Guest Reviews
- Don (2/5): BAD! I value a night at no more than $55 - False advertising and images on so many levels. It's dirty, small, not reachable, promised free parking online and there was none. Michal the owner was nice but the entrance is smelly and shady and terrible.
I booked 6 nights and left after 1 night. This motel is not worth more than $55 a night.
Too many wrongs to even mention here.
Constructions, dirty, noisy. Scary at night with valley entrance.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Clean and up to date. Convenient location close to buses, dining and shopping. Friendly and helpful staff
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice hostel - There was an issue with check-in. We booked for a triple and the hotel confirmed it, but on the day they gave us a double. They fixed it by giving us two rooms but ended up not using it because we’re travelling with a child (can’t really separate sleep quarters especially if rooms far apart). It was a tough night. Overall, friendly staff, location is central, hostel is clean and up to date. I wouldn’t mind coming back.
- Jeffrey T (6/5): Hostel Price without Breakfast - I have stayed in a lot of hostel in Israel. This was less comfortable than a hostel. Most hostels have a free breakfast with the room. It makes the room very expensive and less luxurious than a youth hostel. But the location was nice, if you do not need parking.
- Edson (10/5): Estadia espetacular - MARAVILHOSA estadia. Recepcionista muiti atenciosa, muitas facilidades, café disponível todo tempo, perto de tudo. Quarto lindo. Funcionários muito legais. Tour free. Realmente muito bom.
- Martyn (8/5): Ok - Single night stay on way to airport, good location and close to the beach
- jeancarlo (2/5): - the terrible service, they never told me that you couldn't park in front of the hotel, pay 270 for the ticket
- Thang (8/5): - We stayed in the one bedroom flat. It was comfortable although there were obvious signs of wear and tear. The location is very close to restaurants and publi
- Paul (10/5): - Great staff great location quite safe clean
- David (6/5): Share a bath with strangers - I was surprised that we are sharing the bath with another unit. It's xxA and xxB type of room configuration. I don't believe this is clear on the reservation page. Other than that, the hotel is conveniently located.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Everything is very bad especially workers in reception
We will never return to this hotel
I don’t recommend any one
- Fabiola (8/5): - Very good location and friendly staff
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Friendly staff and good location. They have beach towels, so we could get a quick shower before going to the airport, even after we checked out.
- Lexi (8/5): - Great location. I liked having workers at the front desk at all times.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - My biggest issue was the heat. I turned up the heater to the maximum and it was still cold in my room. I told the receptionist downstairs. She said you’ll look into it. It wasn’t resolved
- Daniel (8/5): - Great location. Nice touch with cookies in the room. The lounge on the the 1st floor was a perfect place to hang out.
- Evy (8/5): Excellent - it was good and clean and friendly people, I will recommend to friends and family
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Like a home away from home. Comfortable and large room with a balcony, and a great location close to a supermarket and restaurants. Easy access to public transport too.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - good location, friendly staff and nice breakfast at the nearby restaurant
- MRC (8/5): - Great value for money
Location and ease of access are tops
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The hotel is right in the downtown area and just a short walk to the beach. The hotel staff was kind and very helpful. The room was clean, as well as the bathroom that we shared with our neighbors. I would definitely recommend this place and I will stay here again!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The front desk people were great, the rooms are as they appear online. Very convenient location.
Happy with my overall stay
- Anna (8/5): Great service!!! - So this is a hostel! Even though it says hotel. The staff was very friendly and nice. Super helpful! It was clean. Daily cleaning. Please read when booking. Most rooms are shared bathroom and kitchen. So it may be an inconvenience. It’s small. Located to everything close by. Walking distance. For breakfast they give vouchers and you have a choice of 2 places. Overall I’m happy. I would definitely book with them again. Also they offer 24 hour check in. Which is super useful for those coming in late.
- Erwin (8/5): Good Hotel in a Great Location - This hotel is located conveniently next to the beach (5mins walk). Among benefits such as a coffee and lounge area, they also offer beach towels. However, make sure to get your towel early in the day as they often run out. All you have to do is sign the towel out when you take it and cross your name off the list when you return it. The staff was friendly and helped us to get on the bus that goes to the airport. The room itself was ok, nothing fabulous, but it did offer a clean, quiet place to sleep at night. The hotel has a very hostel-esque feel, minus the lack of privacy, which was never a concern.
Minor issue: TheAC on the main room is not blowing cold air, good thing there was a second AC on the other room. Also thye have very thin walls, you can hear anyone talking on the hallway.
Tips: For those looking to walk a little less and see a little more, we thoroughly enjoyed renting Lime scooters and enjoyed zipping along on one of the many paths the city has dedicated to bikes and scooters. Reminder, scooters should be parked in the designated parking areas. This helps the next person out greatly who is looking for a selection of devices. Make sure to select a fully charged scooter. No fun if it dies in the middle of the ride.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The receptionist named Serena was very helpful and kind. The service was excellent.
- Sofia (10/5): Very good - Very nice hotel close to.the beach. Very good
- Adine (10/5): Central, clean and comfortable Tel Aviv hotel! - The ladies at the front were always friendly and helpful. The room was clean and neat and very comfortable. The location was perfect. Very central ... beach, shops, restaurants. There wasn’t an option for a late check out but the lounge facility upstairs with a bathroom and shower worked well for us.
- Rosalie (10/5): - Great near the beach and great transportation to the airport!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Nice place, clean comfortable great location very safe.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Excellent property. Central location. 10 minutes to beach 10 minutes to Dizengoff. Bus straight from airport to outside hotel. Staff very polite and helpful and friendly.
- Prema (8/5): Proximity to beach - The check in was smooth. Rooms were good but wifi was patchy. Kept throwing me out but worked fine when connected. Common rooms on floor 1 was convenient to meet all but breakfast included in restaurant elsewhere wasn’t convenient.
- cassandra (2/5): Beware!! SHARED BATHROOMS, HORRIBLE GUEST RELATION - Ended up leaving and eating the money for the night because they assigned me to a "shared bathroom" room even though that's not what I booked. They claimed to have sent me an email which I never got. They had no normal rooms available and wouldn't refund us. The place looked disgusting anyway so I took the financial loss to find a place more humane to sleep at.
- Ilanit (10/5): - Very good place
Good value for money
Excellant location
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Gteat location, close walk to the beach and all TelAviv atractions
- Yoshihiro (10/5): - Am Jun
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Stayed in more expensive hotels. Should have discovered this place first. TWO THUMBS UP!!!
- ora (8/5): - The staff was very helpfull. The room was comfortable.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - It was great for short term stop, The room was very small and we wished it would’ve had a bathroom on its own.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - My experience was so bad that even the location (close to the beach) couldn't be of any comfort to me, and I was counting the days to leave. We even slept at relatives whenever it was possible just to avoid staying in the stinky hotel. We would leave early in the morning and come back late at night just to avoid staying there. The smell in the room was of mold, the entrance as well, and we left the main door open to get some air to diminish the bad smell. Nevertheless, our room whose windows couldn't open to the open air was stinky and suffocating. Not once our room was not cleaned. when I told the receptionist she said, "I can't help you. The cleaning lady has already left." such "professional" answeres I got whenever I asked for something. lack of soaps, towels, toilet paper was common, and I had to to go the cart by myself and take those things so that we won't stay without the. I have much more to say, But I think you got the overall impression. I hope Expedia would stop recommend this hotel if they care about their clients.
- Yael (4/5): More like a hostel, felt old and dingy - This hotel felt like more of a youth hostel. The photos are much nicer than the actual rooms which felt dingy and old. The staff was nice and helpful but overall I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. It’s expensive for what you get. It might be a good option for young people looking for a cheap room they can come back to after a night at the bars but it was not a good option for us a couple with a young child. The room was small and stuffy and there was a lot of noise in the hallway.
- Stan,Tiff (8/5): - The staff was warm, helpful, and accommodating. The room was clean and the view from the private balcony was great. The room also included a small kitchenette area equipped with a full refrigerator-freezer, a microwave, a sink, dishes, and silverware. It was very convenient. We were able to go the supermarket and pick up quick items that were microwaveable. Also, the location was perfect. We had the busy city life in front of us but behind the hotel we had the Mediterranean Sea and the lively Beach. We were right in the middle of the city. There was a supermarket next door. Also, there were many shops in walking distance. However, the bathroom could've used a little updating. The second floor lounging room was convenient. It had free coffee & tea. The outdoor balcony on the 2nd floor was small but had a great view. Overall our stay was good!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Location at a reasonable rate. Just a block off of Gordon Beach.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This is an amazing budget hotel - it is very clean and comfortable to stay in. The staff are there 24/7 and are so helpful. Will definitely be staying again
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Good location and simple design. Nice lounge. Good curtains.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Ehhhh - Great location. I stayed in a room where I had to share a separate bathroom with another room. Not my type of hotel for 123 bucks a night. Room could sleep three, with one twin and one full
- Verified traveler (10/5): For this level of hotel, it was great!! - Usually, I stay at 4-to 5-star hotels. Getting my arrival date mixed up, I failed to immediately secure a hotel for my first night. So, I looked for a hotel that would work for sleeping off the jet lag, and chose Gordon Inn. This was my first experience in a hostel, so I didn’t know what to expect. I wondered: How much privacy would there be? How thin would the walls be? I am pretty particular, preferring a lot of privacy and low noise levels. I really enjoyed my stay here!! The beds are comfortable; the bedding is soft. The room, other than some brief 5am city noise, was quite quiet. The curtains blocked out a lot of light. The rooms and common areas were clean. The staff was pleasant, giving us taxi advice and other helpful tips. I would definitely stay here again and recommend this place to singles and couples. The location can’t be beat, as you are a short walk from the beach, grocery store (next door), and restaurants. Staying here can also be a great alternative to more expensive close-by hotels if you don’t need a pool and other amenities. Tel Aviv, I have found, is quite expensive, so this place can help bring down your costs while giving you excellent beach access. I also didn’t notice our suite mates much, so our stay felt private. The interiors are stylish and very clean. Tip: If you need a USB adapter, you can get one at the grocery store next door.
- Seeta (6/5): Friendly staff - Had done trouble Check in when the hotel had cancelled our reservation. However the problem was solved by friendly helpful staff. It really is a hostel - maybe it should be advertised as such on hotels.com?
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Centrally located and close to the beach. Not far from Jaffa-Jerusalem
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The furniture in the room was a little broke and the balcytable was very worn
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The location is good for visiting Tel Aviv as most of the things are within 1-2 km. The booked room was alright and price, considering very high average prices in Israel, was correct. The reception area is very small and can get very cramped at check-in. Staff are nice and helpful despite busy times which can be very stressful for them and for the guests.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Location and cost. An easy walk to the beach. Priced nicely for very expensive Tel Aviv.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We had a great time staying at Gordon Inn. Staff were so helpful and we felt comfortable. 24hr super market is just around the corner.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The Gordon Inn is nice place to stay. . It was clean but could of dressed up better.
- Jakim (2/5): Bad bad - Horrible service and accommodations. Shut this place down. Had someone in my room and they refused to get them out and was forced to leave from the horrible conditions without a defund!!! NVER AGAIN!!
- Dina (8/5): - I would stay here again. Nice size bed. Mini fridge, microwave, safe, all things I needed.
- martin (8/5): Ok for the price - Ok apart from the street noise. The room wasn't double glazed and let a lot of sound in.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - This little property was perfect for our needs; we needed a comfortable and close location for one overnight in between tours. Check in was smooth and easy and our room was perfect!
- Andrea (10/5): Budget Hotel Exceeded Expectations - Very pleasantly surprised at this budget hotel. Other plans fell through and we had to book at the last minute, rooms were available at budget price so I wasn't expecting the wonderful experience we had at this little gem of a hotel! Highest marks go to the staff for a very warm welcome and excellent recommendations for how to spend our day in Tel Aviv. The rooms (we rented 2 for a family of 4) were set up as a small suite with a shared bathroom and modern stylish decor, comfy beds, sparkling clean and a bonus balcony overlooking Ben Yehuda St. The location is perfectly situated, literally 3 min walk to beach, great restaurants, shopping and nightlife. We don't usually do budget hotels but I would not hesitate to stay at the Gordon Inn again!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very good location, clean and comfortable.
Staff very helpful and great breakfast!!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We loved everything about the Great Pyramid Inn. Alladin the manager was amazingly helpful when our luggage did not arrive. He went way above his duty to help us get it back. He even provided a driver and car so we could buy some clothes. Ali Baba and Yoseph in the restaurant were so friendly and offered great service. The view of the pyramids and Sphinx are spectacular, and you can even watch the sound and light show for free from the restaurant. I can thoroughly recommend this place
- Valeriia (6/5): ok for a very short stay - My only comment will be that room (where two twin beds) and bathroom need an upgrade, scraped wallpapers, sockets are not trustworthy, kinda cheap furniture, the room is way to small for two people. I was surprised when discovered that there's a shared bathroom for two separate rooms, never booked something like this before, will be more attentive net time as it's not convenient at all.
Nice location, Ben Yehuda street has everything, it's parallel to the sea shore.
Other than that, small nice place, however, quick pricey if you think that there's a shared bathroom.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Reasonable and comfortable in Tel Aviv. - The building and its entrance are off-putting. No security in the hallways, as anyone can take the elevator from street level to any of the floors without passing the entrance level and check-in desk. That was worrisome. However, the room was very clean and updated and comfortable.
- Anshuman (8/5): Good Location, Comfortable Acco, Limited Facility - Great value-for-money hotel in Tel Aviv. Not on the beach, but a short walk away. Doesnot do breakfast or any food per se. Gym is nearby and you need to pay for it. Rooms are ok, without being great. Had lots of trouble with wifi as well.
However, what makes up for it are the good natured helpful ladies who run the property...Sheeran, Mila and the others are super helpful and available 24/7. So, do stay there if you are looking for decent accommodation only, near the beach.
- Verified traveler (6/5): I would have preferred more comfort - I did not realize the Gordon Inn was closer to a hostel than a business hotel. The location was good; there were just no amenities in the hotel, nor was the decor particularly pleasant. My 'city view' was a small window looking out over the back alley. Everything felt very geared towards backpackers and trekkers. Not quite right for a business trip. But the staff were very friendly and helpful, which I appreciated.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The standard rooms were tiny and the shared bathroom reeked of mold. The renovated rooms are so much nicer but overpriced.
- Hiro (8/5): - Sushi restaurant and Super market located 1st floor.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Nice rooms close to the beach. Bery warm hospitality.
- Laurie (10/5): Nicest staff in Tel Aviv, very much a budget choic - This is a small, budget place: no real coffee or nice breakfast, but the NICEST people! They accommodate Shabbas guests, it is minutes from great shul, the beach, and there is a super market next door. It is run down, and shabby, to be sure, but kindness means a lot. There’s a kitchen and a little balcony in the room. It is clean, and they are generous with beach towels. If you need fancy, look elsewhere, but if you will mostly be out and about, it is just fine.
- Ekaterina (8/5): - Reception staff is very helpful, quick and making great job.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - lovely time in Tel Aviv thanks to the friendly staff and wonderful facilities at the Gordon Inn. Proximity to shops and beach were definitely a great plus. Will return
- Sue (10/5): Surprising hidden comfort. - The staff were very accommodating and informative. The room was clean and comfortable and in exactly the right neighbourhood for my needs. It was also very close to the beach which is always an added bonus.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great stay in Tel Aviv! - Really friendly, attentive, helpful staff.
Also very knowledgeable and ready to give you information. Superb location near to beach front, restaurants, markets, with easy access to local transport. Or just simply enjoy walking about as all is within walking distance. Safe environment. Functional accommodation.
- Wanderer (4/5): Inconsistent service, no amenities - There seem to be a huge number of rotating staff, so you deal with someone different every day. Some are good, some are not. The room was not clean on arrival, the floor had to be mopped again. No phone in the room--that is a real negative. Cramped, badly designed bathroom. Great location.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Clean, trendy, great location. - Very clean, great view of Ben-Yehuda street, close to beach, shared bathroom and kitchenette area, secure. Great place! Would definitely stay there again.
- Bryan (6/5): Ok because it’s cheap/ renovated part very nice - I luckily got room on new side of hotel that was a very nice suite/ unfortunately to get there u must walk out of hotel through a dark ally that feels a little like a good place to get mugged. Be careful it the sharing bathroom thing on ecomy rooms (apt-Like suites they try and rent out individual rooms in)- nice people though - o and keys from like the 80s motels
- LY (8/5): - Very friendly and helpful staff. Not a luxury experience, but close to the beach and central location, and perfectly acceptable for a short stay. And unlike many other comparable hotels, there are family suites, which is better value than 2 separate rooms.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Amazing stay, great staf, prime location! - We had an amazing experience at this place. the room was always clean and cozy,
The staff was always attentive and willing to help with recommendations. Everything was amazing.and convenient!
I would definitely recommend this place and would come back in the future.
- Genel (10/5): - The hotel was very clean, so I slept very well. The reception was polite and very helpful. I will highly recommend to friends and family.
- Patricia (10/5): Nothing fancy but clean and decent - Quirky little place, staff friendly and helpful.
Private room on third floor at the back very quiet. Nice to have frig, microwave and grocery store next door. Lots of restaurants nearby.
- Verified traveler (2/5): No - Terrible hotel with terrible attitude and no services. It was dirty in the bathtub and hair in the sink. A sheet with a stain
. Not recommended
- Marc (10/5): Beach was awesome. - Nice room close to beach. Hockey on tv. Would've stayed a week if I could and didn't have a car to park.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Hopeless and fraudulent overpriced pretend inn - Greeted by a dirty alleyway and a horribly inconvenient and filthy entry. Not a hotel at all. Not an inn. A hostel camouflaged.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice stay! - Really loved that the location was close to the beach. The reception staff was really nice, room was great, facilities are a little old but not uncommon for hotels in this area. Clean, however, I think some of the furniture and curtains could've been less dusty, so not super clean. I had a kitchenette, which was fabulous, and appreciated the elevator. I found food and groceries expensive in this area. I walked to Jaffa via the beach strand, took about an hour (2.5 miles?) to get there. And back by taxi, 30 shekels. I wish I had stayed longer and seen more of Tel Aviv, the location was good for it.
- George (8/5): Not very clean hotel in a great location. - Is only a great location but the pictures shown are even close how the place looks like, there are hostels in a better conditions.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good affordable option close to the beach - A modern backpacker style accommodation. Clean, modern and affordable. Staff were very friendly and keen to help. Decent room wifi.
- Desi Arnez (8/5): great location. Quiet. - Came for my nieces wedding and wanted a place close to where my brother was staying. Staff were extremely nice. We had an upgraded room so we had a private bathroom. Some rooms have shared bath. Since we are Sabbath observant they put us on the first floor to make it easy for us as we can't use the elevator.
- JAIRO (10/5): good place, nice service - Great
- karla (8/5): helpful staff - I chose this hotel as its only 7 minutes from the state airport and I was going on an early flight to Eilat. Hotel is nothing fancy but it's clean and staff were very helpful when I asked questions.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Private room in hostel - A nice private room in a hostel. Was concerned when put in the room next to reception but had no problems.
- Sailosi (8/5): Worth the one night stay - Comfortable and affordable...we all loved our stay.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It was more than we expected. Good reception. Comfortable and clean. Will go back anytime.
- Verified traveler (6/5): internet connection was not working - small hotel, good breakfast, internet only worked in the lobby
- Daniel (8/5): Decent hotel and great customer service - The customer service was great. The bed was comfortable but the management should definitely look into cleaning up some of the rooms and redoing the bathrooms as the shower itself was way to small for comfort.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Ok place near grocery and food places. - After spending a week roaming Bethlehem, Jerusalem, Haifa, Jaffa and other relevant places around Israel. The place provided a comfortable resting place prior to heading home.
- Jane (10/5): Value for the money - All together a very nice stay , nice clean room with good breakfast
Great location very close to the beach and many restaurants in the area. Nice staff open 24 hours ,
- M (6/5): Adequate plus a bit more - We stayed three days (but only two nights, since our flight left in the middle of the night). Breakfast is offered in a downstairs restaurant and is delicious, served by a lovely, friendly, helpful person who knows several languages. The room itself had everything we needed, as did the lobby. The outside appearance leaves something to be desired, but don't be put off by it. Inside is fine!
- Marsha (8/5): Friendly hotel in great location. - The hotel was a friendly and convenient place for our 2-day stay. We had two adjoining bedrooms as our grown children were spending some of the time with us. The rooms were basic but comfortable and extras, such as beach towels, were available on request. The location is a bit gritty and busy, but the rooms on upper floors, at least, were quiet enough, and the beach was very close. The staff was very helpful and cheerful.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Nice location for city and beach - The location is good for the beach, just 2 blocks back. The room however was very small and bathroom shared with another room (economy room). The people working there were really nice and helpful, and the breakfast at Fresh (just 2 doors down) was really good. Vegan options and good coffee.
- Enrique (10/5): Excellent Stay! - Clean hotel Tlv downtow, next to beaches and restaurants, good service and great staff! thank you!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Lovely stay - The hotel is in a great location, 5 minutes from the beach. There is a supermarket and restaurants outside. The breakfast was really nice, we had Israeli food which really hit the spot. We stayed in room 13, it was a very clean and open room.
Our favorite thing about the hotel Wes the cleaner, I dont remember her name but the young lady with the Hijab was really nice and her politeness made our stay!
I would recommend staying here again.
