingo city - A one night stay with my wife after arriving at the Airport before onward journey to Puerto Plata. The hotel was everything I would expect of an Intercontinental with large, well fitted out rooms, good F&B facilities and friendly staff. Given some of the surrounding area is very busy, the hotel was an oasis of calm with good views over downtown Santo Domingo from the higher floors. The Club Lounge was excellent on the 21st floor. Melvin and Ariel made us feel very welcome and there was an excellent choice of canapés in the evening as well as a relaxing atmosphere to take breakfast in the next morning. Mr Sebastian was super efficient and helpful in the main breakfast area and whilst acting as Front of House on Reception. Nina handled our check-in and was knowledgeable about the IHG rewards programme. Overall, a pleasant stay which I would happily repeat.
